I had a great experience with this company
I had a great experience with this company. They were one of the few companies that would let me make payments when I was interviewing companies. Everyone I encountered was friendly and answered my questions. If someone did not know they would let me know and get back to me which is good. I was able to do an innocent spouse and get my debt removed since my ex husband is the one who really made this mess and I had no clue. I would recommend to people and actually I did to my sister who is current with them. Thank you to Carla and her team.
I needed help with an involuntarily Dissolved S Corp for a small Martial Arts School
I needed help with an involuntarily Dissolved S Corp for a small Martial Arts School. I had to close the school as I was dealing with a third bout of Cancer and neglected to file when I was in treatment. I supplied this company all of the necessary paperwork, but they continually sent in forms associated with my personal taxes and not the S Corp. I asked continually to reach out to the IRS to have this resolved. It's been going on for about a year and a half. This Company does things wrong and don't follow up. I would recommend to never use this Company.

I could not be more satisfied with my experience with StopIRS. Excellent work, wonder staff. I had over 10 years of unfiled taxes. I am so grateful that I found you guys. Ron was terrific! thank you again for all your help. Highly recommend them.
StopIRS Exceeded all my expectations! Great customer service from Chris ***! Highly recommend!
I found out about this place through a friend and had some IRS issues to manage/get advice on. My experience here was great. Chris helped me through everything and answered all my questions, so professional and great customer service!
After speaking with Chris *** I was happy to do my taxes with stop irs! Thank you Chris for patience and understanding
StopIRS debt has helped me so much these past few months
StopIRS debt has helped me so much these past few months. Before signing on I was feeling so lost with my tax issues. Speaking with my case manager who was available over the phone, Live Chat, and by email made it so easy to keep up with the process in my busy life. In the accounting dept Kendall is so kind and patient, any changes or payment updates she was happy to help with. She also helped me reach my resolution specialist Ariana she was able to address all my concerns and made this all so much smoother. So glad to have their help, it's such a relief that I will soon have this all behind me!

I contacted this company back in October paid them $450 a month for 6 months. That's $2,700. They told me my case is an easy one I've been paying an installment agreement for 10 years. They said it would take a few months to get this settled I was paying $246 a month on the installment got it cut the 226 haven't heard from them since. When I contacted them today they said the irs's way behind and it could take them up to 2 years to handle this case. So I would think about what I'm going to do if I were you
I am extremely happy with StopIRSdebt. I contacted them after working for several years as a freelance artist. I had major debt and desperately needed someone to guide me through the process of dealing with the IRS. They have been consistent in keeping me informed of where the case was and how long it take to clear everything up.
I called in and had questions about my case. I spoke to a young lady Valerie who told me she was in accounting but could help me best she could. After explaining my complicated case to her she put me on a brief hold and transferred me over to *** who was a pro to say the least. All my questions were answered and I was able to relax the rest of the weekend. Thank you both for the help.

My son left a stern 1 star review about StopIRSDebt.com regarding my bad experience as they have done nothing for me and I had been paying them fees for 8 months with zero results. How are they still in business with all those 82 other bad reviews that we read on this page? I am desperate for assistance and why am I wasting my money if they are not doing a thing to help me? They are bad at not answering my calls. I NEED hep badly. I will look elsewhere for a tax debt relief agency soon if this continues. I hope this 1 star review will get their attention. Otherwise, I would NOT recommend this agency at all.

THANK YOU STOP IRS! I heard the adds on Sirius XM. Right from the first call they made it easy. I love the client portal it made everything so easy and clean. I was able to upload all my documents with ease. Ron was super attentive and professional throughout the whole process. They made it very convenient to get in touch whenever I had a question. I was always able to get a rapid response using the Livechat feature. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a tax issue. Thank you again guys!
What a relief finding Stop IRS, after years of not filing. I finally had to get help in resolving my tax issues. No way would I have been able to deal with the IRS on my own. Right away they started on my case and everything was resolved within a few short months. Ron even helped me by reducing the amount in fees to close my case out. You guys are amazing!

I had seen the commercial a couple of times but I could not bring myself to call until I received a letter and this scared me so I called and spoke to a very knowledgeable person and she not only gave me great advice she also explained to me what they would be able to do for me, step by step. The process took a little longer than I thought but the outcome was a great relief to me. They filed all my missing tax returns even the one's I thought I filed. Stop IRS was able to get reduction for me just by filing my returns. I work the night shift therefore it's tuff for me to get on the phone but they have a client portal and I am able to look up how the case is progressing, this was such a plus for me! JUST SIMPLY ONE WORD DESCRIBES HOW I FEEL NOW THAT IT IS OVER...RELIEF!

This company is a scam!
This company is a scam! Cost was $3000.00 to start the process of working toward settling a dept with the IRS. I now owe more money including what they charged me than I owed before I started this horrible journey. Now, before my case is even finished they locked me out of my client portal which is the only way to know what's going on with my account. Got an email which states if I pay them $125.00 per year they will keep the portal open! There wasn't any mention of this added charge when I hired this company onand when you can get in touch with anyone all they do is apologize and tell you they wish they could do more. I was assured up front that my case was strait forward and that I would owe significantly less than I was paying. Like I said at the beginning I now owe more than I did when I started with these people.

