I went into the Speedway #43574 on North Ave in Lombard, IL (11/12/23) and informed the man behind the counter I needed a $50 Gift Card, he asked me if I was getting gas and I said yes, why does that matter, at which point he told me to go ahead and put in my credit card. after the transaction finished he handed me a Blue Fuel Card and I told him, I wanted a Gift Card, I wanted the 1000 points, why did he think I used my phone number (speedway account) to purchase the card, specifically so I could get the 1000 points. I asked him if I would get also get points for the Fuel card and he said No but there was nothing he could do about it now. He couldn't return it. I was angry and left the store. I proceed to put $37.79 in gas in my vehicle. Then the following weekend I went back to the same Speedway #43574 to use the balance of my FUEL card but the pump wouldn't take the card and I was forced to go inside, where I was informed there was a zero balance on my card!?! How could that be, what happened to $12.21 that should have been left on the card. I have proof of the charge receipt for $50.00 (11/12) on my Mastercard ending 5287and per my speedway account, [protected] I only got gas the one time 11/12 for $37.79, so what the hell happened to the balance of my card!?! The guy in store said I spent it but I did not, I only get gas once a week and you can only get gas with that card, so where did my money go? It is my opinion that man at the store that original night took the balance of my Fuel Card in gas in his car. It makes no sense how I could have a Zero balance. So not only did he screwed me out of 1000 points he also stole $12.21 of my money. Neither the original man or the man last weekend 11/19 would help me. I think someone should investigate what is transpiring at that location. Not that you care, I'm sure the $200-250 a month in fuel I spend means nothing to a big company like speedway but you lost a loyal customer and I would like a refund of my $12.21 and the man working 11/12 who sold me the wrong card and then would not fix his mistake and later stole the balance of money, should be fired.
