manufacturing defect on screen
there is an inherent manufacturing defect in the screen of the samsung galaxy tab, in that it develops an oily slick / newton rings, when the tablet has been used for approximately a week, this does not affect all the tablets but around 45-60 pct are affected, i have written to Samsung uk asking for a change under warrenty, they have refused saying that because i bought the tablet overseas they cannot repair it .
i may understand some of that, if it was a warrenty claim, however as a manufacturing defect this becomes too much !
samsung galaxy has a manufacturing defect referred to as oil slick or newton rings, i am NOW trying to assemble as many people as possible to mount a legal case against samsung uk, as they are refusing to repair any tablet that was bought outside their territory
if any one is interested please let me know and i will send you my pm

Horrible customer service
I purchased a Samsung UN40C6500 TV in late November of 2010. Since I have owned it, the TV has always had a bad backlight bleeding problem from the bottom left and right corners, known as "flashlighting". This problem is so bad that I can hardly watch certain shows and movies because of the distracting backlight bleeding on dark backgrounds.
I went to the Samsung website and submitted a request to their customer service to get the TV replaced. Their response was that they don't give replacements, I would have to schedule a service call to have a technician come out to my house. It was unlikely that a technician would be able to do anything to repair the TV given the nature of how backlight bleeding occurs. I was also afraid that their "fix" would be to disassemble the TV and replace the panel, which from online research I found rarely helped other customers with similar problems. But it appeared this service call was the only option.
The service man arrived and confirmed that the TV did have a problem. Of course went through the normal, trying to adjust the backlight settings to where they were turned down so dim that the backlight bleeding was less noticeable. Why they would even suggest this, I don't know. When I buy a $1100 product I excpect it to be able to perform and function at all of its settings. I shouldn't have to bandaid a problem by not utilizing all of my product's features, like backlight brightness. After trying all the settings adjustments he could, he tried calling Samsung directly. He reported the TV was not working. Their only resolution they could come up with was to watch the TV from further away. My couch was 6ft away from the 40" TV (a very comfortable viewing distance) and their TV "requires" a 7ft viewing distance... What?! Because I'm 1ft closer, that's causing backlight bleeding? No, sorry. The TV is still broken, and it's still extremely distracting and annoying to watch many programs on it. And Samsung will not do anything to fix it. I've written them multiple emails, but all I get is a canned response saying "schedule a service call". They ignore the part of my email where I've already done that. I've given up on Samsung. (Photo attached, this is what Samsung calls "normal operation")
Now I am reminded every day when I watch TV how poor Samsung quality and customer service is. I used to be a Samsung "die-hard", but now, because of Samsung's lack of ownership to a problem and failure to stand behind their product or ther customer, I advise all of my friends and family to purchase other brands and avoid Samsung. I advise you do the same!
I agree. I bought a $3000 Samsung tv that died under warranty, they replace and it immediately dies again which is out of warranty now. they wont do a thing. all the reviews on amazon on same tv show same issues and all died. I will never buy another Samsung product and feel terrible for all the people that are throwing their money down the toliet.
poor quality & customer service
Bought the galaxy tab 10.1 for only 2 weeks... and the screen flicker problem occurs. Sent in for repairs and complaint on the defects but CS pushes the defect blames to the consumer i.e. me... saying that malware apps can cause screen flicker. CS somemore mentions no liable to data loss, screen protector and ... ...
I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1wi fi from an electrical outlet in Philadelphia Airport on 21/10/011. It no longer works on battery power. I have contacted Samsung and their response has been to refuse to repair the item in the UK and refused to cover the cost of haing to send the item back to the USA.
Overall Samsung are a disgrace and I would never purchase one of their products again.

bad service

Sir
I purchased for my daughter Chinu Chopra a mobile handset the details for the same are listed below
The dealer Matrix Technologies
Dwarka Sector 10. New Delhi -110075
Phone: 011-[protected]
Date of Purchase Sept. 12, 2017

