I was scammed by www.savethedeals.com and was robbed of $35 and in order to prevent further scamming by them I had to replace my debit card. This company and business is a scam. I have emailed repeatedly to politely ask for my money back and they are conveniently ignoring me. I want others to be aware that they are a TOTAL SCAM.
I reported this to my bank how SAVETHEDEALS.COM was taking money out of my account. I agreed to pay $1 for my $35 voucher. I was told to pay at the store the $35 and email the receipt to get credit. This smells like a scam to me. I tried emailing them with no reply from them. They have drawn two lots out of my account $35.90 and $34.90 . To prevent anymore scamming I changed my card. They are saying in all their pages the conditions are visible not true so be careful with this Company.
I also have had the same thing happen to me. I booked a hotel through Amoma.com around February 2015, and I agreed to pay an extra $1. They charged me an extra $34.90 on top of that when I made the booking. They then began taking $34.90 each month from my credit card under the name "SAVE THE DEALS". I did not authorise any of these extra payments. I am now in the middle of a dispute with them through my credit card company and have had to block my credit card so they will not be able to continue to take money from it. I will wait and see if I get my money back but somehow I doubt it. There is no transparency to this and I was never aware at any time that I was agreeing for them to take money from my credit card every month. THIS IS JUST A BIG SCAM and needs to be stopped.
The same thing happened to me when I gave my credit card details to "save the deals", believing it was only going to cost me $1.00. Except that it came up on my bank statement as Coffee-Box (in Paris). I cancelled my card and ordered a new one as soon as it happened, so at least they wont be able to steal any more from me. My bank told me that it will be investigated by the fraud team. Its good to know I'm not the only one. If its happened to many people, it should be easier for the fraud team to catch them.
They took $37.11
Looking at the posting dates, it looks like they have been robbing people for 4 years now. I hope they get caught very soon and I hope get my money back, as I am an impoverished student and the $37.11 they took was my food money for last weekend :(
I just got this too and an offer of a new Samsung s9 mb and I get it for one dollar and just pay 34.95 a month for save the deals. Is a scam or not do I get a free mb. I thought I'd check it out before giving my bank details and saw this about it scamming people for 4 years. Wow there cheeky.
Yes I have just been scammed also from this shonky mob. Instead of taking $1 out of my account they took $37.06.
This is now July 2019 and these shonks are still operating. If something looks too good from now on I will be extremely careful. I have already cancelled my card. I rang the number on the email and I got an extremely rude man telling me that it was some other type of company. Karma will eventually get them.
I have just been had by these fraudsters.
I was advised I'd be charged $1 but after looking at my bank records it showed $35.90. I tried to end the "subscription" but the site kept saying to "enter a valid email address". I emailed them only to get a reply saying their mailbox was full.
I cancelled my card and since the transaction is still pending the bank should be able to stop it going through.
These people are evil and will have no intention of giving you anything. It's a great scam and I'm amazed it hasn't been stopped yet.
Reading the comments. It's 2023 and they are still operating?! same thing. I was lured to get the $1 deal. Received an email saying the registration was not complete. But how come they were debiting my account for the past 5 months without me knowing. If this is legal, they should have atleast sent me a an email that i successfully subscribed to their scam. I didnt received any official receipt also. This is so frustrating. They dont even have any contact number to contact them diretly. Just an email which is not responsive!
