UHC Medical insurance mixup

On the middle of August 2016 i call UHC for need of transportation for my mom medical app't ONLY! C.S. Transfer me to Sales dept. . Offer me a plan with transportation prescription .vision, dental and other services. I explain sales lady that i was looking for transportation ONLY nothing else but she stated that to give transportation there were other services included as a bundle. I told her that I was Ok with my prescription plan that I didn't want their drug plan, she said it was all in the bundle of transportation.she stated for me not to worry that my mom had extra help with medicare. not to worry cause she didn't need to pay anything I said Ok. as long i get my mom transportation and for her Medicare stay the same ( straight medicare )it was ok with me I told her PLEASE don't touch her medicare for nothing !ON Friday 8/2/2016 My mom goes to see her primary Dr. and he did't see her cause her Ins.plan had been change to HMO Medicare Advantage plan. Her Dr. does not take this plan. Mom is 88 years and that Friday she pay $14.00 dollars for transportation to go to her primary Dr.But was not seen . Also sales lady didn't ask me what medications mom takes .I call UHC and they gave me a hard time transferring me to different dept and given me different phones num. to call. I was on the phone more then 7 hours trying to resolve this problem and no one help me.I request to speak to a Supervisor and they kept me on hold so long it was very depressing. I want to know who made this mistake. There is a recording from me where i said over n over don't change my mom medicare plan.Someone has to be responsible for this error. There is more to this story but my head is hurting to much to continue writing. All I ask is to listen to my recording. When I was talking to that sales lady she stated that my medicare will stay the same that drug coverage was the only thing that was going to change. My mom does not want to change her primary Dr. but now she will have to wait to see her Dr. til this Insurance plan goes back to straight medicare That will take a month. my mom has lots of health issues. Friday not seeing the Dr. made her very depress. Someone from UHC has to be responsible for these acts. I'ts not fare for my mom paying for UHC error. My Mom is a disable person with needs. I will file a complaint to ADA. Hope to hear from someone on this issue. Thank you.

UHC unethical behaviour

I Bidarshi Barua, member ID [protected], have taking Ambien generic for Insomnia. I am 66 years old disabled person with Diabetes type 2 and High Blood Pressure for about 21 years.
Suddenly without any information UHC stopped my refill on Ambien and I called them. UHC assured me of reconsideration and asked me to wait for 24 hours and accordingly I did.
After 3 days again I called and they said, my doctor was not communicating with UHC. They were waiting for my doctor's information about the prescription/refill. Also asked me to contact my doctor.
Accordingly I went to my doctor and discussed about.
My doctor said, he had a contact with UHC and denied my refill on Ambien.
In other word, UHC member service completely lied to me, and it was unexpected for a patient like me.
I humbly request you to kindly take over the matter and please help me to have Ambien, unless I will be in very bad condition.

UHC Lies, Fraud & Deceit

UHC tells their enrollees that it is "mandatory" per UHC's flyer and that UHC advantage plan members submit to an in-home visit for a physical/wellness exam and survey through its House Calls program. A flyer is sent to every member followed up with a high volume of phone calls. When you refuse to participate, the phone calls increase. The phone calls state it is "very imperative that you call UHC." When you call, thinking it is of high importance the customer service rep goes into a song and dance about House Calls. I called Medicare to clarify this "mandated" House Calls visit. Medicare states that no Medicare advantage plan member must submit to a home visit for a physical/wellness exam or answer any surveys. I have confronted UHC about this being mandatory and then they turn around and state it is "voluntary." I have had to block the phone numbers from UHC to get relief from UHC calling 2-3 times aweek or more. I found out that UHC House Calls are paid about $1, 000 per advantage plan member visit. UHC House Calls are gathering data on you that they share with a 3rd party. You are put into a database. UHC wants you to answer all your health history, family history, social history, assess your home, wants to know who lives there, wants to know all your prescriptions you take, etc. UHC states that House Calls is a survey related program. UHC will cheapen your private data by giving you a $15 WalMart card if your participate and answer all their questions while subjecting you to a so-called wellness/physical exam. I have had UHC only since the beginning of January 2016 and can't wait to disenroll when open enrollment comes. I have filed complaints with my state department of insurance and Medicare.

I make referrals for patients who need home health care. I have been trying to locate a home health agency that will work with a woman but I have had no luck in finding an agency that will accept UHC. I am told UHC reimbursement rate is so bad that they would lose money serving UHC patients.