I called Stop IRS Debt and was told I needed to hire them because I was in trouble with the IRS
I called Stop IRS Debt and was told I needed to hire them because I was in trouble with the IRS. She wouldn't let me read the stuff I was initialing she told me to hurry up. I should have hung up but was scared because I owe the IRS. Then they told me I had to give them all this information. So I was paying them to do nothing. They told me to write them a letter saying I no longer need their services so I did and now they won't stop harassing me. My account is on hold and the IRS is coming after me. They are more stressful than the IRS! I need them to stop and leave me alone! They have done nothing to help me but everything to intimidate me! These are not good people! How do we stop the harassment! I do not want their help ! They are aweful. They say they were going to charge me a certain amount then charged 20 more but couldn't tell me why. How do you stop the harassment how?

I needed help with the IRS and StopIRSdebt.com helped me
I needed help with the IRS and StopIRSdebt.com helped me...I did not file for several years and I own a home and have a job, i was afraid the IRS would come after my home, garnish my income and i would put my family in a horrible position. I called StopIRSdebt and the tax advisor was very knowledgeable and proficient ..She made it very comfortable for me and listened to all my concerns, after i paid them their affordable legal fee 's (and may i add they were the only firm that allowed my to make it in payments) when you live paycheck to paycheck this was huge :) they went to work right away to protect me and my family ...letter from the IRS stopped coming and i was able to communicate with StopIRSdebt with no problems , this gave me the peace of mind and let me focus on my family needs..Thank you StopIRSdebt for helping me and my family out from something i dreaded doing and scared of doing if i can be honest ...
they had me pay 2400.00 and after they were paid they did not answer my phone and told me i called 7 times in one day
they had me pay 2400.00 and after they were paid they did not answer my phone and told me i called 7 times in one day. i was hung up on three times as they are trying to transfer me. now they tell me they cannot help me til i pay them another 1500.00 because i called them so much and taking up their time. Betty tells me she is the only one i can talk to and i need to re read my agreement with them where it says they can charge me more. so far to date they have not done a thing even though Boss Betty says they put in 11k in billable hours. but yet no reduction of taxes. wow not what you would expect from a good reliable company. they said that the IRS refuses to lower any payment so they did nothing for us but still paid them 2400 or 2500 dollars. hard to believe they can do this for people looking for help cause we cannot afford to pay this. feel very violated by this company and very tough to trust anyone out there.

I'm so happy I decided to call Stop IRS Debt!
I'm so happy I decided to call Stop IRS Debt! They have made my life so much easier. I'm able to rest easy while they do the heavy lifting. They were very detailed on what they can do for me and so far, I'm very pleased. I read complaints that they don't communicate or call or didn't do anything... I find that hard to believe. My tax advisor Michelle *** specifically told me when I signed up that they are nationwide, if you call the service department you will experience a hold as they are on the phones with the IRS. The client portal (which no other tax mediation firm has) allows us to track the case and see what stage their at in the process. There's also live chat so I can ask any question I have and I get a response within 2 minutes. I've been working with them for 10 months now and if I need to speak with a live person, Michelle Brown always answers my calls. So again, I would recommend this company to everyone. 5 STARS!

After getting a letter from the IRS that said they were going to seize my assets, I called a bunch of tax firms looking for help
After getting a letter from the IRS that said they were going to seize my assets, I called a bunch of tax firms looking for help. The reason I decided to hire Stop IRS Debt is because of the way that my advisor Brad took the time to discuss my situation with me. He also explained what needed to be done. It wasn't like the other firms I talked to, where they just pushed me to grab my checkbook... He really took the time to tell me how they could help (he was also really honest with me, explaining that I would have to pay the remaining balance to the IRS when they were done with the representation... it's like he didn't want it to sound too good to be true). The process did take longer than I would have hoped (it was about a year), but in the end Stop IRS Debt was able to lower my tax debt and they got me on an affordable monthly payment plan. I've told several friends to call them for help with tax issues, because they're the best!

I only left 1 star for this review because my review would not post if I didn't and this company takes your money!
I only left 1 star for this review because my review would not post if I didn't and this company takes your money! My husband and I hired this company about 2 years ago to try and resolve an issue we had with our taxes from the previous years. I had questions and needed to speak to someone. On several occasions, no one ever answered the phone or if the answering machine came on, I would leave a detailed message. My phone calls were never returned. Once, I called and was placed on hold for so long that when someone did answer, the business was closed for the day. They knew how to collect their fee on time every month though. My husband and I were shifted to different colleagues. It was very frustrating. Finally, I received an e-mail stating that the IRS was willing to make arrangements on the 28th of each month. We could have easily called the IRS and made those same arrangements and saved two- thousand dollars. What a rip-off! BE WARNED!
Do Not Use This Company!
Do Not Use This Company! They have not done anything they promised, they were supposed to file a Do not collect notice to IRS to stop collections, well now we notified by IRS that they are beginning to start deducting 15% of my social security payments, can't get StopIRSdebt, to even acknowledge my emails for help. Secondly they pull $60 more per month from my bank when my profile page says $60, less then they are taking. Next they claimed they would get us under the new tax breaks as non-collectable due to me being 86 years old and a 100% disabled veteran. Now we owe $35,000 to IRS wow. They had us sign papers with IRS to pay $500 per month I told them we can't afford this but they claim it was only so IRS would work with us , well now IRS has access to my bank account for $500. plus 15%. StopIRSDebt has been, No help we would have been better off to talk to the IRS myself. Also they keep adding on a year that we already settled with IRS on a payment plan and paid off months ago. Now my next plan of action is to hire a tax lawyer to fix this mess and hopefully get our money back from this low rate business.

