Public Storage Reviews Great Customer Service at Public Storage: Thank You Nicolas!

I recently had to put my belongings in storage when my apartment lease ended and I was told it wouldn't be renewed due to the owner turning all units into an Airbnb. The day I put my things in storage, I received a call from back east that my elderly mother was sick, so I had to leave that night. While I was away, my girlfriend went to the storage unit to get some of our belongings for her stay with her mother. She spent a good two hours going through boxes, and when she took a break and sat on the couch, the property manager accused her of sleeping.

The property manager told my girlfriend to pay the balance of the month and move our stuff out because we were now evicted. I was in New York tending to my mother, and the stress I was already going through was compounded by the fact that I couldn't just go back to Vegas to move my belongings without even having a home yet. I couldn't do anything about it except hold my payments so they wouldn't remove my stuff if no one was coming to move it. I was stressed out even more until I called Nicolas, the district manager, who is a good human being who cares about his customers and the company's reputation.

Nicolas assured me that everything would be fine and that I didn't have to move out once I became current. I was holding off paying until I got home so I could be there to move my stuff instead of strangers because my girlfriend was told that after we paid, we had to be out that day. Nicolas explained to me that's not how they do things and that I had nothing to worry about. He even took off the late fee because I thought if I paid, my stuff had to be removed that day, which is not the case.

If you ever have a problem at the property you're in or if you're thinking about renting at Public Storage, I would say go ahead and look no further because having a guy like Nicolas to go to should you need to resolve things, he will be there for you, and he will do everything in his power to make it right for you. I can't say that about a whole lot of people. Thank you, Nicolas, for eliminating a big chunk of stress I've been carrying around lately.

Public Storage Reviews Nightmare Infestation: My Experience with Public Storage Reviews

I recently rented a small unit from Public Storage Reviews to store some of my larger items during a move. Being in Florida, I was concerned about the safety of my belongings and inquired about pest control measures. The staff assured me that all necessary precautions were taken to keep my items safe.

I packed everything appropriately, using plastic bins and taped boxes, and even wrapping my dressers with plastic to seal the drawers. However, when I went to remove my things yesterday, I was devastated to find that my unit was infested with roaches. I was forced to leave half of my belongings behind due to the severity of the infestation.

The bugs were running rampant, and it was a truly disgusting sight. We were only able to remove the items that the moving company would allow on their truck, and even those were likely infested. We immediately notified the front office, but all they could offer was a form to sign to abandon the items left in the unit for disposal.

I regret ever trusting Public Storage Reviews with my possessions. Not only did I lose irreplaceable items, but I also lost thousands of dollars in belongings that could be replaced. I have no clothes, no bed, and nothing but increasing bills stemming from my poor decision to store my items with this company.

While I did have insurance on the unit, I don't expect much from it. It's just another giant waste of money and false security. I urge anyone considering using Public Storage Reviews to think twice and consider other options. This experience has been a nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Public Storage Reviews Abuse of Power: Public Storage Manager Terminates 8 Units and Mistreats Elderly and Disabled Clients

I recently had a very unpleasant experience with Public Storage, specifically with the manager, Genice, at the 367 Southern Blvd location in the Bronx. On multiple occasions, Genice was very rude and verbally abusive to both me and my elderly parents. When I expressed my concerns about her behavior, she threatened to terminate my lease.

One day, I was given a flatbed with a faulty wheel and went to the office to ask for a new one. I explained that my mom is disabled and could fall because of the faulty wheel. However, Genice refused to give me another cart, even though there were plenty of other flatbeds available. I have video evidence of this conversation and her rude refusal.

I eventually reached out to the district manager, Sam, and left a message. However, instead of addressing my concerns, Sam told me to vacate all of my units at every Public Storage location by August 31, 2022. This includes units belonging to my husband, my mother, and other family members. This is a total of eight units, which is a significant loss of revenue for Public Storage.

I find it outrageous that a manager can casually terminate the tenancies of eight units at once, punishing an entire family and costing the company a significant amount of money. This is a clear abuse of power and should not be allowed. My family and I will be taking legal action against Public Storage.

In addition to the mistreatment of its elderly and disabled clients, Public Storage is also terminating our month-to-month tenancies without providing the required 30 days notice. Furthermore, they terminated my tenancy without any prior warning or reason, which is a violation of my civil rights and indicative of retaliation.

