SeniorPeopleMeet.com Renewal without my permission

I had specifically set my automatic renewal status to NO since i was not meeting enough men on this site. They renewed it anyway. They said that i went in and re-subscribed which i did not and they would not give me a refund. I have had to cancel my debit card in order to prevent them from putting further charges on my card.

SeniorPeopleMeet.com What Dating Sites Don't Want You To Know

My account user name harmonyoflov to ''seniorpeplemeet'' I have cancel my subscription with ''seniorpeoplemeet on the 3-8-2013 and deleted my acount.I believe ''senior peoplemeet'' are fraudulents and unprofressional with members pretenting to be the person in their picture and pretenting like they are interested in you but is only a scam just to keep you going and make you think people are interested in you to keep you on their web site longer for your money. What I find is a shame innocence people like my self and others who waste their time and didn't recieve honest service but just blank pictures are members pretenting like they are interested in you.How is it that all those people who join ''seniorpeoplemeet''claim to be serious and meet new people and you hear nothing back from them.Seniorpeoplemeet concern is not about helping you find someone but is only for your money.I oppose to have this web site ''seniorpeoplemeet written in a complaint and request my information along with my photos do not be use in any way for indentity theft are scams purposes out side of the united states are within the united states for any reason. If I believe are find if my information is being use in any way.I will oppose a law suit against this web site''seniorpeoplemeet.

I have been scammed by cupid.com as well. It seems to be most of these sites are operating from abroad (UK, Cyprus, etc.) fouling people . Better to do search before to involve in getting full membership.

Thought I would chime in. I have read many nicely written profiles by women in the VT., N.H., Mass and CT. Areas and by those in other areas of the U.S. and Canada. I am NOT a Paying Member. I Live in a small City in N.H. and registered with this site in the hope
of finding a Decent Woman who is not a Gold Digger, not on Drugs, Not a Mental Case and Not a Bar Fly Either. I have taken many hours to write a decent profile and actually posted recent photos of myself on their site. I seem to have many Flirts or Messages that
were directed my way. BUT because I am not a Paid Member, I cannot Open any of them. I had thought of Using a Money Order for
the Special Rate for 6 months in order to find out who wrote me and see if I could make a Connection with some decent woman locally.
I had written several emails to their Office and Let them know, I know I have seen Many Photos of the Same Women on their Other Sites... SeniorPeopleMeet, Marriage Minded People Meet, etc. They all have the Same Mailing Address in Texas. I have read other people's complaints of these "Scammers" taking their Checks and Credit Card Monies and they were never Cancelled and they were taken by both the Owners / Operators of SeniorPeople Meet and People who are Supposed Scammers on there. I am NOT a Scammer but Legit. Divorced without any family, Just turning 63 in October forced to Retire. My Career was in Law Enforcement and
I have two college degrees. According to many people who complained. I should NOT even Bother Trying to Invest in a better Future. Comments ?

SeniorPeopleMeet.com unarthorized drafting

DO NOT SIGN UP for this dating site. I elected to try the 30 day plan to evaluate whether it would be worth using it longer. I paid a one time higher rate for only using it for 30 days or so I thought only one time. That was in August, I was billed again without my authorization so I called their 800 customer service line where the nice lady said that they automatically renew the service.. it was in the fine print . I said I do not want the service but she said she could not refund the money but assured me that it would be stopped and it would not happen again, yea right. Next month they drafted my account again. ( I have not been on the site at all) When I called again, this time I was told that they renew again so that I would not have interrupted service. I told this woman that I had not been using the site was assured it would not happen again and wanted my money refunded; she laughed and hung up. I called back and asked where the were located and wanted to talk to a supervisor, The man said Costa Rica and then put me on hold. No one ever picked up my call. I finally went to my bank where they said the only way that the bank can stop it is to change my account number of 14 years and issue me a different debit card. In the future, the bank suggested using a regular credit card than my bank debit card. Unfortunately now anything set up for my account also has to be updated. hat a waste of time... their service, customer service from out of the country and a complete financial scam set up. PLEAS DO NOT USE IS DATING SERVCE, it will be a waste of time and they will steal your money.

