I been trying to get off their mailing list for a while now
I been trying to get off their mailing list for a while now. It started in 11 and I just got another letter from them today. I've reached out to them multiple times but they keep sending me stuff.
I bought a *** Titan from Ray Skillman
I bought a *** Titan from Ray Skillman. They lied to me right from the start and tricked me into buying a car by promising an extended warranty. When I needed repairs, they told me to wait 30 days before getting the warranty so it wouldn't expire. But when I went in for repairs, they refused to fix it because they said all the parts were aftermarket, even though those were the parts on the truck when I bought it. Plus, there was no buyers guide in the window to inform me about the truck or the aftermarket parts.
Ray Skillman messed up my consumer report
Ray Skillman messed up my consumer report. I wrote them a letter on 11/04 asking for the contract I supposedly signed, but they haven't sent it yet. It's been a while since they received my letter on 11/13. I never signed any contract with them. They're in trouble for defamation, enabling identity fraud, violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

I got a car from Ray Skillman Westside Imports, Inc
I got a car from Ray Skillman Westside Imports, Inc. and it turned out to be a real dud. The head gaskets blew just 6 months into my 36-month lease. I had to take it back for service a week after buying it because the valve cover gaskets needed replacing. But they won't admit that they didn't service the car properly. I've been taking good care of the car and making my payments on time. I had a little accident that wasn't my fault and it caused some damage to the outside of the car. I got it fixed somewhere else, and now they're saying they won't do anything about the previous mechanical damage.
I just bought a 2017 *** Titan from this car lot
I just bought a 2017 *** Titan from this car lot. Got myself an extended warranty for my truck too! But guess what? I had some issues with my truck and took it back to Rayskillman, only to find out that all the parts on this truck are aftermarket. And you know what that means? It voids my extended warranty! Can you believe it? When I bought this truck, there was no buyers guide in the window and it wasn't even "sold as is." I've tried talking to the guy who sold me the truck and warranty multiple times, but it's like talking to a brick wall. This is just bad business, especially in this economy. They never mentioned any of these things about the truck to me, and it wasn't in writing either. That's just plain fraud! The guy who sold me the warranty knew my truck wouldn't be covered, but he still sold it to me. And you know what? I've been making all my payments on time for this truck!
Ray Skillman Westside Imports, Inc
Ray Skillman Westside Imports, Inc. service department told me on January 20th (2nd visit in a week to fix) that the navigation card was part of a defective batch of cards. They had been providing new cards free of charge since it was their problem even if cars were out of warranty. They insisted my vehicle is a CX-9 Touring instead of Grand Touring even though they were told by both myself and the service department at Ray Skillman that the original sticker in the glove box states the vehicle is a Grand Touring and comes standard with navigation. They are refusing to fix and the bad card causes the infotainment center of the vehicle to constantly reboot and shut off. I asked the service department at Ray Skillman to help me resolve the problem with them and was informed that it wasn't their problem and I shouldn't expect them to help with it.
I bought a 2017 Hyundai Ioniq on 1/10/2022
I bought a 2017 Hyundai Ioniq on 1/10/2022. The only thing I didn't want was a service warranty because this dealer is four and a half hours away from me. My sales rep *** promised me that the car was in good running condition from their service department. We never received any proof like we wanted. My sales rep and finance person didn't seem to know much about cars. A week after buying the car, my check engine light came on. I took it to my local Hyundai and they advised me to take it back because the repairs would cost $3,000 to fix. My husband contacted the dealer and they told us that I signed an "as is" warranty and that the Hyundai I took it to was just trying to get my money, claiming that none of the problems listed were wrong with the car. It's very frustrating that I was sold a car with so many problems and I also never received the title until my temporary plate was about to expire. This car has been in the shop more times than I can count.
I bought a new car from Ray Skillman Hyundai in Avon, IN on July 28th
I bought a new car from Ray Skillman Hyundai in Avon, IN on July 28th. I paid the price they had listed 'cause it said it was new. Three weeks later, I tried opening the sunroof for the first time and heard the metal frame bend. I took it straight to the dealership and asked what was up. They told me that the car had been messed up before while it was at the dealership. The sunroof had busted out before and the frame got bent. They fixed the glass, but they didn't have the frame yet. They also said I couldn't drive it 'cause it wasn't safe to drive around and hadn't been safe. They never told me any of this when I bought it and I never got a warning. I drove around with my family in the car and it wasn't safe (their words, not mine). I wouldn't have paid that much or bought it if I knew it wasn't fixed completely. They straight-up lied when they said it was new and never told me about any problems it had before. According to Edwards' website, a car like that should be worth about $8,000 less than the original value with problems like that.

On 10/03, I made a credit transaction with Rayskillsman West dealership and extended my credit using my credit card (SSN Card) as the original creditor. However, the dealership fraudulently financed a car for me, which goes against the laws stated in 15 USC 1602(L). According to 15 USC 1605(a), the finance charge should be the sum of all charges. The finance charge should be $3,087.20 exactly, but the dealership and financial institution charged me a total sale price of $12,789.92, which is $9,702 more than it should be (See Attachment for exhibit A). This is an unfair credit card practice and violates the *** (Truth in Lending Act). Additionally, my signed contract does not include my insurance coverage, which is a violation of federal law according to 15 USC 1605(a)(5).