During my phone call with Sam, he refused to provide specific details about why my tenancy was being terminated and which units I needed to vacate. This lack of transparency is unacceptable.

Overall, my experience with Public Storage has been extremely negative, and I would not recommend their services to anyone. If you have had similar experiences, I would be happy to connect with you or an attorney.

Public Storage Reviews Public Storage: Terrible Service and Unfair Rent Hikes During Pandemic

I can't believe that Public Storage has a rating of 4 out of 5. It's just not possible. I think those companies pay for fake reviews. I've been using Public Storage for a long time, ever since I moved across the country (2,000 miles away). It's really depressing to think about how much money I've given to those idiots. It would be easier to accept if the service was good, but it's not. That's why I'm writing this review today (April 6th, 2020). I can't understand why Public Storage would choose to raise rent on customers right now. We're in the middle of a pandemic, and millions of people have lost their jobs. Personally, I haven't worked since the first week of March, and there are thousands of other people across the country in the same boat. On March 26th, I called Public Storage customer service to ask if they had any help for customers who couldn't pay rent on time this month, or if there was anything they could do to help in any way. They told me "NO, but customers can make payment over the phone for free to avoid late fees." I've been dealing with Public Storage for a long time, and I've never received a text from them. Suddenly, a week after I called them to ask about payment alternatives, I got a text reminding me that payment was due on May 1st, or a late fee would be applied. But the biggest shock for me was that my payment went up this month from $244.00 to $256.00. Shame on you, Public Storage. I understand that paying for a storage unit is not a priority right now. But when you make the mistake of moving across the country and putting everything you own in a storage unit, it's not that easy to just let go. I've never met anyone who has anything good to say about this company. To be fair, I didn't rent from Public Storage. I rented a unit from Extra Space Storage, which was later sold to Public Storage. Yes, business is business, but without your customers, there is no business. Don't worry, Public Storage, we will remember how you treated us.

I can't load the picture, but here's the proof. Giving them one star is a favor to them.

Public Storage Reviews Public Storage Reviews: A Nightmare Experience with Lost Units and Stolen Personal Information

I recently had a terrible experience with Public Storage Reviews (publicstoragereviews.com). I lost two storage units with this company when I lost my apartment. The first time, I had a huge tote with all my personal information in it, basically my whole life. Unfortunately, the buyer didn't return my personal stuff, so they had the choice to ruin my life and credit. The second time, I lost my apartment when COVID came about, and I had no ID. I had to put the storage unit into my friend's name, and then she gave me access to the unit. Due to COVID, I lost my job and got really sick, and the storage had a lien on it. Well, I paid it in full, and my friend, whose name it was in, called multiple times and gave me permission to put new locks on the storage. However, the lady working at Public Storage in West Valley Utah named Sandy had no care in the world. She wasn't even one bit empathetic, even though I had pictures and my two kids' socials and birth certificates, my dead father's death certificate, his autopsy, and original documents that no one had. I needed to prove his murder, and I can never replace these things ever again.

So, I tried multiple times to go and put a new lock on the doors after I paid the balance in full, and they were being shady about me getting into the gates because she said they were having problems with break-ins. I feel like she was hiding more than that, but she made it difficult to get my stuff out of there because my friend, whose name was on the unit, works two jobs and had no time to go and change the locks but gave me permission to do so. Sally wasn't making this easy for me at all. I tried to make the payment, but I needed to renew my license so I could cash my check. Well, I couldn't because she wouldn't allow me to get my social and birth certificate to do so. I had no options at that point, and when I told Sally about it, she said, "Well, why would you put that kind of stuff in there?" Why? Because I had nowhere else to put it. Rude! I've never felt so shut down and violated, and there's nothing I could do about it besides cry.

I hope no one else has to go through what I did. So, I am currently trying to find a way to get the buyers to return my personal stuff. It's messed up and cruel. I just received a call that I had a Mountain America Credit bank account that I owed that the first time I lost my storage unit before that's ruining my credit, and now this storage unit again, the buyers are doing fraudulent activity with my little family's identity. I'm a single mom struggling for our personal stuff. I urge people to go with another company. Do not trust your personal belongings there! The workers get into your stuff whenever they want and take what they want, and that's because they hired people who are criminals and non-trustworthy, who do not care for people in my situation. I have talked to multiple people who have gone through the same issues and are victims just like us.

