customer service from a so called manager named “erin” at 1836 e. ridge pike #112 royersford, pa. 19468 store!
I have been a stylist for almost 30 years, had always been a customer of the chain store, but was told I needed an email, my liscence, my Sally card and possibly blood from your so called manager "Erin!"
Not only did she have childish music blasting in the store, she also had no proffessional whatsoever!
All I wanted to purchase was two headbands, and a military brush for my father and she acted like I was buying alcohol!
I tried to stay calm, but she said that I must provide an email and I told her I never give out my email, but she said it was mandatory!
I have purchased products throughout the years there and never had quite an ordeal!
I will say most of the time the girls that work at the salon usually run my errands, but like I said it was a small gift for my father so I wanted to see it in person!
I don't think I want to return to your store or purchase anything again from Sally Beauty Supply and I will make sure I inform others because of this outlandish so called proffessional manager "ERIN!"
I feel I had to express myself to you for this incident because this is not how a customer should be treated!
Let alone a fellow stylist or proffessional!
hair extensions
I went into the retail store in Dundee and purchased a full head set of extensions which cost me £50+ (on sale from £63), I thought with it being from sallys they would be good quality and thick, instead of buying online from eBay. Yet when I got home, I opened the package and was very angry at how thin they were after the store showing me and telling me they were thick. eBay extensions are far thicker, and much cheaper!

Today I went to Sally's Beauty supply to purchase a bottle of gel nail polish. I was looking at a pink color and I opened it to make sure it was good. The color was not mixed and looked like red marble running through it. I shook it up and looked at it again but it would mix so I put it back. I picked another color, and opened it to make sure it was not like the other and dabbed a tiny bit on my thumb to check it. I have purched polish there that seem "runny" before and I'm not paying $10 or more for bad polish. The girl working there started walking from the back of the store and was speaking really loud saying, " we do not have testers here, I'm going to need you to give that to me". I was like what are you talking about? I'm buying this! She kept repeating that and she was extremely rude. I told here I could leave and not buy it. I told her that her attitude was uncalled for. She continues to be snide through out the transaction. I should have just left but I had waited an hour for the store to open just to get some polish. I told her that I dabbed a tiny amount on my nail, and I'm not going to paint my entire nail with something that doesn't dry. She said, "it doesn't dry, you need a uv light" I said yes I know. That girl has no business treating customers that way. I eventually asked for the managers name but I didn't call back to talk to her because it's probably pointless. I doubt this is the first time she has acted in this manner. Attached is the receipt of the date an time to establish the name of the individual. Not sure if it matters, I just know I will not be returning to that store.
Side note: I have been shopping there for a long time. A couple years ago I spent 117.00 there and the cashier somehow messed up the transaction so bad that she ended up not actually charging my card. Later that evening, I realized what had been done after looking at my receipt. I called the store and spoke to the manager and went back there the next day so they could run my card again, otherwise, they would have been out the entire amount.

Today was my first experience purchasing from a Sally's store and it was very uncomfortable. I approached the sales girl behind the counter to ask about the three items, I was looking for. The sales girl was rude, snobbish, and seemed put upon that I asked her to do her job and help me find the 3 items. She made me feel uneasy the entire time, I was in the store. I left feeling like I had just inconvenienced someone that is supposed to be there to help me, but made me feel like a burden instead. After such a terrible experience, I do not see myself doing any more business with your company in the future.
human hair, hair glue and the employee that promised me different results
I have never bought hair extensions in my life and counted on you guys to give me the right info on how to have beautiful fake hair. I also thought sallys would hire employees that knew what to say and do but I was very wrong...I live in Indiana and went to the Nobelsville Indiana store with beautiful hair already ..I shouldve got the clip in hair extensions but was told I could actually glue the hair to my scalp at home with no hair loss and could easily be removed after a big party I was expected to be at but as soon as I tried to remove the hair it literally ripped my hair out and now I'm almost bald on the left side of my head and lost most of my hair yes I shouldve went to a salon but .the employee gave me false information and if I would have never went to your store id still have hair or at least the 100.00 dollars I spent on the Remy extensions I tried to re use just so I wasn't bald that is completely damaged now from all the hair glue and u guys wouldn't even give me in store credit to get new extensions so at least I had hair but now I lost my hair I CAN NEVER EVERRRR GET BACK IM EVEN MORE INSECURE AND CANT LEAVE MY OWN HOUSE AND IM A SINGLE MOTHER AND OUT 100.00 BUCKS ! I'm filing a law suit with two witnesses if I have to and I really hate to do that i dn not like drama and I keep to myself but I do not deserve this please help me with new hair so I can actually go to a salon to get it fixed or i will have to take action

