My husband booked out trip and turned down travel insurance because I'm covered. He didn't realize he was also turning down cancelation insurance. Not 24 hours later and they won't let us get it

RedTag - Hotel booking
Good evening,
I was planning a trip to Niagara however my partner came down with shingles. I had booked a hotel with RedTag and my confirmation email said I couldn't cancel between September 8-11th. I called the Sheridan on September 7th to cancel and they advised to reach out to RedTag. I emailed RedTag to let them know I needed to cancel and I received an email back saying someone would reach out the next day. I did not receive a call. I called and waited on the phone for 50 minutes only to be told my file was currently open and the employee couldn't access my file and to call back. I indicated I waited quite some time so reach the employee and he said he would call be back. He did not. I sent a follow up email and was told I did not cancel in time and would be getting a refund. However, I reached out before September 8th and did not receive a timely response. I was told the office closed at 5pm and as such did not reach the deadline. The confirmation email did not have any indication of time. I reached out the day before the deadline provided to me. I was then told I basically had to cancel my room in order to see if I would even get a refund and if the supplier would waive the fee. The supplier apparently would not. I then reached out to the Sheridan and they had indicated they would be willing to waive the fee. RedTag is still claiming they are waiting on the supplier for a response to see if they will waive the fee. It has been 11 days since the cancellation. I feel RedTag misled me by not providing a time frame and was happy to cancel my room and take my money. I feel I have not received the proper service and I want my refunded money back.

I book a airtransat cuba vacation in jun 2019. Airtransat has a early booking promotion which redtag stated it was unavailable. I explained to them that I spoke with airtransat just 20min earlier and they said it was. They couldn't do any changes to my booking since I booked through the online redtag booking agency. Redtag just stole money from me by not honouring the early booking promotion. Do not book with redtag!

We were so excited to book a cash ticket flight through redtag.ca that coincided with my airmiles ticket. This morning we saw an email sent yesterday afternoon to my husband indicating that I needed to send an email and my phone number to confirm the use of my credit card. I did so early this morning, and then followed up with redtag to ensure that they received the email and to confirm my husbands ticket. It came as a shock, when the agent told me that his booking was cancelled because we did not reply to the ticket before midnight. Even if we had seen the email yesterday afternoon, there was no text on the email anywhere to indicate that we needed to respond before midnight, so that the ticket would not be cancelled. The agent did not try to help in anyway and simply suggested I go back to the website and rebook the ticket. When I did so, the ticket prices jumped more than two hundred dollars. When I mentioned this fact, the agent returned over and over again to the fact that we needed to reply to the email before midnight. Again, there was no information on the email from your company to indicate that the reply needed to occur before midnight and that the booking would be cancelled. Dealing with REDTAG.CA has been a nightmare. Book your cash tickets directly through Airmiles or through WestJet.
false representation and not complying with agreed requests
Don't ever use redtag complete scam! Worse customer service was told one thing and they do another! Now i'm out 1300.00 dollar all because of their own stupidity... They do not care and do not work with you on fair resolutions.. I was promised 50 % refund and they never completed the process at their end so when I reached out I was told after showing email with the representatives words on the refund! The other rep cancelled my entire trip with nothing in return!
It's revolting! Never been so disgusted they wouldn't work with us at all - no name change on tickets - no dates changed even offered to pay difference anything to allow us to go on our trip we planned months ago! Nothing but a kick in the face all because of life and certain circumstances that won't allow us to go on the dates originally picked!

One of the working staff asked me loudly and nervously to put my daughter in the shopping car I didn't believe that he talk to customer in this way so he say it again making my daughter scared and start craying I respond no she don't want to he told me no put her in the car look how many things you back put her in the car don't make her walking I responded whay isn't take child her not allowed then I asked for his name his lair telling me wrong name then I asked for the manager he keeps waiting then I told where is he i'm not waiting for the day then point to the cashier and tell me he is the manager of the branch and when I asked him is he the manager he confused then told me yes and left me and go away I told him I want to make complaint to him he movied again then told me there's no complaint her go to another branch or call customer service I doubt that he is the manager and go out without complete my shopping after two hours I back and I asked the doorman for the manager and he wasn't the cashier the employee lairs that was avery bad behavior and the manager (mr. Ibraz) told me to continue shopping and he is sorry for that behavior and he go to talk for the employees.
But I wanted official complaints it's unacceptable behavior please take an action

