We bought a Ford F-150 truck from Sam Scism Motors and when we told them about the tire havin' a plug in the sidewall, they refused to fix it. I called the Vice President of the company, but he ain't returned my call. I also filed a complaint with Ford motors. All I want is for them to put a new tire on at their expense since they sold the truck with this tire on it.
I bought a used car from Sam Scism Motors in Feb
I bought a used car from Sam Scism Motors in Feb. and didn't get a clean title 'cause there were liens on it. After sortin' out the lien issue, I tried to get the vehicle licensed, but the DOR said there was a duplicate title filed for it. They said I couldn't get it titled in my name until the problem was fixed. I reached out to the dealer multiple times, but it's been seven months and I still don't have a title.
I just gotta say, I was writing this letter and bam!
I just gotta say, I was writing this letter and bam! Another flyer from some other dealership pops up. And get this, it's not the first time! They're all like, "Hey, you won a whole year's worth of mortgage payments!" But guess what? It's all a bunch of baloney. These dealerships are playing dirty tricks and spreading lies in their ads. It's just not right, man. They're preying on good, hardworking folks like you and me. I ain't gonna let this slide, though. I'll take it up with the big shots if I have to. Something's gotta be done, you know? So, how 'bout you answer this letter, huh?

Dealership salesmen lied 'bout vehicle havin' no safety inspection issues
Dealership salesmen lied 'bout vehicle havin' no safety inspection issues. Tried callin' salesman multiple times without gettin' a call back. Called 'n left voicemail for General Manager, David Scism, to return my calls 'n still ain't heard nothin' from him either. Left front rotor, caliper, 'n pads had to be replaced. Look at the safety inspection attached that Scism service department did 'n they checked the LF (left front) brake 'n passed the vehicle for purchase. There's other issues 'bout this same complaint that I can tell ya if ya wanna contact me by phone.

I got lied to by the GM of Sam Scism Ford in Park Hills, Missouri 'bout how much money I should get back with the warranty after tradin' in my car. I called the warranty place and they told me to talk to a GM. He was mean and wouldn't help me in any way with the money that wasn't given to me. We talkin' 'bout over $1,000 to help pay for sales taxes on a new car, but they only gave me a third of what it should be. I tried to be nice and get the money I deserve, the money I put down from my own pocket. Instead, they basically told me to screw off and never come back to their store again.
I just got my car fixed at Sam Scism Ford in Farmington Mo
I just got my car fixed at Sam Scism Ford in Farmington Mo. They called me and said my car was done and all fixed. I asked if they took care of the recalls and they said yes many times. So, I went to pick up my car and none of the recalls were fixed. When I got home, the check engine light came on, so I called Scisms. I explained what happened and this person named *** got rude with me and said it wasn't his fault and he wouldn't fix it. (Even though they said everything was fixed before) *** even told me to come to their business and fight him because he was tired of me calling. This company lied to me multiple times and had an employee try to fight me at their business. Not professional at all. Now I have to take my car to another shop because Scisms lied and didn't fix it.
My husband and I are the power of attorney for *** who suffers from Dementia
My husband and I are the power of attorney for *** who suffers from Dementia. His wife is out of town. I tried typing in the entire detail of what happened but there is not enough room. Basically they sold a dementia patient a car at full price that could be purchased at almost 1/2 that at another dealership and tacked on an extra 4000 service warranty contract. My husband called and he was told if he had a drivers license and good credit it was a valid sale. He can’t pay. We had to call the police just to get verification it was purchased there. We went up and talked to a manager who also said it was a good sale. He had lost the keys immediately. I ordered a new fob. It came in today but I found them. I have already contacted social services about this and they said what to do. So we drove the car back and was told if we left it there they would hire a tow truck to take it to storage and there we would also owe service charges. A lot more involved than this. No room.
My 2015 Escape, which I got from Sam Scism Ford, is now 6 years old and the transmission has failed twice
My 2015 Escape, which I got from Sam Scism Ford, is now 6 years old and the transmission has failed twice. The first time was in February , and the second time was in August . Instead of replacing the transmission, the mechanic shop repaired it both times. The first repair took about two weeks, and the second repair took a month. Unfortunately, they didn't really fix the underlying issue, so my car still has transmission problems.
The main problem I had with them is that every time I called to check on my car, I asked for a loaner car but they always denied my request and lied to me. They claimed that Ford wouldn't allow them to provide loaner cars, but I spoke to someone at Ford customer service who said that was a complete lie. To make matters worse, when I finally went to pick up my car, they handed me the keys without telling me where it was parked. They had purposely parked it at the farthest spot on the lot. Their behavior was rude, and they consistently lied to customers about various things. Because of their lies, I missed appointments. I really just want them to install a new transmission in my car.
I went to Sam Scism Motors on 10/27 to buy a car, and I ended up signing the papers for one
I went to Sam Scism Motors on 10/27 to buy a car, and I ended up signing the papers for one. But the next day, I realized that I couldn't afford it because of personal reasons. So, on 10/28, I went back to the dealership and told my salesman, Brad, that I wanted to cancel the deal because of my personal situation. He said he would get back to me, but he never did. I had to call him on 10/29, and he said he would talk to the owner.
