I bought a car from Sapaugh that was passed for safety and admissions. But with Covid occurring, I wasn't able to get my car legal so it sat in my driveway for months. Then when I got the car reinspected, I found out that there was a cracked spring so there's no way it could have passed safety when Sapaugh passed it.

I bought a used truck from Sapaugh Chevrolet Buick GMC in Herculaneum back in October
I bought a used truck from Sapaugh Chevrolet Buick GMC in Herculaneum back in October . Since then, I've had to get quite a few repairs done. The transmission had to be rebuilt, the front left axle got replaced, and there was an issue with the fuel injector in cylinder 5. On top of that, I had to replace an engine bar and fix some gashes in the rims of my right front tire. And just this morning, my truck had trouble starting up. The transmission still isn't working right, even after all the repairs.
To make matters worse, they didn't tell me the truth about the transmission. I specifically said I didn't want a used one put in, but they went ahead and did it without even asking me. And they also lied about the mileage on the vehicle. It's been a real headache dealing with all these problems.
I've been without my truck for three weeks this time around. I haven't trusted Sapaugh enough to let them handle the additional repairs, so I've taken it to other shops instead. All in all, I've had to spend around $500.00 on these extra repairs. It's been a frustrating experience, to say the least.

I dropped my parents' 2012 Chevy suburban off at Sapaugh for a cylinder 1 misfire. They contacted us and said that the vehicle is throwing 3 codes and they have to run more diagnostic testing to determine what the cause of the misfire is. They did say that one of the codes is for an oil pressure sensor, but we told them not to replace it at that time. A few days later, they called me at work and let me know that the afm lifter on cylinder one is bad and has to be replaced. They stated that if we only replace one of the lifters, the rest of them will go out, and the cost of replacing all 8 lifters was $2700. We told them to go ahead and replace the lifters. After they finished putting the suburban back together, they called us to tell us that the lifter they replaced was bad and they have to redo it. After they had the vehicle for a little over a month, we picked the suburban up. It cost $2400 and some change. Within 2 weeks, we had to return it for the same cylinder 1 misfire. They contacted my husband and told him the reason it is showing the cylinder 1 misfire is because of a vloam. They replaced it and test drove it, but the vehicle did the same thing when the technician went to test drive it. Sapaugh then tried to charge us $522 to replace the vloam after they already charged us $2400 for the lifters. They then told my husband that they have to reach out to GM, the manufacturer, to see what is wrong with the suburban because they don't know what is wrong with it. A week went by and we still haven't heard anything from them. When I contacted them, they said someone would get back to me later that day. My husband was then notified that we needed to put a new motor in the suburban because the oil pressure sensor is what caused the issues and that they never should have given a warranty on the lifter they changed. After they told my husband that the motor needed to be replaced, my mom contacted the service manager and he told her that they would apply the $2400 we already paid and the vloam and labor cost to the labor of putting in the new motor, which would be around $5400 before tax since they were not able to fix the issue. The service manager was consistent in saying that the issue is because of the oil pressure sensor, while the advisor kept telling us they didn't know what the issue is. When my husband went to pick up the suburban today, Sapaugh tried to charge us for half of the vloam, but my husband told them no, that they agreed to eat the cost of the vloam since they changed the part and did not know what was wrong with it when they replaced it. They didn't let my husband pick up the suburban without payment, so he left and we filed a report against them with the Highway Patrol Department.
