mid-day - repeats of boring movies
Hi, I am really annoyed that channel 7 is tha main provider of mid-day movie entertainment. I am so over seeing the same movie every couple of months, out of all the movies made - why do we get so many repeats? Please stop with the old boring, repetitive movies !
unethical behaviour during the program
I have noticed that on numerous occasions there is an unfair disadvantage to the contestants during the final chase. When andrew o'keefe answers correct to their responses he does so in a drawn out way but when the chaser is answering his questions he says the word correct much more quickly. He also reads the questions to the chaser much quicker therefore giving the chaser more time effectively to answer than the contestants. I believe that many more contestants would have won if he had been reading the questions to them at the same speed as to the chaser and also saying "correct" at the same speed also. I find it very disappointing that this obvious difference in timing has been able to go on for so long. There is a definite disadvantage to the contestants and this should be rectified as soon as possible to make the game fair for all..
The show is not about O'Keefe, watch the English Version and you will find it much more enjoyable, funny and fairly balanced, it is about the contestants and the Chaser, not the host.
Nobody I know likes O'Keefe in the role. He is forever posturing for the camera, has no humour, an obvious forced laugh and puts me totally off watching the show even though I like the format and really enjoy the British show. You can tell the chasers from the UK are equally underwhelmed. He is an embarrassment who apparently thinks the whole show is about him and not the chasers and contestants. Very poor choice that has ruined the show! I might add this view is supported by every person I speak to when it comes up in any conversation.
I am so sick of Andrew O'Keefe. He is totally wrong for the chase. He has no personality. It's all about him. He is the only one who thinks he's funny. Please get rid of him. I know a few people who won't watch the show (who are great fans of the English version ) because of him. Me included. Ever thought of Sam Mac ? Personality plus.
afl/sunrise
Tried to watch afl final but could not get into it as whenever a point was scored there was an ad. It seems living in queensland channel seven thinks you are not interested in the game as through out the year they don't put all the games on. Essendon games are few and far on your channel and you advertise that you are the number one channel for afl. What a joke. I am trying to stay with Sunrise but the way Natalie, Sam and Kochie talk over each other is very, very annoying. I stay only because of Edwina and Berets. Edwina is so professional. I was so happy for her when you selected her for Dancing with the Stars. The sunrise team could take a leaf out of Sarah and Ita's books on Studio Ten. I have watched hannel seven a lot over the years but i think you are losing it a bit especially when it comes to ads, far to many. Half the time i think there is about 15mins of a show which is supposed to be on for an hour.
racing/betting coverage preliminary final.
The subtle and relentless conflation of football commentary interspersed with feeds about horse racing is a stupud, the common denominator simply being betting.
The warped thinking in this approach is that because sports fans like football well hell, we'll make them like racing too.
And betting.
And booze.
I back the horses every time.
Generous, sober, loyal.
Unlike the paid talking heads you employ whose career is predicated on selling anything that moves.
Footballers or horses. Who cares? You better hope you don't diminish the aussie sporting obsession by reducing every sporting contest to a simple bet.
Soon your viewers will be unable to work out what constitutes a horse or a footballer.
Was that two legs/kegs or four?
Ah who cares.
not the boy next door
Just finished watching "Not the Boy next door". How disappointing it was to have it cut right at the end to an ad-break and go straight into a new show. What you must think of your audience to do that is appalling. You must think we are all goldfish that will automatically start watching whatever comes next. Not the boy next door was a great mini-series focusing on one of our biggest icons. Love to know the inept fool whose decision it was to cut midway through the closing scene to go to an ad-break. What a lack of sense of occasion you have. As if repetitive ad breaks blasting out at 3 times the noise level during the actual show isn't enough. I hope I'm not the only one that had a bad taste left in my mouth from this incredibly poor timing.
massive incompentence by ch7
I always believed I would never do this but CH7 is beyond infuriating with a long list of incompetencies which I would like to see addressed. I was under the apprehension that CH7 were here to provide information and entertainment to the public but seem incapable of hitting the mark... So here is a simple guideline for you to follow, so that you can actually offer a reasonable service:
1) Buy a clock and then use it to keep programs to time. I am tired of having to set my recorder for an extra 15 minutes each time and still miss the end of the film. How much time should we be leaving to cover your incompetence? The movie on Saturday started 22 minutes late, and again I missed the ending...Should I bother with your Channel in future?
2) Explain to your commentators and comperes of sporting and live shows that they should refrain from the complete and utter drivel and inane comments that blow out the timeframes. We do not watch the show to listen to them and they are not particularly entertaining. And b) reduce the number of ad breaks so that you remain on time.
