Management Error to notify of increase in rent
Cliffdale Crossing in Fayetteville NC formerly Brookstone Apartments increased my rent but neglected to inform RealPage of the increased amount. The lesser amount was taken out for March rent and I waited the required three days for confirmation as well as an additional few days to the actual rental date. Once I had the confirmation I withdrew the remaining funds in my account. It took Management 13 days-almost two weeks to discover their office staffs error in advising of the increase. They are now harassing me for the $184. I have advised them that I will not be responsible for their error. It was up to them to ensure they advised RealOage of this increase not up to me. I'm a 71 year old woman who has resided in the same apartment since 2009 and can produce documentation of all timely and correct rental payments. I look forward to any legal action they try to collect for their mistake.
Desired outcome: Cliffdale Crossing needs to assume responsibility for their error and stop harassing me for the $184 and ensure that they advise RealPage of the increased fee for future payments.
Water/Trash Utility
Since November of 2022, the residents of Elmwood in Burbank, CA have been in petition to not pay any further water charges to Realpage, a company based in Texas that is already under heat of multiple lawsuits for colluding with landlords and property managements to overcharge customers.
They do not charge based off consumption; in our case water.
Living in Burbank, we should be paying Burbank Water & Power, but instead we're paying a third party company that measures our "bill" based off our some obscure, unknown, methods.
Our water charges doubled between the months of Nov-Dec of 2022, and are still at the same price. Two years ago, the bill was 1/6 of what it was. Trash also went from just a few bucks a month to over $20/mo in these two years.
Some sort of foul play is taking place, and the residents are not paying for it.
We also already pay BWP for trash and sewage.
Desired outcome: Transparency on charges with a more detailed explanation, accountability for gouges w/ refunds to every resident. All bills to lower.
Cancellation of Payment
My name is Robin V. Norise, address 7916 Michigan Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63111. I rent from Deca Realty here in St. Louis.
I wanted my transaction cancelled and was unable to contact any one from your company. I emailed your company regarding the issue.
I made the payment of $1,098.52 and was charged a fee of $33.00. I don't have that kind of funds to be taken from my account. I am elderly and I am on a fixed income of social security disability. The date of the transaction is 08-04-2022 and the line # BR9M2YZNLA8.
Please refund my $33.00 back to my account or refund the total amount back to me so I can make my normal payment of $2.00 fee.
Desired outcome: A refund of my $33.00 or refund the total amount back to my account.

Hot water heater and inaccurate reading
I have had an old water heater that had a lot of sediment, including minerals, calcium carbonate, magnesium and limescale. I have photos of the water heater and meter that wasn't working properly. Last week The new water heater wasn't flushed during installation. The pipes hammers with old and new HWH when showering even after new water heater installation. Sediment is still in the tank, causing me and my families skin to dry out and causing itchiness after a shower. My hair, dishes, laundry, and appliances are affected by the buildup left in the tank due to the vendor not flushing out particles and sediments. The water heater has never been flushed to rid the deposits left behind. I can assure Realpage utility management that i overpaid for my sewer and water bill.
Desired outcome: To whom it may concern, I would greatly appreciate it if RPUM would please refund me for over access bills. Sincerely,S.Freeland
billing/
04/25/2019
I was billed for rental/utility services for incorrect dates of usage and for the time I was not living there. When I call the number, she refused to make any corrections and asked me not to call back. I was completely polite and simply was informing her that I had written papers from landlord that the rent for the time that they are billing for should've been waived. But their customer service at billing kept cutting me off and raising her voice and said she doesn't want to "deal with me and is sending me to collection agency" and "good luck and don't call back". I have receipt for all utility payments made from the date I moved in to the present day.
water billing reimbursement not coming back to community
The sum of over $10, 450.00 is owed to my community. This is a small townhome community and each member pays their own water bill to NWP. From there NWP is suppose to take out their collection fees and send the HOA a check each month so that the HOA can then pay the county for water usage. NWP has not paid us for several months and now owes our community over 10K. This company is a rip off and does not follow up on any complaint.
utility services
This company is unorganized and bill you late fees even though they screwed up. They are charging me a late fee because they processed my payment late, not because I made a late payment. They have the wrong phone number on the invoices they issue and if you call it a lady will answer and tell you that you have called the wrong number and then give you another wrong number to call. I am also very unclear on how they can justify how each person is billed as we are not individually metered. There are some apartments that have multiple persons living in them while others have only one person but it seems that when more people are occupying the other units my bill keeps going up with no explanation why. They say they are committed to providing the highest quality services but I think they are only committed to taking your money and don't give a damn if you are getting high quality service or not.
I didn't get the water bill in the mail
Online payment for hudson miramont austin texas
I have paid rent through real page.com several times. There was a problem with the payment going through this month. In the past, I scheduled the wrong amount, and a very helpful employee helped me correct the mistake. The payment was not even sent this month costing an additional $75 in late fees. I may well have made an error. Why would Yuri tell me that I could not even talk to him about it? He said an inquiry would have to go through the apartment personnel. I called the apartment manager's office in Austin and was told they couldn't talk to me about it because they didn't have access. The supervisor "Yuri" would give me no assistance. He was unfriendly and unprofessional. Should not be dealing with customers.
Tried to get information on why my online payment was not made. Employee "Yuri" was rude and unhelpful. He told me I would have through Hudson Miramont. Employees at Hudson Miramont said they were unable to access records. A previous encounter with Realpage was experienced with a resolution to the problem. Yuri was either misinformed or just being belligerent. Would not recommend this service to anyone wanting to maintain good rapport with their customers.
Unauthorized charges
I am being charged a month to month fee when i turned in a 6 month renewal in February. They recently sent out a notice that
my lease expires April 25, 2016. I was charged a month to month fee in march. The manager states she has no record of this, but it was turned in to an employee she recently terminated. I can fax the notice that they sent me saying the lease expired in April but I was being charged for month to month fee in March. I am not sure what management is doing or if they are competent. They have two different dates for renewal. I do not i should pay extra for their incompetent.

