i have inquired several times in regards to a personal loan for the bank. i have had several loans with the back and have paid them off without any missed payments. when applying for the loan they ask a lot of questions that arent needed and invading personal matters. i have shown great payment history with the bank. when applying to the personal loan i get denied but dont have any real reasons to deny, the rep advises they dont know why i get denied when i have paid off several loans without any missed payments. i was advised they approve based off who submits the loan to the under writer ( favoritism) i have been with the bank for years

My car, Dodge Charger 2014, was totaled out 2. USAA then paid the remaining balance. When I was inquiring about the GAP insurance (Frost ***), they told me that I was charged for not having insurance in 2019 and 2020 and these fees were added to my auto loan, charging me in error. The total refund due is about $3335.00. I have reported this to the Credit Union (Acct ***) and while they say they are working on it but told by an employee I would be refunded $300ish dollar. I have always had insurance, see attached for proof. My supporting documents will show that I have had that vehicle insured since 2019 up until the account was closed.
Had my vehicle repoed from this credit union, you guys never told me about the $805 dollar repo fee you were going to charge me. I was informed the fees would be waived. How is charging a member 3 car payments when they are in a tough financial position helping? Not once did you inform me of fees that would be attached to my loan. This just screams how much you take advantage of your customers.

I was recently a victim of fraud my checking account was charged 5x for the same balance from a company I never heard of or used I don't understand how the stlcc fraud team was not able to distinguish that this was fraud never purchased anything from the company that withdrawn my money 5x when asked why it was detected the fraud team said it was charged different times and gaps in between when asked the bank teller what time was the charges they were within a minute apart and the teller than escalated to her supervisors after seeing they were a minute apart stlcc told me I had to wait til the transactions stop pending in order to dispute when they fraud team should've protected my account and those transaction should've been flagged as fraud

They closed all their branches without any notice. My debit card will not read. All my money is in there and I can't get to it. When you call you get a recording that goes on five minutes, to wait for someone to answer, but there's no one answering or in the building. There are no signs on the door saying they were closing either. There are no drive ups available either. I went to three locations and they are all empty.

I am complaining because I wanted to close my account with the branch and it seems as if my account has not been updated. I mailed the letter through *** and the tracking number shows the package was deliverd. I was told I owe an $80 balance and that I would need to write a letter and send a cashier check to the branch (West Florrisant location). I did that. I signed the check and I signed the letter I typed up. That was over a month ago. I am closing the account becasue I no longer live in Saint Louis. I want to open a secure credit card with the new branch I am with, but I can't due to this situation with STL Community. Each rep I speak with says the will pass along whatever notes to the branch, but I don't hear back from anyone. It's been well over two weeks now and still nothing. I attached a photo showing that I sent the check to the correct location.

We had insurance, ***, that made payments for us while we were unable to. We also utilized one skip a pay in June . The car was to be paid off in June . They are wanting us to make six more monthly payments and claiming that we utilized skip a pay three times. We have asked multiple times for the paperwork documenting that we skipped three payments and they can't produce it. They keep showing my signature from a different document. I have been trying to get this resolved for about eight months now and I keep getting the runaround. We would like to meet with them to get this resolved. They want us to pay until December and that is not right. We need our title so we can get our plates renewed. I called and spoke to Andy who said they would wave late fees, however, we were never late on payments.

I was told that my payroll check was a problem because the company checks where returned and that they would extend it out further to it clears and that none of the funds would be available. I hung up called back and was told that it was extended out again because the system and its out of their control. I contacted my employer a global company I may add that said no issues on their part and that the check cleared on the 16th. The hold is not the problem but why is a payroll check on hold for two weeks. I went in to a branch who called the processing center and was told that Lisa the person in charge made special notes on my account to have my funds held until the 26th of November which does not make sense. I would like to speak with Lisa and Shakenna's hire up to explain to me why this is happening.

My wife had been a customer of this credit union for many years and live in the City of St. Louis. Over 2 years ago, we were married and we moved to Ballwin, MO. Since the CU was so far away and there were no branches near us, she and I opened accounts and another CU. She maintained the account; because, her daughter was away at college. It was a way to get money to her if she needed it quickly. She also kept a Freedom Loan account open with no balance. Her last checking account transaction was 10/18. Since then, the account has gone dormant. Her daughter has finished college and she decided to close the account. She called the main number and asked to close the account. They said she had to go to a branch to close the account, and she had a zero balance on both accounts. We drove 30 miles to the closest open branch on 3/24. She was then told that her accounts had already been closed and the account had a $50 write-off for an annual fee charged to the Checking account; apparently, for the ability to keep the unused Freedom Loan account. The write-off occurred on 11/5. A derogatory report was concurrently sent to ***. First, she should have been told at the corporate office that here accounts were already closed, which would have prevented us from going out during the COVID-19 pandemic shelter in place order. Second, there was no notification of the write-off action before or after taking the write-off action. Her address is correct with the institution. Finally, when asked to reverse their action, they refused. The fact that such a charge was made on an account that was inactive for so long without prior notification is greedy and unethical.