3) Try to keep your program segments longer than your ad breaks - you struggle with this.
4) Have someone cue your ads so that we don't have the same ad shown 15 times during a program (sometimes twice in the same ad break) - this does not encourage us to buy the product and is usually the reverse.
5) The same goes for your advertising of upcoming programs which you show ad nauseum and makes the viewer even less interested in the program due to the boredom threshold already having been reached.
6) Give your voice over agents the boot. Your overuse of hyperbole when mentioning any upcoming program is pathetic. Not every program is "the most gripping episode ever", the "most exciting/most unbelievable/most dramatic ever seen in the history of television".
7) Please show your editors how to edit programs going into ad breaks as they regularly cut off the last sentence of a person speaking so that they can rush into the ad. This is also the same for credits at the end of the film being shown, where we might like to know who might have been in a particular role.
8) If you are going to air an episode of a program please include information such as the Series No and the Episode No so that we do not continue to record (and then delete) the same episodes over and over again, since there is no way to know what we will be watching each time a repeated program is on. This is particularly important since you repeat the programs again and again between CH7, 7TWO and 7MATE.
9) Please employ people with an education who have a grasp of grammar, spelling, and pronunciation as many of your presenters are quite good at mangling the English language. This includes understanding the difference between back-to-back episodes, a double episode, and a movie-length episode. Believe it or not, they are different.
10) Finally, if you really want to get your programming back on track, why not get someone from the public to run the station (call it your newest reality program) as I am sure they would probably do a better job - or hire a chimpanzee..
channel 7 a place to call home
I was really upset and disappointing to see that the fabulous series of A Place to Call Home is now only going to be available to the elite that can afford Foxtel unfortunately I am not one of them so I guess the quality of channel 7 programs that are worth watching will all be going the same way "so much for free TV" as if a program not being as long as the adverts that interrupt it isn't enough, and I do realize that is the massive price we already pay to get Free TV. Just getting into a storyline when an advert comes on.
Anyway I just would like to say how disappointed I am.

cut out large segments of program
In the Foyle's War broadcast on 18 Aug 2015 (episode on stolen fuel) large swathes of the episode were cut (I assume to fit in more ads) which totally destroyed the storyline. The whole segment involving Sam breaking into the safe and finding how they fuel was being stolen as well as the whole segment on the 'capture' of Sam and the attempted bombing of the fuel depot was completely omitted. So much was left unexplained because so much of the program was taken out. Shame on Channel 7.
Please Channel 7. Do not butcher the show so much from now on.
commentate the football please
Can the Channel 7 Saturday night commentary team of Darcy, Taylor, Richo and Special Comments man Ling please remember that they are being paid to commentate the game we are viewing. They continually get lost in conversation between each other about footy matters, whilst the ball is in play. It appears they sometimes forget they are not sitting in a pub talking footy. They need to show more discipline when the game is in play and just commentate. They have plenty of time in the pre match, post match and the game breaks to talk other footy stuff. Keep your eyes on the play blokes and dont forget there are people watching and listening
the bogan team of australian supporters at wimbledon
Please, please channel 7 can you stop showing the rowdy, bogan group of Australian tennis fans, who wear yellow t shirts, and are always present at the telecast matches featuring Australian players at Wimbledon. They are loud and extremely annoying and are an unnecessary distraction from the game. Every time I hear them I have to turn off your station because I can't stand hearing the inane noise made by them.
Ive totally turned off SEVEN's Wimbledon coverage which isnt even close to what NINE used to bring us...The loudmouth little rich kids (who else could afford to do this?) who wear their cringeworthy gold and green (one even in color coordinated beach apparel) are the very WORST thing about Wimbledon these days...and I wish Newcombe would stop calling the matches as if we all think the same as him. NO NEWK, A LOT OF US CANT STAND THE BOORISH AND MANIACAL KYRIGOS...This is NOT the Davis Cup and thankyou Mrs Federer for complaining about these people who are so embarrassing for our country. Its got to the point in our house that we are hoping there wont be any Australians left in the second week so we don't have to be witness top endless close-ups of these NOBODY's.