I hired StopIRSdebt.com to resolve over $7,500 total in back federal taxes I had for (2016, 2017, & 2018)
I hired StopIRSdebt.com to resolve over $7,500 total in back federal taxes I had for (2016, 2017, & 2018). There was not enough money being withheld monthly so that's how I got myself into such a predicament. While StopIRSdebt.com was able to negotiate a monthly installment payment lower then I was previously paying, I feel they could have done more for me since I paid them roughly $2,000 to settle my case.. The lower monthly installment payment was offset by me having my W-2 withholdings changed in which an extra $300 monthly is deducted from my income. The following are reasons while I feel I was short changed by this company's services. 1) I'm still accruing interest on the taxes owed. 2) I owe approximately $2,000 less than I owed last year which is not significantly less. 3) The company's billing department kept screwing up my monthly payment and as a result I received a couple of late fee charges. I was fed up so I paid them off a bout 3 months early rather then continue to have issues with my monthly bill. Furthermore, I was doubled bill once and the supervisor I spoke to resolve this issue was totally unprofessional and was sighing over the phone.
I contacted StopIRSDebt.com about or before 4 months ago
I contacted StopIRSDebt.com about or before 4 months ago. they have absolutely nothing for me. I've been paying them $285.00 per month. they sent me a link to send all my documentation to them and I did exactly that. I didn't hear anything back from them for several weeks to see if they received the paperwork that they had ask for. so I called them just to find out that they didn't get all the paperwork. I was highly upset because they were continually getting their $285.00 and had not done anything with IRS and the State Tax Board. So I decided to copy everything they had ask for and mailed hard copies to them. they had never to email me a stupid proposal that was utterly an insult. I want all my money back and you will never get another penny from me! You are nothing more than a SCAM. You make people believe that you have their best interest at heart and really all you want this their MONEY. I was never behind in my payments with the IRS which I was paying them $100.00 a month. You had never to send me an agreement of paying them $94.00 a month. WHAT HAPPEN HERE! What did you do to get them to reduce this to a big whopping $6.00?! And you never contacted the State Tax Board about what I owed them. WOW! Just give me all my money back NOW! I have been real patient with this SCAM of a company. You never keep your word to call me back and I have waited on the phones for so long until the phone disconnect me. I will be getting the Complaintsboard.com and the Attorney General Office if I don't get all my money back.

These people are scamming hard working individuals
These people are scamming hard working individuals. Stephanie Green told me that she was able to help me with my case and that this company might be able to save me half of what I owe to the IRS but first she has to determine if I qualify. She then said yes i did qualify and it cost me almost $3,000 to acquire their services. After 4 months of waiting StopIRSDebt finally came back to me and informed me that in order for my case to go in front of the line or even move was to pay the rest of the balance which was $1,500. A couple of months after that I received a letter from IRS stating that I even owe more money now which was a $1,600 penalty on top of the money I owed. Nothing was done! I even owed more money now and this company simply said that they helped me reduce my payment plan in half. But they failed to say that the years doubled as well and interest charges are also doubled! These people will scam you! Its terrible how they can rob hard working people legally. Then, they sent me a letter telling me that they can help another way by creating an abatement request for me to make up as to why I was not able to pay the IRS in full for the years I owed. Things such as depression, accident, or some type of story to trick the IRS into lowering your balance. and every time I call or speak to someone there, they are always trying to evade and not answer my questions and try their best to keep leading me on. These people have made my life frustrating and miserable. My main focus right now is to find the right lawyer and sue this company for fraudulent acts and misrepresentation and misleading clients!

In 2017 we signed up with Stop IRS Debt to help us get a reduction of our federal income tax debt and the State of Hawaii tax debt
In 2017 we signed up with Stop IRS Debt to help us get a reduction of our federal income tax debt and the State of Hawaii tax debt. Over the course of the first year we paid them in full, *** for their services. We sent every document they requested. They have a customer portal that we could log into to check status. Nothing was happening. We started calling and emailing to no avail. They put us on hold and after waiting 20-30 minutes each time they would disconnect or we would have to disconnect. We finally connected with a person named *** in early 2019. She talked loud and long and wouldn't let us speak, telling us she didn't have to put up with us. We begged to know if we even had a case manager. She wouldn't tell us. We got an email in June telling us the Compliance Manager ( no name) was in charge of our case and to call. We did. Again 20 and 30 minutes on hold and they never answered. I scheduled a call with them and just spoke to Beth *** who claims to be the Compliance Manager. She stated that they closed our account in 2019 because they claim we did not send requested documents. We sent everything they requested in the first 2 years. When I tried to reiterate the documents we sent, she said "You're a joke!" She kept saying it over and over then hung up. They're completely in breach of contract and we would like our money back. They did nothing. We still owe the IRS approximately *** and are trying to settle it ourselves. Please help us get our *** back from them. We no longer have the necessary docs because they have them. They wouldn't take copies.

