advertised movie title unavailable
I tried to rent the DVD movie "Red Tails" on Thursday June 21 after receiving a promotional email showing that the movie was available at Redbox kiosks. Unfortunately the distribution of this title was not to be found at several locations (I tried 3 and gave up). An hour and some gas wasted chasing around and no movie tonight. All of the kiosk locations I visited had this title shown on the new arrivals promotional display attached to the machine. But when you scroll thru the menus, it is greyed out unavailable, both DVD and Blu-Ray versions.
It appears Redbox is over-committing their release dates and/or their kiosk distributors aren't getting titles delivered by their release dates. When you get an email displaying a new title as now available, I expect to be able and find that movie within my area. Or at least a way to know if a particular 'box has it or not before I commit a special trip to find out it isn't there, even after searching online first
You do have a good point there, Truth. Saw it in the theatre upon initial release, and it was good enough to enjoy it again. Controversial, yes, I'm sure it might ignite some debates over it's content. But it was worth waiting to see it again, so I guess for the convenience of paying $1.28 instead of $9+ at the theatre, I can deal with the occasional late arrival. And you can hit "rewind" as often as you want if you couch potato and fall asleep, and you won't miss paying theatre concession prices either, will you?
You really expect me to believe that multiple machines are sold out of a title that has probably not even been placed in the box yet by a rep? It's poor servicing, that's what it is. If I hadn't been so eager to get it and waited a few days they would have been finally loaded up and available. The chances of every single copy within my zip code being rented on one day are insignificant.
BTW, get off you all-caps rant and get a life.
Because when the email says that a title is now available, I try 3 different locations to rent it and it's unavailable, even when the signage indicates it's there, that's a problem. Correction, make that 5 kiosks I had to try...2 of them the touch-screens were inoperative. So my movie probably cost me an additional $3-4 in gas.
red box game rental
We have been a long time customer withe Redbox, we are very displeased withe their customer service. One time we rented a game reserved it online and had to drive 5-10 miles to pick it up. Once we got home and opened the case there was no disc, it was just a copy of the label. So, we called Redbox to inform them of the issue, they showed no empathy they wanted to just refund us the money we were charged for the game rental. We were inconvenienced and thes is how they treat their long time customers, so I spoke to another representative and they gave us five promo codes, which as of today we have not use them yet. My wife is so upset we them she refuses to do business with them. Well, today May 18th which is my wife birthday, I talked her into renting a movie and game from redbox, so I reserved another game online and my wife decided to rent a movie at another Redbox location. She drove seven miles to another Redbox location, when she picked up the game this time she opened it up. They got us again this time they did not have the label they just had the barcode label, where the system scans once you return the disc. She called and told me what happened, I immediately contacted Redbox, again being inconvenienced driving out of my way and then having to wait on hold to speak to someone. This is my wife birtheday and we wanted to relax, thank goodness she had the movie in the case and we were not scammed with the movie. The supervisor I spoke to was very unempathetic when I inform him of the issue, he replied "Well how do you think we feel we lost $60." First, of all this should have never been said to a customer, it is not the customer's fault that the company suffered a lose. He said I will just give you three promos codes, I refused to accept them, I just told him to just refund my money, I am going to contact their corporate office. have attached a picture that my wife took from the incidence that occurred today, as you can see from the picture they tried to tape the barcode together and there is a slight opening, my wife immediately returned it back to them.

charged $98 for redbox movies already returned
I rented 4movies from our local redbox kiosk. I returned it the 2nd day, so I should have only been charged the initial rental charge plus one more day. I called first chatted online with a costumer service rep. and that was NO HELP! and then I called in. I spoke the the rep and she told me that I didint return any of the movies ever. First of all if I didnt return them then why am I calling And so I then went on to talk to a supervisor and he was really no help, didnt even want to hear it and basically said I was lying.