On 10/27, as part of the agreement, I left two checks with them as payment. The first check was for $5000, and it was supposed to be deposited into my bank on 10/29. However, they actually put it through on 10/28, which caused me to get charged for overdraft. The second check was for $10,000, and it was supposed to be processed on 11/05. But because of the overdraft charges, I stopped both checks because I don't trust them and I don't want the car anymore. Also, they didn't give me any paperwork to take on 10/27. I don't know what else to do. I don't want this car, and it's still sitting in their lot. I won't be getting the truck.
I bought a 2016 Dodge Journey on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from Sam Scism Motors
I bought a 2016 Dodge Journey on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from Sam Scism Motors. They told me to bring it back on Monday for some "service." So, I picked it up on Monday, but guess what? The check engine light came on after driving for less than 30 minutes! Can you believe it? It was a problem with the Camshaft Positioning Sensor. I had to miss work just to take the car back to the dealer and find out what was wrong with it. They said they had to send it across the street to get it fixed. When I called the service department for an update, they said they would call me back in 15 minutes. Well, two hours passed and I had to call them again for an update. That's when they told me they took my car to a dealership in Festus, which is 31 miles away. They never bothered to keep me informed. I had to contact the Festus dealership myself to get any updates on my car. And guess what? My car has multiple problems, including an issue with the PCM, which is on back order until at least the middle of March, if not longer. I told the dealer that I want to get rid of this car because of all the mechanical issues, but they won't do anything unless I pay the sales tax to trade it back to them. And then they want to run my credit again, which is just ridiculous. I can't believe I have to pay sales tax and start making monthly payments for a car that I haven't even had for 24 hours and is sitting at a dealership 31 miles away. It's just crazy!
Had my girlfriend's car towed for diagnostics and the service tech told me over the phone that it was probably the transmission module again
Had my girlfriend's car towed for diagnostics and the service tech told me over the phone that it was probably the transmission module again. I gave them all the information, including the fact that it had a new part on it, but they seemed so fixated on it being a transmission module that they failed to write it down. When the diagnostics came back, they said it was the stop brake switch and that we needed a new shifter. We declined the repairs. Two days later, I picked up the car and fixed it myself in just 5 seconds. I simply diagnosed it by pulling the plunger of the brake stop switch to the max, resetting it, and then it went into gear without any issues since. However, they still tried to charge my girlfriend $700 for repairs. So, on June 21, 2022, I called to speak to the service manager and explained the situation. He then claimed it was human error and miscommunication. Also, they just threw the parts they took off into the seat and left them there, even though there was a receipt laying there too. They failed to put everything back as I brought it in. The sales manager, ***, refused to accept any responsibility. I tried to suggest splitting the cost to make things right, but he refused due to human error and miscommunication. So, I went to the dealership after work to speak face to face. I didn't have anything nice to say and offered him the key to diagnose the car correctly or drive it to see that there were no issues. Then, I shared my experience on their social media and *** supported his manager and basically called me a liar, claiming that I didn't provide all the information. It was beyond me because I had told them 2-3 times that it had a new brake stop switch in it if the transmission module wasn't the issue again. The transmission module has been fixed on recall 2-3 times, yet it keeps going out because they install the same faulty parts. This car was bought new from them and has been a mess since. The windows stopped working a long time ago and had to be directly wired, and there are transmission issues. Every so often, every light on the dashboard comes on for no reason.
On 12-12-2019 I went to Sam Scism Ford to buy a cheap used car
On 12-12-2019 I went to Sam Scism Ford to buy a cheap used car. I'm 58 years old and on social security disability income. I make $900.00 (nine hundred dollars) per month. After paying for utilities, food, and other stuff, I have around $200-$250 left for a car and insurance. Right now, I only have liability insurance which costs $50.00 a month. If I get full coverage, I think it'll be about $100.00 a month. That means I'll have $150.00 left for my car. I didn't want to have payments for more than 48 months, so I thought I could afford a car that costs no more than $7000.00. The salesperson told me I couldn't get approved for a used car, but I could get approved for a new one. So, before I knew it, I was driving away with a new car. They said they'd give me $1,000.00 for my trade-in. On the way home, I thought it was great that I got a new car for $150.00 a month. When I got home and looked at the paperwork, I realized my payments would be $449.86, not including insurance. And this was for 72 months! I was shocked! There's no way I can afford this, and I don't know how I got approved when I only make $900.00 a month! I called them right away that night and said I wanted to return it. They said I couldn't return it. I called Ford Motor Finance, and she told me to bring it back to the dealership the next morning. The next morning, I took it back, and they said if I left it there, they'd have it towed at my expense. Also, the car they sold me was used with 5223 miles on it. The paperwork I have says it's new with 0.00 miles. So not only did they sell me something I can't afford, but they also sold me a used car. I keep telling them to come and pick it up, but it's still sitting in my yard. This whole thing is FRAUD! Should I get a lawyer and sue? I think after everything I've been through and all the nights I couldn't sleep, they should just give me the car for $7,000.00. I don't know what to do, but I need my old truck back. PLEASE HELP ME. Thank you.