The complexes were denied because of my background knowledge
I applied for apartment complex through Real Page Inc. But it was denied, because I owed another complex. I applied for another complex and it was denied again. After my third attempt, the admin replied and said that they denied everything because of the criminal background. I asked to provide the copy of the report and everything what was written in the report was lie. I need real help and home. Please, help me.
$5.00 Service Fee
I want to know why there is a $5.00 service fee on the bill each month. Is the apartment complex not paying the bill on time or is the complex getting rich or is NWP getting rich by charging this so-called fee? There is NO REASON for the charge other than someone is getting rich! No other utility company charges a service charge like this! Everyone who is affected by this should join together and file a suit for unjustified charges resulting in overpayment!

Unethical/Anti-Employee Management
DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!! The management at this company, including "HR", is all PRO-management and ANTI-employee! And "HR" stands for Human Retribution, not Human Resources! I have been assaulted and had my vehicle vandalized by violent employees, and the management and "HR" department always parrot the SAME phrase for everything, "there's nothing we...

Billing
I've had issues with this company for years and my complaints seem to fall on deaf ears. Their billing is really messed up. They send me a bill and I over pay it (I'm not home very often and I prefer to write checks in even numbers) The next month i will get a bill saying I have a credit of say $20. The very next month I will get a bill from them saying that I am late in paying them and they have informed the property management. I will write a check and mail it right away but the next week I will get a notice on the door saying that I need to give the property management the money. So i give them the money and now I end up with a HUGE credit on my bill. The cycle just continues over and over again. How can I be late on a payment when I have a credit?

Charged for faulty meter
Three months ago our apartment notified us that their daily printout of water usage showed over 1000 gal. used in 24 hours and wanted to check for leaks. Our usual usage had always been under 3000 gal. for a month, so that was unusual. They didn't find anything but replaced both toilet flappers to be on the safe side. When we got out rent bill for that month, we saw that NWP, who handles the water and sewer for this property, had assessed us as using 17000 gal. for the month. Since this was added to our rent ($168) we paid it and didn't think it through-our mistake.
The next time we were notified of overuse, it was for 2000 gal. over a time when we weren't even home. The apartment got a company to check our meter and it had a faulty sensor, showing 21, 000 more gallons than actually used. NWP credited back the gallons, (subtracted them from the running total from the meter read-out) but no one credited any money back to us. The apartment management said they were trying to work something out with NWP. We heard nothing after that for a couple of weeks.
During this time I would take photos of the meter and it would add 1-2 gallons for a flush, 40 gal for a shower. The apartment did a bucket test and 5 gal. out registered as 5 gal. But then our new bill came, billing us for $130 for 13, 000 gal in a month. The meter reading on the statement was 76000 total as of 5/31; my meter reading was 66000 for that same day.
After several attempts with the apartment management, I met with them and showed them pictures of our meter readings. As of yesterday, NWP is showing 90, 000 gal total, while the actual meter shows 68, 000! The apt. manager said NWP would ask me to do a dye-in-the-tank test, which is ridiculous since the actual meter has never shown water usage that would suggest a leak, but I went ahead and did that (another $4 for food coloring). No signs of a leak.
When I started looking into NWP, I found so many complaints about the same thing, it feels like this is just how they do business. I guess for every person who disputes their fraudulent charges, there's even more who just figure they had a heavy usage month and pay without thinking. I'm waiting to hear about crediting our account--I guess that's between the apartment and NWP. We're looking at other apartments, and one of the criteria is going to be that the water and sewer aren't handled by NWP.