He told me there is nothing I can do about it because there was no issues with the kiosk at anytime before but I think nothing is guaranteed and just because there was never a problem with it before that doesnt mean that there will never be one, it is just a big box and people are always messing with them and things do happen. I have now contact my bank about this and everything will working itself out. This is fraud anyway you slice it, they charged my card and then refused to correct the issues not to mentioned the poor costumer service they have.. NEVER USE REDBOX.
Your better off paying for NetFlixs at least there is no late charges and you get charged on price a month, What is $15 compared to $1.20 for every movie you rent. You will save way more and able to watch even more movies for less than Redbox and you only have to go as far as your mail box. Or even better is paying that $4 or $5 your tv company charges to pay per-view movies…. No gas, no walking, no hassles, no reps, and no fraud charges plus redbox leaves you open for identity theft. What a joke I WILL NEVER BE RENTING FROM REDBOX AGAIN !
charges for returned movies
I rented 3 movies from a local RedBox, returned them after one night, and just found that they charged me nearly $80.00 for these movies. After going back and fourth with them over about a week, they kindly credited me for half of the charges. After telling them that this did not satisfy me, as this was their fault and not mine, I have received no return response from them. Which seems to be par for the course after reading what's happened to a lot of other people. I will be calling them today for the remaining balance, and if they don't take care of it, I'll be heading to my bank. Never again will I be renting from RedBox.

I'm curious to know if you called them back?
overcharged
On April 29th, 2012 I rented 1 dvd at a local Food Lion Red Box, swiped my Visa card and received my rental for $1.31. Then I decided to rent 1 more dvd and swiped my Visa card again and this time it charged me $2.62. It actually charged me twice for the first dvd. Incidentally, when I got home to watch the first movie, it was not even the movie that I ordered. Now my predicament is I am now going to return my 2 movies, and I bet they are going to say I need to return 3. NOW WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO. I wonder if Food Lion has a surveillance camera that could proove me right.
Redbox charged me 26.44 for a returned movie not only did I pay for the one day I had it I paid an additonal 26.44. Finally after they realized the error I was credited the 26.44 but they caused a overdraft fee that they would not reinburse and was questioning my banks ethics for not reinbursing me for their error. They have lost my business forever even if I have to pay more for a movie rental. I rented several movie a week from them 2 to 3 times a week. I got I'm sorry and you are a valued customer. Clearly Iam not .. Buyer Beware I heard of these horror stories and now its happened to me.
redbox charging bank account for movies returned
Yesterday while reviewing my bank statement online I noticed a charge to my account from Redbox Rentals. I have been using their services for many years now and never thought of keeping tabs on my returns but now beware. I called the Company and spoke with a customer service lady Amber and she looked up my rentals. First she said that it was 2 movies that show that weren’t returned. “The Devils Own” and ” The Greatest Movie Ever Made”. I said no to her that I did return them I rent several movies a week.
Then with her research she said “Oh I do show that we now have them, it was the movie Jane Ere that we don’t have I said no I returned that as well. I asked to be put through to a Supervisor and talked with her. She said that she can see by my excellent record that she would credit my checking account back.So the next day which is today Tuesday Oct.11th, 2011 I went online to check my bank account balance and noticed that not only my account doesn’t reflect the 28.00 in return but now they charged me 50 something on top of the 28.00 from my account.
I called again and asked to speak with a Supervisor her name is Lori. She told me that I owe for the movies that I just mentioned. Yes I was pissed and expressed my self so. She had a too bad so sad attitude about the situation. I asked to speak with her Supervisor and she said that “he doesn’t get on the phone with customers!” So now I have nearly 90.00 stolen from my account which I can do nothing about until they take the money from my account then I have to file an complaint action through my bank which is Chase to get my money back from these Crooks. I calculated that I rent over 250 movies from them a year.