My husband was laid off due to COVID19. St. Louis Community Credit Union, like other organizations offered to allow us to skip three months on our truck payment. The next payment was due in July. In June I began paying partial payments of $145. At the second payment I noticed that the total due had not decreased. I called the bank after staying on hold for over an hour, when I reached a representative, I explained my concern then she transferred me without explaining why or where. I called back a few days later and did not get through. I then paid the third installment at which time again nothing was deducted from my amount due. I called back and spoke to a bank representative and she indicated that once I make the full payment then the interest and everything would recalculate and show the accurate interest rate. I then paid the 4th payment which bought the total paid to $580, the truck payment is 568. The total owed on the loan decreased by $20. St. Louis Community Credit Union charged me $560 in interest. The idea to skip the payment was not to create an added financial burden. At no time during the paper work and explanation was it stated that I would paying double the amount of interest. I emailed and received no response. I called back and spoke to someone who eventually indicated that Andy would give me a call. Andy called I explained the situation, he agreed that he would have questioned the same thing. I also shared that I had postponed my other car payment with another lender and they did not price gouge me with interest, my payment resumed as if I had not postponed. Andy indicated that the other lender must have done something in their system so as to not charge me interest. I am paying 560 interest. Andy indicated that he would need to call me back. He did not call me back, I had to call back Monday to which I left a message and he called back and said that the only thing he could do was give me a credit of $145. I shared with him that was not acceptable as they were still charging me over $400 in interest. Plus I would still be paying interest on all upcoming loan payments, thereby paying interest twice on the same vehicle. He did not care. Just think how many other lenders that they may have done this too. I have a fairly low interest rate. The bank is throughout poor and underserved communities, they are taking advantage of our misfortune.

I had to get full coverage insurance before taking the car, so I secured it through a related company, effective immediately with a $1,500 deductible. This insurance proof was sent to the Credit Union on 11/12 with the loan agreement. On 4/21, an extra $2,265.00 was added to my account, raising my loan balance to $14,943.60, due to 'forced insurance' for not having full coverage, which I had. Despite providing proof, the Credit Union wouldn't remove the charge. I spoke with an assistant manager on 7/17, who claimed my deductible should've been $1,000, not $1,500, but I wasn't informed. My paperwork didn't specify this on the Supplemental Provision form. So, I was paying for both my insurance and the unnecessary forced insurance. After a non-fault accident on 4/24, my car was totaled, and I received a settlement of $9,632.50 minus my deductible. I was told by member services to speak with a supervisor. A manager agreed on 7/20 to remove only $1,000 of the $3,000 charge. I've learned this Credit Union has a history of such issues but hasn't faced complaints. At 24, I feel they're exploiting my age. The manager threatened to send the $3,000 to collections if unpaid. I want the full $3,000 removed from my loan as it's unjust.

Before a conversation about my ComplaintsBoard.com complaint with *** (member care member), he stated that some of my allegations were false, in particular, my complaint on the intension to collect on debt on my 2018 Nissan Sentra S SV SR, That was involved in a non-fault accident on 04/24 and the vehicle(2018 Nissan Sentra) was considered a totaled loss by *** on May 5. (claim number ***). *** stated that the conversation to collect a debt and the threat report me to the credit bureau never came up however I received a notice on 7/19 Notice of past due to payment which stated that 06/27 payment in the amount of $ $303.27 was 22 days past due and a late charge of $15.16 was added. It stated that previous efforts to obtain payment have been unsuccessful and if I would like to discuss the matter to call, and I did several times and informed ***, ***, and *** that this car was declared a total loss by the above-mentioned insurance company. The notice went on to state that We may report this to credit bureaus, late, missed payments, or other defaults that may be reflected in your credit report. Then on 07/25, I received another letter/notice from you dated for 7/20 stating that we have repossessed the reference collateral ( account number ***) loan note number ***, date 11/12 because I have broken the promises in our agreement and would charge me $25 just for calling and asking questions about this notice. I sent an email to *** asking for an explanation on how I broke my promise on a car loan that you ( ***) and your assistant manager at St. Louis Community Credit Union was made aware of the total loss. The above-named vehicle has been out of my possession because *** had it towed by ***. My car, Dodge Charger 2014, was totaled out 2. USAA then paid the remaining balance. When I was inquiring about the GAP insurance (Frost ***), they told me that I was charged for not having insurance in 2019 and 2020 and these fees were added to my auto loan, charging me in error. The total refund due is about $3335.00. I have reported this to the Credit Union (Acct ***) and while they say they are working on it but told by an employee I would be refunded $300ish dollar. I have always had insurance, see attached for proof. My supporting documents will show that I have had that vehicle insured since 2019 up until the account was closed.
On November 16th I did a mobile deposit in the amount of 758.00 166.00 was available at the time the remainder was to be released on the 18th. I called to find out why the amount was on hold. I was told that my payroll check was a problem because the company checks where returned and that they would extend it out further to it clears and that none of the funds would be available. I hung up called back and was told that it was extended out again because the system and its out of their control. I contacted my employer a global company I may add that said no issues on their part and that the check cleared on the 16th. The hold is not the problem but why is a payroll check on hold for two weeks. I went in to a branch who called the processing center and was told that Lisa the person in charge made special notes on my account to have my funds held until the 26th of November which does not make sense. I would like to speak with Lisa and Shakenna's hire up to explain to me why this is happening.
