Plaid, Inc
Plaid, Inc. is either totally garbage at their jobs or a complete scam.
Chime also uses Plaid as a third party service
Chime also uses Plaid as a third party service. My Bank of America account is linked to my Chime account, but right now it's having problems connecting with Bank of America. What are you supposed to do in these cases?
Worst and untrustworthy software ever
Worst and untrustworthy software ever. Linked my banking and turns out incorrect account number. Money lost. No way to change or find it back. What are the people doing in the company? They never fix the critical bug?
Plaid, Inc. is the absolute worst and most untrustworthy software I've ever encountered. I linked my banking information, only to discover that it had an incorrect account number. As a result, I lost money and there seems to be no way to rectify the situation or retrieve my funds. I can't help but wonder what the folks at Plaid are actually doing. Are they not addressing this critical bug? It's truly baffling.
Plaid, Inc
Plaid, Inc. is a company that tricks consumers into believing that their bank is now utilizing PLAID, without giving them the option to decline. This sneaky and dishonest business practice is quite frustrating. Once you agree to their services, it becomes a nightmare to discontinue and escape from their subpar service.
They're totally ridiculous
They're totally ridiculous. For 2 years now, they've been sayin' that they're workin' with my bank to reconnect to the apps I was usin'. And if ya try to get a hold of somebody or go to the help center, it just gives ya instructions ya can't even talk to a real person.
I don't think it's safe to do business with a company that asks for your personal financial info like usernames and passwords
I don't think it's safe to do business with a company that asks for your personal financial info like usernames and passwords. I booked 3 tickets with Uplift and now they want me to give Plaid my personal financial info, including my username and password. That's not gonna happen. They don't seem to want to use the card I have on file, even though that's how I signed up and it'll be available for payment when it's due. Be careful with Plaid, their practices seem questionable.
Plaid is a bad service
Plaid is a bad service. They always have problems linking to accounts. Truebill and Voyager use their services for safe banking transactions. It actually stops you from making transactions to your services because their secure account linking doesn't work. Truebill makes me constantly *** my accounts and Voyager won't even let me delink my bank account because Plaid has an internal problem. This has been happening for many years on Truebill and now it's happening when I want to put money in to invest? That's just completely ridiculous and bad service.
I had lots of problems with Plaid connecting to my credit union
I had lots of problems with Plaid connecting to my credit union. I've been using this app for a long time, but when the app updated, Plaid didn't like my bank details. It keeps telling me that my info is wrong, even though I logged into my credit union's website using the same info. The app company says they're "working with Plaid" to fix it, but it's been taking forever. This means that people using these apps have a useless app, and it could affect their money situation. Why is Plaid so hard to work with when it comes to coding?
I can't believe Plaid has been around for so long and still hasn't struck an agreement with Cash App
I can't believe Plaid has been around for so long and still hasn't struck an agreement with Cash App. I handle all my affairs through them and I've never had a problem with fraud. They always take care of me if I have an issue. Their support is so easy to reach and they waste no time reaching out to you. They are by far the best mobile banking app out there. So Plaid, tell your people to get off their butts and start working with Bank, Square, and Vanilla. It's 2023 and you're still causing me problems because I can't give my financial credentials to businesses that want to see them.
I don't get why this business wants your bank login info to transfer money
I don't get why this business wants your bank login info to transfer money. It's a big no-no online 'cause hackers can get in. The Feds always say never give your login details to anyone, especially for money stuff. So why do they need it to see all your bank stuff? I got two cash cards 'cause people owe me money, but I won't give PLAID my *** info. So I can't move the money to my bank. I don't think a star rating matters 'cause I'm not their customer, like I said.

