TV DVD Mania dvds not working/copies

I order dvds from tv mania. Their website states that the dvds were new and when i received them, they were copies! Some of the copies were not clear and some of them did not work at all. I forwarded this information to my attoryney and they wrote a letter on my behalf. It pays to have Prepaid Legal Services because under Title 1, the letter was written at no additional cost to me and the membership for this service is only $35.95 a month. TV DVD Mania Fraud/Horrible Quility/No costumer response

We ordered the complete season of Friday The 13th the tv series. We ordered it as a gift to our mom and when she recieved the package she was unable to read the return address or anything for that matter because it was all in Chinese. She opened the videos up and when she tried to watch them the quality was absolutely horrible. The sound goes in and out and basically it looks like someone taped the series from some other source, wheather it was a tv I'm not sure, but the quality overall is unexceptable and horrible and someone needs to take care of this problem because clearly I am not the first person to complain. We wasted $80.00 and we are afraid that we will never see it again. Please someone take a serious look at this because I definately am and please do not order anything from this site. Either you will never recieve your order or the product you recieve is not going to be what you ordered and payed for and when you try to contact them which by the way the only way to contact them is a email address and they do not reply, I probably sent about 8 emails but stopped because I got so frusterated. Please no one buy from this site, they are thieves and liars and should be prosecuted.

TV DVD Mania rip off

i ordered the cosby show 25th anniversary edition for my father-in-law and everything seemed ok untill after i received email saying they had successfully processed my visa for the purchase price i never received the email saying it had been shipped and when i go online and look up my order it just says processed.i have sent 5email to them with no response i just found online several complaints people experiancing the same problem i am.i would strongly advise any one thinking of making a purchase from this company not to do so i dont believe i will ever see my product and unless i can get the charge reversed i will never see my money again.they are obviously just taking peoples hard earned money

i ordered a dobie gillis collection and it didnt arrive here in australia . you can contact the F B I site and register a complaint with them

I had the same problem until I used the secret phrase - chargeback to Master Card. Suddenly I had both email response AND 2 phone calls assuring me that my complete set of the Red Green series was on it's way and there was no need to lodge a complaint with Mastercard.
Well, I did receive it, and after two weeks of watching the 52 discs, I had 4 that were so flawed they were almost unwatchable, and jumps an glitches throughout. On top of that, the shows were obviously copied from broadcast, not from the original masters - leading me to suspect that they are pirated copies. The alternating CTV and PBS logo on the lower right as well as the Canadian "coming up next" bits over the credits were a giveaway!
Since the 6 week chargeback window had closed by the time I discovered the flaws, I have not been able to get any response from the company through email or the phone number I had saved on my caller ID (reached a recording asking me to leave my name and number and they'd call be back as quickly as possible, yeah, riiiiight) for the last several weeks.
Be very leery of dealing with this company.

TV DVD Mania FRAUD/BAD QUALITY/RIP OFF

*****DO NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE WEBSITE!*****
My mom ordered the "collector's edition" of Two Guys and A Girl for me for Christmas and never received the set. She then sent multiple e-mails wondering where the item was. They did reply with a ridiculus excuse and we finally received the dvds. The box was pretty much an old plastic VHS tape case with a computer-made cover which, by the way, was not even the same picture displayed on the site. The dvds are such a joke because they are in old plastic/cloth sleeves and the picture on the dvd is clearly made from a home computer. The dvd number is actually hand written on the top in ink. And you might as well go on YouTube.com to watch all of the shows because it's the same exact quality BUT FOR FREE! *****SUCH A JOKE! ******

I wish I knew about this wonderful site before buying from TV mania DVD! Get the word out that they are crooks and frauds. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

TV DVD Mania Never received

Ordered dvd boxed set on Nov.30th and never received item, it's now Dec.21st. I have sent repeated emails to the company asking if the product was shipped and only until I did a search, did I find out that this is a bogus, bootlegged dvd website. I have contacted my credit company and would NOT even consider buying anything from them.

I recently bought a series of DVDs for the television show "Early Edition." I received my DVDs much later than was promised and when I got them, the quality is horrible. The show was literally taped off of the PAX network and burned onto DVDs. The photos shown on the site were NOT what I recieved and the DVDs have horrible quality. They skip, blur, the sound goes up and down on its own, and they will not play on my Xbox or Playstation 2 even though the site said they would. They also play for about 5 minutes on my computers and my DVD player then freeze.

I contacted customer service and have yet to hear back.
Also, the DVDs came from China...where on the site it told you THAT, I have no idea. I searched all over and it is NOT there.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS HORRIBLE SITE.

DO NOT purchase anything from this website. The DVD's I ordered (TV series) came from CHINA and it was copied from American TV. TV channel logo is at the bottom of the screen- hello, copyright laws? The quality was poor- skipping DVDs, some did not play at all. Took 4 wks for the order to arrive (after Christmas) from China and my credit card was charged an international fee without my knowledge. And whatever you do, don't call [protected] (British Columbia, Canada) looking for any customer service- rude does not begin to describe "Franco" who is allegedly the manager. This phone number is also listed for TV Show Monster so appears they have more than 1 website under different names. Now I am stuck having to ship this junk back to China. I have contacted the BBB and my state's attorney general's office dept of consumer protection.

Please stay away from this internet scam. You will be ripped off. I ordered $100 worth of dvd series 5 months ago and still have not received them my credit card company has never heard of them and has marked them down as a fraudulent company running under a different names such as dvd monster. So please stay away as they will take your money off you and will not send you your order

Shocking! Purchased a DVD box set online. It did not arrive so I emailed and was told that it had been shipped so give it a few more days, which I did, then emailed again as it still did not arrive. Stopped receiving emails about a month ago... Still waiting for my order! DO NOT PURCHASE from these thieves!

these people are scammers, they promised international shipping to australia and the dvd set did not arrive . i sent lots of emails and got no reply . i contacted the F B I site and followed the internet fraud links . i think anyone who has been scamed by these dirt bags should contact them aswell

Owners of this site should be located and jailed - this site is a scam DVD's were a joke - some have commercials from TV stations in the USA. Do Not Order from this site - just checked and I could not get on the site.

ordered DVD set of all 7 series of malcolm in the middle as a Christmas Present on 02nd Dece 08. never received anything - e-mails not replied to - monies never refunded. Now 21st Jan 09 and discovered this thread!

Extremely shoddy packaging. Quality of DVD playback very poor. Episodes missing/duplicated. Contacted within 2 days - no response to refund request as outlined in website.

I too never recieved my order from this company. I have emailed several times. First response came back that it was shipped and they gave me a shipping number. After contacting the US post office, they informed me that my package never left CHINA (?). Six emails now are not being answered. The BBB informed me that w/o a mailing address for them there is nothing they can do. If anyone has this info (address) I would appriciate it. Thanks. Kelly

I got burned like everyone else.Ordered The Naked City box set and received about half of the eps.They were crappy tape dupes from china.As soon as I saw the Chinese label on the package, I knew it was going to be all downhill from there.After e-mailing back and forth; I finally got a partial 80$ refund.So I guess I was one of the lucky ones.If you've never ordered from a site before, please check them out.I sure wish I had. The problem is that they use different web sites.One is memorylanety.com. among others. Marty