Booked a vacation for 3 people to Las Vegas, final amount to be charged to our credit card was displayed, we proceeded to put in our credit card information, and click the submit button, it then brought us to the confirmation page where it then said IT CHARGED OVER $500 MORE THAN it said where i input my credit card information.
We immediately contract redtag, calling on two different phones to both be on hold for longer than 20 minutes! In the meantime an email with screenshots were sent to them. We have been playing phone tag for three days now and all they are saying is that we have an option to pay $250 / person to cancel and re-book for another price.
The amount that i the cardholder agreed to be charged to my credit card is the amount that should have been charged to my credit card. They have done absolutely nothing about this, will NEVER be booking with them again, they do not value their customers and their customer service and follow ups are awful. (This includes being on hold for over an hour!)
Price drop assurance. False advertising.
This is my second booking with redtag. Ca.
Clearly on their website says. Price drop assurance. But last year they did not compensate me for the price dropped because the price dropped was less than 10 days prior to the vacation time. Again this year when I booked my vacation with them I asked about this price drop assurance and they did confirm it and still they do have it on their website but my vacation package dropped $300/each per person and was already 3 weeks prior to my vacation and when I complained to terry lowe who did the booking, he said will ask my manager brian pereira to call you back and since then I sent 2 more emails and still no respond from any of them. Clearly shows that their advertising is a false advertising.
Vacation
I am writing this e-mail to express my extreme disappointment with the Red Tags agent I spoke to on January, 26-2017 whose name was Frances( booking number [protected]).
I was given clearly false information and at this point I would like this matter dealt with immediately and would insist that I receive my money back promptly.
I had called this agent to inquire about the pricing for an all-inclusive vacation to Riu Palace in Mexico on February 10-18 from Vancouver, B.C. I was told that I could purchase the tickets immediately as the purchase would include the Sunwing Price- Drop Money Back Guarantee, which would cover ANY changes to price up until the day of the trip. I had paid 1875 per ticket (I bought two tickets) and on Thursday, February 2nd, the price for this trip went down to $1715 per ticket. I tried to file a claim with Sun Wings to receive the difference in the amount but was told that Sun Wings cannot provide this as their Money Back Policy only extends to two weeks before the departure date. This was definitely NOT what I was told by this agent, and the only reason I bought the tickets at that time without waiting for the price to go down was because I was told that I could file for the money anytime before the trip. This information was not correct and I believe was told to me in order to make a sale and get me to buy the tickets at that time rather than later on. All this information can be confirmed by listening to a recording between myself and the agent where I was clearly told that I could receive a price adjustment anytime before the trip, not two weeks beforehand.
I certainly do not appreciate being lied to and feel that this is very unprofessional
Booking agent
I just recently purchased from this company; Be AWARE! They will seem as though they are helping you however I was manipulated into cancelling a flight with one company to just have them book me with a new company. This was after they sent me flight alternatives, one being that I would be landing at my destination with two small kids at 1am and the other would have had me miss my connecting flight by an hour. I know this because I phoned the airline to check on these flights. Red Tag insisted that these flights where the only flights left, however when I asked the flight company this was untrue, they had other flights available.
Red Tag requested for a refund on my behalf without my consent, put me on a new flight that was booked with a new company and than proceeded to charge me a refund fee that I was unaware of. These charges were never discussed with me over the phone or in the many e-mails sent back and forth.
Cuba vacation
In march 2016 we booked a vacation to Cuba through REDTAG. During the holiday found out we did not have the accommodations we thought we had paid for. We then had to pay MORE money to the resort to get what we thought we had booked through REDTAG. I called AND emailed DURING our vacation after having DAYS and sleepless nights during our holiday ruined to get help for us. They wiped their hands of us saying that is what we had booked and would not even SLIGHTLY compensate us for any of our cost. PLEASE do not use REDTAG for your vacation planning. The representatives are on a power trip and once they have your money they don't give a CRAP about you. They can find an excuse to not give you one cent back. I hope no one experiences the stress that I did in my last "expensive" unhappy vacation that we booked with REDTAG . NEVER AGAIN will I book anything through REDTAG.
Car rental
I just got back from Maui where I had rented a car through Red Tag Travel. They quoted me a price and I pre-paid for the car rental. When I get to Maui and the Avis car rental centre, I was informed that I owed an additional "31%" for non packaged items fee(s) ! I have literally rented dozens and dozens of cars over the years and have Never had additional fee's of 31% ! When I got back home I phoned Red Tag to complain, they told me that Everything was outlined in the "rental does not include" section! That's just a bunch of B.S. It is very "Misleading" and they just use that section to get out of Any issues! They pretend to have the Best prices, but in reality the prices are Not at All what they would have you believe. I will NEVER use Red Tag Travel EVER again!

Ordered Camera last July. Purchased a Nikon D750 for around $1, 500. Lately, I noticed the autofocus wasn't working properly. Took it to a local shop and they verified that was indeed the case. I bought ticket from the website www.redtag.ca. I paid for the ticket and got it, but only after that I noticed that this company took some sum from me. I tried to remember for what they took it, but I couldn’t. After that I understood that they simply took money for their services, but I didn’t get for what specially. So I was upset with that, and I wanted to warn other customers about it. Be aware and post comments about your experience with them.
I got back from Maui where I had rented a car through Red Tag.ca. They quoted me a price and I pre-paid for the car rental. "Surprisingly" the week later, i got another bill for $110 CAD on top of the price i paid in advanced. It is about an additional "31%" for additional fee(s) ! I have rented cars from Expedia and hotwire before and this is the first time I had this problem. So renters be aware. I will NEVER use Red Tag Travel EVER again!
