Do not buy anything from here ! I have made the mistake of doing so with along of many others there is no return address to get a refund or an exchange and most likel;y your going to need one. According to others the items you get from this company either do not play at all or the are bad recording from the television. Do not waste your time or money! If anyone has more information on this matter please let me know i feel like i need to take legal action. [protected]@hotmail.com

I agree with all of you folks. They are a scam! I ordered Third Watch DVD Series and they are bootlegged copies from TV and poor quality. This is a copyright infringement since they are not copyrighted version. I will definitely make a complaint thru Better Business Bureau and encourage everyone to do the same. We made the mistake of ordering the DVD's & did not find this website until now!

On March 10, 2009 I place an order with Planet DVD Store. Their website stated that the DVD sets were in stock and ready to ship. As of yesterday March 19, 2009 their website shows my order as processed. I contacted them by e-mail and informed them that if the merchandise was not in stock to cancel my order and make preparation for refund, and if I did not hear any response by 4:00PM EST I would contact my charge card company to reverse the charges. As of 12:24 PM EST, March 20, 2009 they have not responded.
I have contacted my credit card company to have them reverse the charges. I also informed Planet DVD Store that I have seen the complaints launched by individuals who have received shoddy merchandise, and that the way my order has been handled, I am inclined to believe the individuals who have filed them.
Maybe someone hsould copy and e-mail all this complaints to them and ask them, "How long do they think they can do this'?

I can't believe I didn't see this site before purchasing from these shower of ###. I bought CHiPs the complete series and could'nt believe my eyes when I saw the VHS boxes that the discs were in but my shock was complete when I realised that the episodes were bootlegged I (badly) from the Bravo channel. Surely something can be done to stop this sort of scam, this site is advertised on several legit sites and somebody must take responsibility. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE< THEY ARE THE LOWEST OF THE LOWEST!

PlanetDVD Store are an evil bunch or people - ### of the earth! I bought The Complete Series of Ed from them for my wife for her birthday and when I received the product I must say I was annoyed at the fact that they were copies - however the first disc worked fine and even though it was poor quality it was watchable and as this show could not be found anywhere else I was okay with it. Upon trying to watch the second and consecutive discs it was impossible. Not all discs but many were glitchy and fuzzy and some would not play at all. It came on 17 discs and on their website it states that if a replacement is required then you must contact them within 5 days in order to obtain a replacement. If a refund is required then you must contact them within 15 days. It's a bit hard to watch 17 discs worth of 45 minute episodes to confirm that all are satisfactory within 15 - let alone 5 days!

I agree with all comments posted above. The people who run this so-called online store deserve to be punished. They are ###. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!

I get an IP Address of 77.92.78.87, this I believe is their webhosting service based in the UK (London). They must have Planet DVD Store details on file as they'll need to bill somebody, and with a good legal team the webhost (UK2.net) may be forced to give out the company's details.

I just ordered a complete set of Chicago Hope DVD's a few days ago. I live in Canada and after reading all of these comments, I"m kinda concerned considering the fact that The last message I got from them was that my order was processed, but I can't seem to get on the website now and I don't know what is happening with my "order". The charges are already on my credit card and I need to find out what is happening. Any suggestions? I have tried to contact them to cancel my order, but they sent me another email saying that they have processed my order, but no responses to my cancelling or anything else I sent to their "support" What should I do, call the police?

I also wish I had seen this site before ordering the-quote-"Complete Set of Family Matters". The first dvd out of the package skipped and was tiled, and most were out of focus. Some wouldn't play. Some even had commericals in them. They were taped off of UPN, ABC Family, Omni 1 and other cable stations. There was not an original in the bunch. This is copyright infringement. There were double episodes to boot. They were not in order and the finale was no where on any of the dvd's that I could get to play. I contacted Planet Store DVD and also replied to an email I was sent after ordering. Heard NOTHING AT ALL! That email was bodaciously fraudlent. What a total ripoff!