SeniorPeopleMeet.com It doesn't say 6 months $12.99 a month

If you get an email and want to read it or even just see who its from, a pop up comes up and the first and cheapest option is 6 months $12.99. PLEASE NOTE: IT DOES NOT SAY 6 MONTHS $12.99 A MONTH! You therefore think it is costing you $12.99 to join for six months.

Not only that, but all of the men who contacted me within the hour I was at the site, either couldn't write without sounding like they were speaking broken English or without sounding like they were a pervert.

It says very clearly 12.99/month for 6 months in big bold red letters. I just went to check it out and it is there, bold as anything. It also states underneath that in brackets, "Billed in one payment of $77.94 plus tax"

The site is very clear.

SeniorPeopleMeet.com Scammed my credit card

www.SeniorPeopleMeet.com is a national dating site for seniors. They do not have a 3 day cancellation policy. In fact, they do NOT even have a same day cancellation.

If they had a valid business, they would have telephone number on their website but they do not. However, I was able to obtain the telephone number from the BBB. Their corporate has a LA, CA address and the telephone number is 866/727-8920.

I wish I had read the customer reviews on the web before giving them my credit card number on 1 24, 2012. I have been advised by my bank to cancel my card and obtain a new card number because SPM.com has a reputation for billing each month and refusing to stop billing. be careful, if you are attractive, they will also leave your profile as active so they have a few profiles that aren't frightening to view.

SeniorPeopleMeet.com Scammers on-line

I joined this site in Oct. 2011 - From the very beginning I encounted 8 scammers in a row ! Unbelievable number don't you think ? On the 9th I really thought that I was talking to the man in the profile - I had checked his info all the way and it all matched and looked good. Atter 6 weeks of e-mailing & Talking he had a monetary problem and that started the ball rolling. I am now out over $ 10000.00 and he is still calling and e-mailing and asking for money . I sent info to the FBI office in Miami and also repors to Dateline NBC.com hoping that Chris Hansen would pick up my story. As of this date there is no reply yet. These people should be shut down completely.Thank-You Barbara

your complaint was very interesting to say the least. I logged on to the Senior People Meet chatline, but I was only there for a couple of minutes before they were asking me to subscribe before I could chat with anyone. That was the end of that! I thought it was a free website. I can believe that there are many men who are looking for someone to take care of them & to send them money. That's the way it is these days. Get used to it and BEWARE!

SeniorPeopleMeet.com These guys are not looking for a date but for someone to rip off

I agree, seniormeet is a rip off and they trick seniors into believing its free when it is not. They hook you in and then tell you it's free but then they need $11.95 a month for you to view messages. When you give them your card, they charge $75.00. What a rotten thing to do to seniors. Many of the men on the site are dangerous predators who have cut and pasted stock photos of nice looking American men, but when you engage them in conversations they can't even write in english. They always are in love at first site and want to talk off site with your phone number and personal information required. Be careful, these guys are not looking for a date but for someone to rip off.

Just a warning. Apparently senior people meet will automatically renew every 6 months. I found this charge that went through today in the amount of $97.00. I looked for a phone number to call and immediately cancel this program, seeing as the new period would start today. Of course there is no phone number. I emailed them and I get back some generic email that tells me that it will be cancelled after 184 days. Called my bank and they gave me a phone number. Surprise its a recording. Don't sign up for this service unless you feel $97.00 every 6 months is worth it. By the way, I never did find this service helpful or worth the 97.00.

SeniorPeopleMeet.com Lack of secure website-Unethical billing

Because of some insecurity at the SeniorPeopleMeet website, my account was hacked. The company only would revive my account if I got a new email address, which I did. Then they said they needed the first and last four of my credit card to make the switch. The next thing they wanted the first six and the last four. At that point I decided that either the support group I was talking to was not really the real company or the company was attempting steal my identity. But there was no way to contact them directly and actually speak to a person. So I have given up on the account, and will have to go through my credit card company to get my money back...

unfortunately, I had a date and couldn't get access to the information to cancel it politely, so the person will assume that I am a deadbeat.

