Recently, I had the DPF on my Peugeot 207 removed by Sinspeed Ltd at their facility in SE7 7SX, Charlton, London. I selected Sinspeed Ltd after I had done a search on the internet about firms which carry out this job and from the write-up on their website, they “appeared” to do a professional job and even guaranteed their work. To be honest, I just believed all the marketing hype which Sinspeed Ltd have on their website and never bothered to have a look at the reviews/complaints posted online about them. How I was to regret this as I found out a few days and less than 300 miles later!
Not a week had passed from when they had removed the DPF from my car when the same "Depollution System Faulty" error showed up again; the 'engine' icon also re-appeared and remained constantly 'On' and the car was smoking noticeably too. I struggled to make an appointment with them and when it finally happened, I got fobbed off and was treated like a nuisance. To start with the person I had arranged the appointment with (Jay) - and who had assured me that he would be there in person to sort it all out for me – never showed up. To rub salt into the ‘wound’, the employee who was at their garage – after ‘consulting’ by phone with Jay - declared that the problems I had mentioned were not as a result of their work but because my car's turbo needed to be replaced as its bearing was a bit loose and also because there was oil leaking from the rocker arm into it!
I told him that I wasn't accepting this ### and bull story and insisted that Sinspeed Ltd had to abide with their written guarantees and eliminate the faults/errors on my car as well as sort out the ‘smoking’ problem as the Peugeot was due for service in a month’s time. In response to my insistence, Sinspeed’s employee told me that it would then be best if I waited for Jay and discussed the matter with him.
I waited patiently for more than five (5) hours for him but, as already mentioned, Jay failed to show up. That was the last straw! A week later, I emailed Sinspeed Ltd a claim for compensation and demanded they refund me the money I paid. They, of course, neither responded let alone settled my claim. A friend of mine, after hearing what I had been through, recommended that I visit OMG! Performance Ltd’s website (www.omg-performance.com) and contact them to have it all sorted out properly and professionally. This I did and was very satisfied at their professionalism; dedication; efficiency and customer service. I was also pleasantly surprised at their competitive fees.
It is for all the above as well as I have since found out that they have also ripped off and cheated several other individuals that I have decided to report Sinspeed Ltd to the Office Of Fair Trading as well as place the trauma I’ve been through on three different complaint forums – in order to warn everyone concerned to steer away from them and under no circumstances to allow their vehicle to be even looked at – let alone touched - by Sinspeed Ltd!
Many thanks for the updates, Bob. By the way, I haven't heard anything further from the"go-in-between" person (Michael J. Williams) who had offered me (on behalf of Sinspeed/jay) to refund the money I paid provided I retracted my complaint! They must have given up after I refused to give him/them my bank details as well as my address! I hope that after they've been struck off by Companies' House, HMRC will go after them for non-payment of VAT and taxes!
i have heard about this company omg performance putting in fake complaints making up storys beware of omg performance he is a man in a van offering all sorts
Dont believe sunny2013. Sinspeed emplyoee. I agree with original post sinspeed are every motorists worst nightmare. Avoid like the plague. Utter cowboys and dodgy!
SinSpeed are as dodgy as they come. I had an ABS issue, half way through the job they upped the cost by £85 because "it was harder", even though they knew my car and model! My car was exactly the same when I drove off, I doubt they did anything to it. They certainly are not electrical specialists as I thought they were. They are certainly not a nationwide successful company, just some small un-impressive garage in London. To my surprise, they even open admit on their site they are not experts: "You don’t need to be a mechanic to be a part of our network, as long as you have basic automotive knowledge and a passion to succeed – you’re welcomed on-board!"
The chap I spoke to could barely speak proper English, it was some weird butchered English that really didn't make sense when trying to explain the problem. They were trying to blame me for not telling them more about the problem, they said they would have performed a full diagnosis on my car, but they said that first thing in the morning anyway and didn't do it!
Sinspeed are full of lies they cost me £1600 to sort a Mazda 6 out
After saying they could remove the dpf and reprogram the Ecu the car never went again
Had to bay a new Ecu and get it all reprogrammed to the car the a Company called if
Evolotion chips did the job the nicess people ever and really know what they are talking about. SINSPEED ARE A BUNCH OF RIP OFFS!
OMG... I never write feedback but there is always a first. I had the exactly same situation when I bought my BMW to Sinspeed For the removal of my DPF .
I also bought into the fancy website . But alarm bells started to ring when a dodgy looking guy came to pick up my car from my address... - knew I should of said, 'on your bike mate!' . After several days of not having my car I was really getting worried.. I spoke to Jay who seems to have a big attitude problem and does not understand the concept of customers service... He get confused about why customers are upset on how long it takes to return their cars... Maybe, Jay, you shouldn't promise your customer of returning their vehicles within 2days and actually take over a week... Plus maybe you should tell your customers that we will drain petrol and add just a few unexplained miles to your vehicle... Plus a free cigarettes lighter!
