Paylocity has a defective customer service website
Paylocity has a defective customer service website. If a customer tries to recover a password, the website says it will send a temporary passcode for logging prior to recovering or establishing a new password. The problem is that the temporary passcode is never delivered to the customer. Log in remains impossible.

Just registered, wrote EVERYTHING down then tried to log in... it says that my credentials are wrong. So I requested a temporary password sent to the email I listed when registering... NOTHING! Tried several times, then requested a temporary password sent to the phone number I listed when registering... NOTHING! It's like a dead app. Our company is changing to this system and it's obvious it's going to be a real headache.

Unprofessional recruiter
Greg Frank Senior Recruiter, Technology for Synapse Health, called twenty minutes late for our initial interview. Didn't apologize at all and claimed his Roomba knocked out his internet. I rarely complain but after thinking about this it doesn't make sense and it's just the decent thing to do to show some remorse at all. Then after almost an hour on the phone with me at the end when I asked about next steps, commented, "I'll share this all with the hiring manager, we'll see if he wants to hire you." The next day I received the following email:
Synapse Health LLC [158005]

Paylocity tax department
Paylocity filed our 941x for the ERC credits and now that the IRS is auditing them, Paylocity will not help to back up the numbers on the tax return THEY filed for us. All i get is a customer service rep wanting to show me how to run reports. Well, those look back reports don’t match the register. And neither of those numbers tie to the 941x figures. All we need is the backup to the tax return calculation. Seems simple right? Someone should be able to show me/ and the IRS the backup to the return! And i STILL, after 9 months of this, can’t get anyone from the actual tax office on the phone with me to support their figures. This is hundreds of thousands of dollars that Paylocity is holding up and now the IRS is ready to deny my return bc Paylocity can’t support the Return they filed.
Desired outcome: My ERC money that we are legally due to receive as a result of these tax credits.
Paylocity has failed to provide our company with valid ****s for contractors in 2021
Paylocity has failed to provide our company with valid ***s for contractors in 2021. Multiple attempts to contact Paylocity and fix this issue have been made. The company has gotten nowhere with them. Paylocity is LEGALLY obligated to file ***s on behalf of the contractors who were paid through Paylocity payroll. Phone calls to Paylocity have not have not been helpful and our account manager does not respond to our inquiries. Once again, Paylocity is breaking the law by not providing ***s to our company. If the issue cannot be solved by the Complaintsboard.com we will escalate to the IRS.Unfortunately, much of the communication with Paylocity so far, has been over the phone. I will submit some of the email responses I've gotten from service reps who claim to have helped me solve the issue, but the emails were empty.

Paylocity has failed to gather our needed tax codes for out-of-state employees putting our company at risk for being out of compliance
Paylocity has failed to gather our needed tax codes for out-of-state employees putting our company at risk for being out of compliance. Additionally, the tax codes previously provided were incorrect and incomplete. Employees are negatively impacted by the incompetence of Paylocity. For MONTHS we have been contacting them about the tax codes and we have been assured many MANY times that the tax codes were applied for and would be coming to us at any moment and we found out they have been lying about that for MONTHS. Additionally, they have allowed unauthorized contacts to receive confidential information after we have asked them many times to update this information. Most recently, I thought this issue had been fixed, but once again they lied to me. Additionally, they mishandled over $16k of our CEOs $401k funds and they funds have not been located.

I was recently laid off in a Reduction in Force. I am eligible for unemployment but I cannot complete the application because I am missing paystub information from my penultimate employer that is locked *** in Paylocity. I have contacted my former employer and Paylocity and asked for help and gotten no where.
Ex-employer denies access to 2021 pay stubs for employees
Former employer not granting access to employees for them to obtain pay stubs from 2021. Company debited my account on 2/18/2022 for $659.25 for W2s to be mailed but over a dozen did not receive. When I called Paylocity, I was told that I would have to pay another approximately $500 to extend my service in order to receive a copy of W2s for all employees. My account was then debited another $20 yesterday to have W2s sent to me electronically after emailing the payroll service to obtain pay stubs for an employee. I do not have access to the system and no employees have access to obtain their own information. I was told yesterday by a Paylocity representative that unless I pay another approximately $500 for extended service that no employee would be able to access their W2 or pay stubs. I am not sure if this is illegal but it certainly is unethical. As the employer, by law, I believe all employees should have access to their own information.

