Website builders
was told I'm paying for a website with unlimited upgrades and hosting for $50 a month and they told me the website initial fee of $500 was for a service and not a website. So therefore they own my website which is part owner of my company. Why would I make site dudes a part of my company. This is ridiculous and then there manager offer me 3 options that benefits him, not me and wants me to go for it. I wouldn't recommend anyone to deal with this company and if you want to hear from me personally call me at [protected]
refund
I am having a dispute with Site Dudes as well. On Thursday I was telephone solicited by their rep who talked me into joining up. They took my credit card info and charged my account for $150.00. This was to represent $100.00 for building a website and $50.00 for the 1st month. On Monday am I telephoned them to advise that we had decided not to go ahead at this time due to various circumstances.
When I asked what my refund would be they told me 0.00.
they did not even build a site for me since I did not give them any info yet to do as such. so this is a straight out rip.
No WEBSITE AND THEREFORE NO 1 MONTH SERVICE. This is not even reasonable. I am just appalled since they telephone solicited me on Thursday and this is only Monday am.
Any comments are welcomed.
You really do get what you pay for
I used Site Dudes but recently switched to A&O Systems Group. They did a complete revamp of my site for just under a grand and a small monthly to maintain the site, features and hosting service. The difference now is that I am getting calls from customers and form email submissions, whereas with Site Dudes I never did. So you really do get what you pay for. Site Dudes sites do look nice, though. But don't judge a book by its cover, as they say.
I've been reading these posts and I have to comment here. First of all, regarding the BBB comment and Site Dudes not being an accredited. Keep in mind that COMPANY CRACK HEADS get "accredited" by the BBB. So regardless of company, A&O Systems Group or this Site Dudes company, neither one of them wins in my eyes. Oh, and NEITHER ONE OF THEM IS ACCREDITED. Anyone considering a website HAS TO DO THEIR OWN RESEARCH, just as I did. My findings are _more_ companies have first page ratings for popular keywords with A&O Systems Group. Example: "Edmonton painters" clearly demonstrates a first page rank, for a small painting company in Edmonton and for keywords that are difficult to attain such a high ranking for.
We switched from Site Dudes to A&O Systems Group a couple of years ago as they had a $19.99 offer for three months, then a regular rate of only $29.99. That's a big difference epically when compared to Yellow Pages web sites which are not that good to begin with. The biggest difference I found between all of these companies is that A&O Systems Group just "has it". They have a good combination of interpersonal skills and are deeply knowledgeable - not only on the Web Site front but in a number of other areas. I didn't want my web site looking like something out of a comic book, especially considering that's all my customers are looking at these days - web sites. So I've tried a small firm which I found too expensive, then yellow pages, site dudes, then A&O Systems Group. I have to admit I'm happiest with A&O Systems Group.
Actually a B rating and the company is not BBB accredited. 17 complaints in 3 years including a false advertising review.
I have been with Sitedudes for over a year now and they have been great! I am a mortgage agent and my website is an important part of my business and I have depended on Sitedudes and they have not let me down. My site looks great!
According to BBB Review: http://www.bbb.org/kitchener/business-reviews/web-design/site-dudes-in-toronto-on-1203232. Sitedudes.com is not BBB Accredited
RE: Complain by Diray
I represent SiteDudes.com, and I have a sneaky suspicion that Diray's comment is a fake complaint made by somebody working at A&O Systems Group. One look at their website would make one wonder how anybody would be willing to pay A&O Systems Group money for a website.
Site Dudes creates high quality websites for each and every customer. While this is true, we never make promises about website traffic because this is something that can only be achieved through efforts made by the client or through SEO (a service we provide extra).
RE: Comment by JustSoYouKnow
Like with most service providers, it is easy to find negative reviews regarding their services across the Internet. When you've served thousands of small businesses like we have over the years, it is unfortunate that the few dissatisfied customers are often louder than the thousands of happy customers that we have. At the end of the day we offer a service that most are happy with, which has earned us an A- BBB rating. One must take these review sites with a grain of salt.
Mr. YeaSure seems to spring up on all SiteDudes complaints. Being from Toronto, it seems logical to assume that the mocking tone of YeaSure is in fact someone working for SiteDudes. Sadly, with such an attitude, I am going to believe all the reviews I read concerning SiteDudes, and there are a few out there, and so far 4 of 5 are not only negative, but badly negative. I would suggest to SiteDudes to pay better attention to the staff they employ, and maybe have them follow sensitivity training.
Well, I am not sure where the difference came from? Did they put in a customer attracting scent in the website that might be attracting customers? I think it's pretty dumb to assume that changing the provider did the trick.
Maybe since you paid $1000 plus a monthly fee, psychologically, you think you are getting more calls from customers. You are just feeling guilty that you didn't stick around without losing $1000...
Just sayin'

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

- Site Dudes protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
Site Dudes was a very bad experience for me
Site Dudes was a very bad experience for me. The site they created could have been done better by my 10 year old nephew. When I attempted to work with them to improve I recieved no collaboration, input, suggestion or partnership. They simply told me to email them what I wanted and they would make changes. When I asked to speak to someone to discu...
