Broken trash can,rude service
I an complaining about a driver situation that occured on Wednesday aory 28, 2021. The driver ran over my trash can, broke wheel, and left it in the curbside. The can us dented can't be used. I complained to the cityif Brownsville Texas and was told that it would take 4-6 weeks to replace. I was to told to contact republic's supervisor, hector Rodriguez but his Secretary refused to let me speak to him, her bane us Jessica Campos was very rude, said there was nothing but wait for new trash can. What type of service is this! Refusing me to talk to supervisor, I need the trash can asap. Also, driver needs to be checked for his driving, . He almost wrecked a car parked on curb in front of house. He was driving very wreck less. Your company needs to provide better customer service to your customers. Amelia Garcia

The garbage collector drive has left the empty garbage container flat on its side across the sidewalk blocking the driveway. I have been with Republic Service for several years and in that time frame I spent a lot of time arguing back and forth about my bill as the inflation of the bill was ridiculous! I started off paying $34.00 every 3 months to it hiking up to $65.00 without justifiable reasons! I cancelled service and was told that I will have to pay for 30 days of service and a container removal fee because I called to cancel the 1st day of my new billing cycle. I plan to fight through the Better Business Bureau as I am not paying for 30 days of service that I did not receive or the removal of a container that belong to your organization! Doesn't make sense that I will pay you to remove YOUR property off my property!
Desired outcome: Cancel my service without charging me for services that I did not receive and eliminate the container removal fee!

After 7 years of being a loyal customer they raised my bill $25 without warning. I asked for a reduction due to pandemic times are tough and they said no. I recommend NOT going with this company unless you want $25 price increases every 3 months. Here is what they said: I understand your concern with this price increase. We are committed to providing high-quality services to our valued customers at a competitive price through operations that are safe, responsible, and sustainable. However, operational costs, rising labor costs, insurance costs, and federal and state regulatory requirements have raised the overall cost of doing business.
Your increase of 70¢ per week will allow Republic Services to remain committed to providing you with the same high-quality service you are accustomed to receiving.

I discontinued my services with Republic and was charged $80.00 to pick up the cans. I called customer services in regards to this as to when I contacted them to discontinue my service this was never mentioned. They removed 30.00 for not disclosing this. I'm still being asked to pay 48.12 which is a very high fee. I would of returned the cans if I knew you were going to charge me this exorbitant fee. What can be done to reduce this bill?

Constantly missed pick ups
I moved in November. You have missed my recyclables in November and I had to wait an extra week. Now my last pick up was January 28. You missed February 4th and February 11th. I have called over 8 times, 4 online requests and up until last Thursday I kept being told either we will be out today or we are coming tomorrow (depending what time I called). Now I call today (Monday) and get told we are not coming until Thursday. So I am paying for a service that I have not received in 3 weeks while others in the area say maybe a day, two day top delay. This is absurd!
Desired outcome: a PICKUP!!!! Like I am paying for before my normal day and then on my scheduled day
Replacement can
This is the third time we called to have our can replaced. The wheels fall off as you pull the can. The first time we called it never was done. I blamed myself. 2nd time we called we watched on our ring camera they can with replacement can before trash was picked up left never came back. 3rd time I watched them drive by turn around at the culdesac and speed by. I have called customer service. They try to help. I have no problem with them. They try to help. Feel bad they have to hear me complaining. Unacceptable they speed right by never change can our. Very hard to take cans to and from the house with wheels falling off. What does it take to get the trash can replaced? These workers are terrible.

Price increases / cancellation policy
Customer beware! This company raises their prices 1-2x per year. Literally any other trash company will be cheaper! I used them for their recycling, but very little is being recycled nowadays due to low commodity prices and China not accepting it. When you go to cancel, they will charge you for an extra month of service. They will also charge you $50 PER container when you cancel. They'll also charge $10 for fuel to pick up your containers when you cancel! Save yourself some money, use any other company!

I hired Republic for trash service. Paid the initial fee to get started. They brought out a cart. Within two weeks they picked up my cart. When I called to get it returned, I was told they didn't know why it was picked up but would return it within the next week, missing my pickup. At one time a customer service agent smarted off and told me to call the cops. So I cancelled the service, hired a new trash company, within a week of that Republic casually stopped by with a cart. I have requested multiple times for my refund and cannot get anyone outside of customer service saying its the system or just rude comments.

Accident with your property in hwy
On November 25, 2020 I was driving home from work in my brand new car when it was getting dark as I went around curve one of ur trash bins was standing in middle of highway with oncoming traffic I couldn't swerve so I hit it.
People stopped to make sure I was ok and I have several statements from them how ur bin was n the very middle of hwy... I called police was given an incident report its been over a month when I finally heard back from claims and I needed an occurrence # well they gave me a # to contact "donna" and she flat out told me that y'all r not responsible even though I have statements and police report also photos also the customer whom the can belongs to said he's on his 4th r 5th can hes calls republic often about throwing his can in hwy mam I need someone to reach out to me asap I have several photos and police report

