Pearson VUE would not let me take a test, Pearson VUE marked me as "did not attend"
PMI and Pearson VUE claim that I did not attend my test.
I was trying to take the test and the proctor was not pleased with my setup.
On Friday 19 August I had everything ready to take the CAPM exam via Computer Based Testing (CBT). The proctor person wanted to validate my testing area which I had cleared of all food, drink PMI manuals phone and so on.
Not to the proctor's liking was furniture attached to my desk that has my meds, business cards, and 20 other items that I use during my normal business days. Everything is not within arm's reach.
The agent gave me a case number to use when I call customer service. When I called customer service he said there is nothing he can do for me. That I need to wait for an email from PMI. I ask "Why would the proctor ask me to call you, when your hands are tied?"
I was expecting an opportunity to retest and doing at a different location. No, I found out Saturday morning that "If" I want to test, I need to pay again.

Checked in 30 minutes before, went through the exam check in process, spoke with Exam Procter who launched the exam, exam crashed, went through a further 5 times each time the exam would try to load and then crash. after the third attempt the proctor interface disappeared and never reappeared. I kept trying until 2105 hours to no gain.

Pearson VUE cancelled my exam
Pearson VUE cancelled my exam, after I spent more than an hour to checkin using 2 different laptops, talked to 2 different proctors and 1 customer service. I followed exactly what the proctors asked me to do, but didn't expect that my access code expired for the 3rd checkin. I couldn't open the OnVUE application and cannot contact the proctor. I found the customer service phone number online and called them. They asked for all my information and let me wait for 15minutes, and told me that they cannot connect me to the proctor and I'll have to reschedule the exam for another day.
Standart scam
I do strongly believe that Pearson use program to valuate your down score. They want you to take test few times. Because you pay for it .One section, I go 100% another time, same section 0. Nobody control them and nobody keeps record how many times did you take a test. I'm not smart, but if a statistic will say that only 5% pass for the first time, something is wrong. But nobody does statistics, I do believe only a few people did pass exam on for the first time. States control only if you pass, not if you fail.. Conflict of interest and scan for billions of dollars. Same story with the set of question they give you, more question from this section, where did you answer wrong not correct. In my cases, if I do not answer correctly from income approach, next few questions will be from income approaches. I can put answer A and computer can change to B. Nobody control this . Nobody control of this. . Special that servers I do believe are in England. You can not do anything, just pay for the next test and be mercy from a computer how he will rate you.
Online exam
This is the worst online exam company I ever had to use… I have tried to take my exam with this company three times… the first time in the middle of my exam the exams just shuts off… the second time they never started my exam… and today they claim that the could not see me on their end and that I was having connections problems but on my end I’m on the screen and it’s being recorded and it passed the prequalifies to get me to the exam… wasted a whole hour and an half… then to be told to logged into another laptop and I would receive a new access code in two minutes and never did… this is just a horrible company

Logged into the website to take the RICA exam, everything went well, my camera, sound, etc. was working, I could see myself in the window while waiting for the proctor, I get a chat box at 502 my test time was 5pm. The proctor said that he/she couldn't see me, then they said that my interest was slow and kept putting me back in the cue. I waited and waited for almost 1 hour. I am so upset that they tried to blame me when the real issue is lack of staffing. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WORKERS TO HANDLE ALL THE INCOMING TEST TAKERS. Bottom line is we ( us consumers) are wasting our money on this test site while our money is being taken and not REFUNDED. I'm sure they will make it very difficult for me to get my money back. I was hoping this was going to go well, but now everything I have heard about Pearson from my fellow classmates, has come to fruition. I'm extremely disappointed and feel very cheated. I hope this does lead to a class action.

Onvue services for the nce
I took the onvue exam multiple times. Each time all my equipment passed the tests with flying colors. The system is a total joke and complete waste of money! It is a lot of work to go through for them to constantly tell you they cannot see you and then the chat box freezes and you get your test revoked if you have your cell phone near yet they try to call you! It makes no sense and the system is a complete and total scam! You cannot understand the proctors at all and the online app is garbage. Save your money and go to a testing center! Each time I took this test I failed it because the proctor comes on and tells me they cannot see me and I need to reboot. This happens multiple times during each exam and it is blamed on your system yet the reason why your given the green light is because your system passed all the tests! One time I put my hand on my chin because this is how I concentrate and I was told I was not allowed to do that and my test would be revoked if I kept doing it. It is totally and completely ridiculous! If I am interrupted several times during an exam that determines my career and is super difficult, I am probably going to fail it! Once concentration gets broken it is a fail. This needs to change or they should stop offering the exam this way because I can guarantee you more people fail using this system than going to the testing center. Yet it is promoted like it is an easier solution because you are taking it from home. That is false and no one really should be taking it this way until they fix the kinks in this awful app!
Desired outcome: I do not think they should be charging anyone to take this test online and the proctors need to be trained better and be easier to understand.
Pearson Professional Center Albany NY
I arrived to the testing center at 1365 Washington Ave #107 Albany, NY on June 21st 2 hours prior to my test start time at 3:30 pm. I reviewed in my car for the exam until just before my appointment time. When I got to the door for the testing center, there was a note on the door informing me that they had moved to another location! I ran to my car, sped across Albany, and made it just in time. I was stressed and completely unable to concentrate throughout my exam. My anxiety was through the roof and I could hardly regulate my breathing. There was no attempt to contact me by this testing center to let me know they moved even though I had been scheduled since February. I failed the most important exam of my life, and now I will have to pay $140 to take it again, another day off work, and a trip from Pittsfield to Albany. It was very unfair to me as the address isn't even updated on Google yet. There are many people like me that have to have a controlled environment and inner calm before an exam to be successful, and I was robbed of that because of their inability to communicate with customers.
Desired outcome: I would like to be reimbursed for the amount it will cost me to sit for a retake. I would also like someone to update the address on the company's Google profile.

