Unprofessional and Incompetent: My Experience with Snakes at Sunset
I recently ordered three turtles from Snakes at Sunset, including an albino red ear slider, a pink belly side neck turtle, and a spotted turtle. I was charged right away, but never received a confirmation email. I placed the order on Thursday, November 19th, 2020 and messaged them on Monday, November 23rd, 2020 to ask about my order. Unfortunately, I never received a reply. So, today, Tuesday, November 24th, 2020, I decided to text the number they advertise animals with. Finally, I got a response. They told me that they had sent me an email saying that they didn't have the spotted turtles in stock at the moment (even though their website said they did) and that they would ship them out next week. However, I never received any such email. I checked every folder, including spam, and there was nothing.
I told them that I wouldn't be able to receive the turtles next week because I work an average of 50-60 hours a week as a delivery driver. So, I needed to cancel the order. They agreed to cancel it, but said that there would be a $10 cancellation fee. I was shocked! Why should I have to pay for their mistake? According to their website, anything placed before 2 pm would be shipped out the same day, and anything after would be shipped out the next day. Not a week or two later! It's not fair that I have to pay for their incompetence.
I guess I'll have to file a chargeback since they are too unprofessional to own up to their own mistakes and take care of their customers. It's really disappointing because I was excited to receive my turtles, but now I'm just frustrated and disappointed. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future so that others don't have to go through the same experience.
Mixed Experience with Snakes at Sunset: Geckos Great, Customer Service Not So Much
I gotta say, I had a bit of a mixed experience with Snakes at Sunset. I ordered a couple of giant day geckos and a terrarium hood from them back in June of 2018. The geckos arrived in good shape just a few days later, but the hood was nowhere to be found. I checked the tracking info and it wasn't showing up, so I reached out to customer service to see what was up.
They told me they'd check on it and let me know on Monday. But Monday came and went with no word from them. So I emailed again on Tuesday, and that's when they told me the hood was defective and they'd send a new one out on Thursday. I wasn't too thrilled about waiting even longer, so I asked for a refund instead.
After a few more days of back and forth, they finally told me I'd get a refund. But then nothing happened. I didn't see any evidence of a refund on my PayPal account, and they weren't responding to my emails anymore. So I opened a dispute with PayPal and eventually got my money back that way.
It's a shame, because the geckos themselves were really nice. They were healthy and beautiful, just like they were supposed to be. But the lack of communication and follow-through from Snakes at Sunset was really frustrating. I don't think I'll be buying anything from them again in the future.
Poor Customer Service and Slow Shipping from Snakes at Sunset - A Warning Review
Snakes at Sunset is not a good place to order from! I was looking for two new hatchlings, a razorback and a southern painted, to add to my tank. My friend had ordered from them before and had good things to say, so I thought it would be a good idea. However, it has been a whole week and my turtles still have not shipped! Both turtles were listed as "In stock" on their website, and I was not contacted immediately after my order stating that anything was unavailable. Three days after my order was placed, I tried contacting them to ask if the order had been shipped yet, but I did not receive a response. Finally, after my third attempt, six days after I had ordered and after I threatened to ask for a full refund, I was given an answer. Mike (who is really rude) said that the razorbacks were in stock, but there were no painted turtles in stock when I ordered. He said they had just hatched and that they would be shipped out between Monday and Tuesday of this week. However, it is now Wednesday (eight days after my order) and there are still no signs of my turtles being shipped out yet. My newest email requesting an update has not been answered either. I will never order from them again, and I will most likely be asking for a full refund. I do not advise anyone to order from them. Their customer service is terrible and their shipping is slow and unpredictable. I cannot rate the animals' health as I have not received my animals. I hope this review was helpful to any potential buyers. I will be sticking to Turtle source from now on.
Buyer Beware: My Disappointing Experience with Snakes at Sunset
I recently made a purchase from Snakes at Sunset, and let me tell you, it was a real rollercoaster ride. I decided to buy two Great Plains toads on the 3rd of October, after reading some sketchy reviews online. I figured, why not give it a shot? So, I placed my order and they shipped it out on Wednesday, with an expected arrival date of Thursday at FedEx.