Using corporate policy as an excuse to not give now employee raises
I was really disappointed to find out that such a large corporation is only looking after themself and not their employees. Here is my finding. I had interviewed a couple of drivers from Winston Salem and Greensboro to get their respective about the company and how they work. Came to find out that this company has a very poor rating among their drivers who are the essence of this business. The driver who is the most essential to this business is not getting raises for over 3 to 4 years or even longer since most of them just take this issue lying down and management at the location claim that it is corporate policy not give out raises if an accident occurs that could or could not have been the driver fault. I have come to the conclusion that if this is a corporate policy it should be displayed at all job sites and all drivers should have signed such a paper. Most of the drivers that I had interview disclose to me that they have never seen nor sign such paperwork. If it, not corporate policy then you need to get rid of all those managers that are using this for their benefits. In order words, they get the raises because his/her numbers were met, but at the expense of employee that work early hours to get this job done and who has to support a family. You are hiring outside management to run these locations without waste management experiences. Hire within, your best management would be those who know and have the experience running the routes. Trash collection
Republic Services has been awful to deal with. They quote a low price and within 2 billing cycles they bump the rates significantly. This has happened to me numerous times. Poor customer service people that can't give specific details and attitude throughout conversation. Horrible business practices and unethical billing.
Trash pick up
I have a few issues that I want to point out. I operate a commercial auto repair business in Walnut Creek California. On our regular schedule pickup Wednesday November 25th our trash dumpster was not picked up. We have 3 pickups per week both the trash dumpster and the recycle dumpster. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The other issue is the fellow that picks up the dumpster never returns the dumpster to its overhang after he pulls it out but the other fellow that empties the recycle bin always returns it to the overhang. I have called the local number (925) 687-4711 and spoke to someone and was told they would have the route supervisor Jose Martinez call me back but its been over a week and he has never called me. I have then called back several times and at one point I was on hold for over 60 minutes and nobody ever answered. I ended up calling the Headquarters in Arizona Last week December 3rd and spoke to a representative and was told they would pass along the message to the route supervisor but as of today December 7th no one has contacted me. We will need a credit for that one day the trash that was not picked up and I am requesting the trash bin be returned every time to its overhang. There is no reason other than someone be lazy that this does not occur. BTW anytime our trash has one plastic bag over the top of the dumpster we get charged $40.00 which I think is a ripoff but I always pay that invoice in full. Billed for discontinued service
I am one of the Monetta SC area residents whose collection service was abruptly stopped without notice; the rollcarts were suddenly removed. We were informed by our Town Hall personnel that we would need to arrange for alternate service on our own. The alternate service has been very satisfactory.
BUT Republic who took over Powell Trash Service's routes is still sending bills and collection notices to many of the abandoned customers. This is unreasonable and must cease. We have contacted Monetta City Hall and were informed that they called you about this problem which is still not resolved.
I refuse to pay for nonexistent service and am past tolerating these damn phony bills generated by your sloppy record keeping.

In my opinion, Republic Services has the WORST Customer Support service that I have ever experienced. My recycle bin was not picked up on Monday, Oct. 26th. I called twice on Monday and was told to leave my bin out on the curb and that the truck would come by to pick it up. Didn't happen. I called again on Tuesday, told the same thing and no truck came by. Called again on Wednesday and told the same thing. No truck came by. On Thursday I asked to speak to a supervisor. Later in the day a supervisor called from the local hauler and was asked to leave it out AGAIN.
In my opinion, all previous calls went unprocessed. I called again on Nov. 2nd and no one answered a call and no CHAT rep responded either.
This company needs to train and educate their Customer Service representatives. Disgusting Customer Service.
Trash service
Republic Services had been our trash provider for years. The past few years their customer service has went down hill. I'm not sure if the ownership changed or what has happened. I have had to call several times due to missed pickups to be told it would be rescheduled then not come until the following week or that the driver did not pick up due to us having more than allowed when we only had the bin that was provided. They keep adding late fees when the bill was paid on time. I called and spoke with Marcus and Carol both of which advised that they did not see why a late fee had been added to begin with an was advised that late fee would be removed but hasn't. We had finally had enough and cancelled our service in June 2020. They are still billing me for late fees and now they have added another charge for picking up their own trash bin. When I cancelled the service I was told that their trash bin would be picked up 7/7 however it sat at the end of our driveway for weeks before they finally picked it up. It was eye sore not to mention a liability hazard that could have caused an accident. I had to keep calling and calling. I spoke with Marcs to cancel our service prior to the last renewal period ending July 2020 which I had already paid for giving them plenty of notice. I keep receiving harassing calls and bills threating to be turned over to collections. They also advised that they would add a early termination fee? We had been with this provider for years and had never signed any sort of a contract. This provider is a joke they have become undependable, over priced and flat out lie about what their customer service reps will do. If they had of taken care of their clients in the 1st place I would never have had to switch providers. I would not recommend Republic Service to anyone. They need to be avoided at all cost. I refuse to pay for fraudulent charges that they keep adding to our account. I have paid all that is owed to this provider. If you want to have terrible service this is the company for you. I've switched providers and will never go back to this provider. I would have given a 0 star rating however you have to give at least one star to file the complaint.
Used Republic for several years with no complaints This Aug they started to miss pick-ups and it got worst in the next months. some time no pickup for 2 to 3 weeks. Always called, was always told they would be out the next day. Never happened! Decide I had enough and changed to another service in Nov. It took them several week to pick-up there empty containers. Now in Jan. I receive a bill for 62.67. They say its the charge for picking up the containers. This is a total rip off. Never had a trash service do such a thing. You better believe I will never-never used them or advise anyone to use them.