SeniorPeopleMeet.com phishing scams

I had just the worst experience with SENIORPeoplemeet.com I made a suposed connection with someone in South Africa (sound familiar?) the sting would have been to send money so she could come to the states, ha. I then recieved several other phishing messsages all directing me to an exteral email and instant messaging. Finally my member account was broken into and as the web site put it, "comprimised".
I have demanded a refund of my fee. Upon joining I was also charged a few dollars more then the quoted price, something about a renewal fee. before I
even renewed?
Stay away from this dating site!

i joined SeniorPeopleMeet on February 21 and received several flirts. I contacted 1 gentleman and we actully went out and met in a public place. He was very nice and we had a great daytime date. We just did not connect again, and that was cool. Next, on March 9 I rec'd 3 flirts from Tarheel48 (or maybe it was 46) showing an interest. I viewed his profile and quickly an IM came in on the chat site. We chatted for a couple of days and voila! he suddenly was in love with me and could not live without me. He suggested we quit SPM and move to IM on Yahoo. He chatted with me excessively. Then he "won a private construction contract in Nigeria and was leaving soon." How he would miss me. Next I rec'd a next day delivery live miniature rose bush, teddy bear and chocolates at my home address. He was going to leave that night for Nigeria. OK, this is less than a week of chatting. My grown son brought me up to speed on internet site scams. All the women who complained about SPM said exactly the same thing...construction job in Nigeria, flowers, bear, and then they go in for the kill. The guy started texting my cell phone (no voice calls, tho) and wanted me to get online. This happened at 2:30 in the morning. I was already on to him but wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Sure enough, his story was that Nigerian banks would not cash his money orders and he was unhappy after 4 days and crying and wanted to come home. I told him to contact the American Embassy which he refused to do. Then he asked if I can help him with "foodstuffs". I told him no and have not heard back from him. For you ladies: The name he uses is Chet Parker from Byron, Georgia, USA. pchet46@yahoo.com...PLEASE BEWARE. The pictures on the site of this guy are like WOW! But I am sure that is not the guy doing the scamming. He may not even know his identity has been compromised. He's on several sites even. I contacted the police dept in Byron and gave them a heads up. I feel so vulnerable and exposed and stupid and sad, all at the same time. I will never join another site as long as I live. Also, my criteria was for Texas...how the heck did people start contacting me from other states. I should have seen it right off the bat when one of his messages said something about us being separated by oceans...last I remember, there is no ocean between Texas and Georgia. Also he liked rhymes and poems. I have read several other SPM complaints from Ladies, as I said earlier, and they all complained about the same thing, the same wording, the same "gifts". Don't put yourself on display for others to take advantage of you. And guys, you too. My son was scammed by a woman from South Africa too. Thank God we were smart enough to not fall completely prey to these scammers. I would have never given out any money anyway. I have had a full range of emotions in 1 week's time. Short-lived happiness, sadness, hurt, fear. Find another way to date. This ain't the way, folks. I'm still considering turning all the chat messages over to the FBI and see if they are able to break this ring.

SeniorPeopleMeet.com RIP OFF!

STAY AWAY...RIP OFF.. I received a email offering 3 day free trial. I made a profile and got mail immediately...couldnt see or respond as they now wanted $19.95 for a month (full refund if contact them in 3 days), so I joined

they charged me $23.98! You cant call them, you cant find a email on the site to write to, but I did find the parent company and complained. They said there is a processing fee that I had to pay..I smartly had printed out the order page and sent it along to them...IT DOESNT SAY A FEE AT ALL and secondly I am requesting a refund within the 3 day period!. They wrote back that my request for a refund will go to a supervisor for review and they will get back to me in 3 days? I have instituted a dispute with charge card company! STAY AWAY..DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

My struggle to try to convince you to ENLARGE the print of the e-mail through your site seems to be futile. I CAN'T SEE IT TO READ IT! What is it about that that you don't get? I'm tired of saying please, you don't care anyway. I'm not the only one that has a problem with you, but they have complained with no satisfaction. You also interrupt almost every e-mail I try to write, by throwing in another screen for me to read, like my in-box of my e-mails...Why do you jack us around? Is you job so boring that you have nothing better to do? Cut it out and start being professional. Grow up. Jane Frazier

When I get an e-mail, the print is so small I'm unable to read it. I have complained before, but you must not care because it goes on unresolved. I'm not the only one who has a problem with this, but, like I said, you must not care. FIX IT!

