Shoppers discount.co.uk have taken for the last 2 months £10 permonth for no reason at all without my permission why are they doing this. I want this to stop and my money paid back into my account. You would need to check with my bank about details.

Shopper Discounts and Rewards Unknown Membership

I saw a debit on my account for $12.00. When I called the service number on my bank statement the rep stated I had been a member since May 09. I immediately cancelled the membership. Overall I think I was scammed by this Online company and would like my $375 dollars returned as I have never used this service or aware it was being debited from my account.

Shopper Discounts and Rewards Unauthorized charges

I never used this company to buy anything from them, but they charged me for $10 without reason. I think this won't happen again.

Hi - I too fell victim this scam via Inteflora (although many other sites do this too). What happens is when you complete the purchase you get an offer of £15 off your next purchase, you complete the simple form and then bang they've got you - all in the small print.
However - FEAR NOT - this is simple to get all your money back.
Compose yourself, read the advice below, practice it and then do the following :-
Call them on [protected] (its free to call) and be polite but forceful. Tell them they have taken money illegally out of your account and you never subscribed to this service. Say "here's whats going to happen - you are going to refund all of my contributions by the end of today otherwise my solicitor will be writing to you first thing tomorrow morning". Don't let them speak or interrupt too much and try and derail you.
They will start by offering you 1 month's refund and then say you'll have to complete a claim form - again be direct and say "I didn't fill in any forms for you to steal my money so I'm not going to fill in any to get it back - if you can't refund my full amount please put me through to a supervisor who can".
I was put on hold for about 30 seconds and then the same operator said they could refund it all. 2 days later the money was put back into my account (and I had 18 months at £10 per month) - the whole £180 refunded straight away.
As I said - the key is to be confident, forceful but polite (don't swear or lose your temper).
Good luck - and I really hope this helps.
Remember - you're not to blame - I've got a university degree, work in the IT industry and use the internet every day and yet still fell foul of it.

Shopper Discounts and Rewards Another debit without authority

We are yet another very angry online user who has been taken for £10 monthly subscriptions. Regrettably the move to online statements with our bank has meant we have not picked up that we have been charged for NINE months-how irritated do we feel? Did we ever agree to these debits-I do not think so!
Has anybody got a running contact at Training Standards on this one or we will start afresh? Totally unacceptable and sharp practice at its absolute worst. Not letting this one drop and needs to be stopped before other people get caught out.

I check my Fathers statements as I help out with his business and managed to catch "shoppers discount" out on charging us for the second month! Will be going into the bank tomorrow to stop this D/D and see if they can do anything about this. If not I will email. Not sure if I fancy typing in the card details over the phone even though they already have the details! My father deleted all the emails thinking they were spam (which they are) so we have no " membership ID number" we would never sign up for such a ridiculous thing. This company needs to be stopped.

I suggest:
1. Contact your bank or credit card issuer to cancel this instruction.
2. You contact Shopperdisc.co.uk and say you want to cancel, and ask how they have registered you. The answer will almost certainly be an online purchase from someone like Interflora, or Amrose Wilson, who have offered a discount off your next purchase if you sign up.
3. Contact the company from which you made your purcahse and complain to them, and tell them that you are no longer going to buy from them.
4 You consider whether to make a claim via the Small Claims Court for refund of the amount, though as this will cost £20 you may not consider it worthwhile.

Shopper Discounts and Rewards unauthorised debit of £10 monthly

When registering for a £15 discount on my next trainline booking, I certainly did not realise that they would continue to withdraw £10 per month on an ongoing basis.

Only by reviewing my bill in detail did I pick this up. Total scam (although clearly within legal regulations) - the individual having to take the action to reclaiming money.

A brief excerpt from my recent call with the company:
'... It's not difficult to claim the money back...', said the man on the phone - "... no it's not difficult, it's just bloody annoying that I have to claim money back in the first place - to have to print off a letter, fill it in, scan it, send it back to you, then wait the 10 days plus that it will take for you to refund my money. In my books, that's a scam - even if the law says it's not..."

Someone needs to take this to the consumer complaints commission...

Annoyed, London.

Ubelievable!"

I am totaly and utterly fuming and so angry that words can't explain...

They started charging me after I purchased tickets for Ryanair...whom I will never fly with in my life again...and the option was that on my next purchase of Ryan air tickets would I like to be considered for a 15% discount...so naturally I said yes...but after the phone call i just had they said this is only a 10 day or a 30 day free trial and after that you are charged 10£ each month untill forever?

This is the best money scaming thing ever...how on earth is this normal...? these people should be prosecuted...

