StartLogic Billing

Domain name: DeltaAdvisory:

I had cancelled the auto renewal for this domain in February, thought this was adequate to cancel the account. I received a billing for $401 for a renewal of hosting. My current agreement runs through 5/15/23. I was seeking a refund for these services. Because I have cancelled the Domain. there are no Hosting services you can provide.

The business was closed effective 12/31/22.

Desired outcome: Cancellation of charges

StartLogic Startlogic using my Account Data Illegally

Have been a customer for almost 10 years and now find that Startlogic are not only using my data illegally but also are trying to destroy my use of domain name.

My domain name is tft.tips and I have been using this name since 2014 and they are now trying to deny access to account information that has been used for almost the past decade.

Access is still available, yet data has been modified by them so that previous photographs are withheld from modifications and therefore files are not able to be modified.

They have moved all file data to a publically held entity when I have personally paid them to have secure access.

StartLogic Facing Problem But no Response from startlogic

23-12-2015 We are registered on start logic, facing problem like send mail receiving mail 2-3 times in a month, They are always says we trying to resolve, our server problem etc etc. Today facing Same problem but this time no response from their site. whenever i am trying to chat with startlogic no technical engineers are available to chat with us and resolve my problem. my work is hampering. pls help Pabitra Dutta Management Services

StartLogic Wish I had of researched it before I gave them our credit card number

We are very very disgusted with startlogic inc. company, startlogic. We signed up for a 2 year web site, but after a couple months our product failed, and so the web site was useless and unused. At the end of 2 years they billed us another $185. dollars and charged it through our credit card without letting us know. No email, no notification at all. This web site has been dead for a year and a half. They charged us for another 2 years on a dead web site. We did not authroize them to go into our credit card and take money for another 2 year contract. This is fraud. This is not acceptable buisness practice and we are very angry. We will be talking to the Better business bureau until these charges are reversed. We phoned startlogic inc., but they would not give us any options to cancel. Startlogic is conducting their business like a scam artists would! Startlogic has ripped us off. Startlogic web host should never be given your credit card. DO NOT ever give Startlogic Inc. your credit card or you may regret it! Isn't this a scam? Isn't this fraud? I found numerous complaint to the BBB for this company and wish I had of researched it before I gave them our credit card number.

StartLogic Unauthorized charges

StartLogic failure to report site traffic

Startlogic promises to supply website traffic. As a business owner, you rely on traffic count to sell advertising.

Everymonth, I get an email that says "view traffic". When I click on it, it shows false numbers. Then I open a ticket to find out why I'm not getting this information I need to supply my advertisers with. The tickets are almost always closed prematurely. They always reply that the situation has been fixed. It has never been fixed, after 4 complaints yet the tickets are all closed, and situation is "resolved" according to them.

If you are a business, and you need your website to make money, don't use Startlogic. Poor customer service, violation of own terms of agreement promising website traffic statistics, and MAJOR FTP issues.

Startlogic you SUCK.

Startlogic is doing a bait and switch.

They are DOWNGRADING all their customers' email storage quotas.

In a time when companies are doing more to win their customers' loyalty, Startlogic takes away from their customers. Way to get customer loyalty, you idiots!

StartLogic is a thief as well. I signed up with one account meaning if I go into it and set it to Manual Renewals, then no automatic transaction should occur right. Well, that is not so with Startlogic. They will still go into your bank account an withdraw your money Automatically.

This happened to me and I am demanding all of my money back. However, they would not give it to me saying that my account was canceled on Sept. 1, 09. Yeah, only after I contacted the company to tell that they are stealing my money. They had no right to go into my bank account and take my money. I contacted them to get their address and the CEO/President's full name so I can have my lawyer contact them about this un-authorize transaction. They won't offer up his name. If you claim to be a legitimate business then you should not hide behind your business.

Startlogic is a crooked business, web hosting company.

Better work fast I havefiled a complaint with the BBB I am going to report you to the SEC and also filing a complaint with the Arizona Attorney Generals office on monday I am going to file a class action lawsuit. If Startlogic cannot run an honest bussiness I am going to help take them down.

New ticket reguarding web page responsiveness and FTP issue:

I am having FTP issues, the server is forcibly closing the connection, the web page is very unresponsive, please remind me what I signed up for when I allowed Startlogic to access my bank account and take money from me.

Why is everything so hard to accomplish for you people, are you really a technical specialist or are you reading out of a book as you go along I guess startlogic's workforce is not the cream of the crop why else would startlogic be able to offer good pricing...
...Can you find someone who is somewhat competent in their job and fix the problems brought to your attention or at least outsource to someone who can accomplish what is advertised?

StartLogic they kill your business

Startlogic accidentally deleted my webaccount, making my site non functional for almost a week now and is still in process of retrieving my databases and main site... No one seems to care about your problem and that you have abusiness to run... All they do is say sorry, not solve anything and refer you to their disclaimer that they are not liable for any damages ( to be determined) ... They love to say the issue issue is resolved while not resolving a thing, it is impossible to get past any first level service ( tech, cut and builling) who are incompetent solving a real issue and seem to be ok with that and put you on 48 hour wait for resolution scripts.. but then they do not resolve a thing... There are so much more webhosting companies out there... STARTLOGIC NEVER AGAIN... LESS YOU WANT TO SPEND A WEEK TALKING TO A WALL OF ILL EQUIPED AND PREPARED SERVICE REPS FROM INDIA AND THE PHIILIPINES... ITS A NIGHTMARE

StartLogic Unreliable service!

