In August this year I sent Plastk $2000 for a secured credit card. Based on a recommendation from *** The agreement stated 15 business days for a card to be provided. Waited this time and never received a card or any type of communication stating that my card or account was activated. I contacted Plastk through their website chat and they told me their system was down and they had no idea when I would be receiving my card. The following week I tried calling their number for an update but it just tells you that the only communication they use is email and website chat. I then used website chat to ask about my card whereabouts and they again told me they had no idea when I would be getting my card. So I informed Plastk that they were in breach of the agreement and to kindly return my $2000 in full effective immediately to me. Plastk then, over the course of two days, proceeded to spam email me from multiple different people. Each different person asking for me to agree to a $5 fee and a 60 day settling period to receive my money back. I declined and reiterated that I would like to have my $2000 returned to me in full immediately. Plastk has ignored my request to date. Unfortunately I can not afford to be treated like this by a so called reputable company who was recommended to me by ***. Shame on them and shame on Plastk for treating not only me but what seems like hundreds (from what I have read) of potential customers like this.Please, I just want my $2000 back.

In April I opened an account with Plastk, they claim to be reporting to the credit bureaus so they claim they can help boost credit with a secure card. I realized shortly after that they are not reporting to the credit bureaus, and it doesnt help me at all to have this card, so I (attempted) to cancel my card. When I cancelled my card I was hounded for $50 as I took all my money out of this account as it was a secure card, so all the funds were my money to begin with. They would not let me close my account until I sent them a minimum of $50. So I sent exactly $50. When I asked why I needed to provide this $50, I was told In the event your card is cancelled with an available balance that is insufficient to cover interest and or other pending charges and your Plastk Account falls into overdraft status, you will be required to make a payment to keep your account in good standing and ensure that your account is not reported derogatory to the credit bureau. Which lead me to believe this $50 would be used to cover any interest fees within the 60 day cooling period as they call it. So I have been checking the account regular since it was officially closed on June 14, and since then, I have not had any transactions on the account. Until today. When I checked the account and noticed they charged me a $35 overdue fee, for the under $5 that there was for interest on the account, after I closed my account. *** I need my $35 overdue fee back as well. Because their customer service refuses to help in any way.

Applied for a secured card August 8 2022. Sent 300$ security funds through EMT at *** Waited to receive card in the mail. After a week I emailed and was told it should be printed and sent out by the weekend.September 7, 2022. Emailed online chat through website, because they dont answer their phones, and requested card cancellation and the refund of my 300$ security deposit. Was told that Id hagdd *** to wait the 60 day settling period and that theres a 5$ admin fee. I said I understood and confirmed I wouldnt have any charges on the card and that Id get my 295$ back in 60 days. Fast forward to Nov 7. Emailed to check on the status of my refund and was told:It is to inform you that your account closure date will be completed after the 10th of November.It is advised to kindly wait till the 10th of this month and your request will be forwarded to our back-end team to process the refund.Regards,JordanWaited until Nov 11. Sent another email and was told;Hey ***,Thank you for contacting Plastk, your concern has been escalated to the relevant team to process the refunds.We would appreciate your patience in regards to this matter.Regards,*** Client Success TeamHave been emailing back and forth with several client success *** I dont receive any answers to my questions and get the run around:Unfortunately, we are not authorized to provide you any information of our back-end team.We are sorry for the delay as the refunds go into a queue to be processed by our refund issuing team, and due to the errors we're facing with our banking platform, there's a backlog at the moment affecting the timelines. Hence we need time to process refunds for our customers. This is in regards to the mishandling of my personal ID and the subsequent denial by Plastk to refund me due to their admitted mistakes.I paid $1000 to them for a secured credit card in early September. Not because I need it, as my credit is ok. I just want to boost it as they advertised in their ad. They asked me on 3 different occasions for all my personal information to be sent to them via their unsecured app message service with some agent. More than one agent. My information is floating around who knows where. I have a 20 email thread that outlines every interaction with them and it is clear that they will not fix this issue, as well they are a bit incompetent as every time I email back when I have asked specifically to speak with management, minutes later I get another email from yet another agent completely ignoring all of my requests for resolution. Right now, this second, I have no confirmation my account was made, their app still shows I need to be verified even though I sent all my personal information. They keep asking for me to send a selfie, and my id through their unsecured chat app and through my personal email. *** also asked me totally unrelated questions as to my identity.. none of the questions were relevant. This leads me to believe they mixed up my personal information with someone else? When I asked about this they literally said oh yes no problem just send your information to me right now and I will verify you They asked that same thing 3 times after already getting my information. So how many agents of this company have my info? How is it secure? They want to hold my funds for 60 days as a cooling off period? How can they legally hold my funds when they still have yet to create an account ?All I want is my money back now, and for them to not charge me a cancellation fee. However they will not. I have an entire email thread with every interaction. I am not sure how to get that to you. Please let me know how

I applied for Plastk through *** on February 11, 2022 to help improve me credit score. I sent a deposit of $300 as per Plastk instruction on April 28th, 2022 via e-transfer. I waited a day before receiving notification that my funds were received. At that time, I didn't receive a credit card or credit card number. My profile on Plastk was requesting verification to continue activation process through ***, and didn't have any more information. I called numerous times via the number provided by Plastk to inquire about why more verification was required & the *** account being shown to me had none of my correct information. So after 2 weeks of calling with no answer, I emailed plastk on May 15th to close my account. I was beginning to feel uncomfortable doing business with them after not being able to get in touch with them - an entire credit card company. I emailed and told them I want the deposit money for emergent reasons (hoping that they'd be sympathetic), but in return I was told that my credit card account (which doesn't exist as I still haven't verified my identity) accrued the mandatory monthly charges. I was stunned and demanded to know how that was possible as I didn't even verify my identity and receive a credit card number. Then another person emailed me (same thread, different name) stated that they see no transactions on my account so I'll only need to pay the monthly charges of $54 via e-transfer to receive my deposit of $300, minus $5 fee within the next two days. After telling them 'of course I don't have any transactions on my account because I don't even have a credit card or credit card number to make transactions with.' They insisted that I pay the $54 payment by e-transfer within the next two days to receive my deposit, and the closure of my account would be reported to the credit bureau, thus negatively affecting my credit score. Please assist me in retrieving funds and closing my account from this *** company.

Plastk stopped my card due to their agreement breakdown with the bank back in Aug 2023. I asked them to return my security deposit of $8000 since then. I waited for a year now and they don't respond to my request to return the deposit despite my repeated request, 6 times. They just simply decided not to return my money.

I live on disability and have a very limited budget. I have a $300 deposit sitting with this credit card company. And now there are nowhere to be found. The website is not working. The app is not working, and they still have my money. What is going on here?
