This company is super profesh!
This company is super profesh! They were great at talkin' to us and Gerald, our tech guy, was a total rockstar. He knew his stuff and paid attention to every little detail. Progressive Air is killin' it from the top to the bottom!
My guy Gerald from Progressive Air Systems, Inc
My guy Gerald from Progressive Air Systems, Inc. was amazing! He gave me a time when he would come and he actually showed up on time. He was careful because of the virus and he was really nice to my stuff. He took his time to make sure he did the fix right the first time. He also told me what he was doing and he listened to me when I asked him stuff. He's a cool dude! LD
Gerald was really good at his job
Gerald was really good at his job. He knew what he was doing and explained everything in a way that we could understand. We're happy with the maintenance and have been Penguin club members for two years now. Gerald called us before he arrived and got here on time. We recommend Progressive Air. Thanks for being awesome, Gerald!
My AC got fixed last week and now it ain't working again
My AC got fixed last week and now it ain't working again. I called the emergency line to get this sorted out as I got two little ones in the house and it's hot as hell in Florida. Laina B called me back and was pretty rude. She told me to contact the air technician myself instead of doing her job and getting it fixed. I already paid for it, man! That ain't how you treat your customers.
I had Progressive Air come out on April 14th for routine service
I had Progressive Air come out on April 14th for routine service. The service was good and I don't have any complaints. However, the tech parked on my grass and it was still wet from the rain. He left 20 feet of ruts in the lawn and in one place they were 10 inches deep. I talked to the service manager about it, but he didn't know what to do to fix the damage. So, I went to Home Depot and bought a tamper and pitchfork to level the area. I sent them a bill for $65.75 for parts and $50.00 for labor, but I haven't received any response to my two emails demanding payment. They expect to get paid for their parts and labor, and I also expect compensation for my parts and labor to fix their damage.
My builder picked Progressive to put in my AC, but they did a terrible job
My builder picked Progressive to put in my AC, but they did a terrible job. Parts started breaking in the first year (thankfully DR Horton warranty covered it). Now, only 1.5 years later, the whole thing broke and it's going to cost almost $900 just for labor, even though the parts are still under warranty. A really good local company said that the problems were because of the bad installation, but Progressive won't take responsibility. My wife is 8 months pregnant and it's so hot in our house - over 83 degrees every day - until we can get the new parts. It's not okay. I'll never use them again, not even for small stuff.
I was really unhappy with the service I received from Progressive Air Systems, Inc
I was really unhappy with the service I received from Progressive Air Systems, Inc. The technician came out to fix my AC, but ended up causing more problems and costing me more money. He changed one part and accidentally hit something else (the circuit board), which caused the unit to lose all power. The board was working before he shorted it, but they didn't offer to pay for the replacement. They ordered the part without telling me the cost, and when I called to find out, the service manager wouldn't give me a price on the part. I had already paid over $300 for the initial call, and the flat rate they quoted me for the part and labor was well over $400. I knew they were overcharging me. They also charged me $119 for something the manager couldn't even explain, but they did refund that amount when I called to complain. When I explained that the board was working before the technician short-circuited it, the manager refused to refund the service call amount or replace the board for free. I ended up having the work done by another company for much less. I'm still waiting for a call from the GM, but I don't have high hopes. I would think twice before calling this company. There are plenty of honest and reputable AC companies in the area.
Been a customer of Progressive Air for the past 11 years (since we contracted them to replace our entire Central A/C system)
Been a customer of Progressive Air for the past 11 years (since we contracted them to replace our entire Central A/C system). The unit installed was a huge jump in efficiency, comfort and performance (and significan reduction in our electric bill). We've subscribed to their twice yearly maintenance since program since (affordable and well worth the cost). The office staff, field manager and technicians are professional, customer service oriented and know their trade! Had our maintenance done this past Friday and the unit is humming along without any problems. Jose M. was the technician - 5-star job ‐ and would definately recommend him and Progressive Air as your go-to A/C company!