I paid *** to help me come to a settlement with the IRS and they have not contacted the IRS since February. I have paid $*** for their so called "Final negotiations stage" and have gotten nowhere with these frauds.I personally call the IRS and found out that the only contact they e made has been since then and the agent I spoke with informed me I can do everything *** said that they would do and doesn't take almost a year to complete.
I was attempting to make an inquiry about receiving help with a tax problem. This company called me, responding to my email. After listening to the marketing spill, I thought every thing appeared on the up and up. However, after I asked them to send me everything in writing and once reviewing the paper work, I canceled or rescinded the offer. I immediately sent in writing the same day I gave them my debit card information to cancel any and all agreements between me and them. They stated they would cancel, but days later the $541.00 was taken from my bank account. When I could not get any answers directly from the company, I called my bank and the bank canceled my debit card so that no other recurring charges would be taken from my account from STOP IRS. Since that time, I have been trying to get my $541.00 back from them by working through my bank and contacting the company STOP IRS. Neither has worked in my favor. My bank has a 120 days policy to work with trying to collect the funds. My bank continues to reach out to STOP IRS, but they have not heard back from them. This is a fraudulent company, this is a shame that scams are allowed to continue to be up and running companies to take people's money. This is with regard to ***. All of this was completed by email.
This company is not a reliable or honest company
This company is not a reliable or honest company. After researching and using the *** as a reference (after already getting had by another company) we felt comfortable in allowing them to help us with our tax issue. We started the process in 2016, may payments on a schedule that was given to us; *** on 12/28, *** in Jan, Feb, March, April, and May . Time went by, there some communication to my husband which led us to believe that we were being taking care of. There was communication to send 3 payments of a a little over *** directly to the *** and that should be the start of the process for a reduced rate or the balance would be written off. He paid the 3 payments, and we didn't hear anything else after that, and that was the beginning of 2019. I decided to call today, after receiving a letter from from the *** stating we owe the same amount that we owed before, to find out what happened with our account. I was told by an accountant that our account was closed in April , and we have no idea why and couldn't get to anyone that had our account. It appears at this time that this company is about ripping people off when they are in vulnerable situations asking and desperately needing help. With the amount of money that was taken, and the lack of communication and help, I would appreciate some sort of refund of some of the money that was demanded and paid up front knowing that they were not going to be helping us, OR finish the job. That money could have just gone on a payment plan, but they told us not to set up a payment with the *** that they will do all the talking for us. This started in 2016, we could have had most of our bill paid down to the

I hired Stop IRS Debt spring of 2020 to help us with debt we had with the IRS. I paid them $***. I've done everything they've asked me to do, sent them any paperwork they needed. In December they told me they were going to file a penalty abatement with the IRS and told me what I needed to do & to pay the IRS the following 3 months my old payment plan amount. In order to file that I had to make those 3 payments. It is now almost September, I'm still making my original payments to the IRS and have no answers to the penalty abatement or solution to my original problem. The purpose in hiring them and paying them $*** was to get me out of my debt, and because I cannot afford to keep paying the IRS monthly. I've emailed, I've left messages, no one EVER calls me back, even when promised I will get a call back. At this point, I want my money back or an explanation of what is going on with this case so I can end this mess.
StopIRSDebt has not done what they were paid to do and that was to get IRS to stop with all the penalty fees so that I can pay off *** balance and this company charged *** to pay off *** balance which was under *** as well as *** State Taxes which was under *** I did everything this company ask me to do. I forwarded all correspondence with a link that they sent *** only for them to tell me they didn't get everything which I know they were lying. I sent them hard copies of everything they ask for via US mail because every time I spoke to someone they always said that they don't have all the paperwork. They hardly ever followed up with *** on anything. I would always have to initiate conversation. They say they will call back and don't or put you on hold so long that the phone disconnects. I was already on a payment plan of *** with IRS and the best that this company did for *** was to reduce my payment by *** WOW! This company got over *** I want *** money back. Lairs
I hired stopirs I sent emails, called numerous time with no response. Now they want more money to reopen my case although they have my money and nothing. They say now that I did not follow through. Unable to send any information through their potal. I want my money back
I hired StopIRSDebt.com in 2018 to help me get the IRS to credit my account with monies that had already been paid, and to help remove fees and penalties. StopIRSDebt.com assured me they could do this, asked me to sign a power of attorney form (which I did) and charged me $***. StopIRSDebt.com told me they had set up a payment plan, and I have been sending in monthly payments according to their instructions since the Fall of 2020. This August (2021), I received a threatening letter from the IRS, which alerted me to the fact that the IRS was not aware of this payment plan -- something I confirmed by talking to them. StopIRSDebt.com now says that they have negotiated a new payment plan on my behalf and that they will email me the paperwork but I have not received it. I have NO paperwork from StopIRSDebt.com documenting how my payments have been applied and what they have done on my behalf. I want a refund of the $*** fee and I want others to beware before losing time and money.
Did not come close to completing contract effectively
Did not come close to completing contract effectively. When we hired this company, around 6/17, we owed IRS about $***. We were going to take it from our IRA and just pay it off. This company insisted that hiring them would result in us owing the IRS substantially less, even when taking into account their $*** fee. We now owe the IRS about $*** after having paid them over $***, and the IRS retaining a refund of about $*** and paying this company $***. That's about $*** we have paid out and still owe $*** on a debt that was only $*** to begin with. The IRS themselves said that this company badly mis-managed this account, including asking for a penalty abatement too early in the process when penalties were still being assessed. Additionally, they failed to even ask for any taxes owed forgiveness. Once they got the last of their fees, I never heard from them unless I contacted them first and then it took forever. The following is an excerpt from their correspondence used to induce us to hire them: "the last stage in your case, resolution. After all is said and done, one of our team members will contact you with your case resolution" This NEVER happened, and still has not. The only thing we have learned from doing our own inquiries with the IRS is that they abated about $471 in penalties which have since been eaten up in new penalties and interest. I signed up for, and was scheduled for a "15 minute" phone call with them that no one ever bothered to attend. When I inquired after waiting for 20 minutes for the 15 minute phone call no one bothered to respond to anything. Their advertising is far from representing what they do as one can tell from the numerous Complaintsboard.com complaints.

