Scam, scam, scam. I don't know how they get your email and registration information, including the fact that my renewal is coming up, but this is a complete scam. These guys are not affiliated with your department of motor vehicles. They charge an $18 processing fee. I had already paid for my renewal via the RMV website and I still fell for this scam! I plan to file a civil action.

We were on the official DMV site and was rerouted somehow to your site without our consent
We recently renewed our vehicle registration, we were on the official DMV website doing our renewal and apparently ended up, without our consent or knowledge, routed to you as a third party and charged a fee. None of our paperwork shows this fee but our bank account was affected by pulling out more funds than any of our paperwork shows. I want this additional fee refunded and in future I will take time off work to renew in person in the DMV office.
Desired outcome: I wish the difference in funds between my receipts and the amount withdrawn be returned

You need to make sure it is a government website and if it redirects you away from it then you were on the incorrect website. It should always end in a .gov for any government website and will not redirect you to one off of it as payments can made directly online. The DMV will not refund the money removed you will have to contact the company that took the money directly and double check your registration to make sure it actually went through.
Possible double registration charge for 2020
While doing my 2020 income taxes I ran in to two AZ Vehicle Rregistration fees, the 1st charge was on 01/02/20 for $260.06 and the 2nd one was done on 12/11/20 for $228.53, can this be a mistake or i am not understanding why I am paying two registration fees nine days apart, I would greatly appreciate you looking into this, thank you. Not understanding why I am paying two registration fees for 2020 9 days apart when i own only one vehicle

Deceptive practices
I thought I was using the official Texas DMV site to renew my registration online in order to take advantage of the State's online $1 discount. I got an immediate receipt from Texas DMV showing my total charge was $77.25. Only after receiving my PayPal monthly statement do I realize my renewal was routed through 'StateRegistration.org' and they had tacked on a $17.75 service fee and charged my PayPal account a total of $95.00. It was not my intention to use the services of 'StateRegistration.org' and feel I was deceived. If Texas DMV wants to let 'StateRegistration.org' anywhere near the Texas DMV website, they should post a bold notice for everyone to see advising clients that a 3rd party service would be utilized to process online renewals and that a hefty service fee would be tacked on and paid to that 3rd party. I am very upset about this and have tried to call the phone number of 'StateRegistration.org' only to receive a recording stating they are not answering phone calls. The PayPal transaction number is Transaction ID: 1FJ3342653030352V and I would like the $17.75 refunded asap. I don't have extra money during these times and feel like this company is misleading. I will be filing further complaints if I am unable to get this money back.
Desired outcome: Refund the $17.75 service charge.
Despite the company's genuine attempt to obtain information related to this complaint, the customer didn't reply to their messages.
Therefore, the complaint is considered resolved.
dmv registration
I thought I was using the official DMV site and realized after I submitted all of my information and paypal payment that I had mistakenly used the wrong site. In looking at my past registration I realized that I authorized an additional fee for some sort of "one click" renewal that I am not interested in and I will not be using this site ever again. I feel very upset about this and tried to immediately rectify the problem by stopping the transaction on PayPal. It would not let me do it. The PayPal transaction number is Transaction ID: 4F9358508X591544L and I would like my money refunded asap. I don't have extra money during these times and feel like this company is misleading. I will be filing further complaints if I am unable to get this money back. I also just got back a notice saying my registration can't be renewed. Please send this money back so I can renew my registration. I would rather do the DMV renewal.

Ohio license plate renewal
I went online to renew my Ohio license plates on May 30, 2020. All indications were that I was on the Ohio DMV renewal site. I received my new stickers but just received my credit card statement and saw that I was charged $85.21 when the charge to keep my current plates is only $66.42. This is an $18.79 overcharge. In calling the number that appears on my credit card statement I realized that this is NOT the Ohio site but I had been redirected to a third party site. I would like the $18.79 refunded. The transactions ID is KYRE9GS5. No dollar amount appears on the page I printed so there was no way to know that I was charged an incorrect amount at the time of the transaction.

online license renewal
I entered texas.gov and website stateregistration.org appeared, so I place my order online through this website. I noticed they charged 16.75 more.
I did not question this until I received confirmation and it did not state
anywhere this is from texas.gov
I am furious! Now I have to dispute this charge and figure out if i should re-order my license registration through the correct website.
This website should not appear when you enter texas.gov which is what is provided from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles enclosed paperwork.
This website should state upfront this is not an affiliated with Texas Dept of Motor Vehicles and that they charge a Service Fee if you order your license plate registration from their website. I want a refund for their hidden fee service. I will be contacting my credit card Monday 6/22/2020 to dispute.
StateRegistration.org customer care service did everything in their power to resolve this complaint. All attempts to contact the complaint author have failed. Therefore, this complaint has been annulled and must not be considered where company image and it's services are concerned.
Unethical online va state registration
I thought I was using the official DMV site and realized after I submitted all of my information and credit card payment that I had mistakenly used the wrong site. I have no intention of using this site again as I usually am able to pay for 2 years and also opt for a new license plate on " the Official DMV Site. After reading the FAQ on this site I realized that I authorized a fee of additional $16.xx for some sort of "one click" renewal that I am not interested in as I have no intention of using this site ever again. I was told I would receive an email confirmation which has not happened but within seconds they have charged my credit card. I want a refund as I am left in the dark about how and when I would receive my new registration. This seems very unethical to me.

registration renewal
I recently renewed registration on our Ford F250 on line. I was not made aware that it was a 3rd party and looked just like the ADOT site. I was charged an extra $16.00. This is unethical and I want to be refunded. I have another renewal coming up and I´m reluctant to do it online. And how do I know I´m on the ADOT site and not a 3rd party site? I would appreciate a response.

i just renewed my 2005 Truck at a site that charged me additional 16.00, and I didn't receive a registration card. I was told i would receive an email with my registration. When will i get that email or did i get rip off?

registration ripoff
I mistakingly thought this website was the texas dmv. Once I paid for the "registration service" I was told I would receive an email right away with further steps needed in order to process my registration. I never recieved that email. But they sure had no problem taking my money.
I want a full refund. I don't forsee that happening. This is so annoying. Im a veteran mother who works really hard and now I cant even honestly renew my registration. Pissed off.