Shopper Discounts and Rewards scam

I have had £10 deducted from my bank account each month since August 22nd 2017.
I do not know who Shopperdic are or how they have been able to do this.
I have tried to email and phone them without success.
My bank are of no help whatsoever and I have spent a considerable amount of money trying to connect with anyone who can help and have just been in a queue waiting until my credit has run out once more.
I am travelling in India and cannot get through by phone to Shopperdisc or to my bank successfully.
Help please.

Shopper Discounts and Rewards unauthorised deductions from my account

I have as many others discovered that this company have been deducting payments from my account. I have never knowingly authorised this & am disgusted. In my opinion this is total fraud. I have contacted [protected]@shopperdiscountsandrewards.co.uk but received no reply. I today phoned the company & further payments have been stopped however I was refused a refund. The male was polite but unhelpful. I am extremely angry that you did not take a complaint from me. I demand a refund as have all other previous complainants.

Apparently when I purchased something on a website called Viva La Diva I unwittingly ticked a box which I now understand was Shopperdisc.co.uk. I thought it was to receive a discount on my next purchase but have now realised they have been taking £10 a month for 24 months therefore £240.00! I am absolutely furious about this and firmly believe it is a scam. I also think Viva La Diva are at fault too for allowing this to happen. Yes we can all say well you ticked the box and should have read the small print but if I thoroughly read every single set of T's and C's I would have no time to go to work!

This company has taken 4 payments of £10.00 from my account i.e. 30.10.11, 31.11.11, 30.12.11 and 30.1.12 I was unaware of these transactions as I was away from home and did not check my bank statements until 9.02.12 when I was issued my latest statement and discovered two transactions on this statement. I contacted my bank and they informed me that this company had previously taken payments from my account. Today I checked my back statements thoroughly and discovered that they had in fact taken £10.00 on 30.10 and 30.11 as well as the latest two i.e. 30.12 and 30.1. I do not know what to do now as I don't know who these people are and therefore have no contact details. Can you help?

Shopper Discounts and Rewards Scam - Charging for unknown payments

I have recently noticed in the last 3 days a pyment being taken from my account in the amount of £10.00 from Shopper Discount & Rewards, I emailed enquiring what this was for as I have never seen the name or compnay before and they stated i signed up after being on Pizza Hut but i do not recall ever doing this. I feel my rights have been violated as I did not ever sign up for this and I have now cancelled it but have lost out and I feel this is wrong.

I recently changed my email address so I got a letter from these people saying they couldnt contact me. On accessing the website I noticed all these complaints about them. I then checked my bank statements and found they'd been taking £10 a month since last May. I've no recall of ever using them! I phoned their automated system but I couldnt get to an advisor because I dont know my membership number. For that reason I couldnt log on. I did manage (I hope!) to cancel the theft from my account but I would like my money back!

Shopper Discounts and Rewards is an out and out scam. Their operation is, I suppose, legal but it is thoroughly dishonest. They manage to con large numbers of people in contributing to their coffers, and it is often months or years before the victims realise that £10 or so is disappearing from their accounts every month! It is high time that the government acted to close them down.

I have just noticed that they have been taken a regular payment of £10 a month from my credit card - an insignificant amount that hardly notices! The telephone number they supply on your statement does not work - try using [protected]. The last number is different. This is the number my bank gave to me. It works and you get through to someone to enable you to cancel your membership and to ask for a refund. However, they only offer 3 months refund. If you push then they will supply you a form to complete to request all payments to be refunded.

"As you requested during a recent contact with our customer service team on 15/08/2011, your membership with Shopper Discounts & Rewards was cancelled and you were provided a refund of your last 3 charges. It is our understanding that you have asked for an additional refund.

If you would still like to seek an additional refund we request that you complete the claim form available on our website. Please print out a copy, complete all details and either fax or post it to us :

Shopper Discounts & Rewards, PO Box 450, Sevenoaks, TN13 9HN.

Fax: [protected]"

GOOD LUCK AND PERSEVERE TO GET WHAT IS OWED TO YOU.

Hope this helps you get your money back.

Hi Archerop,
Thank you so much for your advice. I wrote to them yesterday but they asked for more information. Did it happen to you too? Did they reply and ask you for more information (full address, original email request ... ). I will go to my bank on Monday next week to dispute the charges.
I can't believe this kind of stealing money from people's bank account is still happening given so many people reported it. I don't see it offers any kind of value/benefits but taking people's money without their consent.
Will keep you posted on how this turns out.

Shopper Discounts and Rewards deducting £10 from my account

I have emailed them the following:
On 25th May you debited my Barclays Bank Account with £10. REF 142 [protected] BCC. I have no idea why or what this is for. You also debited £10 on 28th April and I dimly remember visiting your site and understanding that I was paying £10 for a particular service. Please explain and if I have inadvertently signed up for some other service then I wish to cancel it forthwith. Please advise. Richard Jewson.