I had my blower Motor go out and called them to fix
I had my blower Motor go out and called them to fix. They tell me the don't service my area now. Well then I found out that it doesn't have a warranty I was to have a 10 years warranty but because they didn't register the unit it then only had a 5 year warranty. They never told us or left paperwork telling us that we needed to register it. Now we have a $820 bill we have to pay that we shouldn't of had to pay. I was the owner of a Electrical Company and if a customer needed something register for warranty we would tell them and leave a letting with the paperwork telling them also. This is very shady how they did this. I think they should be giving us a refund on what we had to pay. Your Company is a Joke! You should of left the paperwork and not count on someone else to do your job. Like I said before I was a Electrical Contractor and we always left the paperwork for the customer. You left all the paperwork for the units but not this. If you would of just done your JOB then I would of had a 10 Year Warranty. I see you like to always blame other for your mistakes. You never take responsibility. Not on one complaint. I was in business for 25 years and never had 1 ComplaintsBoard.com complaint. You are really stacking them up. I would advise no one to use your service because you never stand behind your work. I have found many people feel the same about you in our community. All you do is install for company's and the runaway after. You should have a F with the ComplaintsBoard.com. If they don't take you down to that I will never use the ComplaintsBoard.com again.

AC system broke down in just a year after installation in my new home
AC system broke down in just a year after installation in my new home. The service manager at Progressive Air Systems, Inc. refused to honor the labor warranties on my brand new unit, which was only a year old. They only agreed to honor the part warranty. One Hour Heating and Air, an HVAC company, confirmed that the AC broke down due to poor and faulty installation. They found a refrigerant leak and an improper transformer valve installed. I sent the invoice and issue description from One Hour Heating and Cooling to the manager at Progressive Air, but they refused to take any responsibility for their work. Their customer service is terrible, and the quality of their work is equally bad.
This company didn't keep their word
This company didn't keep their word. I had some work done on my air conditioning unit and the technician offered me a deal for two annual maintenance tune ups at a discounted price. I took the offer and had my first tune up in July. When I called to schedule the second tune up, they said it was only for one and asked for proof. I went to their office to show them the contract, but the manager said it was only for one and ignored me. Very disappointed.
Progressive messed up my AC system installation two years ago and now there's bacteria growing everywhere
Progressive messed up my AC system installation two years ago and now there's bacteria growing everywhere. I noticed it in my closets and AC closet in spring 2020 and told the builder and Progressive since they installed it. They came out a few times but didn't fix the root cause until I kept pushing. Finally, someone from Progressive and the VP of installation came out and fixed the settings. The humidity levels dropped below 60% and stayed there. But then I found out that the ducts in the attic were sweating a lot and saturating the insulation and frame in many places. I got a forensic engineering firm to check it out and they found out that the ducts were installed wrong and not sealed right, so cold air was leaking into a hot and humid attic causing condensation and bacteria growth. The report confirmed it was a construction defect. I told the VP of installation at Progressive about it and he said he'd review the report and talk to me. But it's been two months and I've called four times and emailed five times and haven't heard back from them.

We got an AC/Heating thingy from this company for like $9,000
We got an AC/Heating thingy from this company for like $9,000. We also got their maintenance thingy so it would stay working good. We did everything they told us to do like changing the filters and putting vinegar in the pipes. But when it got super cold this winter and we turned on the heat, it didn't work. We set it to 72 degrees but it never got warm. They came out to check it but didn't do everything they were supposed to do. When we called them again, they said we had to pay $97 even though they were just here less than 60 days ago. They found out the heat pump wasn't even connected! We set the thermostat to switch between heat and AC but it got stuck on heat and now we have no AC. When we called again, they said we broke it and we have to call the manufacturer. They sold us a bad thing and lied to us every time they came here. We're sweating in our house and they won't come unless we pay more. We want them to fix it.

Extremely UNHAPPY customer Tech came out to solve a problem with the room not cooling and he created more problems and cost me more $$. He changed one part and then admitted to hitting something by accident (circuit board). The unit lost all power (short-circuited board). The board was working before he shorted it. Said they would have to order the board but did not offer to pay for it (since it was his fault). Said the office would call with a price (which they never did). I called the next morning to find out that they ordered the part w/o telling me the cost. Talked to the service manager and he wouldn't give me a price on the part--only flat rate which would be well over $400 for part/labor. I knew he was padding the price--that was way overcharging. Had already paid over $300 on the initial call. I also talked to him about the overcharge when the tech came out. There was a charge for $119 which he didn't even know what that was for. He did refund that amount. But I had to call for them to take that action. It should not have been on the bill to begin with. When I explained that the board was working before the tech short-circuited it--he refused to refund the service call amount or did not offer to replace the board at no charge. I have since had the work done by a different company at a fraction of what Progressive charged and wanted to charge to complete the work. Now--waiting for a phone call from the GM. It's always a callback. Of course, the owner is out of town and don't know when he'll be back. Think again before you call this company. There are many honest and reputable a/c companies in the area.
