In late 2019 my husband was diagnosed as needing to have hearing aids, and because of the persuasion of the doctor he purchased the Starkey Livio RIC hearing aids at the cost of $4000. This was not an easy purchase being retired on a fixed income but necessity called. To add to the cost, his phone was not compatible with the Thrive app so he bought a new Samsung S21 in hopes of it being the answer. It is now late 2023 and these hearing aids continue to be a huge disappointment. They have been replaced twice, the latest being Feb/March in 2023. Yesterday, again, the left hearing died! It will not charge. The left hearing aid has always been the problem!
I can’t believe that a name such as Starkey can’t make a product for the hearing impaired that is worthy of the cost. Now what do we do? Spending $4000 every 4 years is hardly the answer.
To add to the problems, the Thrive app is not user friendly as it never worked as it claims to. We have called technical support several times but the fix never lasts very long.
We are hoping that your company will help us with this issue or I guess we will look into other hearing aid products in hope of a more successful outcome.
Desired outcome: For Starkey to make us a satisfied customer and fix this ongoing problem.