NO MORE the buck stops here! So far they show over 170 movies for the year 2011. They I found have many flaws in their rental system. why do they not have their machines print you out a receipt when you rent and one when you return the movie for your safety and records. You cant rely on them sending you a confirmation letter receipt on a regular basis. They have lost a VERY GOOD Customer! It’s back to Block Buster for me. Hopefully they won’t go out of business like the rumors were awhile ago!
overcharge
I used redbox for the first time ever. I got charged an extra 32.40 on top of my rental fees. I called customer service and they wouldn't work with me at all and that included the supervisor. Horrible experience all around and I will never use red box again.

Over charged, scam, Red box billed me on Saturday 3/17/12. I returned the videos on 03/19. Then they charged me for additional two nights, should have charged one additional rental night. Their new policy is to refund the first night within 24 to 48 hours. I am wondering how many thousands of people they are holding funds in their bank. How much money is being held in redboxes accounts with this tactic.

I rent from RedBox using 2 separate cards on 1 particular card i received a bill from RedBox in the amount of $103.68 for 4 movies that they say were not returned. The movies were originally received on June 10 and returned to a slow processing kiosk on June 12. they looked @ both my accts & saw that i have returned every last movie i've rented within 1-2 days then said they would give me $40.00 back, which i refused. They are ripping people off and I'm not letting them continue to use my funds 4 there own personal gain. Something has 2 be done, and besides they will not let you speak with a supervisor stating "there are no supervisor's here @ this time" after he had just said he talked with his supervisor & they said to offer me $40 return..
About a week ago, we noticed our checking account had been overdrawn by $49.00 and the charge was for Redbox. We have always returned the rental within the next 3 days to avoid such a charge. I called the 800 number listed on their site and spoke with a woman who couldn't even find any record of us ever renting a movie from them. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and approximately an hour later she was able to find our account. According to this so-called "supervisor", our account showed that all movies had been returned. She asked me to fax a copy of our bank statement to correct the issue.
The very next day, we received a SECOND charge for $49.00 and I promptly called them back. I spoke to a different representative who had no trouble finding our information and informed me that 4 movies had not been returned. My first question is "Why did our account say we were in the clear one day, and the next day say we had failed to return 4 movies?"
Due to the charges imposed by redbox, our account was overdrawn by numerous NSF charges. We are now down by $200 and redbox still refuses to refund our money. We will not be using redbox ever again, and urge everyone else to do the same.
Hi there, sorry for any confusion with the new policy. The new billing process is that your card is authorized for whatever the amount of the rental is. This is to make sure funds are available. Within 3-5 business days, that authorization will fall off the account. Once you return the movies, the amount you owe will be charged. If you'd like to see more info or for FAQs about our new billing process, visit: http://www.redbox.com/singlebilling
your not worth the supervisers time honesty dealing with a call center that proccesses about 20, 000-30, 000 calls per day you are nothing to the superviser they deal with more important stuff than having to finish calls from there agents..and the fact that they are willing to give you 40.00 back even though you kept the movies out for 25 days
i think that 15$ per disk after you made a mistake is pretty good
for a 1$ a day up untill 25 days Service
I dissagree with "there are no supervisor's here @ this time" if you had called and got ahold of this nice sounded gentlemen named Dustin, I am more then sure he could have helped you with that fee. I do not think they were ripping you off though... I bet you didnt return your movie because you sound like a sluggard!
They did name them. I know for a fact that they were returned because there is a kiosk outside the store I work at, and I have gotten into a habit of stopping there before clocking in whenever we would rent a movie. I always stay to make sure the screen reads "Your DVD has been successfully returned" before taking off, in an effort to prevent this sort of thing.
Did they name the movies that you supposedly didn't return? Is it possible at all that you didn't return them?
unauthorized charges
Redbox charged $83 dollars on my credit card but I returned the DVDs. They will not reverse the charge. I am hopping mad!