Since 2004 I have experienced the following problems with Startlogic: The premature closure of support tickets, with no response from the helpdesk. Removing Anonymous FTP access. I can no longer host files via FTP for users unless credentials are created for them. Main account to connect to my site via FTP was disabled for no apparent reason. I had to log into my vDeck and create a new user. Lots of problems with the vDeck control panel and items refusing to load, or the entire control panel becoming inaccessible.

Inability of the Startlogic Helpdesk to create a CNAME subdomain record correctly. They fail to put a full stop/period after the name of the server I am pointing the CNAME to. This is despite me advising them to use a full stop. This functionality is available in the vDeck Control panel, but only when it's working!

Extensive delays in having my hard disk space increased. They would increase storage space for me and I would find the next day that it had reverted to the previous size. Failure of email services from time to time. Inability for the Startlogic helpdesk to email me at my New Zealand ISP (Orcon) email address. Nothing ever comes through that they send to that address, whether it be from a person or any automated notification system they have configured. They can email me at my @nztechie.com address.

StartLogic Terrible scam!

I signed up for this service feeling confident that I would be able to get a refund if I was not happy with the service. The boast a 30-money back guarantee, 24/7 on line chat help, 24/7 tech support. Unfortunately, once they get your money there is absolutely no service provided. Phone calls to their 800 number go unanswered... ooops I forgot, one department does ALWAYS answer the phone... that would be the sales department. E-mails are routinely ignored, support tickets ignored, tech help... non-existent. The alleged 'live chat' support has not worked since the day I signed up. I contacted my charge card company to see if they had a phone number on file. The number submitted with the claim for payment is a disconnected number... why was I not surprised about that!?

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY.

After attempting to call Startlogic (SL) to cancel account l, I found they disconnected all phone customer service. Emailed SL March 24 of April 12, 15, 16, 20 to cancel & NOT charge my ccard for a renewal.

SL IGNORED emails. Pissed Customer said they refused to read. SL charged my card almost $400 ILLEGALLY - card was expired

Well I cancelled my account in July, 2015. Charges stopped, then charges started again in September, 2015 and they claim I signed up for a 2nd account in April 2014...what a joke. Any suggestions on where to file complaints?

Startlogic automatically charged my credit card for a yearly fee which I did not agree on, and which was double what we had agreed to the year before. Not only that--but if you can believe--they charged me twice. So, instead of the $59.40 I was charged for 2010, I saw a debit from my card for $214.80 for 2011--and they told me it was a "technical glitch". Very bad business.

In January Startlogic locked access to my site Old Forge Coal Mine for reported excessive bandwidth and too large a site. I was paying yearly for unlimited bandwidth and 50GB storage. I have no control of who downloads from the site and only had 16 GB of storage used. In January I informed Startlogic I am removing all information and do not renew my account. On April 4, 2015 they billed my Discover Card for domain renewal without my permission . After contacting their business dept by phone I was assured a credit would be issued. They outright lied to me as I soon received an e mail stating my account would not be renewed " when your current billing term expires." I have contacted Discover Card and will be filing fraud and credit card misuse charges with the Pa. and Ma. Better Business Bureaus and the Interstate Commerce Commission. This is a very dishonest company. Search on line and read all the complaints before you ever think of using their services.

The StartLogic is ONLY a Cheater !

THEY DELETED MY ACCOUNT AND DATABSE WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION. THEY SAID DATABASE WILL BE KEPT FOR 14DAYS.

I have found that there are no database backup files in the deleted account. It might have been deleted before the account was deleted. Now, I have created the database in your new account with the database name ‘xxx_ary2’. If you have any backup of the database ‘xxx_ary2’ in your local machine, please import the backup files to the database and check from your end.

I canceled my account two weeks after signing up because nothing was being done yet they charged me $50 as a fee to do so.

I've used Start Logic for a few months now and have had nothing but trouble. Their customer support is zero!

ok, i have been a start logic customer for around 4 years. before that i used different random hosting providers and they were horrible. Start Logic is THE BEST hosting company i have found. With any company comes a few bad apples, and im sorry you had to deal with them, but maybe next time calling would be a better option. granted, at times the queue on tech support can take a few minutes, but they are very helpful. their website builder is the greatest IVE ever used and im not to computer savvy. i dont think you should profile an entire company as bad because you had one bad experience. and why would you wait 3 weeks to try and get your email fixed. if mine was down i would call the day i noticed a problem...i think you all are just biting off your nose to spite your face, and if you REALLY wanna see a garbage hosting company, try go daddy...

Yes I agree. StartLogic is the worst ever. They are never able to help you and all they cause is one big headache! Have a look at my most recent communication with them., If this is not an indiaction to stay away then I don't know what is.