Price Rs. 5666/-

A few days after the purchase, it exhibited problems of all sorts, viz. (hanging, non functioning of the radio etc.). My daughter took it to the dealer, but he even refused to recognize her, though she showed him the voucher. The service centre also did not do anything and returned her as if she was a persona non grata for them. I sent a mail to you and requested Mr. Upendra of technical team to replace the handset. According to him the complaint has been forwarded to the concerned Department for replacement of the set. I now request the company to live to its reputation of being the customer oriented company and replace the faulty set immediately.
This cheat company has not responded to my three mails and five calls to the customer care department.

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
First time after samsung tv purchase, I logged one complaint ([protected]). But even after 4 days, nobody came. I do not know where to dump samsung tv. I have decided not to buy any samsung product in future. Buying samsung product mean loosing peace of mind. Really bad experience.
I had purchased a Air conditioner(1.5 Ton - 3 star) of Rs. 32900 of Samsung India P. Ltd. from Hariom Retail P. Ltd, B-3/2 Ashok Vihar Delhi -110052 on dated 07.06.2017.(Copy of retail invoice attached) and it is in under warranty period of one year.
From 1st April 2017 Air conditioner is not cooling the air, leaking gas and not functioning properly. In this regard I have lodged complaints 5 times continuously to Samsung customer care and also doing regularly follow up with Samsung senior executive by Email (Copy attached) and phone but they are neither sending their service engineer to resolve the problem nor resolving problem.
As me and my 1 yr old daughter suffering in this hot temperature and also she has gone under neurosurgery 2 times. This is the case of harassment by Samsung team.
In addition to that there is a manufacturing defect in Air condition and aluminium coils is defected and requires good amount to rectify the problem on regular interval.
Hence I am requesting you to please register my complaint against Samsung India P. Ltd. for not compliance of terms of warranty of one year and refund me Air-condition cost.
We have purchased 345 ltrs. Refrigerator (Rt35bdmsi/xtl) on 07/06/2017 from sales india. Ahmedabad.
We logged the complaint on 30/10/2017 & 6/11/2017 to samsung customer care on - [protected]. They have given the complaint no. [protected] dt. 06/11/2017. Regarding noisy door & no cooling in freezer compartment.
After that your service center i. E. Samsung service plaza (c. G road, ahmedabad) has asked for the retail invoice which was courired to them. After receipt of confirmation of retail invoice, they confirm that your product will be replaced by new same product within 15-20 days.
But wheen I am talking to them there is no posivite responce nor confirmation regarding replacment.
Please let us knowthe confirm date when you are replacing the product.
Samsung india is a scam! Its just about quantity and zero on quality. Its been only 3 months that I picked a samsung galaxy handset and it has completely died..! I get to know that they just about managed to find out after 3 days that the mother board itself died... Now they cant find a replacement spacre and are awaiting... I am now told that it will take another 5 days perhaps for me to have a mobile. I request for a replacement and they said they dont have any such policy..
The service centre people have lot of attitude and really disgust us by their way of work. I can understand if the battery had an issue or a small problem with handset, but given the magnitute of the issue, samsung refuses to either replace the defective piece or return my handset in working condition immediately
Its a typical style of taking consumer to ransom.
I guess its a price one pays to switch from nokia..
I bought Samsung Montee on 1st August 2017 from Univercell Telecommunicatons India Pvt limited, Chennai, and i have being using the mobile only for Calls, that too 4-5 call per day of 10 minute each.
The Battery is performing so bad that as of today i have to charge it every 8 hours.
Request you to please look into. To your satisfaction you can check the number of hours the mobile has been used uptill now.