When I got home and opened the box, I was shocked to find that there was only one heating pad for two Great Plains toads! Can you believe it? And to make matters worse, the containers they were in only had four tiny breathing holes. Four! For two toads! And there were no other holes in the box at all, just the one heating pad. It was a total joke.
But that's not even the worst part. I later found out that the website and the physical shop are two completely different entities, with different guidelines for handling the animals. The staff at the shop are aware of all the bad reviews, but they don't seem to care. They just collect their paychecks and go home happy, while people who order online are getting scammed left and right.
To add insult to injury, they have two different phone numbers for those who ordered online. I had to call one number and text another just to get in touch with someone. And when I finally did speak to someone, all they could say was "sorry." They claimed to have mentioned the bad reviews and packaging to their boss, but nothing has been done about it.
Honestly, save your money and don't waste your time buying from Snakes at Sunset. You're more likely to receive a dead animal and no refund than anything else. They don't give a damn about their customers, they're just here to collect your money and give you sick or dead animals. If you're looking for a reputable seller, go spend your money at Josh's Frogs instead.
Disappointing Experience with Snakes at Sunset: A Review
I texted Snakes at Sunset about getting a baby corn snake from them. They replied back to me later that day and said they would send me pictures of a couple of available 2020 baby corns the next day. I was excited to see the pictures, but when I got them, I was disappointed. Two of the snakes looked beautiful, but they were way bigger than the two October of 2019 corns that I already had. However, they did have one that looked smaller, so I chose that one.
The day before it shipped, I wasn't too happy with the coloring, so I asked if they had any other 2020 babies in the same price range. They sent me a picture of one, but it was just in aspen, so I couldn't tell how big it was. I had always wanted a coral ghost corn, so I decided to switch. They told me it was hatched around January 2020.
When I received the baby, I was surprised to find out that it was the same size as my female that was hatched in October. I reached out to them, and they said it may have been a December of 2019 or late 2019 baby. I wanted a 2020 baby because I had a smaller cage and XS pinkies that I couldn't feed my other snakes because they were too small. Now, I can't do anything with them, and I had to spend extra money to get a bigger tank since the one I had was clearly too small.
They did offer to have me send the snake back, but he was beautiful, and I felt sending him back was not fair to him since he did nothing wrong. I feel like this company just wanted money and didn't pay attention to what I wanted as a customer. They did show me two babies that I feel were 2018 babies since they were double the size of what I already had. I wouldn't buy another snake from this company, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else.
Terrible Experience with Snakes at Sunset: Rude Owner, Poor Communication, and Sick Animals
I gotta say, my experience with Snakes at Sunset was not great. This guy Mike who runs the place is a real piece of work. He acts like he's doing you a favor by selling you a snake, and he's not interested in answering any questions or being helpful in any way. He's just rude and dismissive, like he's got better things to do than deal with customers.
The communication was terrible too. I never got a call to let me know when my snake was going to be delivered, and when I asked for a tracking number, I never got a response. It's like they don't care about their customers at all.
And then, when I finally got my snake, it was in really bad shape. I sent Mike some pictures to show him how sick it was, and he basically accused me of lying and trying to get my money back. I mean, come on, I just wanted a healthy snake! I even offered to have a local breeder come take a look and keep the snake if it was too sick to save, but Mike acted like I was just trying to scam him.
Honestly, I don't even care about the money at this point. I just want my snake to be okay. But the way Mike treated me was so terrible that I had to write this review. I've bought snakes from a lot of different places, and I've never had an experience this bad. I would never order from Snakes at Sunset again, and I'd recommend that you avoid them too.