a long term customer of ***, was acquired by another company in October . Service with Paylocity was terminated in November as no payroll was being generated. Closing out of *** profit sharing program requires total hours and gross wages for the term year (2021) for IRS reporting. Paylocity refuses to provide this simple report unless ELS pays $1,000 to have "extended access" to the web site. Also, as a former employee, I am no longer able to access my payroll data from the web site. This feels like extortion for information that was previously paid for.
After my husband's demise in Dec 2020, I requested Paylocity to maintain dental coverage in my name.
When my husband passed away in December , I asked Paylocity to continue the dental coverage for myself only and in my name with Delta Dental of Missouri. They said that they'd be happy to do so and I was told by a representative at Paylocity that all I had to do was send monthly payments of $26.02. I have sent them a check every month starting January and I have now paid this fee through October 1st. Nine Payments. I had a dental cleaning done in February 21 and was scheduled for a second cleaning in August 21. The dentist office called me the day before my appointment telling me that Delta Dental had never been informed of my subscription and I was not on their coverage. I need bi-annual cleanings because of underlying periodontal issues and I have paid for this right to have dental coverage. I spoke with a representative in their customer service office. She told me that no policy was ever initiated. Paylocity shows no intention of refunding the money I've sent them.

Paylocity incorrectly filed a W-2 for me for the 1Q of 2019. My employer notified the company of the error on 2020. Paylocity confirmed its error in writing but to date has not issued a corrected W-2. I called customer service multiple times and was advised my call would be returned by a supervisor. No one would returned a single call. Email contact unable to correct the error. IRS issued tax deficiency and advised I needed to to file a petition in tax court.
Paylocity suspended my FSA account debit card as they did not have a receipt for one of my payments last year. I called to find out why my account was suspended on 11/15. The customer support rep told me I needed to upload the receipt or email it them for the suspension to be lifted. I did that on 11/15. I called again on 11/29 and I was told the same thing. I told the latest customer support rep that I had emailed it. She put me on hold while she went to check if it had been received. The line then went dead and I did not receive any follow up contact. I am now waiting on their customer support line again but I am not sure how many hours I need to be on hold to get this issue resolved.
We use Paylocity for payroll processing, I am the *** our client # is ***. On 2/23/22 one of the employees (me) had to have their payroll re-run as the 401K deduction was incorrect on 2/15/22. The original payroll run was credited and rerun on 2/23/22 and the proper deduction was taken. All of the paystubs are accurate. The problem is that the deduction of over $15K never made it to the 401K provider, iSolved/TPC. My bookkeeper and HR Manager have tried to resolve this matter over the last 7 days to no avail. Today I tried calling Paylocity myself and was told that my bookkeeper or HR Manager would need to submit for resolution as I was not listed on the account. My next step is to *** for damages. This is the worst customer service and lacks fiduciary responsibility.
We recently obtained services with Paylocity for payroll services
We recently obtained services with Paylocity for payroll services. We were to have an onboarding period and some training. The initial onboarding went okay with only about 4 errors that have been corrected. We were promised two things that have been a disaster. 1) We were promised the ability to create a user that could have some information held confidential so that that person could process payroll but some staff member's items could be kept confidential. 2) We were told that this company could process two states. To a degree they have been able to but I have been unable to get accurate help. If no work is done in one of the states it still displays taxible hours. If work is done in both states the hours need to be split accordingly, but the software does not allow manual % data entry, so the taxes withheld may be incorrect. 3) on the W-4's the additional tax withholdings were not added to the standard tax deduction but put in place of the tax table. MANY ERRORS & no HELP

Our company *** began the implementation process with paylocity in April
Our company *** began the implementation process with paylocity in April. Some data was imported from our old system incorrectly. We touch one thing and something else breaks. This stems from the implementation being done incorrectly and when we asked to have our data reimported we believe this was not completed. We have reached out to so many people at paylocity and no one communicates with us on anything being resolved. We have reached out to Nathan ***, Kevin ***, Ashley ***, Danny ***, and Ben *** without any resolve. We cannot use recruiting as it does not link to indeed as we were promised. We have reached out multiple times to our benefits person, Valerie and never got a response. We have many tax issues/questions pending from six months ago that have not received answers (that we need answered). There are errors on every 403B upload that paylocity does and this is unresolved. We need a fully functioning system and we need answers on what went wrong.