I signed up for the $12.95 trial and was charged two fees. One for $19 and another for $83. Apparently they automatically sign you up for auto renewal and they have a NO refund policy. These are SCAMMERS. I called and got a very rude and arrogant woman and ended up hanging up on her. Big time rip off!

common sense whenever you have a offer that says free trial for 3 days and you in turn give them a credit card you are likely going to be charged the cost of the site for them to manipulate it and a fee to process the order... There are always some processing fee involved in those businesses... You should have sought a free Senior site... I am sure there are many of them there...Instead, without wasting your money you could have gone to the local book stores like Border's or Barnes and Noble and find a senior/mate... So many places w/o the cost of being ripped off by the technology medium like the internet..you should know better than that, being a senior..your Daddy didn't raise no fool, did he..

SeniorPeopleMeet.com Malicious users

I have becom suspicious of certain users of the SeniorPeopleMeet.com social dating site for seniors. Being a male, I have had women contact me or send me messages, then quickly want me to move on to having a phone conversation with them. Then when I call, I have actually had them say "You must have the wrong number" or similar. Also, one member set up a time to call me at a specific time, like -- "Shortly after 9:00 this evening." The result is that this person never made this call as promised and I am left waiting for an hour or more as she apparently plays a game with me. Then, there are ladies who do not post any type of Profile/Statement about themselves, but simply post their name without any picture, and the only thing they enter into the Profile/Statement is: "Send Me A Message."

I think that the people who run SeniorPeopleMeet need to evaluate their site closer, require each user to provide a phone call line (not for public view, but to verify their existence), and when entering a Profile of themselves, be required to include at least 1 picture and an ansere to the 3 relatively easy sections of their Profile/Statement so that a user of the opposite sex does get an idea of the type of person being viewed, so that one does not have to arbitraily "Send a Message" to someone he/she does not know anything about.

I had two men contact me and when I wrote back it was a completely different picture and information was different also. What can be done about this? It was Rogersmokey1 I was contacted on March 27, 2016, He was 70 years old from Grove City OH he was a widower and I was interested in him. I texted him back and today March 28 a completely different person and his age was 60 with different pics. Please get back to me about this. The other incident happened about two weeks ago so I no longer have the info.

I agree with all these comments above, I experienced the same from dating sites. It happened to me three times since Jun 2010. August- September2011, October -Nov. 2011. 1- One man from England showed interest in my person by my profile professing a dieing love with multiple love letters and a promise to come into Boston to meet me soon it will be possible. He said to me that he was an civil Engineer from England divorced with one girl who lived with him, and that he had done some works into USA, and still has some money to be collect from his last job in the Country. He tried very hard to convince me to open a credit card from the Chase bank for me to received his money, and then, I will need to send it back to him. He also promised me that he will pay all my bills in return. I never let him to advance on that deal with me telling him that USA always paid its Jobs compromises and that it is hard to believe, and that I am a citizen in here and will not run into federal troubles cleaning money for nobody. Then, suddenly, he had a Job in Africa to build a building in there, e-mails letter came in everyday for one months until he developed another trouble in there. Someone stole his business money and he needed 2 thousand from me to buy some goods. He lost his times trying to get money from me and stopped all communication with me saying that if I didn't trust him, there will be not love. He name? Donald Duke in the site waring a nice glasses.