I signed up to web loyaly by clicking on a link which read;
" your booking is complete, click here to claim your £10 cash back voucher on your next the trainline.com booking"
after completing a purchase from thetrainline.com.

I've recieved loyalty vouchers from the likes of ebay, lovefilm, paypal and national express with no issuse, and although I was naive to input my details and card number, I've never before completed a transation without, my card security code or any security questions.
I wasn't even made aware I authorising a monthly direct debit until AFTER I'd signed up. As there was no link to unsubscibe I had to phone my bank and cancel my card.
A phone number was offered but by then it was obvious to me that webloyalty were basically a scam, so I didn't fancy paying to argue with someone employed to act a barrier between me and my comsumer rights.

Although you do have to be naive to give your details, the "service" seems designed to catch you out and trick you into a transaction, while making it impossibe to cancel. And still attemps to pose as a bonafide company by issuing confusing smallprint as so called "terms and conditions".

I'm pretty sure Web loyalty will be either banned from trading or forced to drastically change how it operates in the near future, and I'm totally appauled that more trusted companies such as thetrainline.com and interflora allow their sites to be infiltrated by these fraudsters.
In my experience, agreeing to any transaction will be precided by a CLEAR description of what you are purchasing, and followed by a CLEAR confirmation of what you have agreed to.
WEBLOYALTY PROVIDE NEITHER. THEY ARE FRAUDULENT, ILLEGAL AND SHOULD BE STOPPED!

Shopper Discounts and Rewards Taking money from my debit card

I recently noticed a charge of £10.00 on my online banking, with the reference to a business named www.shopperdiscounts.com - to which i tracked down to www.shoppersdiscountsandrewards.co.uk - somewhat different!

I rang my partner to check if he had ordered anything - his response was no so at this point we were both confused as neither of us had ordered from this website.I was at work so got on to tracking the website down to find a contact number, my partner was in town near a local bank branch so popped in to speak to a customer advisor. They could not track down details to who it was from except the reference to this website - which come up with various links on google, and also some complaint websites such as this one. I read the first comment that mentioned about ordering tickets from the trainline and instantly alarm bells rang. My partner only purchases a train ticket for my mother in January (were now in febuary) so i rang him back and said do you remember anything from the trainline website - ive seen a similar complaint where someone has ended up being subscribed and having a monthly charge to this company - he was totally baffled but remembered he had a pop up appear that offered a form of cashback and subscription free to this discount website - which he clicked to exit - were both not into these schemes often more than not they end up being too good to be true, and he also being the typical bloke would not sign up to anything like this. I found a website similar name called www.shoppersdiscountsandrewards.co.uk - slightly different - which i found interesting just by luck that I decided to use the contact number on their website - and what do you know - it is them! As soon as i started talking about im confused im ringing up on the off chance that its your company I had a reference on my bank statement, the woman instantly said you have been charged? I said yes and I want to find out how and why? The lady i spoke to Rachel - said my partner would of clicked on this and agreed to the terms and given our bank details - he didnt, she also said he would of been recieving emails - but his email account is not accessible - yet they also have our address nothing through the post though!

She said he would of knowingly entered his details - but he didnt, the bank said often these pop up windows you click to dissapear and they stay present hidden behind your screen your inputting bank data into and therefore copying any details - and using them - is this right? This is the bank telling us this.

Just want to write a more up to date complaint from someone else who has experience this problem - in relation to the trainline website.

Hope this helps you get to the bottom of the situation like a previous complaint letter on here helped me.

Shopper Discounts and Rewards SCAM!!!

They kept charging my credit card $12.00 for a membership I never signed up for. Don't know exactly how they get your information, however, it has something to do with buying products online. When certain online companies use Shopper Discounts to process your credit card you sign up for a membership; then they charge your credit card $12.00 a month. There is no way to cancel unless you give them a membership number (which no one has because you never even knew you signed up for the con-corporation) or your credit card number; yea, like I am going to give them my credit card number again. IT IS A SCAM! Stay clear of Shopper Discounts. They got me for $48.00!

i enjoyed shopping online while I lived in the U.K, especially off this site lookfantastic.com
Whenever I confirmed payment, I would get this offer of a voucher for 10 pounds off my next purchase. I clicked 'approve'. The next thing I know, my Lloyds TSB savings account is being debited for "shopper discounts.co.uk" and "MY-TIME-REWARDS.CO.UKCD" for 10 pounds each!
How is this happening? Is it possible to get my money back?