I have read several reviews about this company and I must confess I regret I haven't read them prior. Because my situation is almost the same.
One month ago I ordered 8 items $128 in total, received them 2 weeks after, but 2 of them were missing. Not a big deal you say, but I would like to get everything at once because I paid for it. I called them, they said the items were on back order and they don't know when it was going to be shipped. I don't understand how it happened, why they haven't notified me and haven't refunded. These questions will be left without answers
The same situation but I ordered about 13 items and some of them are the same products. My products came today and found out I have two missing items, so I contacted the customer services line four times because there no answers and like someone just hangs up on my calls. So, I submitted an Inquiry, but haven't received the email yet. I don't understand how comes there would be missing items and even on the Invoices, it stated that all of them are shipped. But like how comes there still missing items. I don't understand how this happened. I guess shopping in person is better than online.
The same situation but just that I call the customer service line and there is no answer which I called four times. So, I summited an inquiry of my two missing items and haven't heard from them yet. I ordered about 10-12 items. I feel like ordering online is worst than going to buy the product in person.
poor upper management
I will put in here a brief complaint and concern with your company. I honestly would LOVE to speak with someone on the phone then on here! Your employees get treated like trash and are so disrespected! My daughter hiss worked for your company for 2 years and became manger in this time and is now 14-15 weeks pregnant and her job had become more stressful due to no help but as soon as she goes to er cuz she was so dehydrated and stressed ...all the sudden when she asks for a few days off due to this, they look down upon her and tell her that they have 2 other employees that are also pregnant and have issues ...well i am sorry but all pregnancies are different as well as people! So after all this ..udden now they have people to come in the store to magical help when needed! where was the help at the beckoning? now she is part time and its been almost 2 weeks and no one will reply to her about what is her pay now? she has now lost her respect for herself and lost her apt to raise her child !

I purchased this item just 2 months ago and while I was flat ironing my hair the thing POPPED! Like it blew out or something.. I barely use it and for me to spend as much as I did on it I didn't expect for this to happen so soon. I've purchased many flat irons from Walmart for $20 and it's lasted me years! I called the store to see if I could exchange it be the rep told me no because I don't have the packaging it came it. This I wasn't explained.. I kept my receipt just Incase but of course not the plastic packaging. This day I signed up to become a Sally's member and wish I wouldn't have.

This store is never staffed! Was in last night 11/24/17 had a poor girl in there working alone on Black Friday, what the hell kind of management do you people have? Not even a safe area to have females working by themselves and walking out alone. Multiple times I've come in at night after work and the girls are alone 7 or 8pm at night! No one to help out in the store ever either because the if the one person working is busy, too bad for you
employees being extremely rude
Myself and my daughter walked in before 8pm on 11-16-2017 in the Sanger Sally's Beauty. I was trying to purchase some items for me and my daughter and one of the employee on the cash register reminded me that it was 8:04 and it was closing time and that they were closed. The other employee that was working there thought it was funny or something because she was on the other isle just laughing. I felt like they were being very rude and disrespectful so i didn't purchase nothing and left because i felt like she was kicking me out and her coworker was just laughing. They need to be polite to customers. I would like for there supervisors to have a talk with them.
The coworker may have been laughing at something else. Either way, it is incredibly rude to enter a store at or after closing. The employees have families, jobs, school, and/or other commitments, and you should be respectful to them just as you want them to be respectful to you.

I was waiting in my car for my daughter to come out of Sally Beauty Company #3265. An emplyee walked between mine and the car parked next to me carry multiple bags an unidentied object. She dragged the item against my car and went in to the store. I got out to look at my door and whatever she dragged against it scratched my car. I had to wait for my daughter to come out the store as I had my youngest daughter in the car with me. After she purchased her item and came to the car I went into the store and told the employee that unbeknownst to her I was in my car when she walked through with her hands full and she scratched my car. I told her that was very disrespectful and she should know better than to walk between two cars parked beside each other, as there was noone parked on the other side of my car. I told her she was very rude for not even apologizing after the fact. I never raised my voice, went near her(she was in the backroom and I didn't pass the register), nor used foul language. I backed out and stayed in my vehicle and took a picture of her vehicle licence plate to identify her bacause I couldn't get her name. She proceeds to come outside to the parking lot screaming profanities at me all in front of my 13 and 4 year old daughters. I kept trying to interrupt her to have her speak to me like an adult as I am 37 yrs old and I have children in the car. She was a young girl, short, a little heavier than average, and brown hair about mid length /to her bra strap. She would not stop cursing and threatening me with physical violence so I started pulling away as my youngest daughter was getting inconsolable. She then proceeds to turn to walk back into the store with both hands up flipping me off all the way to the store. I cannot fathom an employee representing your company policy and mission statement acting that way! I was appalled! I couldn't imagine someone acting that way when they were the one in the wrong in the first place; let alone an EMPLOYEE IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE COMPANY THEY ARE EMPLOYED BY! If this is the kind of employees you choose to represent your company and what you stand forI will make sure and spread the word. I hope someone takes this serious as my CHILDREN had to witness this. There is a camera outside the shoe store next door that I am sure caught all the footage. My daughters receipt time was 3:52p.m., receipt number EJP-[protected] on Saturday November 11th, 2017. Attatched is photo of employees vehicle to possibly help identify her. Thank you for your time and attentiveness regarding this incident.