I had rented redbox movies more than 100 times. Last night I tried to rent two movies, the machine took my credit card number, zip code, and email address. The movies never dispensed. I called the 800 number, the associate was clueless, rude, and kept telling me I had reserved the movies on line, and he could only issue a one day credit. I NEVER GOT THE MOVIES, and now I will get charged $24.99 EACH for movies I never got! This was more than a 30 minute ordeal in the cold night and snow, and his comment to me was "that's not my problem". Wow. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE...btw...in the half hour I was there, with the computer screen frozen on their machine MULITIPLE customers approached and said the same has happened to them, and the machine is broken a lot of the time. WHAT A RIP OFF...
So yeah don't rent from redbox took $100 so I called they can only refund me $40! Called them to ask WTF they said nothing they can do but refund $40 back. WHAT? $60 for a movie that I turned in but was a LITLLE late. You can't charge what ever you think fits your budget. Now I have to wait 4 months before I get my kids school clothes money back.
WARNING ! Do not bother with RedBox.
Go to there facebook account you will see hundreds of stories just like mine in their discussion forum.
If you reserved the movies online, then yes, you'll be charged for each disc for ONE night. If you are unable to pick up your reservation, for whatever reason, before 9 PM the next day the charge will go on your card. After that time, the reservation expires & Redbox will not charge your card anymore money. So I am not sure where you think you will be charged $24.99 for each of the discs you did not receive. You will just be charged for that first nights rental. The reason the associate gave you the one day credit was the cover the cost of the movies you were unable to watch- so essentially, that credit is good for the next disc you rent being completely free & on Redbox.
calle me a thief
MOVIE WAS RETURNED- 26 DAYS LATER WE WERE CHARGED FOR THE MOVIE-CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY SAID THEIR SYSTEM IS INAFALLABLE EVEN WHEN I POINTED OUT IT WAS IN FACT SIMPLY A COMPUTER AND DID HER COMPUTER EVER HAVE A "ERROR" AND SECONDLY HUMANS OPERATE PROGRAM STOCK AND INVENTORY ALL THE DISCS!- WAS TOLD FLAT OUT THAT THEY TRUSTED THEIR SYSTEM SO EITHER WE "LOST" THE DISC OR WE MUST HAVE "FORGOT" TO RETURN IT. SHE ASKED IF I WAS "SURE I COULDREALKLY DID RETURN IT" AND MY RESPONSE WAS "AS SURE AS YOU ARE IN YOUR "COMPUTER" NEEDLESS TO SAY WE HAD TO FILE A DISPUTE WITH OUR BANK FOR THE CHARGE- I FIND IT VERY INTERESTING THAT REDBOX ALOOWS MINIMUM WAGE EMPLPOYEES TO MAKE THESE SIGNIFICANT BUSINESS DECISIONS- JUST LOOK AT THE POOPY CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS DIRECT COMMENTS ' ONE OF HER COWORKERS WHISPERED IN HER EAR" THAT A CUSTOMER WAS A "ISSUE" SO REALLY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS ARE REDBOX "RENTAL POLICE" THEY KNOW WHEN YOU ARE TELLING THE TRUTH OR LYING BASED ON HOW MANY ISSUES YOU HAD WITH THEIR COMPUTERS AND WHETHER OR NOT YOU THREATEN THEM RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OR WAIT A LITTLE WHILE- ENOUGH SAID THATNK YOU FOR CONFIRMING MY DECISION TO NOT RENT FROM YOU EVER AGAIN- OH WAIT- TOO SOON TO MENTION THAT? WOWWW

Sorry to hear of the trouble with your returns and billing! Redbox can't credit transactions more than 180 days old, but for those of you who still might need assistance, if you email redboxcare@redbox.com, we'll see how we can help.
Redbox is a rip off they done the same thing to me. There should be a law about letting them do this to people. If there machines are not working they need to fix them Or the people that check the machines could be taking the movies. What customer in there right mind would want to keep the movie when they could buy it for cheaper somewhere else, Wake up redbox. You need to treat your cutomers right and quit accusing your customers of not returning the movies . I can say this cause i been a victim at this .
