Illegal withdrawall from debit account
Payment of £10 taken, illegally, from my debit account with Royal Bank of Scotland on 20/12/2010. I had not given any of my bank details to this company, nor gave any permission for any withdrawals.
It only came to light on receiving my bank statement today, 8/1/2011. I will go to my bank branch on Mon. 10th. Jan. to make arrangements to prevent any further withdrawals, although this will probably mean the issue, by the bank, of yet another bank card, and little or no chance of recovering the £10 already stolen.
Scam
I just discovered that I am being charged $12 per month on my Discover Card. My wife just happened to notice this while opening my recent statement. She finally noticed the scam, because we had recently paid off the account, but yet this $12 fee still showed up. Who knows how long this has been going on? I called the company's phone number and you get an automated system. They want you to punch in your entire credit card #, in order to proceed. I refused to do so, and then immediately called my Discover Card billing dept., and filed a claim. Hopefully things will somehow get resolved. A lesson learned is to look at your bills, to see if anything unusual appears. How many $12 charges per month is appearing on thousands of other people's credit cards? Something or someone needs to stop this "scam" operation.

This company has been taken from my account £10 pounds every month for the last 6 years. Its a fraud. They just refund me £400 but still another £250 have to be refund and its getting so difficult. I have to report it as it is a scam and fraud. Be carefull, as they take all you bank card informations and account. Its happen apparently when I made a payment to Ryanair in 2011.
I ordered some clothing online from the Woman Within website, and subequently was offered to receive alerts for sales, etc. Unbeknownst to me, it also triggered a $12.00/month service charge. When I saw the erroneous charge on my statement, I called to dispute it and received full credit on my account with no questions asked. Ladies, be careful! I have contacted Woman Within to complain and will no longer be doing business with them.
I HAVE HAD $12.00 CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT FOR NOV. 08 AND DEC. 08. NEITHER OF THESE CHARGES WERE AUTHORIZED, AND I NEED SHOPPER DISCOUNT TO REFUND MY $23.00.

I was charged a 12 dollar fee from shopper discount.com, a service I never signed up for, or used to charge anything on my BOA card. The charge is for a date on which my card was never used.
Out of the clear blue I am charged a 12 dollar fee from shopper discount.com, a service I never signed up for, or used to charge anything on my Discover card. The charge is for a date on which my card was never used.
Money was taken out of my banking account without my permission.
I was charged a 12 dollar fee from shopper discount.com, a service I never signed up for, from my discovercard for three months, and i never use that kind of service.
I'm new to the country & just started to use credit card to shop online. I was warned that I must be very careful with fraud websites so I daren't sign on anything but my American Express card was charged twice in the same day ($12 + $12) for something I couldn't figure out from which shops I bought. I got online & saw many complaints re. ShopperDiscount.com and hurriedly called American Express. They said they refunded $24 to my card & would check if next time it charged me again. However, they said I must check my next statement carefully from now on & inform them right away if ShopperDiscount.com charged me again. It's strange as I didn't use their service, didn't know why they've my credit card No.!
I wonder why the government doesn't stop this cheating business & imprison the owner!

I WORK FOR A CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS COMPANY CAN STILL BE LEGALLY OPEN TO AUTOMATICALLY SUBMIT APPLICATION W/OUT PERMISSION FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE TO SHOP ONLINE! fraudulent billing
My credit card account has been charged $12.00 per month since September, 2009 without my authorization/knowledge. I just happened to notice this charge on my credit card from shopper discount and rewards, I called the # to inquire what this was and came to know that I my credit card info was given to Shopper discounts when I was shopping on all posters.com.
apparently when a purchase is completed on allposters.com, a pop up window asks if you would like a discount on your next purchase. Apparently if you simply click on this pop up window, Shopper Discounts acquires your credit card info and begins charging your credit card account without your knowledge. The way this was done was not made clear or obvious and consumers are being cheated into this program- this is internet malpractice.
In the last year- ever since I was cheated into the rewards program, I have purchased nothing from this "discounts & rewards" company.
I called Shopper Discounts phone number and a representative offered to cancel my “membership” and refund the last 4 months of charge. I said I wanted all 13 months charges refunded. The person said she was only allowed to credit the last four charges over the phone and that I would have to submit a form, (that she would send to me) requesting a refund of more than four months of charges.
I contacted my credit card company to dispute the unauthorized charges to my account and came to know I was only allowed to only dispute the “LAST FOUR” charges to my account. It seems like shopper discount has mastered the art of swindling people and they refund charges of the last 4 months which are disputable via credit card companies anyway... That way there is no option for consumers to get their money back beyond 4 months
I WANT ALL MY MONEY BACK. I will fight this as far as I can go. If I get nowhere - either from Shopper Discounts & Rewards or my credit card company, then I will be contacting the frauds department of the Attorney's General of New York State & Connecticut as well as the Better Business Bureau of NY & CT to lodge complaints. I will go to various consumer forums and tell everyone how I have been cheated off my money.
I have not felt like such a fool in a very long time.

