I read that Ray *** allows me to return a used vehicle within 3 days or 150 miles. I just wanted to exchange it for a brand new model, but they said no on two separate occasions. You would think that after all the business I have done and brought to this place, it wouldn't be a problem. I'm really disappointed.
I went to Ray Skillman Chevrolet in August and bought a car
I went to Ray Skillman Chevrolet in August and bought a car. I saw some marks on it and asked if it had been in any accidents. They said no. Recently, I tried to sell the car to pay off my loan, but I found out that it had been in an accident and the airbags had deployed. The car's value is not what I was charged for it. I contacted Ray Skillman Chevrolet and told them what I found out. I asked them to buy the car back because they sold it to me under false pretenses. One sales manager said they would buy it back and that the salesman would call me to finalize everything. I waited for an hour, but no one called me back. I called them again and spoke to the salesman, who said he would talk to his manager. I had to call back again because no one returned my call. Then they said they would take the car back if I bought another one from them. I put $4,000.00 down on the car and now I'm stuck with a car loan that is twice the car's worth. This is not right. They need to take the car back and help me get out of this deal. If they had told me the truth from the beginning, I wouldn't have bought the car. Can you help me? Thank you.

One week ago from today, October 27, I bought a 2019 Dodge Charger from Ray Skillman Chevrolet, Inc. The car had around 19,XXX miles on it. Before making the purchase, I test drove a 2019 Chrysler 300, but it had visible damage and had been in an accident, so I decided not to buy it. Instead, I chose to move forward with purchasing the Dodge. While test driving it on the interstate, I noticed that the braking caused a lot of suspension issues and bumpiness during stops. I mentioned this to the dealership before leaving and suggested that an alignment might be needed. They took the car to the service department to check, but they said it didn't need an alignment. They told me that the tires had flat spots because the car had been sitting idle and advised me to give it a few days to work out the flat spots.
Less than 4 hours after leaving the dealership, I realized that the windshield washer fluid dispenser and remote start on the car were not working. I took the car back to the dealership's service department on October 28, thinking that these issues would be covered under Ray Skillman's bumper-to-bumper 4,000 mile/4 month warranty. However, I was informed that the repairs were not covered. They did fix the windshield washer fluid dispenser, but they told me to go to a Dodge dealership to have the remote start repaired, as it should be covered under the manufacturer warranty. I had to schedule an appointment and wait for one week to get into a Dodge dealership because there were many customers ahead of me. I did this in an attempt to have the remote start repaired.
Today, November 3, after having the vehicle diagnosed by the Dodge dealership, I was told that the car had been in a wreck and that the frame is bent. I was informed that the manufacturer warranty does not cover actual damages to the vehicle, only defects. The car now requires a brand new hood assembly, has suspension issues when braking, and also has an electrical problem that affects the radio and climate control. I spoke with Dan Skillman and expressed my frustration about these issues. I was very angry because these business practices seem shady. He did admit that sometimes they sell previously wrecked vehicles but asked me to bring the car in so that they can take care of everything. I told him that the repairs should have been done properly before putting the car on the lot to mislead people into thinking that it is new or has no issues. The car doesn't appear to be physically damaged, but once you drive it for a while, it becomes clear that there are issues under the hood and under the body.
This dealership was deceptive when selling me this vehicle and didn't want me to find out that it had been in a wreck. Initially, they also didn't want to repair any of the damages associated with the wreck. I now feel that this car is unsafe to drive because many of the damages caused by the wreck were not discovered during my test drive. I believe that this car will have ongoing issues now that I have purchased it.