They just did the same thing to me, I'm currently disputing it with my credit card company.
took more money then they should
ok rent 4 movies had promo codes for the movies they was only suppose to take 2, 52 fro me but took 3.62 from me insted my my checking account go under 31 cents very mad did a bbb report dont rent from there because heres how they work they (1) pre authorization your card for 1.26 then when u return the movie say u keep it or two days they run your credit card/debit card for 2.52
thats 1.26 a night i dont like there pre authorization thing not coo will never rent from them again will stick with netfix
sticking to netflix better business for me
its still wrong they should charge u the rental the first night not do a pre authorization lmao on that one
yea but the whole pre authorization thing is bad bussiness should take the 1.26 right away and then if u keep it past 1 day then charge u 1.26 more not happy still thanks for the comment muffin
When it comes to their pre-authorization hold, no money is actually taken our of your account at the time the disc is dispensed from the kiosk. The pre-authorization hold is sent to your bank & then your bank must then tell Redbox whether or not you have sufficient funds in your account. The only time money is ever collected from an account is after the disc is returned (for the total # of days you kept the movie/ game) OR if it goes the full 25 days, in which case you will be charged the full price of the disc & will not be charged any more fees, the disc is yours to keep at that point. Redbox does not overdraft accounts either-- if there is not sufficient funds in your account, Redbox will take what it can... then try again in 7 days to collect the remaining funds. if the funds still are not in the account, another 7 days will go by until they check again. this continues until the full amount can be collected. The pre-authorization hold is a safeguard for Redbox against being completely ripped off for DVD's that a customer knows they cannot afford.
unauthorized charges and false accusing
I rented two movies from Redbox in September and the movies did not play in my DVD at home. So I returned one of the movies the following day and the other movie two weeks later. when I went to take the movie back the machine would not accept the movie. Here it is two months later and I have been charged for a movie that I feel like Im being accused of keeping and the customer service representative actually accused me of keeping this movie in which I know I did not keep or had a desire to keep. I am very offended by the rep and how he spoke to me about this movie. The customer representative name is Specene.

fist time ever using redbox, i loved it only rented twice, i look at my bank statement that week, it was at -107. WTF? So i call and ask them whats going on, the teller refunded me 3.40. i spoke to a manager and he was the rudest guy ever. he sounded like he didnt care that they were charging me, and all he kept saying was that they already refunded me 3.40… im never renting from there again.
there are some questionable business practices by some companies, but sorry Sobcky, this is not one of them. You forgot about them and you were billed, pretty simple actually.
machine accepted movie but still charged
Rented movies November 26, 2011 and returned before 9 p.m deadline November 27, 2011. Checked my account to make sure I had enough funds to order a pizza and there is a charge of a $1.20 from "SCAMBOX" aka Redbox. I did call cause I earned that dollar and I want it back! I spoke with "Dustin" with a snarky attitude, and I told him what's the charge for when the movies were returned the next day? He says when I returned the movie it was inserted the wrong way and it was later detected and that's why I was charged! Wow.. So, I said to him, so because I inserted the movie the wrong way even though the machine said "thank you" customers get charged for that? I rented three. I told him he better put my money back into my account! Unbelievable. I'm here to say that SCAMBOX is nothing more than a scam. The machine is built to take more money besides what you already paid for. That's how they make their money, its not just on rentals, come on people. That $1 rental has great eye appeal but it's your pockets they are hurting. What's worse is that they somehow have a way to charge your card whenever they want to charge and make a mysterious reason up as to why they did it. My advice, think twice, don't swipe! If you are a victim, get a replacement card so you have peace of mind.

poor quality
I just rented the movie Brides Made and i am very upset because it's all scratched, and keep skipping scenes. This is not the first time I rented a movie from redbox that this problem occurred and i like the company do something about to keep me as a customer. My email is [protected]@gmail.com or [protected]@aol.com. Thank you so much for understanding. Janet Franzone.