Public Storage Reviews Terrible Experience with Public Storage in Marietta, GA: No Storage Unit, No Refund, and Poor Customer Service

I recently had a terrible experience with Public Storage at their location on 1966 Leland Dr in Marietta, Georgia. I was interested in renting a 5 x 10 storage unit and went to the location to ask some questions before making my purchase. After my questions were answered, I proceeded to purchase the storage unit on my smartphone, which was advertised as being one dollar for the first month. However, I was not informed about the additional fees of $29 for administrative purposes and $20 for a lock fee. Additionally, I was not allowed to use my own lock due to the design of the lock provided by Public Storage.

After submitting my payment, I received an error message saying to contact customer service. I went to the front desk and spoke to a lady who was not helpful at all. She kept insisting that I had not purchased a unit, even though I showed her my receipt for payment of $51.19. After three hours of going back and forth with her and her manager, Ericka Traylor, nothing was resolved. I even tried to contact customer service through the Public Storage website, but was told that the location was no longer managed by Public Storage and they could not assist with billing.

I was shocked and frustrated by this response, and the lady at the front desk was furious as well. Public Storage had taken my money, but I did not have a storage unit or a pin to access it. They told me to dispute the payment with my bank, but I still did not have a storage unit. I had to make a police report and plan to take Public Storage to civil court.

I am still driving around with my belongings in my car because Public Storage has not refunded my payment. The lady at the front desk tried to give me a storage unit, but she claimed that they did not have my payment. It made no sense to me, and I refused to accept a storage unit without proof of payment. I have screenshots of my conversation with customer service and my payment receipt, as well as pictures of my belongings in my car.

Overall, I do not recommend Public Storage at this location. They took my money and did not provide me with a storage unit, and their customer service was unhelpful and frustrating. I will be seeking legal action for the pain and suffering caused by this experience.

Public Storage Reviews Mixed Experience with Public Storage: Rate Hikes, Lack of Temperature Control, and Poor Customer Service on Move-Out Day

I have been a customer of Public Storage for a couple of years now, and overall, my experience has been decent. I rented a small unit to store my belongings, and while I didn't encounter any significant issues during my time there, there were a few things that left me feeling less than satisfied.

Firstly, the rate hikes every six months were a bit of a nuisance. I understand that this is standard practice for storage units, but it still felt like an unnecessary expense. Additionally, the unit I rented was not temperature controlled, and the top of the unit was open to the building's rafters. This meant that my belongings were exposed to the elements, and I found a lot of bird droppings and nesting materials all over my things. If you decide to rent a unit here, make sure to cover your belongings to avoid this issue.

However, my biggest problem with Public Storage came on the day I moved out. When I arrived at my unit, the light bulb was burned out, and the unit was pitch-black. I headed to the office to request a new bulb, but the door was locked, and no one would be back for another 45 minutes. I walked back to my unit to wait, passing an employee who was sweeping the aisles. I assumed he would be able to help me, but he said he couldn't change the bulb and that they were all out of stock. I was frustrated, but he eventually agreed to grab a bulb from another unit to put in mine temporarily.

Unfortunately, the new bulb didn't work either, and the employee determined that there was an electrical issue in my unit. He left me standing in the dark with no solutions or assistance. I was disappointed that the employee was unable to help me and that there was no one else available to assist me. It felt like I was left to figure things out on my own.

Overall, while my experience with Public Storage wasn't terrible, it wasn't great either. The rate hikes and lack of temperature control were minor issues, but the lack of assistance on my move-out day left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not sure if I would use this company again in the future.

Public Storage Reviews Unethical Business Practices at Public Storage: My Experience at the Torrance Location

I have had the opportunity to rent from Public Storage on multiple occasions, at various locations. However, my experience at the 3501 Lomita, Torrance location in 2017 was by far the worst.

I had reserved a storage unit online and arrived on moving day with a fully loaded rental truck. When I began the paperwork process, I was informed that I had to purchase their insurance or provide proof of my own renter's insurance. I was taken aback as I had never been required to purchase insurance before at any of their locations, including this one. I did not have proof of my own insurance with me, and Leslie, the employee assisting me, insisted that I could not rent the storage unit unless I agreed to purchase their insurance. She claimed it was their new policy.