I had an app called Upside and I had $100.57 that I wanted to transfer to my bank account
I had an app called Upside and I had $100.57 that I wanted to transfer to my bank account. I followed the instructions on Upside and it led me to the Plaid app. I followed all the steps and agreed to the terms. However, when I transferred the funds to my bank account, the money disappeared and it never reached my bank account. I couldn't find any way to contact the company, and I think this might be a fraudulent activity. They took my money and now they have all my personal information. I have already reported this issue to *** of American, Upside, and I demand my money back.
I ordered something from Plaid, Inc
I ordered something from Plaid, Inc. on December 9 as a Christmas gift. I got an email on December 13 saying it was shipped. On December 24, I noticed that my tracking wasn't working. I emailed them again on January 7 because I still hadn't received my order. Finally, on January 9, I got it. I asked for a refund, but they said they sent an email on December 17 about shipping delays. I never got that email, and when I asked for proof, they sent me someone else's email as an example. They won't give me a refund even though they can't prove they sent me the email about the shipping delays.
This company, Plaid, is a complete mess
This company, Plaid, is a complete mess. They claim to be a "3rd Party" for sending and receiving funds, but they're really just running a monopoly. I've tried reaching out to them through email, social media, and so on, but they never respond. My financial institution says it's a problem with Plaid, not them. They brag about being easy to use, but they can't even handle the most basic things they're supposed to do. This *** company should be shut down. Their customer service is terrible, and they can't even do the one thing they're supposed to do. Stay away from Plaid! I've tried multiple times, but I still can't connect to my "financial" institution.

On Nov 30, 2022, I sent them an email because I was a victim of identity fraud
On Nov 30, 2022, I sent them an email because I was a victim of identity fraud. My cell phone got stolen, and all my personal data was on it. The fraudster created an account on Plaid and linked it to my bank account. Luckily, I managed to stop the transactions from being paid. I simply asked Plaid if they could remove all the information associated with me. They replied that they cannot do it. Moreover, they stated that they would not be responsible for any lost money and unable to delete any information, whether it was created fraudulently or not. This is unacceptable! A business should provide protection and assistance to fraud victims like myself. I really need help from ComplaintsBoard.com because I can't spend every day on the phone with my bank, blocking payments from Plaid that I never used or created.
I signed up for Plaid service and quickly changed my mind (on the same day) and deleted the account
I signed up for Plaid service and quickly changed my mind (on the same day) and deleted the account. The service is free through *** Excel. Plaid says they keep storing my financial accounts and info even after deleting the account, and the only way to delete the info is by emailing them private and sensitive data. They're demanding that I email them a list of all my financial institution accounts and the associated usernames to delete the info. They say this is the only way to delete it. When I said no, they suggested creating an account online with them and deleting the info myself. So, I tried that, but it doesn't work. I have to add each account individually first and then manually delete each financial institution! It's crazy. I want my info deleted ASAP!
On almost all kids' debit cards, financial companies use Plaid to connect the parents' checking account to the child's debit card
On almost all kids' debit cards, financial companies use Plaid to connect the parents' checking account to the child's debit card. I've spent so many hours trying to open a kid's debit card with various financial companies and banks that offer this service. It's been a complete waste of time going through all the paperwork, only to have Plaid fail to load successfully. It's frustrating, really. All those hours wasted, and now my financially sensitive information is at risk of being compromised. Even *** Fargo couldn't get past Plaid. And guess what? I had the exact same problem with this company a year ago too! Plaid is just so bad at what they do. Their incompetence forces you to expose your financial information all over the internet, putting you in danger. So, if you come across Plaid at the end of your debit card process, I strongly advise you to halt the process to protect yourself.
I lost so much money because of this company, it's unbelievable
I lost so much money because of this company, it's unbelievable. They won't accept my bank, and many websites and apps only offer their services. That's why there are so many lawsuits against them. I always send screenshots of the filed lawsuits to businesses, but they seem to value money over their customers. They don't even inform companies that they refuse to accept banks that serve the poor and minorities. They are biased and unhelpful. If you ask for assistance, they just shrug and say good luck next time. They only care about people who make a lot of money. I'm on a mission to inform every app that uses them about the numerous lawsuits they face. They recently lost a lawsuit worth 58 million dollars for violating customer privacy and leaking information.
I tried to contact Plaid but their website doesn't have a section to log a complaint
I tried to contact Plaid but their website doesn't have a section to log a complaint. The only thing I found was that you need to click a question mark in the app. I couldn't find the app in the Android store or a place to download an installable APK. My actual problem is that I used Plaid through my Citibank app. I checked the box for checking, but they tried to withdraw from my savings. There wasn't money in that account, so my credit union charged me $30 for each of those, totaling $90. I also got a charge from them, apparently a return fee, which went on my Citi bill. This was $50. *** also charged me a check fee of $30. So altogether, I'm out $170 and I can't even call these people. I contacted both my credit union DFCU and *** and they both blamed each other. I thought that's what the Plaid service was for, but all it does is cost me more money. I still can't and won't use the app because I'm afraid of being charged again, and now I have to call every month just to pay my bill.
I can go into great detail in 15 paragraphs but I will explain more once Plaid responds
I can go into great detail in 15 paragraphs but I will explain more once Plaid responds. Plaid has a serious technical data communication problem when dealing with the investment platform VARO Bank. About 8 times, my entire session of investing in stocks, ETFs, and retirement purchases has been cancelled. All of my transactions have been cancelled 8 separate times over a couple of months. The issue is a technical glitch within the Plaid platform where STASH is not receiving updated information regarding my balance (having enough funds) in my Account - when I actually have sufficient funds. Many times, I have had to contact STASH - INCLUDING AROUND 15 EMAILS. I've had to have 2 or 3 one-hour long chats with my bank, Varo. Not to mention redoing all of the steps, going back through all of the financial purchases, and having to do it all over again 8 times! This means that since all of my transactions are cancelled, I have to try again the next day. I have done this multiple times. Stash blames VARO bank and VARO bank blames Stash. I've concluded that the real problem lies with the intermediary: Plaid. It's a shame that in this day and age, the only way to get a situation resolved is to file a complaint. Why do I, as the consumer, have to be responsible for figuring out the technical and logistical issues of a company? Why is it that when I reach out to customer service, I get the runaround or they delay resolving the issue? To any other consumer reading this, I know you understand where I'm coming from. I have proof of multiple emails to Stash, Varo, and Plaid. What do I get for my countless hours of frustration, stress, and effort? I am asking for a reasonable solution as well as an investigation and resolution of the technical issues. Unlinking/relinking does not work. 60% of the time, my transactions are cancelled. I have missed out on and lost so many stock transactions.
Every online account I have, be it Brigit, Digit, etc., is linked to Plaid
Every online account I have, including Brigit and Digit, is linked to Plaid. After changing my bank password, chaos ensued as all my accounts were disconnected from Plaid. I followed each company's instructions to disconnect, yet I still can't reconnect to Plaid. Plaid has turned my life chaotic; I'm unable to access any of my institutions, where I have substantial funds.