I also had a run in with shopper discount and rewards! SCAM is all I have to say supposively I purchased something off of usauto.com, which i don't remember and this is how they got my info. So i just noticed a $10.00 reoccurring charge for the past few months I finally checked into it because I did not know the name. Also spoke with my Bank BOA they have also have had other customers call about unathorized transactions from this place. So I am now in the process of getting my MONEY reimbursed to me. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM ! Is all I have to say
Shopper discount and Rewards took £10 out of my bank with out my knowledge or consent. Luckily I was told to ring this number [protected] and ask them to close my account with them and refund the money. I am still waiting for the money but they did say it would be up to 10 working days before it would be back in my bank account. I had no idea that I was a member of their scam so was totally bewildered by the whole thing
Logged on to Drugs.com to place an order and since January 2009 I've been receiving a 12.00 charge on my credit card. they will not refund my money and I did NOT join this club.
I have just been looking at my online banking and shopperdisc have been taking 10 pound a month out of my account for the last 8 months! i am fuming.. i dont even know how they have got my bank details coz i have definatly not signed up to it or had any knowledge this was coming out of my account untill now. what can i do because they have recieved 80 pound out of me that i am not happy to just let go!
shortcake is right. Most people click on things and not read. if anyone remembers the site they use that got them to shopper discounts and rewards please post the site. You guys may want out of the deal but I know plenty of people that want to sign up and get in.
Obviously you all have had a totally different experience with Shopper Discounts & Rewards than I. I made a purchase online and at the end of my transaction a window popped up to receive $10 cash back on my purchase. I clicked on the link and was taken to a page to enter my personal/credit card information. On this page, it clearly stated the terms of the "30 day free trial". As long as you cancel within the 30 day period, you will not be charged a cent. In the membership e-mail they send you, it even states at the bottom in the small print the exact date you need to cancel by to avoid being charged. I even received reminder billing notifications of when I would be charged if I hadn't canceled by that date. It is VERY easy to cancel the membership too. You can simply log into your account, go to the "Customer Service" tab and click on "Contact Us." On the Contact Us page, there is a link you click on that says "Click on this link to access our online benefit cancel center". There is also a toll-free number you can call to cancel, if you prefer to go that route. I have taken advantage of many free trial offers, and I always make sure to clearly read the terms. I was never charged a cent by Shopper Discounts and Rewards since I canceled by the specified date. I have no connections whatsoever with Shopper Discounts and Rewards, so there's nothing in it for me to defend them; I'm simply stating my personal experience.
Same thing happened to me, my credit card had been charged $12 per month since May, 2010. I never sign any agreement to pay the member fee. I never receive any billing statement. I never receive any e-mail from shopper discounts and rewards. I never use their service. I had been charged for 14 months. I called the customer service at [protected], came to know that my credit card number was given to shopper discount and rewards when I was shopping with buy.com. Since then my credit card was charged $12 per month without any billing statement or e-mail notification. I was cheated to become the member without knowing my password or user id. It is a fraudulent practice. The representative only agree to refund the last four months. Why do I pay for the membership I did not intend to join? I want to get all of my money refund. I will contact all of the channels to get full refund. Otherwise, I will post it on the face book, twitter and all of the social media to let all of world know this malpractice company.
Ok gang here is a scoop for you. I used to work in the call center for this company so I know how you can get your money back. There are two things they don't want to hear that will result in an immediate refund: lawyer is the first but because a lot of people don't like to pull that card you can also use the "my UNDERAGE son/daughter placed this order without my knowledge." Bingo, instant refund. If this is not the first time they have charged you make sure you say that you want ALL the charges they placed on your card refunded. If you don't say that then they will only refund the last debit they made to your account. I hope this helps!