Feeling frustrated and wanting to get my belongings into storage as soon as possible, I reluctantly agreed to purchase the insurance. However, as I read through the contract, I noticed that it specifically stated that I could decline the insurance. When I pointed this out to Leslie, she insisted that the forms were outdated and that I had to purchase the insurance. She assured me that I could have it removed once I provided proof of my own insurance. I signed the form, feeling uneasy about the situation.

Leslie provided me with a number to contact corporate. After several attempts to reach management, I was finally informed that I did not need to provide proof of my own insurance, but that I needed to return to the facility to have the insurance removed from my account. When I returned to the facility, Leslie was extremely uncooperative. When I questioned her about the inconsistencies in the form, she became defensive and told me to leave because she planned to close up the shop, even though it was only 12:30 in the afternoon. When I insisted that she complete the transaction, she threatened to call the police on me, which was shocking and unnecessary.

At this point, I decided to start recording our interaction. Leslie already had her phone in her hand, and I suspected that she was recording me as well, although she denied it. She became upset when she realized that I was recording her and told me to leave again. She quickly calmed down when she thought I was going to sign the form. However, when I asked her to print the form, she claimed that it could not be printed until after I signed it. She eventually cancelled the insurance but refused to refund the money I had already spent. She told me to contact "customer service" to discuss my refund, although it was clear that she was not familiar with the concept.

After several attempts to contact her supervisor, I finally spoke with Ken Lassegard. His initial reaction was to defend Leslie's behavior by suggesting that she must have felt threatened if she threatened to call the police. However, when I explained the situation to him, he acknowledged that her behavior was unacceptable. He also informed me that it was against policy to issue a refund for insurance, even though I had only purchased it because Leslie had insisted that I do so.

After this experience, I will never use Public Storage again. I later discovered that the company had recently lost a $5 million class action lawsuit for scamming people on insurance, which only confirmed my suspicions about their business practices.

Public Storage Reviews Unethical Practices at Public Storage: Hidden Fees, Penalty Charges, and Poor Customer Service

I recently had an experience with Public Storage and I have to say, it was not a positive one. I did some research online and found out about their lawsuits regarding the use of "penalty" late charges and raising rent after several months of being there. Unfortunately, this happened to me and I immediately closed my account when the corporate agents used their script over the phone tactics to overcharge me with a "penalty" instead of a simple late fee. I believe that 5% of a unit of $134 is fair, but not 20%, which was not labeled on the contract. If it was, I would have never signed it. This is why I believe that it is unethical. Until it is clear on the contract that I agree to 5% only, I will not be using their services again.

When I signed up for the storage unit, I was not given upfront information explaining this. When I asked about it, I was told it was just a few dollars, so I didn't think much of it. However, I later found out that this was not the case. I also found out about a store in Illinois that closed down for one day due to cold temperatures, which fell on the day at which fees would be assessed. They were open the day prior when it was cold out, but then reopened the next day when it was still the same temperature outside. All cash customers were not allowed a next day grace period to pay the late fee, causing a huge amount of fees for them to charge. This is also unethical.

When dealing with Public Storage agents over the phone, I was either verbally pushed around or met with a "just deal with it attitude". This just screams that the company doesn't care about their employees. They never once instructed me to email a dispute team at ***@publicstorage.com, which I found after reading some fine print for 30 minutes. You have to at least try to resolve the issue that way before taking up a lawsuit with them. This was all sent to that email for review. No one was helpful at any point except when I set up my unit.

When I sent an email through their website form, there was no ability to CC myself or anyone else or keep track of them. This is another unethical tactic. When speaking with agents, I demanded a supervisor call back or email me for a phone appointment, but it's been 48 hours and I sent 3 emails during that time to remedy the issue with no response. No call backs. No voicemails. No texts.

I immediately closed my account because I will never do business with a company like this. Everyone needs to follow suit and not allow them to continue their unethical practices. When you look at your contract, it will say they assessed the late charge on the 7th and will not give any reasoning behind how they came up with the assessment. One agent said he "just doesn't know". To me, unknown assessments are unethical. Auto pay can help, but if for any reason a lapse happens in a deposit, it can cause more fees from the bank. This doesn't match that we are dealing with a storage unit that is supposed to be clear in pricing.