7kg front loader washing machine
well...here is the long story cut short.
Bought a Samsung 7 kg front loader august 2008.
Within the first 14 days it leaked, so was covered by the store and replaced.
After 14 days it leaked again, and was not covered by store, so had to ring Samsung.
Replaced, and told by store must have been a bad batch.
Under warranty it broke down, and so the circuit board replaced. Repair man said the replacement circuit board would have cost $400, and machine only cost $600? Asked him how long this would last, his answer, "How long is a piece of string?"
Had it 3 years now, not under warranty, and the lock catch wouldn't open and so washing left 3 days until I could get a washing machine repair man. He said catch burnt out and after $50 call out fee, said could fix it with new part, $200.
Yesterday I bought a Bosch, with a 3 year warranty, and was happy to see the poor Samsung get wheeled out the door, because the $200 quoted for part to open the door, (burnt out?) MAY fix it.
Would not buy anything Samsung again. You have been warned, and that is what these forums are for...
All up spent $730 on the Samsung, and $800 now on a Bosch...$1530 on washing clothes just on 3 years.

Nola,
I was determined to have the right of reply, and this is my final follow-up
Should I help someone who is reaching out and deeply-hurting?
Absolutely. I do what I can to help people, but I also have the wisdom
to accept my limits. I can only do so much. I should never have a
friendship based on guilt over someone's poor choices. It is so easy to
find ourselves in denial about someone's behaviour, because we so deeply
wish they could escape their pain and suffering. But what we want for
others doesn't work unless they want it for themselves. People must save
themselves, and you can only help a person who really wants it and is
ready. I have permission to walk away from anything that doesn't feel
right. I trust my instincts and listen to my inner-voice — it's trying
to protect me. I never stop sharing my love with people; that's why I
was put on Earth. But sometimes the way to share love is to let someone
go. Staying in an unhealthy friendship can keep a person from finding
their own way and moving to the next level of their own path. Sometimes
the best way to save someone is to walk-away. Real love sometimes means
saying goodbye.
My life was meant for more than being a life-long doormat for deadbeats,
losers, gossipers, nay-sayers, dream-crushers, energy vampires, users,
abusers, and passive-aggressive back-stabbers. Some of these people are
rabidly-infected with obvious madness. Some have less obvious ways, such
as the "helpful" enabler, who sends you off to your destruction with a
helping hand and a smile. Some are "doubt-whispers, " who plant the seeds
of non-belief in your heart to take root, so they can then console you
in your inevitable moment of defeat. There are also perpetual victims
who feed on your constant attention. Call them what you want, you know
exactly who I am talking about. One thing always reveals their sometimes
hidden identity to me — after you have been around them, how do I feel;
have I been depleted and drained, or energized and inspired?
A person at peace can immediately recognize a consciousness in crisis,
whereas those in crisis cannot fully understand themselves or others.
This is the eternal challenge with ignorance — ignorance can't see
itself. People often turn away from good advice because they need
something another person can never give them — discovery. As much as I
would like to help others avoid pain, sometimes we have to let go and
allow them to receive their painful lessons. Suffering is one of life's
great teachers. I cannot save people from themselves. All I can do is
stand firmly in my hopes for them, with compassion.
I want to be a good person and be helpful to people in need, but it's
impossible to give to others if I have been used-up. Being a good person
has nothing to do with allowing people to destroy me. There are limits.
I can best help others from a position of strength, not weakness. So, I
don’t forget to be good to myself first. I don’t forget to take care of
me! It is never cruel to want to save yourself from being swamped by
fools. You cannot save everyone. Some people are going to destroy
themselves no matter how much you try to help them. Their lives are full
of emptiness, chaos and dysfunction, and they will bring their misery
and pain into my life with full-force if I allow it. Then there are
others who have the outward appearance of success and are seemingly not
self-destructive in nature. These people do not destroy themselves, but
instead survive through the destruction of others — these are the users.
Either of these types of people will latch-on to you in a death-spiral
and take you down to the depths of hell with them. This is my life and I
have the right and responsibility to make good decisions for myself.
I must firmly, absolutely and ruthlessly protect my safety and sanity.
Misery loves good company, so if I am surrounded with drama, gossip and
fools, then I need to consider that I have been at risk of becoming one
of them. The real zombie-apocalypse is the pandemic of drama and
mediocrity. Troublemakers will infect you with the malady of their
madness. And especially, if my positivity immune system is low, any
exposure to a person afflicted with negativity can poison my life. I
have to get these people out of my life, once and for all. One of the
fastest ways I can profoundly change my life is to rid myself of toxic