Case #2, Another white man nice looking guy, showed out in my page with the same attitude, but saying that he was from New Jersey USA, and at that moment was living in Fl. That he was a widow, by the way, I do not know how all this widow men exist in a dating site, all the women are dying so soon leaving a young man with only one child?
This new man, after three weeks, even proclaimed in my face book page that he was engage with me after learned that i was in there. people were congratulating me for the good news. One day he awakened in England doing a millionaire business and from there he will come into Boston to meet me. But his millionaire business ended up in needs of 2 thousand dollars to pay the custom to free the goods. He asked me for that money in different ways, but feared trying. The same result, he stopped communication saying that everything seems like our relation are not going to work because I do not trust him. after I said to him that I do not know him, that we never meet and he is trying to get money from a senior, that I will never pay a man for love. Maybe he was the same man from case 1. His name, Robert Adamsky, both from the Badoo site.

case #3, was similar, a handsome young man 49, I tell him that I was a senior and he was too young. So that he need to keep looking. but he insist and sent me a bunch of mails that seen been taken from a poem book rather than been wrote for me, and all letters from all cases look similar, a poem. He was suddenly in a need of traveling into the European Gulf because he was an black oil control over the sea personnel, but the platform broke and he needs also $ 2, ooo, oo dollars because he boss was unable to handle it at the moment. a no, no from me and that was all, he never communicate with me, but I let in his page all what I was thinking about him. This one entered my face book page asking for friendship but turned it into an attacked. His name Michael Hudson. I hope this will help,

And in the other hand, the senior people meet.com site, I signed in after these trouble encountered in my past, and I had paid 5 months with not lucky enough because even though my profile establish that I am a catholic woman with dogs fears, most of my match send to me for the site, are non catholic men with a dogs in their daily life. and with a eager for adventures, non a quite nice sweet elderly life which is my needs. I do not know how this site match people. The Catholic one are non living near by. I am thinking in withdraw myself from it this month too. No protection for a senior in here neither, men are searching for easy day without complications, and the one that are goods, are far away from Boston. I received scam pharmacy business from Canada too in this site. so, wasting money. have a nice Valentine's day all.

I also have had this experience with dating sights. The single father wh lost his wife blah blah blah. If you get an e-mail with someone proffesing their love for you after only reading your profile..RUN as fast as you can. If anyone asks for money for any reason, again RUN. There are many predators out there with local addresses that are working out of Nigeria...Africa etc. I learned my lesson the really hard way, so please beware.

Have met a man onsite who claimed to fall madely in love after viewing my profile and my photo. For about a week he kept sending me love messages, also telling me how he lost his wife and daughter in car wreck, and one surviving daughter named Sandra was in nursing school. He supposedly was into engineering/architecture, which if you notice about 1 in 3 are in same field. A week after we began exchanging email suddenly he got job overseas and was leaving that night. The next day I receive an email from the daughter Sandra, claiming they had been sightseeing and been mugged and beat up by local thugs and they stole all their money and credit cards. In addition, during incident her fathers leg was broken badly and needed surgery, but with no credit cards or money, and since he cannot access money back in states, he needs me to send $3, 500 so he can have surgery, then the daughter signs it "Know you will help MOM". I immediately blocked them from access to my profile and email and thought I had learned hard lesson. The very next day, I am looking through new profiles and there is the same picture, same home town but with different name and now has a son instead of daughter. I immediately reported to customer service who removed his profile and said they would investigate. Tried to follow up to find out results of investigation, but was told they were handling it and that was all they would say. Unfortunately, not my only bad experience with this site, have experienced messages with graphic sexual comments and questions.

What a scam! My profile was viewed over 60+ times and out of those almost 10 of them were scammers...asked for my email address, wanted me to come and meet them (in another state) and so on and so forth. Come on, this was just too much. I also found that this is a partner of MyLife.com which use to be called Reunion. I am going to do a little more research...

SeniorPeopleMeet.com No Customer Service Response to Protect Privacy Situation

Someone got into my account and changed my email address and password making it impossible for me to sign on. I contacted the company my website to sys admin as well as email sent. I received a computer generated response to the problem.

I feel this needed immediate attention, I cannot get a response to the problem nor can I get into my account that is still active.

This is very distrubing as this account it has personal information and they do not care.

I signed up and paid thru my credit card on Aug. 20th. After I logged off, went to get back on the next morning and...couldn't access my account. Contact SeniorPeopleMeet and received a generic letter stating there was a problem with my email address. I know for a fact, this is a LIE. Only b/c I type my email address in slowly while watching the screen. And, not only did I type it in once, it requests you type it in again to confirm the address. Now, the email I received states, I have to call a 1-866
number. So, I did...and guess what...the first day and after numerous tries, I could NOT get anyone to answer. The 2nd day, it finally went thru...BUT... to a damn machine asking me to wait. Sat on my phone for almost 25 mins and still NO ONE came on to help me resolve the problem. WHAT KIND OF COMPANY IS THIS AND HOW IN THE HELL DO THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS?