tennis coverage
Why don't you televise the french open tennis?! You show some of wimbledon and even some of the us open (Even though it is only on at 3am!) yet you never show the french even though that is an hour more compatible than wimbledon with the aus timezone!. Perfect for night viewing. It is a big tennis tournament you know. I'm know there are english speaking commentators covering the open. Just because you don't want to pay australian commentators to cover it doesn't mean that you can't buy someone else's coverage. Foxtel has it! If people want to watch wimbledon... The same people will also want to see the french open! More people will watch the french compared to the us open... Yet you televise that. I don't understand why you constantly neglect the french open. Please resurrect this
How do I complain to channel 7 about the new program that's on between 5 and 6 weeknights, The Chaser. Too long - at one hour at that time of night nobody has time to watch an hour long quiz show, the previous format of two half hour shows - ie Million Dollar Minute and Let's Make a Deal were great, half hour lengthy, quick, snappy, people won money quite a lot - the Chaser is stupid it's too contrived, too long - bring back Million Dollar Minute and Lets Make a Deal, lose the CHASER asap !
derogatory judgemental comments
An article on the news was about a man who was knitting food. He was creative and channel 7 did a story on his creativity.
The news reporter said at the end in a judgemental derogatory way "it takes all types", with a condescending tone.
How dare she be so judgemental of someone she is supposed to be reporting without prejudice on.
football commentators
Hi
Being a port supporter when watching the seven coverage of the game the last few games some of the commentators are very one sided they get very excited about their victorian teams and only minor or negative comments about the others a great example is last nights game against hawthorn 25/04/15 bt very passionate about hawthorn to the extent that he was obviously picked up for it and had to make excuses for which didnt fit very well these commentators should be in the crowd with their fellow supporters and not commentating an other commentator that does this consistently is gerard healy even crows supporter get sick of him.
Channel seven please select neutral commentators its getting to the stage where we just turn the sound off and watch your broadcast and listen to the radio im sure your advertisers would like to know that.
Regards a disgruntled watcher of sevens free to air I suppose theres always foxtell
.
This morning on Seven Sunrise there was a story stating how terrible it was that websites such as facebook published the name of the child involved in the stabbing incident at a school in Brisbane. They then went on to show the web page with the name in clear view. On one hand they were stating how bad it was and then on the other they did the same thing! Very very poor form, if not illegal!
Channel seven you are a disgrace.
Why are you showing better homes and garden over a live transmission of the AFL semi final between Brisbane and Western Bulldogs.
Mr Stokes obviously has no interest in sports. If that's the case don't bid for them when they come up for tender.
That goes for all your sports coverage. How hard can it be to show live sport?
It's PATHETIC
Im sick of these religious/ Mormon advertisments they keep putting on tv during primetime .Everytime there is an add on it seems they have to put another one on i'm over it so please take them off and put the "Bugger " ads back on at least they made you laugh.
Why advertise a movie to be on. (Gone in sixty seconds) on Saturday at 9.30pm but then play late replays of tennis instead. I would understand if it was live tennis that ran over planned timing, but not a replay after it wastelevised on the news...
sevens broadcast of the lions game was very bad it was breaking up allover the screen the worst picture ever on the tv
Showing the image of the victim would be highly insensitive, however, the public need to know who the culprit was. His photo should be posted everywhere posible so that people know who this misfit is.
Great work channel seven pay a crap load of money for the rights to the footy and play the game at 12:45am. Great way to promote the great Australian game. Hope the movies pull the ratings. I for one will be going out now instead of be home to watch the footy.
Roddick vs Cilic: 2 sets each, only Channel 7 in Australia, on Australia Day, could pull coverage, without even a back up channel. CHANNEL & SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ANDY MAJOR SPORT COVERAGE GIVEN THEIR CONTEMPT FOR VIEWERS. Absolutely shocking, please don't allow channel 7 to host a major sporting event again
absence of downton abbey season 5
I am really annoyed that latest series of Downton Abbey has not been aired for several weeks and was said to be back on Thursday after Easter, well Easter has come and gone and still no sign of Downton! Will probably have to re watch earlier episodes to remember what happened! Come on channel 7 get your act together!
poor coverage
I have watched the channel seven coverage of the 2014 australian open for four days and you would think there were only 6-10 players involved, especially today the last day as you wouldn't know any other players scores like friends or family participating as they only show top six most times!
Very very very poor, should look dare I say to the us as they at least run scores regularly on the bottom of the screen!
Hopefully another channel will get next years masters and open!

x factor australia voting system
There is reason to believe that overseas voters participated illegally in the voting, manipulating the outcome. There is strong evidence of online collusion, supporting the need for an Audit or Revision of the Voting System. A fair voting system is crucial for the sake of contestants and voters who spend large amounts of money on voting. In Australia, (unlike the UK), an unlimited number of votes can be sent from one phone number, it is vulnerable to abuse if funded by overseas donations.