Home Care Advantage (HCA) uses Paylocity for processing payroll
Home Care Advantage (HCA) uses Paylocity for processing payroll. Paylocity is responsible to deduct funds and make payments to individual employees (wages) as well as state and Federal govt (taxes). In March 5 payroll, Paylocity erroneously applied Employee Retention Credit (ERC) to HCA payroll. The result was a calculation that showed Federal taxes were not owed. Paylocity did not deduct funds or make payment due to this error. We noticed the error, made them aware of the mistake on Tues 3/9 via email. After multiple calls and emails, they finally acknowledged the error and corrected it end of March. On 3/30, Paylocity deducted 48,347.73 from HCA account for Federal taxes related to 3/5 payroll. HCA received a letter from the IRS assessing a fee of 4,834.77 citing the following:Taxes in the amount of 48,347.73 were due on 3/10; payment was made on 4/7. HCA was forced to pay the fine. The error was made by Paylocity, HCA did not authorize ERC. Paylocity refuses to reimburse us

Basic issue is they didn't set up our account correctly in several areas, have not resolved the issues after months of trying, 2 of the 3 implementation specialists don't return phone calls or email, 7 to 10 day pauses between responses not unusual for the 3rd person, resulting in (1) taxes not being filed by Paylocity; (2) our employees refusing to work because they are still not in the system after 3 weeks of trying; (3) and attempts to escalate the issues through management seem to be useless. Senior management is hidden behind an iron curtain. My business is in serious jeopardy, Front line workers are nice and polite, sound concerned, but make it clear that any attempt to get anyone's attention is done by internal email. Their emails seem to go unanswered the same as mine. I just don't know where to turn and my payroll week ended 3 days ago. Money is due to employees Thursday at midnight. I guess I'll give cash advances until this gets fixed. No time to start over with a different service.

Paylocity has serious staffing issues
Paylocity has serious staffing issues. Majority of the time I called their customer support, I cannot reach a live person after being on hold more than 1 hour. Email support is available, but we need to speak with a person to be efficient. 2/24/22 - On hold for 5 hours and 7 minutes. Unable to reach a live person.2/28/22 - On hold for 1 hour. Unable to reach a live person.3/1/22 - On hold for 2 hours. Unable to reach a live person.3/10/22 - On hold for 1 hour 31 minutes. Unable to reach a live person.Paylocity phone system sometimes provide an option to leave a message. I received no call back when I left a voicemail. I have informed this matter to their Service and Sales teams last year. I was told that they are aware of labor shortage and are working to improve. However, we do not see any progress and are simply very frustrated for not being able to receive customer service as promised. We operate call centers, and we are penalized if we do not meet service level. What we really need is live customer support, not money back. However, since staffing issue does not seem to improve, we may need to settle with a refund. Their promise is just not enough at this point.

Ex-Employer erroneously advised me that Paylocity would be my Cobra administrator (when it should have been Blue Shield)
Ex-Employer erroneously advised me that Paylocity would be my Cobra administrator (when it should have been Blue Shield). I paid my fees ASAP (As I need insurance) - but after 5 days of not being able to get my prescriptions filled, I was told I needed to pay Blue Shield in order to be covered. Subsequently, I called Paylocity for a refund of $962.25. I was told that they only process refunds in batches, the next one was at the end of the Month (May), and that I would get my refund first weeks of June. 2 weeks into June and no check, I call and they tell me now that they will process mid-June, and I will get a refund sometime at the end of June or July. This is unacceptable as I have not received any service, they have not paid me in time, and they refuse to provide a supervisor to talk to. I had to pay two different health agencies. As you can see, this company is not trustworthy to issue the refunds as promised and their excuse was that someone gave me incorrect information. I am also submitting a dispute with the *** of *** and *** Services as this is unacceptable. Almost 60 days for no services rendered before I get a refund is not helping consumers (notably sick ones)