Tried to place an order with this company twice. Both time my credit card was charged twice for a single order. Now the scary part! Each order had a different company named as the merchant. The phone number posted above is not answered and emails take days to get a response. Thankfully my credit card company fraud department caught the charges and declined them.

i'm glad i came across this site. i was looking to buy a boxed set of dvds which i found unavailable or discontinued at every other reputable online store. i came across planet dvd who stated the box set was in stock and ready to ship. i became suspicious and started to search for reviews. the box set they are trying to sell is obviously not original if every other retailer in every country around the world states that the product is no longer available.
my advice to everyone always - do your homework, research the online store through independent reviews, and remember if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is.
thanks everyone. i just saved myself from being ripped off.

I'm waiting for the "shoe to drop". I ordered all episodes of Family Matters from www.planetdvdstore.com for about $70. It's pretty clear to me now this was a waste of money. I also see on my bank statement that my account was charged an additional $2.19 by an outfit named "International Services" on the same day as the $70 charge cleared. This $2.19 is an unauthorized charge and I have disputed with my bank. I guess I should go ahead and begin the dispute process for the DVD's... I'm embarassed that I didn't check closer about this company. Usually, I do a pretty good job at that. Not this time and I learned a lesson! Oh yeah, my account with Planet DVD Store is no longer valid. I get error messages about "Invalid email address" and "Invalid password". What really bums me out is that I was getting this series for my son's birthday and I was excited that I had found it! As the old saying goes, "If it's too good to be true, it probably is".

I wish I had seen this site sooner. I received a suspect package from China with non-copyrighted materials - they were from "China Intercontinental Communication Center" and mislabeled as "Gift Accessory". The DVDs are poor quality, of course, but mainly, they are ILLEGAL. I reported them to the Federal Trade Commission, which is tasked with enforcing illegal imports.
I SUGGEST YOU GO TO THE FTC WEBSITE AND FILE A SIMILAR COMPLAINT, SO THEY CAN PICK UP THE PATTERN. The site is http://www.ftc.gov/index.shtml
There is an online consumer complaint form that is easy to use and file electronically.
Now I'm worried about my credit card number - has anyone had any problems with that?

I am from England and some months ago purchased from Planet DVD store a full box set of 'Little House on the Prairie' for approx $130 and none of them play without problems, loss of sound or picture. I have tried to contact them without success and I only used them because they were a sponsorship link with e-bay. I have been in contact with e-bay but they do not want to know. I wished I had seen your page before I purchased.
I must say that I have made many purchases from the USA over the years and all have been ok, we all have some bad apples.

I agree they ripped me off as well, I been emailing this company for weeks and have not received a response yet. I ordered 3 complete series sets for 170.00 so you know I am pissed off. I wish I would have investigated this company as well but I trusted them since I got the link from amazon.com. I am really disgusted, I filed a report with the better business bureau you all should do the same. They will help us all get refunds if everyone reports it.

I too wish I had found this website before I ordered the dvds. I ordered "Perfect Strangers" and "A Different World" and just got the dvds yesterday. After I ordered it, my friend told me her brother had ordered "Beverly Hills 90210" a couple of years ago and they were just crap. When I opened the dvds it was in this crap plastic box and the dvds were numbered in pen. Like, seriously it was not professional at all. Then we watched a couple of minutes of one episode and it kept skipping and looked as though it was just taped from TV. Total CRAP! I'm so mad I spent this much money on these crap dvds. I should have known it was too good to be true. If it's not the real thing, it is too good to be true. I think it comes from Asia or something because the writing was Asian on the box. They have a lot of crap from those countries and lot of illegal activity. DON'T EVER BUY FROM HERE! It's good that you have this website and I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I was looking to buy "CAROL BURNETT & FRIENDS - The Complete TV Series on DVD" and saw it available on PlanetDVDStore. It appeared to be a US company, but when I got the DVD's they were sent from China. The DVD's are obvious rip off's from TV Land. The TV Land logo is plainly on the screen. The quality is horrid - it's worse than VHS. The DVD's also have errors where there is no sound or image. Some errors appear to be reception issues from a satellite dish.

