ResellerRatings Can't post a review

I have placed a long review about my recent online shopping experience on ResellerRatings website. It took me a lot of time to write it. So I posted my review and later received a message stating my review was deleted!
Asked customer support why but they did not reply.
So I decided to try again and posted the same review and it was erased!
I have no idea what is going on but I would like to know the reason why can't I post anything!

ResellerRatings Extortion

Simple extortion scam, reseller ratings posts bad reviews of companies and in order for the company to rebut these claims or contact the supposed customers (some of which might be real, many of which are not) is to pay a monthly fee. If you do pay their monthly fee, reseller ratings will post good reviews for your company until you stop paying, at which point all good reviews disappear. All this scam company does is accept money for good reviews.

There is nothing honest or ethical about this # company.

Allows bogus and false reviews to be posted about Businesses by people that have never personally had a transaction with that Business. If the business slammed wants to reply or give facts to a false review, Reseller Ratings wants them to pay $100 a month for this "benefit".

ResellerRatings.com is an unethical company, plain and simple. You either have to pay hundreds of dollars for them to address repeated bad reviews (exact same bad review posted multiple times), or you have no choice but to leave them there, even when the fake reviews clearly go against their stated policies (no duplicates allowed, yeah, right). It's a joke of a review site, much worse than Yelp, and I wouldn't recommend for anyone to take their reviews seriously.

ResellerRatings Impossible to post bad review

I recently joined the website www.resellerratings.com and started to post my reviews about the companies. I posted negative review, but these jerks deleted it and blocked my access to profile. I tried to restore it for several times, but nothing. The moderators also didn’t help, ‘coz they simply ignored me and that’s all. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Can you provide any good piece of advice?

ResellerRatings Unlawful Business Extortion

This company is engaged in organized crime and extortion of businesses. Fact is, they allow totally fake reviews from people who have not purchased anything or been verified as customers. Ex employees, anyone mad at a company can leave a negative review. They then charge merchants around $200 per month for the privilege to counter a bad review or collect good ones. They also permit ONLY BAD REVIEWS to show up on Google Paid search results. I would be interested in a class action law suit against Google and Reseller ratings.com if anyone else wants to get one going. Google should be ashamed to be partnered with this company and we should take resellerratings.com to court! They are a total SCAM.

ResellerRatings Allowing Fake Reviews for Money

About to buy from a web store we had never heard of before, we Googled the store and ended up on ResellerRatings.com. We trusted ResellerRatings' 4.5+ star rating of this store, and made the decision to purchase from this store because of this amazingly high rating. A week later, we found out that the store had sold us a defective product, and refused any support or refund. We Googled the store again, and this was when we realized that every other review/rating/complaint site on the web could have warned us about this retailer - the reviews on ResellerRatings were completely inconsistent with hundreds of other reviews on other sites. Then, we decided to do some more investigation, and found National chain stores which have 5 star ratings elsewhere, to have one star on ResellerRatings. After our poor experience and much investigation, we believe that ResellerRatings is not properly policing or monitoring their reviews, and allowing resellers to modify their own ratings in exchange for payment.

Here are two examples:

Example one: Brickhouse Security - ripped my family off and laughed at us when we asked for a refund
ResellerRatings: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/BrickHouse_Security
What we found elsewhere after being ripped off: /link removed/ http://www.amazon.com/Locator-Brickhouse-Security-Distance-Featured/product-reviews/B001GB5Q88, http://brickhouse-security-reviews.measuredup.com/3877, /link removed/ http://uaddit.com/discussions/showthread.php?t=7102, http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/brickhouse-security-c146216.html,

Example two: Victoria's Secret - great ratings elsewhere, always a great experience for my wife and her friends online and in the stores
ResellerRatings: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Victoria_s_Secret
Elsewhere: https://www.google.com/products/seller?zmi=victoriassecret.com, http://venturebeat.com/2013/02/12/amazon-apple-and-yes-victorias-secret-dominate-the-mobile-shopping-satisfaction-ratings/

Examples like these two make it easy to see how ResellerRatings is either allowing, or participating in, the deception of consumers all over the world. I will be speaking to attorneys about organizing a class-action lawsuit.

For many years I was a fan of ResellerRatings. Recently, though, things seem to have changed. I say this after seeing an add for a camera on ajrcichies.com that was over $100 less than anywhere else, with only 32minutes left for me to buy. Immediately suspicious, I went to my "trusty" ResellerRatings, figuring they would tell me AJRichie's was a scam. But no, they are an "elite member" with an 8.4 out of 10 rating. This despite numerous 1 star reviews on RR with hundreds of obviously bogus reviews to bolster the rating. A search of other sites such as yelp, sitejabber & scambook all show universally negative reviews of AJRichies. It's sad, but I can only conclude RR has sold out. A quick look at Wikipedia tells me RR was bought by "Answers" in August 2012. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if things went downhill sometime after the acquisition.

The allegations that you have made here are not true. Brickhouse Security is not a subscriber to RR. They do not pay any money for any services whatsoever.

Merchants cannot pay to alter ratings, and cannot pay to remove reviews. For 15 years, we have been a consumer ally, ensuring that reviews posted to our site by consumers are legitimate. We provide store ratings data to help the Attorney General of New York, Google, and Bing:
http://www.resellerratings.com/trust-and-ethics

When merchants subscribe to our site, they do so for two primary reasons: 1) To survey their customers post-purchase. 1 week post-purchase, we email actual customers who have made a purchase, asking for a review. 2) To contact reviewers to resolve issues that may occur post purchase.

