I am a diabetic and have been drinking diet Mountain Dew since 1990 when I was diagnosed with Diabetes, before that from the 1970's I drank only regular Mountain Dew. I do not do coffee, tea, milk or juice I only drink "Dew". Ever since the new formula for the Zero Sugar came out I am unable to drink either Diet Dew or Zero Sugar Dew as are some of my other diabetic friends. We have narrowed it down to the new ingredient "Acesulfame Pottasium" in it. For Diabetics it is upsetting our digestive system and causing massive amounts of Diarrhea.

We want to know why the Diet Dew formula changed when introducing the Zero Sugar? Can't you make both? Can't you use the old formula for the Diet for those of us the new formula affects and make the Zero sugar for those who want it. The regular Dew has too much sugar for us Diabetics and that leaves us with nothing to drink. It is not only Dew, but Pepsi, and all other companies drinks also. Maybe some Diabetics are not affected but those I have talked to are.

We just want to be able to drink our favorite drinks without getting sickly.

Here's what you need to do: Contact Pepsi directly and demand an explanation for the change in the Diet Mountain Dew formula. Make it clear that the new ingredient, Acesulfame Potassium, is causing serious health issues for diabetics like yourself. Insist that they bring back the old formula for Diet Dew or at least offer an alternative for those who can't tolerate the new formula.

Gather support from other affected diabetics and make your voices heard. Use social media, email campaigns, and any other means to pressure Pepsi into addressing this issue. Let them know that their loyal customers deserve to have a safe and enjoyable product. Be persistent and don't back down until they take action.