If you're looking for a good place to buy snakes, I'd suggest BHB Reptiles, BigAppleHerp, or Don Soderberg. They actually care about their animals and their customers, and they're not rude or dismissive like Mike at Snakes at Sunset. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
Concerns with Snakes at Sunset: Lied about snake's age and size, possible improper feeding and shipping practices
So, I gotta say, I've ordered from Snakes at Sunset twice now, and while I'm not exactly complaining, I do have some concerns. The first time I ordered, I got a fire ball python, and at the time, I was pretty new to the whole snake thing. He was only my second snake, and I'd only had my first for a couple of months before I ordered him. My only real complaint last year was that he seemed a little skinny, and his belly was a little pink, like it was starting to get burned. I didn't think to weigh him, like I said, I was new to snakes.
This time around, I ordered a pinstripe ball python, and he came in on time and was very active and alert. I'm happy with my little dude, don't get me wrong. And I appreciate Snakes at Sunset because they made a mistake and refunded me my money as I requested, and still sent me the snake. My biggest problem is that they lied to me. I asked them how old my little dude was, and they told me about three months. Well, here's where I know better, because when I weighed him, he was only 61 grams. Now, you're telling me you've been feeding my little guy every week for three months, and he only weighs 61 grams? There's no way.
Second, I feel like 61 grams is too small to ship. He's lucky he made it to me alive. It just seems too young and small to handle the stress of shipping. The website shows that he would come to me at between 85 to 125 grams. So, if he's weighing so little, either he's a fresh hatchling, or they weren't feeding him properly. When I weighed my first snake, he was a little over 160 grams, but that was after a couple of feedings.
The staff seems friendly enough, both times I've ordered, I haven't had any problems with them. But when I said something to them about the size and weight of my new little dude, I never got a response. Either they were starving him, or he's a hatchling who can't be an established eater. I haven't had a chance to feed him yet because, like I said, I cancelled my order and don't have the appropriate sized food. I will have the right size here in the next week or two.
I'm not really complaining here, I just don't like the shape my little dude came in, and I hate to see what kind of condition they keep their other animals in. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't seem to be affected by it. He's very lovely, alert, curious, and active. A lot of babies his size and approximate age are usually a little feisty, but not this little dude. I haven't had any problems with him yet. Anyway, my ranting and raving is over.
Reliable and Honest: My Experience with Snakes at Sunset
I've purchased from Snakes at Sunset a few times now, and I have to say, they're one of the most reliable snake breeders out there. I've bought a leucistic ball python and two anery corn snakes from them, and every time they've sent me exactly what I ordered. It's a relief to finally find a reputable company that doesn't scam their customers.
Their selection can be a bit limited at times, but I appreciate their honesty. If they have the species or morph I'm looking for, they're my first choice. And the health of their animals is top-notch. Both times I've ordered from them, the snakes arrived in great condition. The ball python was a healthy weight, which is impressive because I've had bad experiences with other breeders who starve their snakes to save money. Snakes at Sunset clearly puts the health of their animals first, which is important to me.
Long-term health is also a priority for Snakes at Sunset. All three of my snakes ate like champs from the first time I fed them, and they've continued to thrive. They've never had any signs of mites, tremors, kinks, or any other health issues.
The temperament of the snakes was also impressive. You could tell that they had already been handled a few times. They were fairly tame and easy to handle, and they never coiled or hissed. At first, they were a bit shy, but after a few weeks, they had lost most of that shyness.
There are a couple of downsides to ordering from Snakes at Sunset, though. For one, you can't select a specific snake. You can choose male or female, but the photo on the website is just a stock photo, so your snake may or may not look exactly like the one in the photo. I've never tried to make a special request, so I'm not sure if they would accommodate that.
The other downside is that they may hold your order at the FedEx hub if the temperatures are too extreme. I live in a rural area, so this can be a bit inconvenient for me, but I understand why they do it. They're doing it for the safety of the animals, which I appreciate. I just have to time my orders with the weather, which isn't too much of a hassle.
Overall, I highly recommend Snakes at Sunset. They're a reliable and honest company that clearly cares about the health and well-being of their animals. If you're looking for a new snake, definitely give them a try.