They do not record calls as to not allow any evidence to be used during a lawsuit, nor will they CC any emails back to you that were sent to them when asked. All companies that are truly ethical will label ALL fees by a "clear number" that is expected to pay. If that happens, everyone has a right to know the fee amounts upfront. Also, when a demand is made to speak with a supervisor and that falls on deaf ears, it is a huge problem in any company. Along with simple agent training methods to allow clients the ability to solve a problem with them.

The only reason I gave them one star is that I have to at least put one. However, the manager at the Charleston location was nice in setting me up with an account, so she deserved at least that. I'm sure she hears all of this but is just trying to get by herself. They don't pay well from when I looked on indeed for more reviews about them.

Public Storage Reviews Frustrating Experience with Public Storage Reviews: Untrained Staff, Dirty Units, and Payment Issues

I recently had a frustrating experience with Public Storage Reviews (publicstoragereviews.com). I called on 11/30/20 to upgrade my 5x5 unit to a 10x10, but was told by Shana that I would have to "vacate" my current unit and make a new reservation for the larger unit. This didn't make sense to me, especially since I hadn't even moved in yet. I offered to change my move-in date to 12/1 and come into the office, but was told I couldn't reserve the 10x10 unit over the phone. Shana did offer to speak with her Regional Manager, but didn't give me their name.

Later that morning, Shana called me back to say that her Regional Manager confirmed I needed to "vacate" my current unit, but that I would receive a full refund. When I asked about the price difference between the online price of $171 and the price Shana gave me of $162, she couldn't explain it and said I had to come into the office to reserve the unit. I ended up reserving the unit online to avoid losing it, but this was later used against me.

As Shana finished the "vacate" process, she realized she couldn't refund the $24 Admin Fee. She promised to call her Regional Manager, but I later received a call from Patrice instead. Patrice told me the Admin Fee was non-refundable and that I should have upgraded my unit instead of "vacating" it. I explained what had happened earlier that morning, but was promised another call back from the Regional Manager.

The next call was to tell me I would receive a full refund, but that I couldn't get the lower rate of $162 because I had booked online. I called again the following day and was told by Sue that the Admin Fee had been credited back, but it never showed up in my bank account. I left another message for Sue on Sat 12/5, but didn't hear back until later in the day. When I showed up on Thursday 12/3, I had trouble finding my unit because the staff hadn't told me there were two facilities on opposite sides of the street.

When I finally found my unit, the lock was inside and there was no packaging, which meant I couldn't get a refund. The unit was also dirty and smelled of naphthalene. As of today, Monday 12/14, I still haven't received a refund for the Admin Fee. Next month's invoice was reduced by $24, but I have to pay for a second month if I want to be credited for their mistake.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend renting from Public Storage Reviews. The staff is untrained and you end up paying for their mistakes. The units are also dirty and poorly maintained. It's not worth the hassle, even if you eventually get your money back.

Public Storage Reviews Bait and Switch Tactics and Poor Customer Service: My Experience with Public Storage Reviews

I recently had an experience with Public Storage Reviews (publicstoragereviews.com) that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. On September 9th, I called in to inquire about a deal to replace my current storage space. The person on the phone found me a 10x15 space for only $86/month, which was much cheaper than what I was paying before. I agreed to leave work early the next day to go and secure the unit before the sale ended.

However, when I arrived at the facility, I discovered that the space was not actually climate controlled as I had been told. Instead, I was offered a second floor climate controlled space for $92/month. I walked the space and decided to go ahead with the rental.

Next, I was informed that I had to purchase a lock from Public Storage for $19.99, even though I already had a lock on my previous storage space. I later found out that the same lock was available on Amazon for only $7.

But the real issue came when I was informed that I was not eligible for the discount I had been promised because I had another, smaller, undiscounted space at a different facility. This was not mentioned to me when I called in to inquire about the deal, and I felt like I was being baited and switched. When I called the corporate number to complain, the person I spoke with was rude and unhelpful. She even transferred me to a voicemail box instead of connecting me with a supervisor.

Overall, I feel like Public Storage engaged in illegal bait and switch tactics and breached our verbal contract. I am disappointed in their lack of customer service and would not recommend them to others.

Public Storage Reviews Unacceptable Customer Service from Public Storage Reviews: Threats and Disrespect towards Loyal Customers

I recently had an experience with Public Storage Reviews (publicstoragereviews.com) that left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. I rent two units from their Live Oak, TX location, but I hardly ever go to them because I try to pack adequately so I wouldn't need to rummage through them. However, I needed a TV out because the one I had gone up. I went to the storage unit and got the TV and realized the remotes and plug were in another box not far back but I needed to move some things out to get to it. Long story short, I didn't realize it was after 9 pm, and the door wouldn't unlock, leaving me locked out with my keys inside.