Now that I am aware of the law, it is clear that they have violated the Truth in Lending Act and the FDCPA. Not only was I misled, but I have also been continuously harassed by Rayskillsman Auto Finance. They have been making numerous calls and sending text messages from different numbers. In just this week alone, I have received over 50 calls, which has caused me a lot of stress and inconvenience. Furthermore, I have even lost my job because my phone keeps ringing non-stop.
I had my 2019 *** towed to Ray Skillman on **** to fix the transmission
I had my 2019 *** towed to Ray Skillman on *** to fix the transmission. It sat there for weeks. After my repeated calls to get info, they said there was a long wait for parts and offered to do other basic maintenance while I waited. It was an insurance claim with rental car reimbursement. Since R. Skillman never updated me, I had to call to find out when it would be done. They assured me it would be finished before the insurance stopped paying for the rental (30 days). But that didn't happen. The rental company told me the repair was done and insurance wasn't covering the rental anymore. I called *** to arrange pickup. Their mistake made me pay unnecessary costs. I tried to get R. Skillman to fix it, but they made promises they didn't keep. They never called back, and then out of nowhere, *** Guardian emailed to say they wouldn't fix it. Now I'm out hundreds of dollars and R. Skillman is a bad business that keeps deceiving customers and costing them money. Please help stop this. *** Contact info: Sales Manager *** and Account Manager
1/31/2022 - After test drive, I asked four times to take the vehicle to my mechanic
1/31/2022 - After test drive, I asked four times to take the vehicle to my mechanic. I was ganged up on by five men who told me the vehicle was okay. I asked for my keys to the car I drove in twice. I was then ganged up on again by the five men. The vehicle was returned to the dealership on 1/26/2022 with an antifreeze smell. They had the vehicle for five days for a so-called one-hour thermostat repair. Chris Kelly told me the thermostat was replaced, and I could smell the heat, but no paperwork was provided regarding the "repair".
2/2022 - I then took the vehicle to two ASE Certified Mechanics, and both mechanics told me that the Odometer Sensor had been tampered with. They also found that three tires had broken belts, there were serious issues with the transmission, and the thermostat had not been touched or replaced. Additionally, Ray Skillman had poured in a toxic chemical to seal the leak in the heater core, which I am now breathing. My mechanic and I went through my Retail Installment Loan Contract (see attached). I was charged $3,000.00 for a one-year, 15,000-mile warranty (I could have gotten a 100,000-mile, five-year warranty from Endurance or Car Shield), and I was charged $249.00 for Antitheft, which was already in my key fob.
The mechanic looked up the value of the Jeep on KBB and found that it was only worth $4,800.00. So why was my loan so high? When I called Centra Credit Union, I was told they loan 150% over the value of the vehicle, which was not disclosed at the time of sale. I am not willing to pay over $17,000.00 for a vehicle that is only worth $4,800.00. They knew the vehicle had all of the above-listed issues and yet violated my rights by not allowing me to take it to my mechanic when asked four times. They knew I never would have bought the vehicle. When I spoke to Justin *** regarding these issues, I was told, "oops, oh well, you bought it as is, and this is just buyer's remorse, so it's your problem now."
I bought a 2018 Kia *** in January from Ray Skillman Westside
I bought a 2018 Kia *** in January from Ray Skillman Westside. After having it for a week, I had to take it back because the hub bearing was messed up on both sides. They kept telling me it wasn't, but I know a little bit about cars and knew that's what it was. Then in March that same year, I got hit by another car and the front end of my car was damaged on both sides. I took it back to Ray Skillman *** after getting estimates and everything needed to fix my car. It took them almost 6 months to fix it. That was because of covid, which is expected. They were waiting on a headlight. I'm a single mother of 4, a full-time student, and work full-time, so I needed my vehicle. Finally, I got my car back. But a week later, the battery stopped working, the alternator went out, and the tire rods on both the passenger and driver side were shaking terribly. I ended up stopping in the middle of the highway, almost causing a huge accident. Took my car back to Ray Skillman, and they had it for two more months. After getting it back, I started having more and more issues. Took it back to Ray Skillman so many times, I lost count. Each time they said nothing was wrong. I had already told them about other issues too. When I finally got someone to look at my car, they told me there was a recall on the particular engine I had and I would have to wait until the engine blows to get a new one. So until then, I spent so much money on gas and oil because my car was consuming both. Also, the car would jerk and stall and make a loud noise. Back in June this year is when the engine blew. They had my car for a month and gave me a rental. I got it back about three weeks ago, and it still has the same issues. Stalling, jerking, loud noises when the air and heat are on, glitching radio, and a knocking noise. It's still consuming gas and oil. I'm frustrated! So do I still need to continue making car payments at this point?