The IRS agent called *** to notify *** that a garnishment was going to take place. This occurred when I thought STOP DEBT IRS had handled *** case. I had to contact STOP DEBT IRS to inquire of the status of *** case, since I had made a payment already for their services. The IRS was irritated and just as baffled as I was that this company was not handling *** case with the appropriate legal knowledge. The IRS agent, made the attorneys assistant and the attorney aware that a power of attorney, would not prevent an IRS garnishment. in June we were contacted by *** of stop IRS tax solutions to resolve our tax issue with the IRS. I paid a lot of money for settlement they lied to me about, there was no settlement I paid $*** to get my debt settled, then $500 for returns
I paid a lot of money for settlement they lied to me about, there was no settlement I paid $*** to get my debt settled, then $500 for returns was told to me would be included in the service. I had a notice 3 years later that the IRS had a lien on my property after they supposedly negotiated putting me in Non Collectible status which wasn't what we agreed on in the first place. When I spoke to another company for assistance, I had been informed there had been no negotiation or communication with the IRS on my behalf at all. They outright lied to me on several occasions about several topics. They billed me each month for 2 years until I paid them $***, constantly requested forms they already had 5 times before, charged me $500 for each tax return that they told me would be included in the price I was paying them already, that they would be my attorneys and represent me with the IRS, would correct the erroneous returns/amounts owed and omissions in those returns from past years, would settle for about $*** when I owed them $*** because they were erroneous amounts I was being liable for, I wouldn't have any liens or garnishments, etc. then when the lien was filed I was told that they would only collect if I sold the property that they would do nothing due to settling it in "Non-Collectible" status. I informed him this is not what was agreed upon at the intake and I wanted to not owe them anything because in reality I didn't owe that amount. The gentleman informed me this was the only option they could settle on and that lots of people settled that way and it would just be put on a shelf until they found some way to collect. I then speak to another company that inform me they had in fact not had any contact with the IRS on my behalf and they had never heard from them at all about my case. I would love to get my money back from them for a service never completed since I paid so much.