Itunes Charts is usually a good indicator of a strong fan base willing to buy music, a good way to determine the winner. Many contestants’ songs featured TOP positions on Itunes during the competition; Dean Ray, Brothers 3 & Reigan but the winner did not. Dean Ray had more songs on Itunes during the competition than any other contestant. These charts reflect only the Australian support of contestants. XF Week 5: Contestant positions were revealed in the actual order that the public voted, so this confirms Australian preferences as at 8 Sep 2014: 1 - Brothers 3, 2 - Dean Ray, 3 - Reigan Derry, 4 - Rochelle Pitt, 5 - Marlisa Punzalan
How is it then possible that Marlisa won, even if it was only by a narrow margin of 0.01%? It does not make any sense?
After 8 Sep 2014, multiple discussions on Marlisa's Facebook Page indicate collusion between members of her overseas Filipino and Australian fan base, participating in some sort of financial arrangement to boost Marlisa’s votes. Discussions focused on how to enable the overseas Filipino community to cast their vote within Australia, trying a variety of methods, which included using the xFactor Voting Phone App.

This violates the Rules and Regulations of xFactor that state you must be an Australian resident to vote and also Rule 26 that says the voting system cannot be manipulated in any way.
is the x factor Australia ever coming back? please tell me it will again some time
lack of digital signal
Channel 7,
The signal for your channel is absolute crap!
You need to invest in improving your signals. Your channel is the OLNY channel that has any issues with it's signal. Utterly disappointing when you know your favourite show is on yet can't watch it because it cuts out every bloody second! Very very annoying and EXTREMELY irritating.
Sincerely,
MissPissed0ff
The daytime tv move No way back has alot of swearing in it and now my 2 year old is trying to copy it not impressed middle of the day and all
Channel 7 midday movie 17th is a Russel Crow movie. My problem is that I thought that dropping "F" bombs in daytime tv was not allowed and I find it highly inappropriate!
Channel 7 have been advertising Winners & Losers at 8.30pm Tuesday nights since it was first aired so why the hell since the dumbest talent show (which have no talent) aired it has been put back til 9pm?Take the silly no talent show off and put the Winners & Losers back on 8.30!
What is the go with these pointless Ads? Are they ads? What are they and why are they? You could at least give us some information as to where these pictures are taken. As for this years AFL's coverage... your channel is full of some pointless waste of time programes you could at least show half of the AFL games.
why does afl have the rights to split the v8's into 2 parts its clearly better than airiel ping pong
why did channel 7 even take the v8's from channel 10.channel 10 never did this ever why don't channel 7
just give the car racing back to channel 10 where it belongs.
Absolutely shocking, please don't allow channel 7 to host a major sporting event again.
Apparently there is only one boat racing in the 2009 Sydney to Hobart. The coverage is BIASED toward the boat displaying the Channel 7 logo. Accompanied by atrocious commentary by the idiotic commentators.
For all the friends and family on board the other yachts it is a slap in the face.
Why is there no coverage of the bledisloe cup on channel 7? Melbourne viewers are forced to face a delay of 4 hours to watch the match that is being aired live in Sydney purely so that we can enjoy the likes of films such as Kate and Leopald? Trivial films should not be given priority, supporting our national rugby team should be.
I was shocked to see tonight the airing of "Scary Movie 3". The movie itself is fine... i have no problems... but it clearly mocks Michael Jackson, playing on the well-known accusations towards pedophilia, and the plastic surgery on his face. The man, Michael Jackson, has been deceased no more than 48 hours and this is being aired? It was in bad taste and those responsible should feel remorse for not tending to this.
The signal cannot be any worse than this. I cannot even watch a tennis game. Can you do anything to improve this? It is really bad signal.
reception or lack of
To channel 7 cairns,
You really need to sort out your lack of reception. It's extremely frustrating trying to watch a show that cuts out every bloody second! No other channel has this issue. You're supposed to be delivering a service to the public not infuriating them to the point they want to smash their tv because they can't watch their favourite show because your channel keeps glitching out!
Highly suggest you invest in fixing this issue ASAP or risk loosing viewers such as myself and I'm sure many others agree it's really annoying.
golf coverage
Here I am watching the perth international so I got up to watch the 3 leaders to day whats so bloody annoying you spend so much time advertising other business for god sake just concentrate on the golf coverage sick and tired this and not just me 3 leaders go to tee of on hole 3 I think and you go to bloody adverts gees adverts adverts adverts adverts adverts channel 7 what — - needs a change so behind the times again this is about golf isn't it and how these guys make it look so easy to the normal people and appreciate what these golfers can do.
So who wants to watch adverts adverts adverts.