If you VALUE your bank account DO NOT rent from these guys. You will see the many numerous complaints here on this board and my last check they had 671 Better Business Bureau complaints. They are continuously charging our card...and customer service is horrible. We rented 2 movies...and they charged us for 5. We called and after an hour of arguing with them on the phone they agreed to refund 3 of the charges. A few days later they refunded 2 of the charges and they charged us another $1.06! Again, much wasted time on the phone. The ironic thing is it has been weeks since we used them. We have a local movie rental...I am getting a membership. You see, once they have your credit card/debit card...there is nothing you can do and because you do not get a paper receipt you cannot prove anything. You have been warned! If you want to be stupid that is your business...but just read...many have been ripped off for hundreds of dollars. RED BOX MOVIE RENTAL is a SCAM and it is only a matter of time when someone files a lawsuit against them. The only thing is since charges are small it would have to be a class action lawsuit...and then don't expect to get much back. I would be up for a class action suit just to bankrupt these ###! I am posting a sign on all the machines in my town warning people not to rent from them. You should do the same. Attached is what I am posting. Get the word out. Also, it appears a class action lawsuit is in the works: www.redboxlatefees.com
fraudulent charge
My wife and I rented a video from Red Box back on Feb 21, 2011 and returned it the next day. After checking our bank statement, my wife and I came to realize that redbox charged us $20.14 claiming that we did not return the rental till March 14, 2011. Now, I have rented from them before and have always returned the movies either the next day or held on to it an extra day but never have I ever not retuned a movie for close to an entier month! I called customer service and the lady (Lisa) said she could not help me because I was calling after 90 days. I explained to her I did not notice untill I checked the bank statement (I don't check them every month) and there must have been an issue with the machine. She said that there could not be an issue with the machine and asked if I wanted to spk with a supervisor (Lee). I did and I got the same thing! No help, there machines are perfect, and it must have been my fault. I will never rent from redbox again and I urge anyone that has to make sure you check your bank statements for fraudulent charges from redbox!

Get Netflix. Better service, more choices, and you don't have a time limit in case a billing error occurs. I've had it for years and never had an issue. Best of luck
won't let me rent movies
I have a complaint about redbox. I have tried to return my rented movies twice and do not want to be charged a third time by redbox for them. I would like the money to be put back on my card please as soon as possible so I don’t get charged anymore. I would try and take it to another redbox but i dont have a car and this is the closest redbox in walking distance to my house. I really hope that somebody can help on this matter thank you for your time.
$25.00 charge for movie not returned
I too rented a movie about 3 weeks ago. A charge for 25.68 for redbox was posted to my bank account. I called redbox and allison told me a movie had not been returned and that is what the charge was for. I told her it was returned and she told me to check around my house to see if I might still have it and if I didnt she would have a service tech come out and see if it was stuck in the box somewhere. Regardless I wouldnt receive a full refund even if the service tech did locate the movie. As a courtesy she would refund me $10.00. I advised her I would be filing a complaint with the Governors Office of Consumer Affairs. I also told her I would be contacting my bank for a full refund.
She told me to do whatever I needed to do and thank you for choosing Redbox. I told her I would not be using Redbox again! PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM REDBOX! THEY DO NOT ALWAYS GIVE YOU RECEIPTS SHOWING YOU HAVE RETURNED YOUR MOVIES EITHER. IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU TOO…
This has never happened to me but I've heard a lot of people say it has occurred with RedBox.I'm sorry this happened to you but be grateful you're getting a refund at all.
Redbox did the same exact thing to me. Why would I want to keep Treasure Buddies? I did not even want to see Treasure Buddies... I will NOT be using REDBOX again.
double charging for dvd from redbox
In May I tried renting a video from Redbox fot the 1st time. I returned it the next day. When my credit card bill came there were 2 charges for video rentals one on the day I received it and another on the next day when I returned it. I only got one video for one day. I e-mailed them and was told that they would credit me next video rental. (It would be free).