I was testing at this site location and during my exam time test, there were people talking inside the testing room and outside in the hallways. The conversations were loud and distracted me while taking the RICA WRITTEN SUBTEST 2 exam. I was frustrated and felt like the testing environment was unprofessional. I was so focused on just reading the questions and answering as good as I can, but because of the distraction, I felt unable to. I haven't been in this type of distracting and unprofessional testing environment, so I didn't know what to do, and I just tried my best to complete my exam.
Desired outcome: None since I just filed the complaint today.
Item writing for medical students' tests
I'm an experienced healthcare professional, a medical writer and a translator for 14 years. Pearson uses technical writers to work as item writers for their medical test questions. Before they hire the writers, they send a template with sample questions and their levels of difficulty and ask the candidate to create 3 questions with their respective answers (3 distractors) and 1 key answer (correct one). I've applied twice already, by creating the questions for the medical tests and never got a clear feedback. I was just told that I was not selected. I'm totally sure that I wrote high quality questions that are suitable for medical tests. Now, it's easy to think that if Pearson does this with a lot of serious, experienced candidates who want to work with them for the first time, but don't hire them, then it means they get work for free and get rich easily at people's expense. Not to mention the medical students who take these tests and complain about inconsistencies in the results and the often dubious failure rate. Pearson PTE
I have done Pearson PTE as a deaf person. There were no reasonable adjustments made to my test even when I asked. They couldn't allow me to bring any of my hearing equipment and also no water was allowed to be next to me during the exam. They didn't provide me with subtitles and they completely disregard a deaf population. The test is only suitable for hearing people. Your support for the deaf charity is misleading as you don't support deaf people in any way in real life. There was only one dirty toilet to be used during the exam for about 15 people. Horrible experience with absolutely indifference staff who couldn't care less.
Desired outcome: Test with reasonable adjustments free of charge.
CAPTPA pilot
I had to do CALTPA's to get my teaching credential. I worked hard on them. It was time for me submit the system kept saying error. I will reload my video portion of the CALTPA but it deletes my annotations, finally I got the system said submit, but it will not allow me to submit, I continue to click submit but it never submitted, and will I checked my videos the annotations were gone again. I tried to contact PEARSON for over an hour about the situation I could not get through. Once I finally got through the customer service rep could not assist me. I waited to the next business day to contact them and told me that I could not submit my work because of the deadline. Then they said I did not have my annotations so they could not take it, I told them that the system was deleting my annotations. Needless to say I have to redo my CALTPA's and now pay $150 to do it. Did I mention the I was under a pilot program, so it was free for me to take them, also at the time I was a student teacher, because I did not pass the CALTPA I can no longer teach I have to wait until the special ed CALTPA is offered again. This company had cost me career.

Fele exam
I took the fele exam january 3rd. When I got my results for the second half of the third test I had scored the lowest possible score after contacting pearson vue through the better business bureau they told me that I ran out of time. When I took the exam I had about 10 minutes remaining on the clock when I submitted my exam so there's no way I ran out of time even though I did use the restroom I asked for them to rescore my exam and they said they wouldn't because I had rescheduled the exam. The exam I had rescheduled was the second subtest of the fele exam which I had to cancel to reschedule because I was in labor that day. My initial complaint was that when I was finished with the written exam the computer would not allow me to scroll up and down correctly and I could not see the very top two paragraphs of what I had written even though there was still amount of time left on the clock. I think it's ridiculous that i'm being written off as not being truthful and I prepared for a long time to take that exam and I know I did very well on that exam and I know that there was something wrong with that computer and pearson vue refuses to help me with this situation. If there was a number of company that I could take this test through another company I would advise every single person that could take the fele exam to do it through another company. And how am I to prove that there was something wrong with that computer when I can't take a camera or anything in with me into the testing site so it's my word against everybody about what time was left on that computer this is all bogus.