In regards to ratings at our site being higher or lower than other sites, and in regards to a high rated store still leading to a bad experience, neither of these is an indication of wrongdoing. Allow me to explain. A store rating of 4.5 stars out of 5, means that 90% of the time, the store satisfies customers. 10% of the time, the store fails. If 1, 000 customers made a purchase, 900 would be happy, and 100 would not be. This is simple math. A 4.5 star rating is not a guarantee that you'll have a great experience: it's a 90% chance that you will.

As for other sites, I can't speak to those, but I can tell you that most sites out there are complaint engines (like Complaints Board). Sites that only allow complaints and do not allow priase, will have nothing but complaints, inherently. RR seeks reviews, positive, negative, and neutral. Consumers visit our site directly to write reviews, or they visit our site via a post-purchase (1 week after sale) survey to write reviews. 80% of our 1.5M reviews are positive, and we do not alter or influence this in any way.

If you base your opinion about online retailers or other brands solely upon complaints sites (Compalints board, [redacted], Pissedconsumer, BBB), then your view of the world would be that there are no brands to trust at all. By this logic, any company that has positive reviews anywhere must be fake reviews; that logic is not valid or fair to the many hardworking well respected retailers and brands out there. If you're looking for bad ratings, you can find them about every brand in existence. Complaint sites are useless, then, for helping you decide if a merchant or a brand is trustworthy. According to complaint sites, no brand is trusted:

ResellerRatings Extortion

Reseller ratings is a scam. They do not allow you to contact posters of bad ratings unless you pay them exorbitant fees to participate in their program. Furthermore, to keep you paying, they will remove all of your positive, so-called non-organic reviews once you cancel.

unethical practices in business!
As a merchant you have to pay and pay just to responds to the customer review. ( The review is most of the time not genuine )
I do not get it why a third party like reseller rating can earn money out of your company reputation ? in normal case if I want to use another company brand name, I will need to pay a fee just to use it but for reseller rating they are making money out of you for noting they have done .. I seriously don't get it here !

ResellerRatings Bad Business/Blackmail

These guys are just bad business. Many merchants supported them paying $29 a month for years while building their business by sending them all our customers and traffic. We gained reviews from clients, building a decent customer review base, and paid $29 a month for the privilege. Then they decided to raise their prices from $29 to $199 month for no reason or return. An extortionate increase, and it is exactly that. They have now decided to remove all reviews merchants like myself have received since I stopped paying for their service as they state they are 'solicited' This has removed the most recent reviews and now the last ones showing are over a year old. They are basically blackmailers and I for one will never give them another penny of my money as who knows what scheme they will come up with next while holding my hard earned reviews hostage. I suggest you do the same.

I can't edit and wanted to add that even though solicited reviews are now not allowed by some form of their user agreement/terms and conditions they will gladly reinstate the 'solicited' reviews if we pay them $199 month. Bad, bad, bad business practices.

ResellerRatings They suddenly raised my price WITHOUT advising us

HOW come a company with this so bad integrity can still be in business and used by google ? HOW can we stop that ?

I am also a merchant, signed up for 29$ and got charged, after 3 months, 199$ ... and it took me a few month to understand what happen. There was NO way i would accept a 199$ bill ... but it was too late for VISA to make a Chargeback claim.
They suddenly raised my price WITHOUT advising us ! ... They are scammers ... what else can we say ?

ResellerRatings Greedy business practices

I provide customer follow ups for a dozen or so companies. As part of our reaching out to customers used to ask them to log on to resellerratings.com and leave a review. Then resellerratings.com demanded we stop soliciting reviews to their site unless we join their Merchant Member program. They said that unless we joined the program the reviews generated may be delisted.

Now tell me people, what says, "you don't pay, you don't play" better than this? I have now began asking my clients' customers to leave reviews on Trustpilot. I hope Trustpilot has enough decency not to let greed get in the way and refrain from adopting the same extortion practices resellerratings.com is adopting.

I don't know if this is class actionable, but ResellerRatings.com has a policy of raising prices by 150% on existing customers only AFTER they have reached a threshold of reviews. Not certain if it is total reviews or reviews/months.

Their site on page https://www.resellerratings.com/merchant-member-pricing#2 indicates "a dynamic system for determining tier"

We've been a customer for years and our growth has been steady, however a 150% raise is rediculous and unwarrented. What possible data points could switch so drastically that it would incur a fee raise of that magnitude.

Warning, you may find yourself getting Ripped Off by ResellerRatings.com. Merchant Beware.

I created a trial merchant account to test their service. Their rules said very clear that I can delete my account with no obligation if I didn't want to buy a subscription. They asked me anyway for my card details just in case I want to buy a subscription. I gave them my card details and I tested their site just for 2 hours. I didn't collect any reviews, I just wanted to check something in their interface to see if it suited my purpose. This didn't happen so I wanted to delete my account but I didn't have this option. I thought maybe they will ask me at the end of the trial if I want to buy a subscription and I thought I would tell them at that point I'm not interested.

But 30 days later they took 99$ from my card and a few hours later when I asked them for a full refund because I didn't use and didn't intend to use their site they said "you were suppose to delete your account if you didn't want to be billed". I checked again my account thinking I missed the delete or suspend account option but guess what: there is no option available to delete or suspend your account. Basically you try their site but you are forced to pay at least 1 month of subscription. I already made a charge back request at my bank, now I'm waiting for the result. Of course, I canceled that card to prevent them from steeling another 99$.

Shame on you for deceiving and steeling!

ResellerRatings On the merchant side this site is absolutely a nightmare

On the merchant side this site is absolutely a nightmare. The technology is horrible. They do not verify reviews, so, if a competitor, ex employee or general troublemaker wants to leave negative reviews they DO NOT phone or email the reviewer asking for proof of a transaction. Since Google has decided for some odd reason to index these reviews, this can severely impact your business if false negatives are posted.