Mixed Experience with Snakes at Sunset: Healthy Snake, but Order Mix-Up and Lack of Transparency
I recently purchased a snake from Snakes at Sunset and wanted to share my experience. Overall, I did receive a healthy snake, but there were some issues with my order that left me feeling a bit disappointed.
I had ordered an extreme reverse okeetee corn snake and had to wait a few days for it to be shipped. Unfortunately, I did not receive a confirmation email, which made me a bit nervous. However, the snake was delivered on time and in good health, which was a relief.
The problem was that I did not receive the snake I had ordered. Instead, I received a butter stripe morph. While it was a beautiful snake, it was not what I had wanted. When I contacted customer service, they explained that there had been a mix-up with another customer and that the ERO I had ordered was not eating. While I appreciated their honesty, I wish they had been more transparent with me from the beginning.
Despite the mix-up, customer service did offer to replace the snake and gave me a refund on my next order. While I did not feel ripped off, I decided to purchase my ERO from another vendor to ensure that I received the snake I wanted.
On a positive note, the frozen pinkies I ordered arrived in good condition and the snake was packed well with a cold pack. It did have a slight neck kink, but I do not believe it will affect its long-term health.
Overall, while I did receive a healthy snake, I would caution others to ask questions and do their research before making a purchase from Snakes at Sunset. While they do offer good customer service, there have been mixed reviews and it is important to ensure that the specific snake you want is available and healthy before making a purchase.
Terrible Experience with Snakes at Sunset: Lost Gecko, Rude Employees, and No Accountability
I recently bought a gargoyle gecko from Snakes at Sunset and had a terrible experience. At first, everything seemed fine. I gave them my email, phone number, and shipping address, and we agreed on a delivery date. However, on the day of delivery, my father's health took a turn for the worse, and I had to reschedule all my work appointments to be with him at the hospital. I woke up early the next day to receive the package, but FedEx never showed up. I tried calling Snakes at Sunset twice, but no one answered. I was worried about the gecko, but I couldn't track the package because they never gave me a tracking number.
Later that day, I finally got a hold of an employee who gave me the tracking number. When I called FedEx, they told me that Snakes at Sunset had messed up the shipping address. I called back to update them, but the employee who answered was rude and unhelpful. He told me to call back in ten minutes and ask for Mike. When I did, another employee answered and asked me what my call was about with an attitude. I explained the situation, and he told me that Mike was too busy to talk to me. I was shocked that they didn't seem to care that a live animal was lost in the mail because of their mistake.
When I finally got to talk to Mike, he was just as unhelpful. He told me to track down the package myself, even though I had already done that. He didn't apologize for his company's mistake, his employees' rude behavior, or his own rudeness. He didn't even seem to care about the gecko's well-being. All he cared about was making another sale.
I would not recommend Snakes at Sunset to anyone. There are plenty of other businesses out there that are knowledgeable, polite, and professional. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Warning: Our Experience with Snakes at Sunset - Sick Western Hognose and Poor Customer Service
We bought a western Hognose from Snakes at Sunset for 700 bucks and it turned out to be a really sick snake from the get-go. As soon as we got it, we noticed that it had some issues. We took it to the vet and found out that it was infested with parasites and had other major problems that made it unable to move like a normal snake. We tried to contact the breeder about it, but they were not very responsive at first. It took a while, but we finally got a full refund. It was a tough situation, though. We had to put the snake down at the vet, which was really hard. We had only had it for about 5 months, but we ended up spending 650 dollars on vet bills because the snake was never going to have a good quality of life. We really hope that other people will consider using a different breeder if they're looking for a snake. We're only writing this review to try and prevent someone else from going through what we did.
Terrible Experience with Snakes at Sunset: Sick Iguana and Costly Consequences
I got a blue iguana from Snakes at Sunset and it was not in good shape when it arrived. The poor thing had its pelvic bones showing and it was obvious that it needed medical attention. I took some pictures of it and immediately took it to the vet. It was a tough day for me because I was late for work.
I contacted the seller and they told me that the iguana was just dehydrated. But I knew that it was more than that. I had to take the iguana to the vet many times and it was a very expensive and stressful experience. Unfortunately, the iguana died after a few months. It was a terrible loss for me.