I am not happy with this company at all. Not with the people on the site, I had met several very nice women. I have had an issue with getting locked out of logging in. Now I look really stupid to those that I wish to talk to. The company has not responded and I am really pissed off! I will be following up with the links provided. Thanks to the one who posted the info!

FYI - Senior People Meet is only ONE of the dating sites owned by MEDIA PEOPLE, they run over 40+ online dating sites.
If you want a refund you MUST FILE A COMPLAINT w/the DALLAS BBB to get resolution. I received a refund AND apology w/in 3 weeks after filing my complaint online. The company doesn't want bad press so they'll resolve things promptly, but you HAVE to file a complaint w/the right gov't agency. * * * * BBB link - https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started

ALSO file a complaint w/the TX State Attorney Generals' Office - * * * * https://www.oag.state.tx.us/consumer/complain.shtml
I spoke to the consumer protection specialist who told me basically, only when enough people complain will The TX State Atty General will take action until then it's biz as usual. The Atty Gen Off NEED to hear from us ALL on this matter.

So take back your power, put your tax dollars to work and go file those complaints! PLUS the BBB will downgrade the web profile they have for Media People and others will be able to see their poor customer service record, just like companies see credit reports on us! As of now there is NO online rating on the BBB site for Media People, they're in the shadows - ck it out at the BBB website: http://www.bbb.org/dallas/business-reviews/dating-service/people-media-in-dallas-tx-90248947

The law can only help us [as consumers] if we use it - so let's use it to help ourselves and each other!

Good Luck Everyone!

I am the same coolallene1 who contacted you about the rightfield396/m.benson1047@yahoo.com ! I do think rightfield was the scammer but have b een in an on-going messaging relationship with, m.benson1947@yahoo.co but on thurs, the 16th, he ask me for a $5000.00 loan. He was supposeably working in some ABram country to built a power generator for a solar system ! He says hes from Jacksonville, Florida and lives with his son Collins! After, asking for the money, of course, I turned him down! He became very upset so i went on the web to look up m.benson1947 which led me to a SCAMMERS web site to find out that m.benson is a Cedric Williamson, age 65 from Victoria, Australia whose web site is: http://www.starnow.co.nz/cedricwilliamson who happens to b e a model/actor/lawyerand etc. The mans face is the same mans face in photos that m.benson send me so im so confused and dont know if they are the same man but the point is _he tried to scam me so please check on this for me! GraceCmorgan@yahoo.com I m about to just go off the senior people meet site when you can check on it! I have been ask for money 5 times so to me its all a SCAM and people should be somehow screened! I am coolallene1 on your site ! On the 31 of July, I ask a RIGHTFIELD396 to please furnish a photo so in a short while, 3 photos were emailed to me, stating he was m.benson1947@yahoo.com, then we started messages to each other with me thinking he and this Rightfield396 were one and the same ! The, as im on the site, really started realizing that rightfield396 photo on your site were totally different than those emailed to me! So, at this point im not sure if THEY are one in the same or who is the scammer ? I did go on the site yesterday on rightfield, asking him was he m.benson, he stated that, m.benson is the scammer but when i just went on rightfields profile, a few minutes ago, looked at All my messages to m.benson, they, indeed are on rightfields site! Im so upset, to the point of tears so who is who or are they both the Same person? All I wanted t do is meet a decent guy but im almost at the piont of going off the site, TOTALLY ! Would you please check on this just to clear and ease my mind ! Sincerely, In CHRIST, CoolAllene1

Seniorpeoplemeet.com is the biggest rip off site for the mature singles. I thought it would be better as the age range would give me a broader spectrum than the usual. Well, many people on this site are only members, but not paying members, and that simply means that they cant "write you" but only flirt. Also, you can't tell the difference, non paying or...