In March 2022, we switched our payroll service to Paylocity and have had numerous problems since then
In March 2022, we switched our payroll service to Paylocity and have had numerous problems since then. Onboarding was a nightmare as much of the information transferred from our previous service was entered incorrectly. Our 401k, for example, was not set-up properly which led to errors with deductions for quite some time. The contributions were finally corrected (after months of complaints and the involvement of several incompetent people) and to date, the amounts have not been reconciled with individual employees. At the beginning of August, I received a notice from the *** that the 941 form for Q2 (the first that Paylocity was handling) was filed late. A slap on the wrist or a penalty may follow. Days later, I received a notice that the *** SUI tax has not been paid for Q2. After a handful of emails, I have been told that this resolution will take up to 40 days. Paylocity has had our money for these taxes from every payroll. There is no excuse for a payroll company to file things late on their client's behalf. *** is just awful. I have never received a timey response when sharing concerns. I have many emails that clearly display this company's awful service. It is Paylocity's responsibility to clear up and mend all errors they have clearly made thus far. A competent contact person would be helpful to know.

In March , we ended our services with Paylocity and moved to a PEO
In March , we ended our services with Paylocity and moved to a PEO. At that time there was some miscommunication regarding our end of year tax forms. On February 3, I contacted Paylocity to check on the status of our w-2 tax forms for the time we were with them. Paylocity explained the salary information would be combined with that from our new payroll company since they could not issue 2 separate w-2s for the same Tax Id. I explained the new payroll company was a PEO and that they issued the w-2 from our time with them under their own tax ID; therefore we needed to have Paylocity issue the tax forms from for the period of January -March . The customer service person I spoke with stated she would get this done and they needed to have an updated bank draft for payment. I submitted the updated bank draft information on 2/4. I was then told the process would take 11 days. Since 2/4, I have called and emailed multiple times and each time I am told I need to speak with my account representative Kayleigh. I have asked for a returned call and I have not received one. I have asked to speak with a supervisor and I am always placed on hold then told a supervisor will call me back when they are available and so far, I have not received a call from them. We are still waiting for the w-2 documents to be printed and I am not able to get a straight answer as to when i can expect them or where we are at in the process.

I was on Cobra through Paylocity beginning around August 1
I was on Cobra through Paylocity beginning around August 1. On July 11, 2022 I requested termination effective August 1, 2022 and received confirmation of this from Paylocity. On July 12 after receiving confirmation, I disconnected my checking account from Paylocity Cobra account to prevent inadvertent billing for month of August.Payment of $682.34 was debited by Paylocity from my bank for the July payment on July 5, 2022. August 15 I received notification that cobra was terminated effective June 30, rather than Aug. 1 (technically July 31) as previously requested and confirmed. August 15 I spoke with *** at Paylocity. Was told that it was because they could not debit my account for $82.25 additional (for a rate increase) on July 31st. *** confirmed that I am now due a refund of the $609 (or I could pay an additional $82.25 to have coverage end on July 31 as initially confirmed. The problem is that *** states that she is unable to process the $609 refund that I am due. We spent an extended amount of time on hold as she attempted to reach someone at Paylocity who could assist with a refund but could not reach anyone. This is frustrating and feels dishonest since I have confirmation from bank of payment (that Paylocity acknowledges receipt of) for a service that was paid for and not received. I should not have to spend hours of time trying to have my unused funds returned. Can you help?

Dear Sir, My name is [Redacted], former employee at [Redacted Company] until July 22, 2022
Dear Sir, My name is [Redacted], and I was employed at [Redacted Company] from December to July 22, 2022. Since December , I've attempted to resolve an issue with my Health Savings Account (HSA) by reaching out to the Regional Manager, HR manager, and Supervisor at Argent Court. They directed me to Paylocity, who then referred me to their team. The bank representative sent me back to HR, who claimed no involvement with my HSA contributions. There seems to be confusion about who is responsible for submitting my HSA contributions to my bank account. In 2021, Paylocity deducted funds from my pay for my HSA but failed to deposit them. This year, they deducted $280.00 but only began making $20.00 deposits in May 2022. My benefits representative also contacted Paylocity without resolution. I've had to use personal savings to cover medical expenses. Since May 2022, I've only been able to withdraw $20.00 at a time from the HSA. The whereabouts of my deducted contributions and why they haven't been deposited into my HSA remain unresolved. Please assist.