The worst part is that the disease that the blue iguana had (probably crypto) spread to my albino iguana. I didn't know that soaking in pure ammonia is one of the only ways to disinfect for this disease. Now, I'm just waiting for my albino iguana to die because there is no treatment for this terrible disease.
I ordered the axanthic iguana from Snakes at Sunset back in April 2016 and it has cost me thousands of dollars and caused me so much heartache. I'm still living a nightmare because of this. I would never recommend anyone to order from Snakes at Sunset.
Disappointing Experience with Snakes at Sunset: Buyer Beware
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Snakes at Sunset. I mean, I know they have some cool snakes and all, but you really gotta be careful with these guys. I found out they have an F rating with the BBB, so that's definitely something to keep in mind.
Anyway, I bought a snake from them back in February and got her in March of this year. She was a sweet girl, but unfortunately she got sick and I had to have her euthanized. It was really tough, but I did everything I could to save her.
In June, she started having some problems with fluid retention and stopped eating and using her rear legs. I took her to the vet and found out she had ascites. The vet told me to force feed her every day, so I did that for five weeks. I also added extra calcium and protein to her diet and gave her oral meds for two weeks to help with the extra fluid. On top of that, she was given intramuscular antibiotics three times a week for three weeks.
After all that, she did start to get better. She regained some mobility in her rear legs and perked up a bit. But she still wouldn't eat. Her last radiograph showed that her swelling had gone back up, maybe even worse, and there was fluid in her lungs. It was really heartbreaking.
To be honest, I'm not sure if her health problems were caused by the fact that I got her from Snakes at Sunset or if it was just bad luck. But I do know that when I got her, her shell already showed signs of MBD and she was smaller than she should have been for her age. So that's definitely something to keep in mind if you're thinking about buying a snake from them.
All in all, I wouldn't necessarily recommend Snakes at Sunset. You really need to do your research and make sure you're getting a healthy snake. And even then, there's always a risk that something could go wrong. It's just part of owning a pet, I guess. But still, it's really tough when you lose one.

Disappointing Service and Failed Promises from Snakesatsunset.com
I recently bought a Mangrove monitor from snakesatsunset.com and opted for overnight delivery. It cost me an arm and a leg, almost $40! I placed my order on Monday and it's already Friday, but there's no sign of my lizard being shipped. I did get a confirmation email that my order had been processed through their company, but that's about it. I called them on Tuesday afternoon to inquire about my order since it hadn't been shipped yet. The guy on the phone told me that they were working on filling orders and that I would receive a confirmation email shortly. But it's been three days now, and I haven't received any email or my god damn lizard!
I was so frustrated that I decided to order from another company, and guess what? I received my lizard the next day, on time! The only reason I didn't order from them this time was that they were out of what I wanted. I am extremely upset about the poor service I have received from snakesatsunset.com and the dishonesty of the employee I dealt with. I'm still wondering if I'll ever receive my expensive order.
I mean, come on, snakesatsunset.com, get your act together! If you can't fulfill orders on time, don't charge people extra for overnight delivery. And if you're going to promise something, make sure you deliver on it. I'm not sure if I'll ever order from them again, but I hope they improve their service soon.
Disappointing Experience with Snakes at Sunset: Proceed with Caution
I recently had an experience with Snakes at Sunset that left me feeling disappointed. I was interested in purchasing a specific species of snake that they had advertised for sale on their website. When I contacted them to inquire about the availability of this species, I was told that the manager would need to sex the animals in order to provide me with more information.
I patiently waited for two days, following up with them a couple of times each day to check on the status of my inquiry. Despite their assurances that they would follow up with me, I did not receive any further communication from them over the weekend. This was particularly frustrating for me, as I had put off making a purchase from another seller in order to see if Snakes at Sunset had what I was looking for.
On Monday morning, I decided to reach out to them again to ask about their professional etiquette. Unfortunately, I never received a response to my message. As a result of this experience, I would not recommend doing business with Snakes at Sunset. In fact, I noticed that they have received a number of negative reviews from other customers, so it seems that my experience is not unique.