Credit card companies and/ or banks only are in it to protect themselves under the name of Fraud. When you understand that it is a business and they all have no concerns for you... just your money, than you will see them as they truly are ...bloodsuckers. That being said. Simply write them a "Writ of Discovery" and ask them for your consented contractual agreement between you and shoppers discount and rewards. If they cant produce a contract (which they can never do), sue them. Give them a ten day window to respond, and then write them a "write of default judgement" for not producing a contract. Send it to the Attorney General and to the Secretary of state and to "WEBLOYALTY" who is the true company you want. U.S.C. title 18 section 1001 fraud, section 1003, section 105, and etc.. ., they knowingly and willfully are committing fraud and have been doing it for years. Sue them in their private and corporate capacity for everything each person in the company owns (houses, cars, stock and bonds, comic books, and sue their wives and children) until they learn to work for a living and stop stealing from working people. Fraud has no statute of limitations so when your piece together all your complaints on WEBLOYALTY, own them. Get all the Board members name and the CEO if he/ she is not on the board.
no contract ever signed
My husband has only just noticed that 10 pounds sterling were being debited each month from his account for subscription to a company called shopperdiscounts. (Is this shopperdiscounts direct complaint page ?) It has been going on for months if not years but he is not very good at checking his statements because he is very unwell and I do not check them on his behalf because all the bills are paid through my account and I have never felt the need to do do.
My husband has never signed any sort of agreement with the company. He has never used the internet in his entire life.
I called the bank today and they said it was not a direct debit payment so they could not stop it. I then went on the net and found many similar complaints.
You will no doubt get my email address through this mail and if not, it is [protected]@wanadoo.fr.
I request immediate reimbursement for the fee that has been charged from day one. Unless I am provided with a written signed proof of agreement between my husband and the company within the next couple of days, I shall not only contact our bank again but alert all the relevant authorities in Europe and world wide about what "I" consider to be fraud.

Credit Card Scam
In December of 2009 I was purchased some items at Dr. Leonard’s web site. In the process of paying for it with my credit card, the web site offered a $10 discount coupon and I accepted. Everybody likes to save money. Only what was offered was deceptive. When the offer is accepted your credit card information is sent to Shopper’s Discount without the customer particularly knowing that. Shopper’s Discount then starts billing your credit card $12 per month for its questionable services. When you finally realize you are being billed monthly for unwanted services and call Shopper’s Discount, they provide you with a cancelation and a refund. It skirts the law by offering to refund the last four months of its billing.
I know as I get older and mentally slower that I do not wish to be duped by companies such as Shopper’s Discount who can only exist through the cooperation of companies like Dr. Leonard’s. Evidently, Dr. Leonard’s and other companies like it must be profiting from this arrangement and therefore are just as guilty in this ploy to deceive the consumer.
I was also promised a refund for 4 months of payments which has yet to occur.

scam
I just discovered that I somehow got scammed by Shopper's Discounts at the tune of $12/month after I purchased a photo book from Shutterfly as a Christmas gift for my mother-in-law. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed that Shutterfly attached such scam offers to purchases. I always look carefully at online purchases, and this did not show up at...

I have been paying monthly for this discount offer without realising it. I responded to what I believed was a one-off offer. . . I have cancelled this now, but the contact claimed this was clearly outlined. I can still see no reference in the print out to say the fee was being deducted monthly.
This appears to be the same company as My Time Rewards.co.uk!
When I found out that this was not a one-off payment I was dross because I could not find any information on the published material which suggested it was ongoing!
If you have the same experience, check the paperwork and tell them. I was outraged and insisted their policy was not clear. They then promised to refund me all but the original £10 which to their credit they did.
If you are quite firm and -only if necessary threaten to blacklist them online they must listen. But try politely but firmly at first and be absolutely straight. That is my advice.
Best of luck,
Roger
Hi there! It happened to me too. Could you please advise what have you done next. I would really appreciate. I feel gutted, they have been charging £10.00 for the last year from my credit card, which I am nopt using. My email address is bpalionis@yahoo.co.uk. Thank you. Brigita
do not accept FTD online discounts!
I noticed a $10 charge for discountshopper.com Norwalk on my American Express. I called the 1-800 # and was told the charges began 49 months ago after I accept a $15 discount while ordering flowers online. I have no idea now about a flower purchase four years ago. Scammed when buying flowers! I should have checked. Anyway, the polite customer service representative at shopperdiscount.com told her company had my old address, email, and presumably phone # on file. Her supervisor, Mr. Carl Grant, agreed to refund four months and to send me information regarding this purchase, proof of my acceptance of their service from 2006, and a refund request form. I have never received a benefit from this company. If you are stung by this company I encourage you to also contact every legislator in Connecticut and home state for restitution.