people. When I realize I have come in contact with one of these people, I
have to run for my life; get to safety and then scrub down my brain
with a wire-brush to remove their insanity from the corridors of my mind
-- inoculate myself immediately by creating a safe space and aligning
myself with healthy people. If I have to go it alone for a while until I
find my healthy tribe and chosen family, that is fine. Being alone is
much better than being around negative people out of loneliness or
desperation.
Boundaries and risk management are very important parts of living a
healthy and positive life. Even professionals like therapists,
psychologists and social workers limit their exposure to their clients
and draw boundaries. What on earth ever made me think I can handle
unlimited exposure to toxic people and survive? I can still be a
charitable person who helps and cares about people, without helping
those very people destroy my life. I have learnt how to draw a line and
learn how to enforce it; get selfish and take care of me. Cleanliness
and order is good Feng Shui which applies to people even more than to
the things in my life. I must clear out what I don't want, to make room
for what I do want to arrive. The way to send a clear message that I am
ready for better people in my life is the kick the rascals to the curb.
We strive our whole lives to love people unconditionally, but sometimes
we need to get rid of people unconditionally. The intimate space of my
personal life should be reserved for amazing, beautiful, radiant souls —
good, wholesome and loving people. My truest family is my chosen
family, people with whom I most identify. I make a clear decision on the
type of people I want in my life and if they don't make the cut, then I
create some distance. It doesn't matter if it is a close relative,
parent or child-hood friend; no matter the history — when people are
toxic, disruptive and dysfunctional with no reasonable signs of
recovery, then they need to go. Sometimes, to escape a bad relationship
and reclaim our lives, we have to break a piece of our heart off, like a
wolf chews its leg off to escape a steel trap. Ergo, I love toxic
people from a distance.
Now is the time to walk away. I haven't been listening to my
inner-voice. My gut has been screaming, but I have been ignoring it. How
much more of my life am I going to throw away for a lie? I accept it.
Some people never change. Some people have abusive, negative,
controlling tendencies in their blood; they are wired for havoc,
bickering and deception. They know of no other way to interface with
others, except through their created chaos. Chaos is their home-court
advantage where play their mind-games so they can have power over you;
it's a rigged game you I can never win. These people will wear me ragged
and bring me to my knees emotionally and physically. In time, they will
destroy every wonderful thing I have in my life. I have been in danger:
my health, my peace of mind, my happiness, and maybe even my life.
There is more than one way to lose your life; quickly through violence,
or fettered-away and wasted around dreadful, toxic people. I must take
control of my life and make good decisions for myself. The insanity must
end, for my own sake and for theirs.
Sometimes a person needs us to abandon them, but we hang-on anyway,
which can be devastating for both parties. Helping others can sometimes
even be a convenient distraction from addressing our own unresolved
issues. When someone you know is so toxic and destructive that they are
poisoning your life, you have to create some distance. They need you to
walk away as much as you need it. People who are out of control
desperately need to observe your healthy boundaries in-play to learn
from your example. I can best teach others about healthy boundaries by
enforcing mine on them. There is a difference between giving-up and
strategic disengagement. I know the difference. I have learnt how to let
people go. I have stopped holding-on to the wrong people. They can go
on their own way; if not for me, then for them.
I can help others when I am safe, secure and successful in my own life.
Practically every successful person I know of is successful, in part,
because they moved the destructive and disruptive people out of their
lives. Successful people carefully manage their energy and associations;
they are gatekeepers. Whom I allow into my life, mind and heart are
among the most important decisions I will ever make. I have taken
inventory of the people with whom I spend the most time. Whom I spend my
time with is who I am, or whom I will soon become. I limit my exposure
to unhealthy and unsupportive people. I love myself enough to say no to
people who diminish my chances for a beautiful and empowered life.
Sometimes you have to get away from what you know to discover what you
don't know. It is time for the abuse, control, lies and negativity to
end. I am aligning myself with a new tribe of healthy people who are
supportive of my highest good and potential. I am finding the people who
are living the positive lifestyle I wish for myself and who share my
values, thereby creating a new family of friends that I can call,
"home." My new positive and supportive tribe will edify me, strengthen
me and empower me to serve others in ways that I would have never before
imagined. Taking care of myself is the most powerful way to begin to
take care of others. It is not too late for me. It is never too late to
begin loving myself again. It is never too late to have the life I
deserve. Healing for everyone begins with self-love — starting right
now.