They refunded my money.
vehicle registration renewal
I attempted to renew my vehicle registration online.
After being notified that my credit card was not accepted I was redirected to state registration.org. I did not realize that I was dealing with a third party and was charged $53.25 instead of the $38 actual fee for registration.
I want to cancel my payment. I will notify my credit card company and the appropriate consumer protection agency of this scam.
My payment was fully refunded.
car registration renewal
On 11/10/2019, I was Visa card ending in ... 6220 was charged for my Utah vehicle registration. The description is "UTVehiclregutrenewal"; I don't know the company address, and I'm guessing at the name, because the name or address wasn't listed on my credit card transaction - just a phone number of: 1-888-206-4902. From my auto registration renewal card I received via mail, I input the website the DMV had listed on the card for where to go to register my vehicle. Mistakenly (I now know) I thought it would take me directly to where I intended to go - to the DMV registration for my state. I think it then took me to a list of sites and I chose the dmv.utah.gov site - thinking this would be correct. While I was doing my registration, nowhere within the site it took me to, did I see I actually wasn't where I intended to be. I only found this out recently when I went to review/reconcile my credit card transactions and found the charge for my renewal was much more than my registration fee cost. So, I called the DMV and the customer service representative told me what the registration cost was and I told him I was charged more than that. That's when he told me there are websites/companies that mimic the DMV site and charge third party fees on top of the registration fee. Then I went to my credit card on-line website to do a bit more research, to find this seemed to be exactly what happened - since the phone number (the only information attached to the charge) wasn't the DMV's number. Since again, there was no name attached to the charge, it made it a bit more difficult to find out where I think it came from. I'm requesting to have the exorbitant third party fees of $17.75 refunded, since I'm sure at this point, nothing can be done about the total amount, and I did actually receive my registration. However, if I had known this would happen, I would've gone directly to the local DMV to register - it's not that far. This really is not nice, and again, there was nothing that clearly stood out to me informing me that the site being used was really not the state site.

this site is a man-in-the-middle scam
I was delayed in getting my vehicle inspected and once done I rushed to get the registration process going. Unfortunately I did not pay attention to the site that Google directed me to. This is not the official state registration site. They charged me extra for something that the state provided for free. Their claim of "being responsive" and "convenient one-click" renewal are worthless. In addition my registration approval was delayed 3-4 days in the process.
Never again.

I would like to receive the 30.00 I was overcharged.
Amount removed from my bank account -$135.78, the amount of ADOT registration was 105.78. Why was I charged 30.00 more than the registration ?

website mimics state site for registration renewals and charges unnecessary fees
This site is a government impersonator - obviously its a money maker or they world stop!
I searched google for my state registration website and this site came up, appearing to be the site for my state's dmv, but instead it was a 3rd party. I thought I was on my state's site, but according to the dmv, this site will take me to theirs, leading me to believe I am dealing directly with the dmv. However, when I saw my bank statement, I saw I was charged an additional $17+ for my state registration for my car.
This is ridiculous, and outrageous, and I only hope I save someone the additional expense for something that should be no additional costs! The state does not charge a processing fee, and I only hope they can shut this business down! This is a scam!
I copied another person's complaint. This is a recurring scam.
I fell into the same trap.
I hope others read this and don't get scammed like the rest of us!

renew registration
When I did a google a search for renewing my registration online, I got stateregistration.org. I n my rush to renew, I didn't realize they were a third party company who charged me a fee for registering my car. I would never have paid an additional fee for a service my local dmv offers for free. Its a scam and they should not be allowed to charge people for a service that is offered fe by the official dmv in my state.
This was resolved to my satisfaction. My account was credited back $20.

This site is such a SCAM. I have requested my money back as I have gone to the official DMV webpage & submitted my registration renewal. Shame on these people

This Company is a fraud and scam. I received an e-mail from them with misleading and fraudulent information.
When I asked for the Name of their CEO and the corporate mailing address they refused to provide this info,

Dammmmmmmmnnnnnn StateResistration.org just taught you a thing or two! That was a pretty thorough burn right there! StateRsgistration.org don't play yall! Beat him down beat you down! Who else want some of StateRegistration.org huh?
texas renewal
I'll admit I did not notice that this is a third party website and I should have. I noticed it as soon as I had gone through the payment process. However, it told me that I would need a vehicle inspection before my registration could be completed and that they would "send me an email shortly." However, that email hasn't come and the $93.00 is already removed from my account.
I would like for StateRegistration.org to cancel any kind of registration process they have going for me (if they do at all) and refund me my money. I'd much rather conduct business through the gov site.
I can provide my transaction ID if needed over email
Very quickly resolved and refunded! Thank you!