On 30 December $2044.76 was deposited into my personal checking account
On 30 December $2044.76 was deposited into my personal checking account. This deposit is my recurring monthly U.S. military disability payment. On 31 December Plaid in conjunction with CASHAPP, removed $2045 from my account without authorization or reason. I have attempted to contact both without any resolution or little effort to resolve. I have also filed a complaint with my bank, *** Fargo.I am seeking immediate reimbursement of my $2045 to my account and once it is deposited that Plaid no longer access my account in any way.

I have tried for weeks to figure out a way to contact plaid but apparently they dont have any viable means for consumers to receive help
I have tried for weeks to figure out a way to contact plaid but apparently they dont have any viable means for consumers to receive help. I have only located a sales team inquiry set up on their website.I have had an error with Plaid connecting and updating the information from my financial institution. When I attempt to use the third party app MoneyLion and connect my information with Plaid I get two errors: one is that my username is incorrect (I dont enter that wrong-trust me) and on rare occasions it does connect and then says an error occurred. Plaid has been notified. I have called customer for my financial institution as well as money Lion and I get a consensus for both - Plaid isnt actively updating the information from the financial institution. I need assistance because many of my other apps use Plaid and Im sick of dealing with this.

I invested money into cryptocurrency using an app called crypto.com
I invested money into cryptocurrency using an app called crypto.com. Crypto.com uses a third party called Plaid to handle *** transactions with banks. I first tried to withdrawal *** from the app on October 1. Plaid said it could not connect with my bank, even though my credentials were correct. I first opened a ticket with Plaid customer service on October 8 and since then I have opened three more tickets with customer service but the problem still has not been resolved. Plaid gives me no timetable of when the problem will be resolved. Basically I cannot withdraw MY money from this app without using Plaid. I asked crypto.com customer service twice if there is anyway to bypass Plaid so I can have access to MY money and they said it's not their problem but Plaid's. Really it's my problem since I thought I would be able to access MY money whenever I needed it. It's been 22 days and I still can't withdraw my money. I'm attaching a screenshot shared to me on *** by another crypto.com user with the same problem.