While in college- Fall of 2021 - I purchased a 4 month subscription to Pearson Plus. After I had finished the subscription I thought nothing of it and moved on with my life. I am not currently in school anymore and no longer utilize my school email. Last month I realized that Pearson has continued to charge me for the subscription. When you sign up for Pearson + all accounts are set to 'auto renew' unbeknownst to the subscriber. As soon as I found out about this I called Pearson, after talking to multiple service agents they assured me there is little that they can do but refund me for my past month and cancel my subscription. Service agent Sho Soliman ensured me I can find peace in knowing that the "issue" of automatically sighing college kids up for auto renew and taking their money has been resolved. What I do not understand is if this is an "issue" why am I paying for it? I am paying money every month - something I was unaware of and quite honestly not expecting at all - for a flaw on the company's part? A company that brings in almost a billion dollars a year and I am forced to struggle because I was unaware of this flaw in the system. It is only just since their own service agent assured me that this was in fact an issue within the platform and it has been remedy for future subscribers. I am a victim of this flaw and should be compensated as so.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund of all months past my initial subscription.

The exam I took seemed tampered with. I waited for at least 30 minutes or more to test. I checked in on time and everything. Then they claimed it was camera issues, then networking issues. After waiting for more than 30 minutes I was able to take the test. The proctor was rude.He told me move a battery away from desk as if a battery would talk to me.He appeared based on the chat, I literally cried because I was answering the questions correctly and following testing instructions, I was threaten my exam we be revoked.
I tested my camera and network and all passed the initial test false! Finally I was half through and my exam automatically closed out for more than 10 minutes. I literally lost access to my exam for 10 minutes. All the questions I knew were correct based on study material that was accurate and true! So for over 10 minutes I lost access to my exam. I lost time and something did not seem right. I saw my screen glitch and mouse move when I did not move my mouse. It's no way I scored a 492 meaning I did not get barely anything correct. I tried to copy and paste my test code but it wouldn't let me. I would like to have this investigated. Ms. Busby I swear something is not right. What steps should I take to have this investigated. I read bad reports of this sort of thing happening and I am very sure I am a victim as well. This is a required course for my degree program and I want an investigation conducted, because I know I passed and once the results came in they were as if I missed of 75% of the exam. I received a voucher from my school.

No exam results after 3 weeks
I am issues with not getting my score back from pearsons Vue. I took my casp+ exam January 8th and it said completed. But I never got my scores. When I go to the site to look at my exam it still states -In progress. I've called them every day it's always it will take 3 to 5 business days.
It's now going on 3 weeks and still no exam. This exam was a work requirement. That now I can't meet so my job let me go. I've contacted Pearson Vue many times. They said it was an issue in their end and to wait 3 to 5 business days and I will get a call. No call. I initially was scheduled to take the test December 30 but had technical issues with their software. I've called them everyday! Their customer service is the worst. They gave me a free voucher for my troubles. That I can't use because my test still shows I progress 3 weeks later. This particular cert is required for my job. Needless to say I didn't meet work requirements and was let go. I was fired because I could not get my test results and all Pearson Vue could say is we can get you a free voucher. I WANT My scores! I even opted to re take it but they said the can't close out the test. That's comptias job. This is a horrible company!

Enquiry to previous call was lengthy, and in the end was a transfer to this line. Could have just written this number. Two other Sg office numbers did not even connect.
This customer service rep was so rude and haughty to begin with. And she would repeat herself and go off-tangent. After I told her directly I'm not interested in unrelated info and re-asked the question, she dared to scold me for 'interrupting' her. Dude, I'm not here to chit-chat with you or listen to your sermon. I'm here to have my specific questions answered. The rep just hung up halfway and took the phone off the connection so that when I called 4x after, it had an unconnected tone, not even the standard recorded answering machine.
Her only 'resolution' was oh, we can't do anything about it. Contact the original board making the exam... who guessed what, pushed it to them.

AZ 303 exam
I've registered for the AZ303 exam on the date of 26 Nov, the application was hanged and the proctor only can give out simple instructions such as close the app and restart, after doing it 3 times, the proctor still ask me to do the same procedure and has failed to provide a viable solution. After 30 minutes of trial and error, the application has straight away directed me into post-exam survey. I've filed an complaint on their website, via Microsoft and yet to receive any feedback from them. My company has been charged for this fraudulent behaviour, no exam was taken and the error was due to their own incompetency in their application development.

Terrible experience. As I am checking in, I am finishing breakfast. Yes, I know I shouldn't be eating during the exam process. But the "proctor" could have told me so in a decent manner. Instead, he tells me: "SPIT OUT WHAT YOU ARE EATING".
It took my brain a few seconds to process that this is not a joke and that he is telling me to spit out food from my mouth.
I told him this is ridiculous, he apologized. I get it, you hire cheap labor. But come on, at least filter these people. This guy stepped into a time-travel machine from the 18th century and ended up supervising my exam.
But there is more.
As I am working on the exam I am interrupted by another proctor who tells me she has to restart the program because of connectivity issues, which I was not experiencing. Anyway, she restarts it. A few minutes in, the system crashes. I restart my computer and get back to the exam.
As I am finishing the exam, the system crashed AGAIN. This time I can't sign in again and lose my exam.
I did not pay for the exam (used a voucher) but I would ask for a full refund only because of SPIT IT OUT.
Absolute joke for a "serious" company to offer such dismal service.