Unauthorized deduction from Amex card
While reviewing my credit card statement I noticed that there was a charge of 12.00 for 'Internet/webservices" under the name Webloyaltycom. I thought it was the fee my husband pays for his web hosting but when I asked him, he said that he didn't recongnized the company's name or address. We called and they told us that we had 'signed up for shoppersdiscount.com after purchasing movie tickets on the Internet."
We never knew we had signed up and they had been charging for 5 months already. We called and asked them for a refund and to cancel the 'membership' right away. We also told them that we had seen numerous complaints about their deceiving practices on this site. They agreed to the refund for the entire 5 months.
So beware when you purchase tickets on the web and double check the merchants on your credit card statements.

Taking money from my card
I had not realised when I made an online purchase in January 2009 that I had unwittingly signed to this Shopper Discounts company. I thought it was all part of that one transaction. I now find some 15 months later that they have been taking £10 each month from my card, I did not notice before because of the amount of transactions...now they have offered me £30 refund whilst they pocket £120 for doing nothing. They tell me they sent me emails, but the email address in 2009 ceased to exist and this would have meant emails being returned to them, so my question is why when they got no response from me could they not drop me a note in the post?
Unscrupulus practices indeed...

I too was scammed big time. Apparently it happened on the site - Shutterfly - when I made up a book of my granddaughter's photos. I was unaware I signed up for anything and found out by calling my credit card company and reading comments on the internet that this was the case. The card company called the scammers and they listened in. According to them they now will refund me 4 months; however they said I signed up in 09. I nearly died. They mailed me a form via email and I printed it out and will be sending it. However they need the last four digits of my credit card and the pin number. I am leary of giving them this info, plus the card company put a freeze on them going into my account. How can I get my money back? Help!
Unauthorized Credit Card Charges
For the most part I think I'm a pretty savvy person, but stupidly I just discovered that since December 2007, I have been charged $10.00 monthly for some scam company called SHOPPER DISCOUNTS & REWARDS. For some reason, I thought that I had been paying for a group subscription of magazines I had purchased for my B&B, but when I just examined my Visa bill, I contacted Bank of America to ask for clarification. I discovered that this charge had nothing to do with the magazine subscriptions. As a matter of fact, it simply appeared on my card. In looking back, I purchased nothing from this "discounts & rewards" company. I can't find a common denominator like the other complaints I read on Complaints Board (like Tiger Direct or AllPosters.com). I can't think of anything I purchased that would have caused me to press OK to become a member of Shopper Discounts & Rewards club, let alone to give them my credit card number to charge anything on it, especially on a monthly basis. Unfortunately, my Bank of American complaint person said that since I was calling on a weekend that I would have to call on Monday morning at 8am and that they and I would have to be on the phone with Shopper Discounts & Rewards. However, based on the other complaints I read, I will be getting only 4 months back ($40) of the $280 that they have charged on my credit card. I will try to fight this as far as I can go. If I get nowhere - either from Shopper Discounts & Rewards or Bank of America, then I will be contacting the frauds department of the Attorney's General of New York State & Connecticut as well as the Better Business Bureau of NY & CT to lodge complaints. First of all I can't believe that I let this slip by me for so long, but also I can't believe that someone hasn't closed these people down long before this. I would put these people jail and thrown away the keys. Hope someone out there has better luck than me! I've learned a great lesson today!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
My credit card account has been charged $12.00 per month since September 5, 2008 without my or my wife’s authorization. I had noticed this charge on my credit card activity before, but I didn't think it was an issue because both I and my wife use this card for any and everything so we can accumulate points for free airline flights.
On March 7, 2010, I noticed this charge again while looking at my credit card activity. I asked my wife what this was for and she said she had no idea. I researched and found this amount had been charged to my credit card for the last nineteen months. The charge on my statement reads “SHOPPER DISCOUNTS [protected] CT” and the charge is always $12.00. This apparently is created by placing an order from certain merchants online. When the purchase is completed, a pop up window asks if you would like a discount on your next purchase. Apparently if you simply click on this pop up window, Shopper Discounts acquires your credit card info and begins charging your credit card account without your knowledge.
I contacted Shopper Discounts and they offered to cancel my “membership” and refund the last $12.00 charge. I said I wanted all nineteen charges refunded. The person said she was only allowed to credit the last four charges over the phone and that I would have to submit a form, (that she would send to me) requesting a refund of more than four months of charges.
I also contacted my credit card company to dispute the unauthorized charges to my account. The credit card person I talked with said I was allowed to only dispute the “LAST FOUR” charges to my account. He said time had run out for me to dispute any additional charges. I found it was very convenient for Shopper Discounts to only credit me the last four charges over the phone. In my opinion, they knew my credit card company would not allow me to dispute more than the last four charges.
THIS IS AN OBVIOUS SCAM AND THIS COMPANY AND ANY COMPANY ALLOWING SHOPPER DISCOUNTS ACCESS TO THEIR WEBSITE SHOULD BE PROSECUTED.

