Slatter Management Services, Inc
Slatter Management Services, Inc. is quite particular when it comes to addressing concerns. They tend to be selective about which issues they address. It's quite frustrating that they charge the full price for services that are not yet available. And when you require assistance, it becomes a problem.
I live in Country Club Condominiums and I gotta say, the management at Slatter Management Services, Inc
I live in Country Club Condominiums and I gotta say, the management at Slatter Management Services, Inc. is just plain awful. They take forever, if they even bother, to fix any maintenance problems. We got broken windows and gates that don't work right, and they couldn't care less. And let's not forget about the hefty HOA fees they charge us for basically doing nothing except some measly landscaping once a week. It's a total rip-off.
If I could give 0 stars, I would
If I could give 0 stars, I would. They never respond to any problems. They won't pass on our requests to the HOA Board. We had to pay an extra $1,000 because Slatter didn't arrange for the collection of big trash items for us. They also don't take care of yard waste. The fees go up every year but the services get worse.
In hindsight, I realize I should've done my research on this property
In hindsight, I realize I should've done my research on this property. Phone calls don't get returned, maintenance problems, and lots of safety worries. We pay our dues, can we just get some help? It seems like lots of people complain about Statter Management, but Slatter just shifts the blame. I'm so let down by this company! I really hope something is done about them!
Slatter Management is supposed to take care of all the outside stuff at Henson Park, but they're not doing a good job at all
Slatter Management is supposed to take care of all the outside stuff at Henson Park, but they're not doing a good job at all. I've complained a bunch of times about my front and backyard grass. The landscaping is really bad. I've been living here for over 8 months and there's still a bunch of clay piled up in my backyard that they haven't cleaned up or put mulch on. And now they won't even clean up the snow and ice on the roads, so we have to drive and walk on slippery streets until it melts. I asked for our contract info, but they said they can't give it to me until DR H hands everything over. This is getting ridiculous and if this is just the beginning, I can only imagine it's gonna get worse.
Slatter Management Services, Inc
Slatter Management Services, Inc. is one of the worst HOA companies I have ever encountered. They show no concern for the residents and are only interested in money and the builder's interests. It's even worse than living in an apartment complex. You have to ask for permission to do anything to your own house. The HOA dues increase every year, and there's nothing to show for it. Currently, the dues are over $60, and they have the option to increase it by 5% annually. They promised that as the neighborhood grows, the dues would go down, but when they opened the new phase, the dues went up instead.
Let me tell you more about how poorly this company manages neighborhoods. They nitpick small things that don't affect the community's appearance, but they neglect major issues that need fixing promptly and then blame the residents. The community pool has been closed for 3-4 months due to a supposed broken pipe that still hasn't been fixed (I understand that some pools are closed due to the pandemic and state regulations). There's also a landslide at the entrance of the community that they haven't addressed, and it's a bigger eyesore than what they choose to focus on with their citations.
I strongly advise against moving into a community managed by these people. Look for somewhere else, and you'll be much happier.
In November , I bought a property that had a piece of land at the back which belonged to me
In November , I bought a property that had a piece of land at the back which belonged to me. However, it was not fenced and looked like it belonged to someone else. So, I decided to fence it off with a 6-foot high fence to avoid any potential issues. I received a reminder on April 16th stating that the fence was erected without board approval. I submitted a request for approval on April 22nd, but it was denied on May 6th. I had some questions regarding the fence and maintenance responsibilities, but they were left unanswered. I assumed that the lack of response meant a decline. On May 7th, I informed them that I would be removing the fence panels. I also submitted a request for an invisible fence on the same day. It took two months for the invisible fence to be approved, which is longer than the 30 days mentioned in the ordinance. On August 14th, I received another communication regarding the fence and other issues. On August 24th, I had a meeting with Mary and Mark to discuss the fence. Mary asked about my intentions, and I replied that I was happy to leave it as it is or enclose it. Mary suggested moving the fence panels to the other side of the property, but I declined. However, I did agree that reducing the fence height to four feet would work for me. The frustrating part is that it would have been much easier to do this when the fence was already up. Mary emailed me twice on August 25th and 28th, but I did not respond as I felt the HOA made me wait for the invisible fence, so I wanted to give them the same courtesy. Now, my biggest issue is the change in the board's decision. They initially declined the fence installation, but now they are allowing it to be put back up at the height I suggested months ago. Why the change in heart after 3.5 months? It feels like they are favoring the white man living behind me and discriminating against me. On September 25th, I received an email about the hearing results, but I never received a letter about the hearing itself. I believe they intentionally didn't send it to prevent me from attending. I requested a copy of the meeting minutes, but it was denied. This further solidifies my claim of racial harassment and discrimination. The hearing stated that I must cut the posts to four feet and continue with the existing fence design or remove the unapproved additions. Any future changes must be submitted for approval. If the fence is not in compliance by October 18th, there will be daily fines assessed. My attorney and I are confused by this statement as it contradicts previous approvals. There is still more to come.