I called customer service, hoping for some assistance, but instead, I was threatened with limited hours to the already limited hours they have. I was shocked and disappointed by this response. I pay these people almost $600 per month (which I pre-paid for six months), and I get the hours are till 9 pm, but last night was an anomaly. I am a good customer who has never had any complaints or disturbances by me or from me. I don't respond well to threats when I am paying for a service.

Fortunately, there was another person coming out, and I asked them to hold the door for me. All was well, fine, and good until this morning when I was called by the property manager and threatened that if that happens again, my hours will be restricted to just business hours. Like that matters, it's only three hours less than your regular access hours... LOL.

I understand that there are rules and regulations that need to be followed, but I feel that the response I received was not appropriate. I will be moving my storage units to a company that doesn't threaten their customers! It's a shame because I have been a loyal customer for a while now, but I cannot continue to support a company that treats its customers in this manner.

Public Storage Reviews Terrible Experience at Public Storage Tampa Florida Location: Misleading Rates, Smelly Units, and Poor Customer Service

This was a terrible experience! I called the customer service number and was given a rate, but when I got to the location, the manager, James, quoted me a different price. He even said that corporate could change my rate the next day if they wanted to. He showed me two units, but they both smelled so bad that I had to buy four Damp Rids from him just to make it bearable. I was already spending hundreds of dollars with the moving company, so I felt like I had no choice but to use the unit. If I had known it was going to smell so bad, I would have never used it. There was no feedback about this issue.

James then told me that I had to buy their lock for $20 and couldn't use my own lock. I told him I would buy one at Home Depot, but he said they didn't have any. I went to Home Depot and found a lock for almost half the price. The next day, I called headquarters and they said I could use my own lock.

Before I even signed a contract, James asked me to leave positive feedback. I came back a week later and needed to throw away a chair, but James said they didn't have a dump for customers and that if I left the chair, they would bill me $100. I called another Public Storage location up the road and Morgan said he was happy to dispose of the chair. Since I had no space in my car, I had to put it on the roof of my car while my son held it as I drove to the other location. The manager there didn't care and didn't have any common courtesy to help.

I'm sure Public Storage is a great company, but this location was the worst. I will be removing my personal belongings from the Tampa Florida location at 16415 n dale mabry. This has been the worst experience I've had.

Public Storage Reviews Nightmare Experience at Public Storage Facility: Poor Security and Unacceptable Customer Service

I recently rented a parking space for my 2012 Toyota Tacoma at the Public Storage facility located at 3673 South Redwood Road, West Valley City, Utah. I thought I made a wise decision by choosing a national company with a good reputation. The facility's information boasted about a property manager living on site for added peace of mind. The facility was also described as state-of-the-art and featured a sturdy electronic gate with keypad access. However, my experience turned out to be a nightmare.

Just one month after renting the parking space, my wife and daughter went to retrieve the truck and were shocked to discover that it had been broken into, vandalized, and stripped of its catalytic converter and oxygen sensor. The damage was extensive, and the repair bill came to a whopping $1,471. My wife and daughter were deeply traumatized by the experience, especially when they found drug paraphernalia on the ground beside the truck. They immediately called the police, filed a report, and had the truck towed to Mark Miller Toyota for repairs.

I was disappointed and frustrated that my vehicle didn't survive even 30 days at this supposedly well-lit and state-of-the-art facility with a property manager living on site. The security measures that were advertised seemed to be non-existent. My wife and daughter's traumatic experience could have been avoided if the facility had taken proper security measures.

To add insult to injury, I was charged $50.67 for the parking space where my truck was vandalized, and I had to pay a $100 deductible for the repairs. I requested a refund from Public Storage, but I was told that there was no way they would refund me a single cent. This is unacceptable customer service, and I am deeply disappointed.

I hope that Public Storage takes this incident seriously and improves their security measures to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. As for me, I will never rent from Public Storage again and will advise others to do the same.