unauthorized payments from my account
I booked hotels through expedia last year and discovered that shopper discounts had been taking £10 a month out of my account. I never received any emails from shopper discounts about ANY discounts!
Luckily, it was only 3 months ago so they only got £30 out of me.
I phoned shopper discounts and demanded a total refund as I had not authorized any payments and cancelled my membership.
They agreed to refund me within 30 days and would be sending me a confirmation email.
Beware of companies like expedia who pass on your details to this fraudulent outfit! I believe I must be one of the lucky ones but will wait and see if I do get my money back within 30 days.

Deducting £10 from barclaycard with NO authorization
Myself, along with clearly 100s of others have found themselves in a scam of having an amount deducted per month from their credit card for no reason. This company does not appear to exist www.shoppersdiscount.co.uk.
I have lost a large amount of money to them, money that I do not have, and for which I get no product or service.
I would be grateful to know if this organization is being investigated, and if any compensation is possible.
Kind regards
Francesca Wade
how to stop being charged
Go onto the site, ( shoppperdiscount. go to log in details, put in your email add, press button to say forgot password. wait for there email giving you your password. go to bottom of there email and press reply. tell them you want to cancel your membership. they should send back email telling you that your membership has been cancelled and they will give you a cancelation no. ring your bank with the details and tell them you didnt understand when you signed up and there was no mention of a monthly charge, and that you do not want to be a member anymore. I know its a bit late for some of you, but at least you will not be conned anymore. And if you should buy something from a site that offers you this, contact that site and tell them that you will not buy from them again if they alllow shoppersdiscount to con anymore of there customers.

£10 withdrawal from my account
I booked a flight on Wizzair and was involved in a so-called Shopping discount.
Recently they withdrew £10 from my bank account(they have my card detales).
LloydsTSB send me a message:on-line withdrawal abroad and I had to cancel my card
to stop Shopperdiscount.co.uk fraud.
unauthorised transactions on my card
I made a purchase from mandmdirect.com and was asked if I would like discount on future purchases. Subsequently my card was charged £10.00 per month by a company called shopperdiscounts.co.uk for the next two months (until I noticed) To the best of my knowledge they have no connection to MandM. When I phoned shopperdiscounts they begrudgingly agreed to make a refund but they tried to convince me that I had willingly signed up for it. Never at any time did I sign up for a monthly subscription of £10.00 and I am not sure why anyone else would because you would have to be a compulsive shopper to derive any benefit.
I have now found that I am not the only one to suffer from these unauthorised transactions.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I too have been charged £8 PER MONTH by ShoppersDiscount for AT LEAST the last 13 months. I know I should check regulary but I haven't. I did not sign up to this and I will try and get a refund.
Unauthorized Credit Card Charge
These ### charged $12.00 from my son's check card without any authorization or approval. After my son ordered some posters from allposters.com, there must have been some type of pop up he simply clicked (he did not fill out any information or approve a charge) it grabbed his credit card number from the allposters order. This is nothing but an illegal scam! These crooks take your money and provide absoutely no service or product. I've already filed a complaint with the BBB on this company. I suggest everyone who has experienced the same with these crooked ### do the same (https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/getstarted.aspx).
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