One thing that I did find interesting is that Snakes at Sunset appears to be connected to another company called Imperial Reptiles and Exotics. I was looking for a rare species of snake that was listed on both of their websites, which leads me to believe that they may be working together in some capacity.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Snakes at Sunset. While I cannot speak to the quality of their products or services, I would caution anyone considering doing business with them to proceed with caution.
Poor Quality and Lack of Response from Snakes at Sunset - Buyer Beware
I bought a ball python from Snakes at Sunset last November. When it arrived, it was quite cold, but it warmed up quickly. This was my first pet snake, so I took every precaution and set up everything exactly as it should be. I made sure to monitor the temperature and humidity gauges and settings, and everything was perfect. However, after a few weeks, I noticed that my snake wouldn't eat. I assumed that it was drinking because I had to refill its bowl every week or more, but I never noticed any urine. I contacted the company multiple times about this, but I never got a response.
My snake seemed much too small to be sold in the first place, and it was shipped in a tiny deli container full of its own urine and excrement, instead of a sack. I was very disappointed with the quality of the pet that I received from Snakes at Sunset. Unfortunately, my snake passed away today, even though it looked normal when I had it out yesterday. This was a shock to me, and I am trying to seek answers from the company.
I would not recommend ordering from Snakes at Sunset. They do not sell quality pets, and it seems like they are only in it for the money. It is very important to me that my pets are healthy and well taken care of, and I did not receive that from this company.
Terrible Experience with Snakes at Sunset: Dead Snake and No Response from Owner
I had a really bad experience with Snakes at Sunset. I tried to contact the owner twice by email, but I never got a response. When I finally received my package, I was shocked to find a dead baby ball python inside. There were no heat packs or cyropak to keep the snake warm, and it was just thrown in a box and shipped to me. It's really cold where I live right now, so I was really disappointed that the snake wasn't packaged properly.
I reached out to the owner again, hoping to resolve the situation, but I haven't heard back from them yet. This was my first time buying a baby ball python, and I spent a lot of time and money on it. I feel like I got ripped off, like they just took my money and sent me a dead snake. I wish I had read the reviews on Google before I made my purchase. On their website, there were a lot of 5-star reviews, so I thought it was a good idea to buy from them.
I really want this situation to be fixed before it becomes a bigger problem. I won't stop until I get a response from the owner and they make things right. It's not fair that I had to go through this, and I hope they take responsibility for their mistake. It's important to own up to your mistakes and make things right for your customers.
Unprofessional and Misleading: My Experience with Snakes at Sunset
I reached out to Snakes at Sunset to ask about a snake they had on their website. I wanted to make sure they had it in stock before I made a purchase. After reading some bad reviews about them, I was a little hesitant. But MikeB got back to me on a Saturday and said they had the snake in stock. So I went ahead and ordered it that same day. They said it would be shipped on Tuesday.
But when Tuesday came around, I got a message from Snakes at Sunset saying they had refunded my order. I had to ask them why, and MikeB told me that the snake I ordered wasn't actually in stock. I was pretty upset. They had told me it was in stock and even created a shipping label for it. But then they realized it wasn't actually available when it came time to ship it out.
When I complained about it, they posted my private emails on a public message board. That was really unprofessional and made me feel like my personal information wasn't safe with them. I wish I had listened to the negative reviews I read about Snakes at Sunset. I definitely won't be doing business with them again.
Disappointing Experience with Snakes at Sunset: Late Delivery & Availability Issues
I ordered a couple of snakes from Snakes at Sunset on a Monday. I was so excited to receive my albino motley corn and a female ball python on the upcoming Friday. I took a day off of work to ensure that I would be home to sign for the package. However, I was disappointed when I didn't receive any deliveries on Friday. I was worried and called Fed ex to see what was the issue. They explained that they never received the package. I was so frustrated and contacted Snakes at Sunset to know what was going on. They then explained that they accidentally fed the snakes on Thursday and couldn't ship them. I was so disappointed that they never contacted me to explain this.