I rented another video in June for one day and when I checked my credit card account there were 2 more charges for videos just like before. There was no credit listed in the account. Well I WILL NOT RENT ANOTHER VIDEO FROM THEM.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I also have had problems with double charging, when contacted customer service I was very dissatisfied with the customer service rep. She was very rude and sarcastic. I generally rent movies anywhere from 2 to 3 times a week. This experience is definitely influential in my making any future purchases. I have noticed that when using a prepaid debit card I do not get double charged, it only occurs when i use my debit card associated with my checking account. That is a definitely a signal that something is awry!
I was charged 3.25 for the rental fee for the first day having two movies. the second day I was charged double 6.50 for the same two movies. WTF?
We have rented movies from RedBox for years - there have been times when we rented 2 or more movies every week. When a movie doesn't work or the kiosk is broke and won't allow us to return the movie, RedBox has always been very professional and empathetic; they always offered some type of compensation for our troubles. If you have a problem with RedBox, you really need to just call them - they are very helpful.
Wrong RedBox. We always simply rented directly from the Kiosk (walked up to it, chose the movie, swiped card, grabbed movie, walked away) and returned it well before 9 PM the next day and still got double-charged. My wife got so fed up when she kept seeing the double-charge we said screw it and stopped using RedBox. Fix the bug or you will continue to lose customers. Don't worry about us though, we went back to Netflix - no problems there.
Return time is 9pm, so there is nothing wrong with the return time, but perhaps there is something wrong with your method of renting. Are you reserving online, then picking up the next day, and then returning the next day? That's two days ...
Bullcrap RedBox Care - We have been double-charged for every dvd we have rented from the kiosk since we started trying your service (about 5 DVDs), despite returning it the next day before noon! We figured it would work itself out or it was a glitch but NOPE, obviously a major SCAM. Forget hassling with you scam artists you lost a customer - back to NETFLIX!
Hi there, we're sorry if you feel that way. The website does display the message that your reservation begins as soon as you click checkout. Please call us at 866-REDBOX-3 or email us to questions@redbox.com and we'll give you a one-time courtesy credit.
Redbox SCAM RIPOFF. They charge your credit card the instant you reserve online! It doesn't matter that it's midnight and the store's closed and you don't pick up your movie until the next day. I contacted customer service 4x now to no care or resolution from them! Redbox SUCKS! BOYCOTT these ### taking advantage of customers!

Another example of the original poster's complaint is the recently released movie Trouble in the Heights. I used my Redbox app to locate a copy and every single copy from Lake Charles, La to New Orleans, La ( almost 200 miles from west to east) is unavailable. Or like some of the opposing posts claim - is checked out by other renters. Dang, that's one popular movie, eh? Another example last year was Modus Operandi. Why list a movie as released and at Redbox when it's in fact not true? Laziness of Redbox I suppose. Extremely aggravating!
Did any of you consider reserving the movies or games you want? That way they are there for you when you go pick up the movies or games you are renting.
Looks like whythelongfaces is having a meltdown.
Do I really expect you to believe a popular movie is out of stock immediately? Yes I do. Harry Potter sold out at every Walmart in my town during all 3 premiers. In less than 30 minutes. So stop whining and get in line.
Me, get a life? YOU are the one on the internet crying because a movie is rented out. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW?
In the future I would suggest netflicks. They usually have everything.
The title is now available means the movie has been added to the Red Box library, NOT that no one has rented it and if you go they guarantee it is there. Good grief. Listen real close. IT WAS RENTED BEFORE YOU GOT THERE. SOMEONE GOT IT BEFORE YOU DID. YOU MISSED OUT. YOU HAVE TO WAIT YOUR TURN. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO RENTS FROM RED BOX OR GETS THOSE UPDATE EMAILS.
Now do you get it? Like I said, stupid complaint.
You were not the only one who gets the emails advertising movies. Someone rented it before you did. Why is this a complaint?