Water and Sewerage bill
I have been living in Sierra Apartments LLC for almost 3 years and my water bill keeps rising! I live in a small studio and my current water bill is 54$! How ridiculous is thay? My job requires a lot of traveling and I am hardly home to spend 54$ on water. I called tje company to complain and they said there is only one metre for the building! I am paying water for the rest of the community which I don't even use! I hav complained aboutthis company a lot andi feel the only way to get their attention is ifi alerr the news companies to investigate and expose this company for it's fraudulent billing system and rip off! They even charge for metre reading and actuallybilling services!

Over-billing for water - CA
I just moved to Arbor Terrace appt (Sunnyvale CA) which has employed services of NWP (Irvine, CA). Every month I see a sharp rise in prices for water bill. Last month was shocker because while my electricity bill was hardly 35$ ( from PGE), my water bill alone was 63$. Every month, we have been reducing the consumption of water and electricity. While the electricity bill is reducing, but the water bill is ever increasing. It looks most surely that the there is a single Meter for water, which records all neighbors usages as well as Apt run Fountains/swimming pools and Laundry. First of all, why should I pay for what neighbors use. And why should appartment run fountains running entire night be billed to its residents. Also since every resident knows, that there is no reduction in bill even if one saves water, so this is leading to wastage and over-consumption and moderate customers like me have to pay the large bill for negligible usage. I also feel there is little transparency on what basis the calculations are done in NWP. I've called both ( my appt and NWP) but they dont want to help me or explain the inner details. They seems to be hand in gloves in corruption.
For those who wants to save environment and pay for what they use, its a wake up call. Please help me and my neighbors get a seperate meter for water so that everyone pays for what they use and hence we all save environment.

Total Rip-Off
My apartment complex, Harbour Run Apartments in Mentor on the Lake, OH is using NWP to commit fraud on the residents. The apartment complex is acting out like a utility in charging us for "voodoo" billing. As they are acting as a utility they need to be approved by the Ohio EPA as a water and sewer utility, which they are not.
We receive water and sewer bills that do not reflect actual usages, as there are no meters or any accountability whatsoever. Many residents, especially single elderly residents on fixed incomes receive water/sewer bills of over $50/month. There are no meters and they use 'voodoo" formulas to "guesstimate" how much water they think you use.
Complaints have been forwarded to the Ohio EPA and the media and justice soon will prevail. Also a class action law suit is being formed. The Ohio EPA stated that the apartment complex will need to file to become a water and sewer utility in order to "resell" water to its residents. This will entail water monitoring by the State of Ohio EPA.
Complaints of wrong water/sewer bills to NWP end up getting "canned" responses and the drones on the phones just read a scripted statement.