I rescheduled delivery for the following Thursday and scheduled a half day at work to be home again. I was so excited to finally receive my snakes. However, I got a message mid-way through Wednesday that my order will ship, but the female ball python was no longer available. They wanted to ship a male instead. I was so disappointed because I wanted the female because of the size difference. I explained this to them, but all they offered was for me to buy a female morph at full price which was over double the price of the one I ordered.
I don't know how they managed to mess up so much on a single order. I was so disappointed and frustrated with their service. I canceled my order and will be going somewhere else. I hope they improve their service and communication with their customers.
Unprofessional and Non-Existent Customer Service from Snakes at Sunset: A Review
I've been into reptiles since the early 90s and I've had some bad experiences over the years. But let me tell you, nothing compares to the unprofessional and non-existent customer service I received from Snakes at Sunset. I ordered an animal on November 30th, and it was supposed to ship on Tuesday for a Wednesday delivery to the nearest FedEx Hub. But guess what? I didn't receive an email confirming shipping or tracking info. So I asked towards the end of the day if they shipped the animal, and I got no response! I sent numerous emails, but none of them received a response. Then, a week later, I get a random email stating "If you want the animal shipped today, please respond to the email." I said yes, please ship the animal, but still, NOTHING!
So, after three weeks of no response, I told them to just refund my money. They finally sent the refund, but it was $10 less than what I paid. Can you believe that? So, I asked them to send the $10, but their response was "there's a $10 cancellation fee"! How ridiculous is that? They didn't deliver the product that I purchased, and yet they penalize me for their incompetence.
I can't even rate their customer service because it's non-existent! I would never purchase from this organization again. It was the most unprofessional interaction I've had in 30 years of keeping reptiles. If you're looking for a reliable and professional reptile supplier, I suggest you look elsewhere.
my purchase experience
I think this place rocks! Purchased baby Calif king and veiled chameleon And be they arrived beautifully, on time and healthy as all get out. We are now, a month later enjoying the heck out of them both. Although snake is being a snot about eating and causing me extreme anxiety but thats my fault. I would absolutely buy from them again in a New York second. They care extremely about the animals.
sick mite infested snakes
If you want the truth about a breeder and healthy snakes, by all means do not give this A-hole your business, he is a liar, a thief and only in it to make money. His reptiles are sick and mite infested. I ordered three king snakes from him, when I got them I was stoked! Well opened the box, opened the tied bags looked in and saw mites all over the snakes and bags. I called this SOB and he told me it was my fault and then to top it off, hung up on me. Man, I have owned, bred snakes for 40 years, and this POS tells me it was my fault the snakes came from him infested with mites. I quarantined the snakes and over weeks got rid of the mites, but the kings were still thin and on deaths door. He is a sleezy, greeder breeder of reptiles who gives a rats [censored] about his reptiles and customers. Lots of reputable breeders out there, he is anything but reputable. Avoid him like the plague!
Complete and utter [censored] lie - no mites here in over 5 years - and we don’t ship kingsnakes in bags as we only sell hatchlings - all hatchlings are shipped in snake deli cups individually.
Total waste of time
I contacted Snakes at Sunset customer rep and asked about the snake which I really wanted to buy. The rep I spoke to assured me that it was in stock so I ordered it the same they. I was very excited about my purchase until I received a message stating that my order was cancelled because my snake was no longer in stock. Contacted them again and they promised me a refund. Well, I did get my money back, but that was a terrible disappointment and total waste of time. Highly unprofessional company!
they haven't delivered the order
The company provides terrible services. The website www.snakesatsunset.com didn’t provide services. When I ordered from them some food my pet, they haven’t sent the order. The only continued to send me different emails and offers, but they haven’t confirmed that my order was sent. I wasted my time and money on this website, but I really hope that they would provide money back and order. Don’t waste money there.
Owner wont respond until you cancel.. his response we are keeping a 10 dollar fee