I had hired StopIRSDebt.com on my behalf to resolve a tax problem. Every month since August they have been taking payments from my bank account without providing any resolutions to my problem. When emailing multiple times from both myself and my accountant and providing all documentation that was requested of me, still my issues weren't fixed. No updates were ever given to me regarding my case. I cancelled my card they were withdrawing money on and today I received an email regarding the payment not going thru. My accountant called and was spoken to harshly and was told that the bill needs to be paid and everything I was saying was untrue. When asked to provide me with status updates I was told to pay up and then *** the senior tax advisor hung up on me. The multiple amount of complaints I have found on Complaintsboard.com on this company are highly disturbing.
On April 1, I hired StopIRSDebt.com (acct #***) to resolve my debt with the IRS. They were paid the full retainer (confirmation #***). They forwarded my signed authorization IRS Form 2848 to the IRS, demonstrating their representation to the IRS. After over a year, I have received NO documentation indicating that StopIRSDebt.com has performed ANY services on my behalf, other than the IRS Form 2848 filing. StopIRSDebt.com has never notified me nor communicate to me the instance of a tax lien in Aug 2020, during their representation. StopIRSDebt.com has done NOTHING to defend me against IRS, to date. Communication from StopIRSDebt.com has been and remains deplorable; no written communication to me regarding updates and progress on my file, despite my numerous requests for the same. My constant calls and emails, over the last two weeks have gone from being ignored to now refused. On the last call (July 9th) the agent hung up on me; so I filed a State AG complaint.
I reached out to a Customer Advocate from StopIRSdedt.com, name *** Per my research for assistance with owing debt to IRS(back taxes owes). I informed Jim I had contacted the IRS concerning my owed back taxes for 2016, 2017 and currently working on taxes filing for 2018. All stated years' taxes filing is in a collection status with IRS. I was informed by IRS Collections Representative. A garnishment can be taken against my SSDI income. I discuss this concern with *** as well as inquiring about the services offered to stop IRS garnishment. On April 8. I was informed by *** in allowing the services of StopIRSdebt.com. A case manager and POA will be assigned to my case. Therefore, contact will be made to IRS for the request on my IRS debt to be put on "Collection Hold", along with the reduction of the amount owed to the IRS. I called the IRS to verified if "Collection Hold" was filed. I was informed no "Collection Hold" in place. I was taken advantage of.
I hired stop IRS In 2021 they told me that I would not be getting any Garnishment And to stop paying on my IRS bill I just got a new garnishment in the mail today called the IRS they have heard nothing from this company. All I want is my 370.00 dollars back and for them to leave me alone.
I'm sorry I don't have the exact date we started our process with this company
I'm sorry I don't have the exact date we started our process with this company. It was my understanding that they were going to negotiate with IRS to reduce my debt. After several months and several phone calls I was told I needed to write letters explaining why these years were not paid and they could most likely be able to reduce my debt. I sent then the requested $*** fee and sat down and wrote the letters. After months of hearing nothing I called and was told it could take a year or so as IRS was backed up which I understand. The best call I was told that they had reduced my monthly payment from , I believe was $187 a month to $85 a month. I did not want this done as it only increased penalty and interest I would be accruing. They said we should have more of a settlement hopefully soon. I called after a few months and a gentleman told me they had rejected the request and I should write better letters because at this point it was closed case. I continued for months to get letters from IRS saying they were sorry for delay in my request but they were short staffed because of covid and things were more backed up. I had however been told by the people who were supposedly negotiating for me that it was closed. So a I called several times to see what was going on. Most of the operators were nice and polite but told me basically to be patient. THe last operator I talked to told me in no uncertain terms that she saw I was calling them too much, my cased was closed, so to stop calling them. I worked with the public so I am aware of a brush off. So I ended up with lower payments that I didn't want ans a clear dismissal of there interest in my issue. So I am out $*** that I could have just paid to IRS to reduce my debt and have a lower payment agreement with IRS that I didn't want since that is costing me money. I am retired and $*** is a big expense for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was quoted a price then increased fees of ****+ dollars
I was quoted a price then increased fees of ***+ dollars. I have tried to cancel/obtain refund and cannot. Cannot contact anyone. No call backs. I initiated contract with the company in Oct/November and informed them of the tax liability that I believed we had - this was after deductions and credits. They informed me that I owed much more than that and that my fee for services was now almost double. We signed a new contract. My husband has since been in contact with the IRS and the company has contacted the IRS ONCE. They have charged me several thousand dollars for one phone call to the IRS. They have prepared the tax returns with no input from myself or my husband despite multiple attempts to contact the company to arrange to review the tax returns. This is something that I have requested in writing/email and via phone/voicemail. I have arranged phone calls and stated the purpose and then not had the person on the phone that was needed for the call. I work several jobs and have to schedule the calls around that schedule. Since that time I was in contact with someone named *** and she tried to give me reassurance and apologize - however my experience has been one of poor service, limited contact once the contract is signed and no explanation of the procedures. I would like a refund of our money and a cancellation of our contract. I have emailed these same concerns to the company and have not received a response. Here is a copy of the email sent *** Apr 8, 2021, 7:28 AM (5 days ago) to support I need to cancel my contract and I need a refund of my last payment. Thanks this is *** This is due to 1. Only contacting the IRS once - we called and checked 2. IRS states we can do all this on our own 3. NO contact after numerous attempts to try to review our taxes and deductions 4. Not informing us promptly when items were needed initially. Please refund promptly and cancel the contract for tax services and the stop irs debt. We will be contacting the complaintsboard.com as well. Thank you