New refrigerator of samsung company has been purchased on 24th of october from the authorised dealer of samsung, prakash motors, jabalpur, madhya pradesh, india. E cooling, when we have complained (To the authorised dealer from where we have purchased this product) they have not responded & not even given the satisfactory feedback regarding the problem.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
durability and after sale service is worst of all
I bought a Samsung Refreigerator in 2009 with a warranty of 1 year. Just a year and few days passed the Fridge broke down due to gas leakage, I got it repaired by paying Rs.900 and odd to their service center for gas charging. And similarly, I bought a Samsung split A/c of 1.5 ton Btu in May 2010 with a warranty period of 1 Year. Just one month after the warranty period i.e. 25/june/2011 it broke down, No cooling there due to gas leakage, which was repaired at a cost of Rs.1630 by their service center in Chennai Ekkaduthangal. And, I was told the service also carries a warranty of 3 months ! Alas! To my dismay just exactly after 3 months and 7 days, The A/c broke down again, for the same reason due to gas leakage. But when I called their (so called!) customer care and registered my service request someone came and gave me an estimation of Rs. 2440/- of which 440 was charged in advance for coming over and checking the fault ! In the meantime, I sent an email to ''support.[protected]@samsung.com which is the customer support center for India, explaining my grievances and wondered if their products are designed to work exactly for the period of warranty ?! I suppose this truth irritated the Samsung Customer Satisfaction Team (Mr. Surya R. Kurup) and Hence, I received an email from their local service center with an estimation for Rs. 4007/- after their deductions ! This hike in the estimate (from Rs. 2500/- to 4007) is clearly to harass me !
I would suggest and advice you all no to buy any Samsung products for their after sale service is worst .. Please dont waste your hard earned money by buying Samsung Products..! I wonder Samsung Products are designed to work trouble free just for the warranty period only..!?
I dont want my fellow countrymen to suffer be subjected to this corporate arrogance and harrassing! Thank YOu Nazim M.

service issue
SAMSUNG service partners Sri Sai Enterprise is worst than fish market, my mobile is with them for last 40 days for repair, my handset was working fine after they replaced mobile battery but the same was not charging for which they had taken back for repair and from last one month it is with them, now they are claiming that the PA board is bad and not available, i have escalated to Samsung but the respone is poor, i would suggest not to by Samsung mobile if you want to use more than an year.