After receiving my vehicle it sure didn't feel right + the extra embarrassing smoke which came out of the exhurst.
To add salt to the injury my car was booked in for a MOT in which failed due to the smoke.
Went back to Jay at Sinspeed along with his 'B.S' he calmed it was nothing to do with the job he performed.😤. And had the audacity to charge me for looking at my vehicle... At that point I was seeing RED😡... Won't go into any details of what happened next.
I'm quite surprise they haven't change there name as yet or been featured on watchdog... You are really better off shopping elsewhere especially if you Love your car and money!
They are robbers they won't give me my money back for a surcharge part I sent them
I to along with the others above was taken in by the website, but failed to check them out. My VW Tourag had an ESP issue which was diagnosed by VW as needing a replacement module, their price was in excess of £700, but after talking with the infamous Jay on the phone I stupidly agreed to let them have the car, possibly the worst thing that I have ever done in relation to vehicle repairs, the nightmare was to unfold from here. Jay contacted me later in the day and started his bxxxxxxt, going on about codes and techie things which meant absolutely nothing to me or that I cared, I just wanted my car sorted, but he just went on and on trying to get me to agree to giving him cart blanch and run me up a massive invoice. the up-shot of this conversation was that he would "re calibrate the steering angle sensor"? this never featured in the diagnosis by VW, however I went along with him and agreed that he do it and if it did not rectify the issue I would just have the charge of £45, but if it did then the bill would £200, needless to say it did not resolve the issue. So now he (Jay) came up with the next move, which took him to the ESP module / unit and I agreed that he should investigate, adding the it would about 4 hours. At this point I was not at all convinced, after digesting what he had said and the manner he had delivered it (condescending patronising manner) I, along with my daughter, decided to leave the job we doing in Maidstone and go to the "HQ" of Sinspeed and retrieve my vehicle. I had never been to the premises and I was gob-smacked when I arrived, to describe it as a tip would be an under-statement. Car parts were strewn everywhere, wrecks of cars were outside on blocks, grease literally covered every inch of floor space, the so-called "technicians" were not at all clean in appearance. Then I met with Jay, he tried all the time to over-talk me and tried in vain to convince me that Sinspeed, he and the technician's were at all capable of resolving the issue and that what VW had said was "shxx". By now I am of the opinion that just changing a light bulb is beyond them, let alone resolving some technical issue with the vehicle. After talking with him for an hour, I had made my mind up that the vehicle was not to stay, so it was agreed that he remove the "hammer" and toolbox from the top of the engine compartment and put everything back to as it was. Unfortunately this could not be done as it was now around 18:00hrs, so I insisted that I wanted the vehicle ready to be moved by noon the next day. Sure enough the vehicle was ready upon our arrival, but the feelings were strained to say the least. I went into the workshop and started to inspect the vehicle when Jay lent out of his office window and ordered me out of the workshop, I will not go into what happened next but we eventually got away. I too have never written a complaint about anyone before, but feelings are so high that I have felt compelled to write this in order to warn others NOT to fall prey to this crook. Sinspeed website states that they have some 50+ dealers throughout the UK and Ireland, I have tried to make contact with just one of those without success, he has NO DEALERS, he is a "FAKE"
I would just like to add I have just picked my car up from VW, they had the car fixed in 3 hours! All done! Nothing like what the infamous Jay suggested!
Sorry to hear you too got caught up in this Georgina, it really is a sad sorry state of affairs. Your photos are good, that is definitely him in the first photo. I remember speaking to the blue suit guys and they mentioned to me that they are a different company, I think they machine parts for some industry - they seemed reputable. In fact Jay just seemed to use a bit of their space, I mean like he had room for 1 car, that was it. Also in the office when I left the cash he wasn't around so the other on site company took it. I don't think they liked doing it. Also I initially thought Sinspeed was the unit opposite so I walked in and asked them, they all laughed at me with a "good luck" attitude - I should have picked up on that a bit better I think!
Their website is now down.
Although still some activity on the facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sinspeed/
I have done research into company ownership etc, ages ago and there was a lot of alarm bells, I just did a quick search and this link will show you that AJAZ is the company director/owner, i.e. NOT a national network LOL: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08823709/officers
Also, you can see his annual returns via this link and you'll see that he claims to deal with
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08823709/filing-history
You will now also notice that the company has been struck off, the link above has that document too "First Gazette notice for compulsory strike-off".
So ignore any emails from people claiming to have now taken ownership of Sinspeed and want your reviews removed in agreement for a full refund as they just want your details, probably to screw you over some how. I recommend keeping fairly anonymous.

Very interesting! maybe they caught up with him!
Hopefully they will, it doesn't look like he has declared any taxes and seems to say his company only has about £100 in it. Maybe the other companies kicked him off site!
