The latch on my SoClean 2 has broken. It failed 30 sept 2021. I messaged SoClean direct and no acknowledgement 5 days later. I find it remarkable that such an inexpensive part could render a piece of medical equipment inoperable. I use this every day and I am hoping for a quick response/resolution.

Desired outcome: I would like to know if there is a fix for this other than sitting a jar of coins on the lid, if that is even safe..
Hi, I have the exact same problem and not sure how to proceed for replacement or fix. This is the major piece on the cleaner to ensure the lid is closed which requires pressure. However, it is also the thinnest piece of plastic on the entire device. They should rethink how to secure the lid so that they are not using thin plastic to lock it down.
Same thing happened to me. No help from SoClean or anybody who supplies them. I just purchased a new one. The latch is different now.
Another Broken Latch
I E-Mailed SoClean my unit is out of warranty I just wanted to buy another lid. This was what they told me.
Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for contacting SoClean. We're sorry to hear about your recent trouble with your SoClean machine. Unfortunately, we do not carry replacement parts so the device would need to be replaced. This replacement is free if you are within your 2-year warranty; out of warranty, there is a discounted replacement cost of $149 plus tax. US pricing.
Until we're able to resolve this issue with you, we recommend that you discontinue using your SoClean. Please return to your original PAP set-up, hand washing your equipment as recommended by the PAP manufacturer using a free and clear soap.
Please contact our customer care team at [protected]. They are available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (excluding holidays), and would be more than happy to assist you.
Kind regards,
Tricia T.
SoClean Customer Care
Thank You for all your help. I'll fix it myself.
I'm on my second soclean2... I just load my mask as usual and place a weight on top of the lid, then hit the manual start.
Works fine.
Eventually I will purchase the SoClean3
One more thing...
My latch did not break, the spring-loaded catch has worn out so that it does not close. Maybe the weight on the cover won't help some of you as a workaround...
I agree the device should never fail and we should not have to wholesale replace the device for a small part.