I will not buy another samsung phone and maybe not ever buy a samsung product
I have the Samsung Behold touch screen phone which is less than 1 month out of warranty. The touch screen will not work and this phone can now only be recalibrated by a factory technician. They want $70.00 plus S&H to fix this problem. I think that this is a design flaw due to the fact that the phone has no hard reset that would restore the calibration to factory defaults. I also feel that malfunctions so close to warranty should be fixed under warranty. I will not buy another samsung phone and maybe not ever buy a samsung product (at least knowingly). I am very Irate because I spent a lot of money on this phone and it is worthless. A $15 Nokia cel phone now outperforms this worthless Behold phone built by Samsung.
Hello,
I'd like to apologize for the touchscreen issues you're having with your Behold. Samsung's Executive Customer Relations team would like to speak with you to see how we can resolve your issue. If you send us your name, phone number, and email address to Social_Support_Mobile@sta.samsung.com, a member of our ECR team will call you to see how they can help. uncompromising customer service
I have a very unpleasant incident today with
Mobileone Ltd! As we requested for an early recontract on take3 plan, we were promised agreed on the line with their customer service officer, Amy. After waiting for 90mins for our turn, we were told that this was not conversed in our conversation with their representative. Despite being involved in an another one hour of negotiation, they refused to bend their rules for my wife who has been their loyal customer for the last ten over years. We even requested for a discount or rebate off the phone price on normal plan. Their answer was : it's actually your choice of phone and M1 unable to give rebates as requested. That being said, a big telco company like mobileone, being unable to cater to their customer requests and keeping their stand is so uncompromising and so call " ungrateful ", so being loyal to them does not help a bit at all in such situations, we had better switch telco for a better customer service. The worst thing is my wife got rid of the old phone before going down to recontract, which only add fuel to oil.

terrible customer service
I bought a 55 inch Samsung LED 7 series for 15, 000Dhs, and to have it stop working 8 months later. When I called the service centre I had to beg them to send someone to look it at. The person came 24 hours later barely speaking a word of english and mumbled that he had to take the TV. When asked when it would be back he said 2 days max. Now 5 days later I am still waiting for it back. Ive called customer service many times and demanded for the issue to be escalated, and of course you guessed it still no one calls me back. I even asked for a spare TV to be sent to me, so that at least I would have something to watch, but again, no one can tell me anything or make a decision. This is the worst service I have ever recieved. You would think buying such an expensive TV would ensure better service, but this is quite the opposite. Im still waiting for my TV and a call back and I am sitting at home all day with no solution. Everyone be aware that Samsung absolutely suck, and they have lost a customer for life. I work for one of the largest retailers here, and will be spreading the word about this to everyone I know.
I think the worst part of the whole fiasco with Samsung customer service is that I have an extended warranty from another company to replace the phone if Samsung does not repair it. because the phone has a one year warranty and I only had it for 4 months the extended warranty company wants me to send it to Samsung first (read fine print on your square trade warranty and their call center is out of country to). Samsung sends the phone back unrepaired and refuses to send any printed info stating why they did not repair it. What kind of company refuses to put something in writing? DIshonest COMPANY! The trust factor is lost, I won't buy anymore of their products and the out of country call center drove me crazy. They told me I did not call in the right time frame and it was my fault, apologized a million times, but did nothing, 3 supervisors later still no resolution, but a 100 "sorry can't do that". So beware even if you have a extended warranty Samsung will refuse to provide any written documentation for you. They will only say "it was not fixed"
I have purchased the Samsung Washing Machine 2 years ago, Now machine is giving issue so called up the service center. They took the machine and quoted the price which is 50% of the machine cost. I told the this is very high they told nothing can be done as these the rates for spare parts which they receive from Samsung. I also argued how come machine is faulty in just 2 years for which they were unable to answer. Earlier machine we used for 6 years whitout any fault that too was low end brand. Quality of Samsung product are going down and down with day passes. I purchased the Samsung Machine just by looking at the samsung which i believe is the biggest mistake. Suggestion to Samsung, please also work quality otherwise days are close for you to loose the reputation from the market.
I have recently bought one samsung S7 edge from Lulu store abu dhabi mushrif mall, it was pre ordered and i received the mobile from the store on 9th march, but unfortunately the next day onwards i have noticed that the mobile display has some flickering issue. I have contacted Lulu store after few days but they told me that it will take 15 days to process so i was instructed by them to go directly to the EROS store (EROS is the contact team for service and warranty ), so as per the guidance from Lulu, i have visited EROS and submitted the mobile, the next day i have received a call from ADNAN he is from Samsung service centre and they told that they can not replace the mobile, they can only repair the mobile and will replace the LCD display screen only, but i refused and told him to give back my mobile as i don't want to repair my new brand mobile which was bought few days before only.
This is very disappointing decision from SAMSUNG service centre team as we have expected the quality or at least a good service from samsung but the response from Samsung store was very disappointed and it is truly unacceptable.
I purchased a wash machine from Samsung one year ago and it has already stopped working. It was picked up by 2 repair people who told me I would receive a call within 2 days to let me know the status. I never received a call, so I called and no one knew anything about the status of the repair and said they would call me back. Again, no call.. I have been calling on a daily basis for the past 2 weeks to find out when my washer will be repaired and every day I get a new lie. The representatives at the Abu Dahbi service center are a bunch of clowns who don't have a clue and don't care. There are no coin op laundry services in this country and it is getting old asking my friends and neighbors to borrow their wash machine. I have 3 kids who don't have many clean clothes left to wear and my laundry baskets are starting to smell from sitting with dirty towels and clothing for so long. By the way, the last wash machine I owned was a WHIRLPOOL brand which lasted over ten years without one problem. Samsung products are cheap and their service is even worse!
Never buy Samsung products again!
After 18 months of ownership the TV failed terminally - Samsung "Customer Care" not interested! I will not be purchasing another Samsung product. If Samsung are serious about quality then they should offer more than the bare minimum in terms of warranty.
I have faced the same bad treatment! Much worse actually, , now it ha been 3 months and no one from Samsung or Eros are coming back to me or giving back my tv.. They are just giving me lies... I really regret buying their smart TV.. Worst customer service ever.. I can not even complain for their head office.. No matter how good their tv is i promise you that their customer service is the worst.. I do not recommend samsung to anyone
I totally agree with your comments on Samsung here in the UAE. I have had problems with a washing machine, I will be purchasing other products but most certainly never another Samsung.
Same exact thing happened to me. Same time frame 18 mo. Know picture on my lcd only sound. My last tv lasted 23 years!