Public Storage Reviews Beware of Public Storage's Deceitful Practices in Naperville, Illinois: A Nightmare Experience

Let me tell you about my experience with Public Storage at their location on 1852 LaSalle Avenue in Naperville, Illinois. It's a real scam, folks! Beware of the deceitful and unethical practices that go on here, especially with their billing system. They lie to you over and over again, from the property manager to the district manager, regional manager, and even corporate. They confirmed that they received and processed my payments, but they never returned the money for insufficient funds. It's been a nightmare from day one, starting with the office manager who tried to sell me a used lock for $20, claiming it was new. I went along with it just to avoid any confrontation and get my stuff into storage.

But it doesn't end there. These crooks have put my property in lien/auction status again, just for their own joy. They know how to manipulate the billing system to make it look like payments were not received, and they even involve your bank in their deceptive practices. I've been told that this is what they do to whistle-blowers in Illinois, trying to make them lose everything they own. It's a battery of them, and they have no shame.

I've tried to contact Public Storage's corporate office and the regional manager since June 30, 2022, but no one has returned my calls. It's a purely evil, hateful, wicked, and vindictive game that they play here, and it needs to be shut down immediately. No one is above the law, not even in Illinois. I urge the Feds to investigate this matter and put an end to their scam once and for all.

Public Storage Reviews Public Storage Reviews: Terrible Customer Service and No Exceptions Made

I just had a terrible experience with Public Storage Reviews. I've been renting three large lockers from them for 35 months and have spent over $25,000.00. I asked the on-site manager if she could give me a 2 day cushion in emptying the third locker as I am disabled and had logistics issues in getting a couple of strong youngsters to finish the job till the weekend. She said that their company policy would not allow her to do that but because I had been such a valued customer for so long, she volunteered to call her district manager, Dan Frohock, to see if he would authorize an exception. I was filled with optimism for the five whole minutes it took her to return my call. He said no.

I then spent three hours trying to speak with anyone in CA at their corporate office in an attempt to find a real person who valued good customer relationships. Those three hours would have been better spent playing miniature golf. It's just ridiculous that any management personnel cannot recognize that exceptions can be made, and that there are times when it would just be the right thing to do.

Now, instead of being a long-time customer who would endorse them to friends, sing their praises, and do business with them again, I will devote myself to making sure that EVERYONE I know understands that they should never give any business to Public Storage. It's simply a shame.

I cannot fault the on-site management, Maryann, here. It is the completely tone-deaf corporate management who doesn't care about good customer relationships and cannot see the benefit of "word of mouth", even in today's world. It's no longer just the guy on the corner, but we each now have a platform by which to convey thoughts and ideas to others instantly and en mass.

Overall, I would not recommend Public Storage Reviews to anyone. They clearly do not value their customers and are not willing to make exceptions when it would be the right thing to do. Save yourself the trouble and find a company that actually cares about their customers.

Public Storage Reviews Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Public Storage Reviews

I recently had an experience with Public Storage Reviews (publicstoragereviews.com) that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. My friend Makaila Pappas rented a storage unit F54 at the Public Storage located at 8601 East 67th Terrace, Kansas City, MO ***-5671. Unfortunately, on May 18th, Makaila was involved in a terrible car accident on highway 40 and Denton in Independence, MO. The accident took the life of her mother and left Makaila with multiple injuries, including broken bones below her neck except for her left arm. The keys to the storage unit were lost in the accident and never recovered.

During this time, Makaila's father and I were unable to obtain any form of power of attorney due to her age, state of mind, and heavy pain medications that she was taking. Despite this, the storage bill remained paid and up to date.

On August 1st, I went to the location and paid cash to change the lock and for rent for the month of August. The staff assured me that they would call us when the lock was switched so we could retrieve Makaila and her mother's belongings. However, after calling them a few times, we discovered that the lock had not been changed. They assured us that they would call once it was completed.

On September 10th, Luke called Makaila to advise that the storage was past due. She informed him that we had paid over a month ago to get the lock changed so we could remove the items. He stated that the lock was changed on August 24th but we had to pay for September before we could retrieve the contents. I called Luke and explained the extenuating circumstances and the gravity of the situation. I asked if there was any way that we could just come the next day and pick up the contents. He stated he would call his manager and call me back. Unfortunately, I still have not heard from him.

On September 13th, Luke called again to advise that the storage was past due. Makaila asked what she was supposed to do being crippled and having no more money. He stated he was just letting her know.

Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of empathy and understanding from the staff at Public Storage. The situation was already difficult enough, and their lack of communication and assistance only added to the stress and frustration. I hope that in the future, they can work to improve their customer service and show more compassion towards their clients.

Public Storage Reviews Unprofessional and Disgusting Customer Service at Public Storage: A Review

I recently had an unpleasant experience with Public Storage and their lack of customer service. I have been sick with both the RSV flu and COVID, which has made it difficult for me to visit the facility for long periods of time. When I finally did make it back, I found that the bathrooms were once again locked up, as they often are. It seems that you have to beg just to use the restrooms, or they will tell you to go across the street to Taco Bell or Carl's Jr. This is unacceptable, especially during a pandemic.

When I went into the office to express my frustration and let them know that I would not be renewing my contract, the manager accused me of breaking the bathroom door. I was shocked and offended. I had not been near the facility in days, and there was no evidence to support her accusation. She claimed that there were no cameras by the restroom, but there was a keypad that could have been used to determine who had accessed the bathroom.

As a 61-year-old woman, I will not tolerate being disrespected by a child behind a desk. I have been waiting for over 10 hours for a general manager to contact me, but I have not received any response. This is unacceptable, and I am considering legal action if this matter is not resolved. Nobody should be accused of something they did not do, especially when they are paying for a service.

Overall, my experience with Public Storage has been unprofessional and disgusting. I would not recommend placing your things in their facilities. The lack of customer service and disrespect towards customers is unacceptable.

Public Storage Reviews Terrible Customer Service and Lack of Sensitivity from Public Storage Manager During Estate Transfer

I recently had a terrible experience with Public Storage and their customer service. My father passed away last summer and my mother is the legal executrix of his estate. He had a storage unit at one of their facilities, and my mother had been in contact with the regional manager to make payments and transfer ownership of the unit. However, the manager was extremely difficult to work with and showed no sensitivity to our situation. She even requested personal information that she legally had no right to see.

Despite providing all necessary documentation, including a copy of the death certificate and legal appointment of my mother as executor, the manager, Donna Murphy, refused to allow my mother to pay the bill to bring the account current. She even suggested that my mother could only send emails to my deceased father's email address. This was clearly unacceptable, as we had access to the account and my mother was legally in charge of my father's property.

I reached out to Public Storage corporate to address this issue, but received no response. It's disappointing to see such a lack of concern for their customers, especially during a difficult time like this. The manager, Donna Murphy, should be reprimanded and given a course in human decency. My mother deserves an apology for the way she was treated.

On a positive note, I would like to mention that Amanda from the local Morganville, NJ location was the only person who showed sympathy and kindness during this situation. It's a shame that the corporate side of Public Storage couldn't follow her example. I attempted to leave a similar review on Google, but unfortunately, you can only review the local facility. I don't want to give the local facility a negative review because they seem to be more competent and caring than their corporate counterpart.

Public Storage Reviews Public Storage Tchoupitoulas St. in New Orleans: A Scam Company Engaging in Fraudulent Activities

This company is a total scam, especially at the Tchoupitoulas Street location in New Orleans. They are engaging in fraudulent activities that are causing me a lot of stress and frustration. Let me tell you what happened to me.

Firstly, I rented a unit from them for only one month. After that, I paid them in full and asked for a receipt or some kind of proof that I had vacated the unit and had no balance. However, they refused to print me any paperwork and instead, the manager wrote me a handwritten note. Since then, I have been receiving harassing calls and emails from their corporate offices, asking me to pay more money. Every time I speak to the workers at the location, they tell me that my account is closed, but they cannot print me any paperwork to prove it. I will have to take them to court and file a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection.

Secondly, when I moved in, it took three hours to complete the paperwork. The woman who was helping me (a white woman in her 40s) looked like she was on drugs. I had to pay my movers for the three idle hours they had to wait for Public Storage to complete a simple contract.

Thirdly, their units have termites. These termites ate part of my beautiful and expensive armoire during the one month that I rented the unit.

Lastly, their advertised "$1 for the first month" deal ended up costing me around $250 in hidden fees. On top of that, they want me to pay $261 every month, probably for the rest of my life, because they cannot seem to close the contract.

My advice to you is to never give them your debit card information. Once they have it, you are stuck with them for life. They are like a cancerous tumor that you cannot get rid of. I am now involving my attorney and taking them down for punitive action.
