2021 lx-6 battery tray port side top battery fell off.
On our maiden voyage 02/27/21 when we reached our intended destination we opened the storage compartment on the Port Side Main Cockpit seating area only to find the Battery was toppled over on its side . After assessing how to secure the battery from a potential fire hazard and explosion we returned to port. On Monday I took the boat to the dealership for this problem and several others that will be mentioned later depending on the outcome of those repairs. While at the dealership I asked specifically whose responsibility is to secure that battery and what is the safety design to keep it from falling off the shelf it is mounted on. No answer was provided at that time. I then contacted Customer service at Regal directly on Monday the 1st of March and received a reply that Engineering had not gotten a response to them. I then contacted Wednesday yet again another representative from Regal customer service to which that response is also in line with Engineering not getting back to them as well. I cannot conceive how a manufacturer such as Regal with Engineers and designers on call cannot have a response. Is it a design flaw where no restraint has been designed into the battery tray and I am the first to realize it. In all fairness there is a barrier that is placed in front of both batteries that using pressure pins holds itself in place so that the storage compartment is separated from the batteries. See Photos. These pressure pins release with the slightest amount of force so that the user can access the batteries if needed. However there is nothing holding the top battery from falling over as mine did.
Desired outcome: An official response as to how the top battery on the Port Side of the LX-6 is designed to remain in place.
Regal fuel tank
I bought a 3880 Regal boat from the factory in July 2006. Three weeks ago I took it to Marathon Key for the regular maintenance at Sundance Marine ( an authorized Regal dealer). During the work they found 25 gallons of diesel in a compartment named the bilge. They don't know were the fuel came from and they proceeded to search in the fuel tank compartment...

Got a detailed quote for a new Regal boat then ordered the boat from Pier 57. What a mistake to buy from these crooks! When we drove to pickup the boat, none of the options we had ordered were on the trailer. I guess they were hoping we wouldn't notice. Took the boat for a test drive and it overheated before getting up to speed. They hadn't put it together right. We can forget about proper break-in! Waited months for the engine and trailer to be fixed/reordered. When delivered the trailer was still missing options. Dealership would never make good on all the options that were part of the detailed quote. None of the bolts on the trailer were tightened causing a near accident with the boat nearly going forward all the way to the truck bed. Many of the screws in the boat were missing. On the first test drive one of the screws holding the tower fell out into the water. And the dealer wants us to pay for that too! The salesperson Frankie now wants a thank you. Not what you would expect out of a $50,000 purchase. Big hassel, don't buy from these people!

Boat was put in the water with customers for test ride. The impeller was clogged and did not allow water flow. Totally unforeseeable but was fixed. Trailer was delivered from manufacturer without breakaway tongue and mounted straps. The trailer company no longer offers the mounted straps as they were not considered secure enough for the boat. I bought the customers 4 additional straps. The trailer manufacturer paid for the breakaway tongue and customer was happy with trailer when delivered. I filed a warranty claim with Regal that was denied for the fastener for the tower. It is considered an adjustment and not a malfunction. I paid for the fastener.
I never expected a thank you from the customer. I can assure anyone reading this that the WHOLE story is NOT depicted in the above complaint. It was not the smoothest boat delivery that I have ever been involved with but I went beyond normal expectations to make it right. 100-plus boats sold this year... ONE complaint! I stand by my track record.