wireless and home phone service
My wife and I decided to try the promotional, "free" phones (Samsung solstis 2) for 30 days. First they sent 1 solstis and a slider phone which I had to pay and insure to return. Then they sent the correct phone, but it had a duplicate phone number of the other solstis, by the time we got the number straightened out they had received the slider and promptly cancelled her service because she had returned it. Meanwhile back at the farm..
I had been trying to ascertain our billing info, when I logged into the account it would say 0.00$ next billing cycle in 01/01/70, huh? By now our trial period had past, we both still do not have text service and our first bill is $362.99. Wwwhhhaaaattt? We, cumulatively have used 8 minutes of 700 family talk, 54mb data usage, just trying to gather info on the mixups. I had included unlimited data for $30 a month (Which is twice my dsl at home) the 700 min. Shared was supposed to be $60. Thank you at&t, p. S. My landline bill was $115.46. I no longer wish to talk to anyone on the phone, ever... I feel violated and dirty. Charles hutchins

This is exactly the type of deception that I fell for, here in Illinois. The salesperson led me to believe that I was trying out the Home Phone Connect device...and instead am being held to a 2-year contract, complete with cancellation fees, for a device that was never used. Multiple calls to Verizon have led to no resolution. I am contacting my state consumer protection agency, the Better Business Bureau and the FTC and plan to switch our mobile service to a competitor -- after being a customer for 20 years.
I changed to Verizon Home Phone Connect for $20.00 a month, have Caller ID and Voice Mail and a bunch of other stuff I don't use, uses your reuglar house phones and have found I can get a dail tone 100 feet from the base station, and am more that satisfied, this was the beginning of July 2011, I was all ready using Verizon Internet Services which was cheaper that AT&T land line and much faster. My total bill for both services is $55.00 per month where I was paying $74.00 for AT&T and did not include Internet service.