Falsely representing their company as money is being taken out of my bank account and is being used to solve an IRS debt
Falsely representing their company as money is being taken out of my bank account and is being used to solve an IRS debt. I called the Stop IRS debt company after seeing a commercial on the television in Missouri. They told me their fee was *** for the help I was seeking. They took *** from my debit card on January 13, *** on February 12, *** on March 12. On April 10 I saw a debit for *** and called my bank because I did not recognize the debit. My bank gave me the phone number associated with the withdrawal as well as the phone numbers associated with the previous withdrawals mentioned above. I called the number my bank gave me on March 10 to find out who the company was that was taking money from my account. Much to my dismay, it was the personal phone number for a guy in California whose company is called "tax client services" not stop IRS debt. I spent a good deal of time on the phone with the person I called and he stated that he gets calls all of the time that are from people wanting to get in touch with stop IRS debt. He said up until I called they had always used his work number, however, now he said they out his personal phone number on the withdrawal. I have received one email from the stop IRS debt, I'm guessing because it was not on an official letterhead and have received nothing in the mail from them about my case. They have done nothing to my knowledge to resolve my tax issue that I have, at least that I have been informed of. They have misrepresented their company, services and have failed to communicate with me about anything unless I have called and they do not always answer as I have 5 different phone numbers that they have given me to call or I have received from my bank to call as the company taking money out of my account. I called the stop IRS debt company On another number after calling the mans personal number to find out what was up. They could not explain to me what was going on, nor why they have 5different telephone numbers to call. I want my money back and I want them to stop misrepresenting themselves as if they are another company altogether.

After paying into this service for 1 year, the company did not reach agreement w/IRS & refuses to fully refund after contract cancelled
After paying into this service for 1 year, the company did not reach agreement w/IRS & refuses to fully refund after contract cancelled. Contract for their services was signed under duress and during a period of compromised faculties due to a stroke-very high pressure sales tactics were used on an unwell elderly woman. I could not fully read contract on the small phone screen and they demanded a signature immediately even after I told them I couldn't print it out due to no printer. Was told they would negotiate a settlement and resolve my *** tax issue with the IRS for which I would need to make monthly payments to them to go to the IRS. After paying them for a year totaling approximately $***, I find out that they never reached a settlement or negotiated a settlement on *** with the IRS after contacting the IRS myself. Then I also found out that I still had to make 3 more payments of $177 each to them which would be for them to "start" working on my file. That would have been over $*** to them before they even initiated any work, plus that does not touch or begin to pay the debt to the IRS which is what I was lead to believe these payments were going towards. Since they never started it, I demanded to cancel the contract. After >50 hours of work by myself and my ***, I was able to get the contract for their services canceled but they refuse to refund the full amount I had paid into them for these services which they never performed. After talking with many different people at the company at different times over 2 months, the story changes on what work they've done or how much time they've spent. Most of the documented time they have spent on my "file" was on the phone with me or my *** trying to get them to cancel the contract. In an offer of settlement, they are trying to tell me the best they can do is to offer a refund of $167. A $167 refund on $*** worth of payments to a nearly bankrupt, very ill, elderly woman on Social Security where I have to pick and chose which medications I DON't refill during a month because I cannot afford them is ludicrous, predatory, and downright preposterous, regardless of their "policies". The right thing to do would be a full refund.

Deceptive selling practices with a debt relief agency
Deceptive selling practices led me to sign up with a debt relief agency, where I agreed to pay a certain amount spread over 8 months. Hidden fees were not disclosed to me at the outset. Initially, I estimated my debt incorrectly. The representative enrolled me in a plan for a lower debt level without clarifying the implications of underestimating my debt. When I realized my debt was higher, the cost increased significantly. Updates on my case were scarce, despite promises of a comprehensive portal. Halfway through, I learned my debt was higher than the initial estimate, resulting in additional charges. The agency implied I was dishonest about my debt, although I provided accurate information. Questions about the nature of the program and my obligations remain unanswered, with the agency insisting on payment before providing information. I'm uncertain about the specifics of the program I'm in, whether it includes my latest debt, or how it affects my credit. The contract prohibits direct contact with the IRS, leaving me with unresolved concerns and a feeling of being trapped.

Paid in full upfront but stopIRSdebt failed to deliver as per contract. Reached out after TV ad.
Failed to deliver as per contract after paying in full upfront. Contacted stopIRSdebt by phone after seeing an ad on TV. The IRS claimed a deficiency which was incorrect. Tried resolving with IRS but got nowhere. We had installment agreements in place for both the IRS and State, which we had been paying since 2017. The Sr. Tax Advisor at stopIRSdebt claimed we needed a certain amount and they would begin immediately setting up a stop payment, power of attorney, and negotiate with both agencies to either reduce amounts owed or get entirely paid. We trusted them and paid the amount requested. An online account was set up so that we could monitor the actions taken and communicate online. However, we never saw any progress other than being informed that they had set up an installment agreement with both entities, which turned out to be more than our original agreement amounts. I kept telling them this was not what we sought their services for. The agreement stated they would obtain maximum protection against further collections and liens. Despite daily contact attempts, we were either unable to reach anyone or given empty promises of follow-up. After two more weeks, I finally reached someone who claimed they negotiated a new agreement. When I tried to access my online account, I found it disabled. Upon inquiry, they demanded more money to view the account, claiming the negotiations were settled and the account was closed as completed. I requested a refund since they had only increased my debt, but they refused. They also failed to provide the contractually promised protection – I received a certified letter from the tax bureau placing a lien on my property, damaging my credit and risking my possessions. I am considering filing fraud charges with the FTC and contacting media outlets where they advertise. After receiving the letter, I contacted the tax agencies and found out stopIRSdebt never contacted them about negotiations. It's disgraceful for such businesses to operate and harm people in desperate situations.