Terrible experience!!! Never again!!!
I used to often order from them and had nothing to complain about.
But the last two times were terrible and I must confess that I don't want to deal with them anymore.
I ordered 45 items and all of them arrived separately. The first arrived one month after I placed the order. So the others took 3 more weeks to be delivered. It's awful.
I didn't expect they would have split my order that way. I think they should have warned me before doing so and I would have immediately canceled it. Why? Because I needed everything at once, it was a gift.
The second time was terrible too. My item arrived broken.
Have been trying to figure out what to do next. When I finish it, it will be my last day of dealing with them.
rude staff
I was in the Howell, NJ store #3935 on Friday, September 22, 2017 around 11:00am. The woman at the store was very rude. I had a couple of questions about hair dye and developer and she was very abrupt, discourteous and snappy while answering me. At one point, I had to make sure I was getting the correct developer so I had to ask my question again and she rolled her eyes at me. It's my first time coloring my own hair and I wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly so I needed to make sure I was getting the right supplies. I don't normally write negative reviews but my experience was so distressing.
The hair dye was also advertised as Buy One, Get One free and she charged me for the 2 items. When I looked at my receipt and noticed the mistake and questioned her about it, she became brusque and she said it was not on sale. She refused to acknowledge her mistake until the customer behind me backed me up and said it was indeed on sale. That's when she gave me the refund. I am very forgiving about sales people who make honest mistakes but this woman was clueless and absolutely rude

I live in Copperas Cove, Texas. The store here is #3371. The service has always been hit or miss, but lately there are some real issues that bother me enough I will not return. The store manager is rude. Furthermore, when she is working, the store plays religious music, which is not appropriate for a place of business. This is a personal choice, and some of us choose not to listen to this genre of music. I normally go on Saturday mornings, and this has been going on about three months. Yesterday, a customer was in the business carrying her Poodle along, and this was not a service dog. She put the dog down and it started running up and down the isles. There is a law animals are not allowed unless they wear the vest, or have a tag that states they are a service dog. Maybe I should call the health department.

Manager wouldn't stop following me around the store and told me I had to leave my BAG in the front of the store. I asked her where in the store does it say customers must leave their bag she said it's their policy. I told her I'm not leaving my bag in the front of the store maybe u should invest in a sign then tell me about your bogus policy. She said next time she will ask me to leave!

I was asking about a how can I get a surtant hair color she told me i couldn't get that color cuz my hair was not bleached enough. I told he I don't mind as long as I get a little bit of the color. she kept telling me over and over I will not guaranty that it will be the exact color. I told her it's ok what can I use, and at that point she has an attitude like if I was bugging her that's when she told me to go to a hair salon. I just left the store. that manager was so rude. this happens on 8/9/17 walnut store. in the corner of alameda and Florence in the shopping center.

I have a complaint to file. The worker at this store was a caucasian with hair of red. She had on a red hoodie. She was very nasty. First at one time she would not answer me. Than she was just so rude and nasty towards me. I rather not take my business as a stylist there anymore. When I told someone else how nasty she was they labeled her as "you taking about the red head girl, o yes she is nasty". She didn't even want to answer me when I was asking about the product. It was so awful.

The Sally's in Middletown Louisville KY is a cesspool. I have gone in before only to see that the manager was in the back getting a haircut from another employee I know is named Jennifer. This is all during business hours. I have also been in the store many times and seen sketchy looking people coming there to see Jennifer. She has taken those people in the back room with her and close the door. The door says employees only, so it looks really dubious. Jennifer has been drunk or high several times when I have gone in there and I think the skinny girl who is the manager may also be in the same boat. I think the store is more to get your drugs than your beauty supplies. There are a couple of good people there but overall I am afraid of that store and I'm not going back

Every time I go to this particular Sally's beauty the manger along with the employees are rude and a lot of the products are mistocked. When I told the employee it was on the floor for a different price along with many others she argued with me, it's not my fault that they are not making sure things are in order. I'm understanding when it happens once or twice but it's not okay when I have a problem every time I go to this place of business.

I was in Sally's beauty store 3 times this week, on 1431 old York road, and a employee/manger has raised my attention highly. There was a young child around age 6-7 sitting in the store while the parent was working. today Sunday 16th I purposely visited the store twice to see if this was true. The young child was sitting in a office in the back on a phone and kept calling for his mother. I asked a separate employee if this was a ongoing thing with the child being there, and she said it was. My concern Is for the kids safety, since it has sharp objects in the store yet a lot dangerous chemicals throughout the store. I really hope this matter gets looked into. As a child is in danger and shouldn't not be around such items and objects, yet alone be sitting in a store for 7-8plus hours a day. Please look into this matter. Thanks a lot