If you are thinking of buying from them - DON"T! It's the worst online purchase I have ever made.

Ditto...another victim here. It never occurred to me that anyone would be bold enough to sell copyrighted material illegally, and online! I will check my credit card order and challenge it immediately. I ordered the entire Empty Nest series. 70 discs. I think I'll write the producers of the show.

I totally agree with the above comments, but only wish i knew this before i made my purchase. I received a box set of dvd's today and they are all burnt copies. It never said anywhere that the dvd's would be burnt copies. Very bad quality and too me seems very illegal. There should be something that we can do about this. I'll tell you one thing this is the last time i ever buy anything from the internet or from the US for that matter.

I did a little snooping and found out that www.PlanetDVDStore.com (ip address 65.60.10.100) is being hosted by a company in Chicago called SingleHop, Inc. www.singlehop.com.

Their address is 223 West Jackson Street, Suite 1014 Chicago, IL 60606 USA. Their phone number is [protected] (US).

They have an email address for abuse complaints - abuse@singlehop.com.

I chatted with one of their people online and they say any complaints need to be expressed in terms of the DMCA:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Millennium_Copyright_Act

I'm sure if they hear enough complaints something will be done.

Also, dispute the charge with your credit card company and they will refund your money for you - mine did.

I also foll0wed a link from Amazon and horrified to receive crappy fake recordings direct from China slung in an old video box with a poorly photocopied cover. I'm very cautious about online purchasing but because I found them through Amazon I assumed they must be genuine. I've just thrown $400 down the drain. This is the first time I've ever purchased dvd's on line - and the last.

If I could afford to take legal action I would but, like most others I guess, will just have to learn from bitter experience NEVER to order online again. Luckily I paid by credit card so I'm hoping something can be done to recoup some of the expense perhaps.

I wonder if Amazon realise how much potential business this will cost them too as people like me can't afford to take the risk again.

I got scamed by them too. I had to go to my bank and cancel my card and get a new one then I went to my local police dept and had them look into it this. The person or persons that are running this scam are from British Coloumbia and when you call the number that goes through your acc. (which is a different name than where we ordered from and the answer machine also then gives you a different name.) It tells you to leave name, number, invoice number, and the reason for your call and they say they will get back to you don't hold your breath they don't but the police officer also called left his name and number with my invoice number and told them to call him back or actions were going to be taken. We'll a week later the money was put back into my account. So maybe you guys can try that and hopefully get your money back also.

Ordered Cheers and Wings on Apr 13, on Apr 15 got an email saying my card had been declined. Thinking the email pertained to BOTH orders, I went on to the site and reordered both again. Then a few minutes later I got another email saying the Cheers DVDs HAD been processed and would be shipped shortly. For some reason, I then decided to Google the company and started reading all the horror stories. I was upset that now I was going to be getting charged for Wings and TWO Cheers DVDs and it didn't sound like I would be able to contact anyone to cancel. I called my Credit Card co. that minute and they said a charge for 170 (Cheers) had already gone through. (I put the wrong expiry date on the Wings order which is why it was declined). I had them cancel my card immediately and hoped that the latest two orders would also be declined! On the 16th I got a call from a Brenda telling me that my card had been declined on the Wings set I ordered on the 13th. I politely told her to cancel my order as I had heard nothing good about PlanetDVD. Whew. That night I got an email saying that the 2nd Wings I had ordered had been declined. Whew again. Today she called me again saying that the 2nd Cheers order had been declined and I told her to cancel this order too. So I was charged 170 for the first Cheers DVD set which will probably never come, or if it does, will be poor quality. I might fight the charge at that time, but will probably just consider this an expensive lesson. Brenda's # is [protected]. She sounded very sullen. Guess when you make your living ripping people off, you aren't really a happy person. Good luck.