Fees
I recently moved into an apartment here in Farmington Hills. I got a new job and previously lived in Kalamazoo, MI - about a two hour drive. I happened to be in town on April 27th, 2013 filling out some paperwork for my new job. I had a few boxes in my car that I was going to leave at my girlfriend's parents' house with me. I had been looking for a place to live for a few weeks, calling over thirty apartment complexes in the Walled Lake area to find that Independence Green was one of three that had anything available on such short notice. It had a washer and dryer in the unit so I decided I'd go check it out. I liked it and signed the lease that day since I was already there and so I could drop off the boxes I had and save myself about a half hour of travel time to get the boxes from her house. So I dropped them off and left. I came back on May 3rd with a UHaul and all of my belongings, almost a full week later. I was in the apartment dropping my boxes off for maybe ten minutes total. Independence Green uses a company called NWP Services Corporation to manage their utility billing. I was assured by numerous people who work for the complex that even though I was 'technically' moving in on April 27th and 'officially' moving in on May 3rd that my first utility bill would be very small and would of course be pro-rated. I was fine with this. Lo and behold I get my first bill, for less than four days (it was late afternoon when I signed the lease) I am charged $78.58. This is mind-boggling to me. The $10 new account fee, fine. It's an administrative fee that's surely unavoidable from reading some of the other complaints about this company. The thing that I don't understand though is why I'm being charged a "$60.00 Gas Flat Charge". I used literally nothing in the apartment while I was there for the ~10 minutes dropping things off and I certainly didn't use anything that would require gas - it was hot outside and there is a window AC unit, the range is electric and that bill is with a different company. I emailed the company, as per their request if you have billing issues - nothing. No response at all from anyone. No one at the complex told me anything about these random, seemingly unavoidable fees and there is absolutely no reason at all I should have to pay that. At this point I am at a loss as to how I should proceed. I'm not going to hire a lawyer over $60 but if I don't pay it it will go to collections and there goes the credit I've been trying to establish. The fact that there is a continuous monthly 'Administration Fee' is absurd too. These accounts sit in a computer system. Everything is done automatically. My previous job was for a bank and unless there's a problem with an account they just sit there doing there thing. Why should I have to pay to have pay for something which wasn't even explained to me in the first place? Not a good first impression with this company. The complex itself has been very accommodating but this NWP Services Corporation I have a feeling is going to turn into a nightmare to deal with. Any advice would be strongly appreciated. I would also recommend (if possible) trying to avoid complexes who deal with this company. Including an image I took. It's two pictures of my bill; I copied parts of them together so it didn't have any of my sensitive information visible.

Another thing! What is the $5.00 SERVICE CHARGE on every bill? SCAM! I just moved into this apartment two months ago, but I'd leave if I could. As if the rent here isn't high enough, then they attach additional charges. I've never had to pay extra for valet trash pickup, plus the extra service charge. I hate this place!
I'm getting scammed too! Only mine is over the "Electricity Processing Fee." I signed a lease on Dec 7 because if I waited, the amount of the rent would go up. I did not move in until Dec 11, a Thursday, because that was my day off from work. I did not even step foot into the new apartment until the evening before I moved in. I had to keep the electric on at my old apartment because I had to thoroughly clean to try to get my security deposit back (I didn't get all of it back and the landlord, Jorge Regueiro, refuses to tell me why--illegal) and to do the inspection with the landlord and return the keys on Sunday, Dec 14. I work 10-hour days and the electric company is only available during the time I'm working. I transferred the electric online and had to take a start date of Dec 17. The new apartment is charging an Electricity Processing Fee because I didn't put the electric into my name at the first day of the lease. The bill covered 12/8 - 12/10, $50. I paid it because I was told by NWP that that was all I'd have to pay. Now this month, I got ANOTHER $50 Electricity Processing Fee for 12/11 - 12/16. That's totally unfair because it's just the way the billing fell (or maybe it is contrived), but the manager here will not budge on removing the second $50 charge. DO NOT RENT FROM MARINA LANDING APARTMENTS (GREYSTAR) IN ORLANDO, FL!
NWP and a billing service only. You won't be sent to collections. The only thing they do is bill you $7.00 every month that you are late or don't pay the bill. They also charge you $3.24 a month to mail you a bill. The local utility and cable, gas, ect do not do this. NWP is a total scam. They have been scamming people like us for years. I have them and the Ohio EPA is going after them and my apt complex. You can't resell water/sewer without being certified by the Ohio EPA which will cost them tens of thousands of dollars. Many residents here refuse to pay these "guesstimated" bills. It is for water and sewer. I used to have a home and my bills were never this high at all. never. A huge class action suit needs to be filed.
I'm in the safe hands of the Ohio EPA. NWP and my apt complex will get not one more cent from me. Oh, BTW, my complex is in foreclosure as well!
If there was an individual water and sewer meter attached to my apartment I would pay the local utility direct. These outrageous guesstimated bills are immoral.
NWP just gives you a "canned" answer every time I call them. I dispute every bill.
