On 10/31 I called spectrum to inquire about the wifi service, the agent, brittani asked who my cell phone service was with and how much I was paying. I told her and she stated they have better phone plans and went into detail about the service. One of the services she mentioned was up to 500 buy out from the previous carrier. Once we completed everything with thing with mobil and wi-fi, I didn't hear anything from my previous carrier until yesterday 11/29/2023 so I thought everything was taken care of. They sent me an email stating I have an outstand balance of $567.11. I thought spectrum sent the $500.00 to my previous carrier, but that never happened. I call spectrums sale department today and was told they do not give buy outs for mobile phones, only cable tv. I gave them all the information that brittani told me and I was advised sorry, but we do not offer the $500.00 for buy outs for cell phones. I feel like she told me that to get the sale done which I was a downright lie. Now have to pay for a bill, when I could have stayed with my previous carrier and not have these issues. This is poor customer service, and false advisertiment. They should honor what their rep brittani told me!
Desired outcome: HONOR WHAT WAS TOLD ME TO ME WITH THE BUY OUT AND PAY MY PREVIOUS CARRIER UP TO $500 TO SWITCH OVER