Company claims to assist in back taxes by reducing the debt; however, all they're doing is charging the client a monthly fee for a year with no result Stop IRS DEBT was contacted in order to reduce my *** dollar debt to the IRS in 2019.. Once I set up a contract in 2019, they deducted over 200 dollars from my banking account each month. They essentially serve as your Power of Attorney where the IRS may contact you during this contracted time. The company makes contact with their clients periodically during this contracted time, but the information they provide is very minimal and not conclusive. So what is more devastating is that approximately two weeks ago, I received notice from the IRS that my balance is now ***. Please recall that when I started the contract with STOP IRS DEBT, my IRS balance was *** dollars, but now it is has increased by over a thousand dollars during a time in which IRS DEBT stipulates they will reduce your tax debt. It is conclusive that IRS DEBT is simply performing a fraudulent service where they stipulate that they will reduce your tax balance, but in actuality, all they're doing is serving as Power of Attorney during the year you are contracted and after the year has exhausted, the results are minimal to nothing or perhaps even an increase in your tax debt. The service in which they are providing is being performed under false advertisement and it appears while they serve as your Power of Attorney, they are simply making money from their clients and the only thing they are actually doing is keeping the IRS from contacting the client within that year. Subsequent to that year, it appears the client returns to a state of being alone and unprepared to deal with the IRS, especially considering the IRS DEBT company did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to assist and/or reduce the client's tax debt. It should be noted when I first contracted the company, it was stipulated that the older the tax debt, the easier it would be to dismiss your tax delinquency and that statement in itself was fraudulent and dishonest. I am not sure how other clients faired with this company, but I have no doubt if you were to investigate this company and discover how many clients actually received a lower tax balance, I would assert there would be a very low number of clients whose tax debt was actually decreased. This company should be investigated for Fraud and False Advertisement and if you are successful in proving my accusations, I would like to recoup every dollar I paid this company to reduce my taxes.

Business is a fraud
Business is a fraud. They take your money without satisfying you request. In July I was contacted through a marketing call to help resolve irs debt. I spoke with a gentleman about my irs debt and was quickly sold on what was offered and was satisfied that I would be taken care of unaware of what was to come. I provided all the necessary documentation needed an stayed in contact up until my online account was disabled. I tried reaching out via email and phone calls. I did finally speak to someone on January 30 I expressed my concerns that I was unable to access the online portal and explained that I was going to suspend future transactions until this was resolved. I was assured that I would receive a call from accounting in reference to this issue. It wasn't until February 20 that I received a call because my payment was declined. I call back and spoke to accounting about why my payment was declined. It stated exactly what was said that payment would be suspended until I was allowed access to the portal. I was then transferred to another employee where I stated the same thing that was stated on my account. I was only then told that once a resolution was reached that my account would be active. I was never told this when being sold this service. He then proceeded to tell me that I could have access to my account if I paid a storage fee? I have been paying *** per month towards my account just to be denied access. To me as long as I'm paying for a service I should have access to the client portal since I'm still a "client" until my account has been paid in full. I stated that I wanted a refund because I was not satisfied with the work that was supposed to be done on my behave. I have not received any form of communication from this company concerning my debt. When I stated that my payment will continue to be suspended until I have access to the portal I was told that I would be sent to a collection agency. After then phone call which ended after nearly thirty minutes of expressing my concerns and only feeling helpless to the fact that I had been taken advantage of. I contacted the IRS directly to find out if any abatement had been applied towards my account. The lady I spoke with was very helpful. She went through my account and explained to me that an abatement had been processed for *** I was shocked when I found this out. I have spent close to *** already just for *** I was assured that before the account was setup that I could receive up to what I innately paid in to STOPIRSDEBT which would be close to $1800. I have tried to call back to find out what was the issue behind this and why I was lied too. After being on hold again for another 30 plus minutes I had a lady answer the phone quickly just to be put on hold AGAIN after 10 more minutes the call was disconnected by someone who quickly picked up then hung up on. I would warn anyone who thinks about using this company to NOT. They will take your money and leave you helpless. Anyone having issues with IRS debt I urge you to find someone locally.

StopIRS Debt conducted an unauthorized charge
StopIRS Debt conducted an unauthorized charge. StopIRS Debit refuses to remit the charge. Requesting the Complaintsboard.com's assistance to be made whole again. StopIRS Debt notified me via email on 4 Mar 20 of a few options to make a *** payment toward a pre-installment IRS agreement, they've been working to resolve on my behalf for some time now. Both options are as follows (taken directly from the email correspondence received from StopIRS Debt on 4 Mar 20: 1) Please mail in the payment of *** that is due on 28th of each month till you receive a confirmation letter regarding the automatic debit. Send a payment 10 business days prior to the deadline. Write on the check your social security number, form 1040 and years 2012, 2013, 2017 & 2018. Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service Stop P-X XXXX Kansas City, MO XXXXX-XXXX 2) Or you can make your payments directly on *** My spouse chose the second option. Proof of that payment is attached, for reference. No payment arrangements were made or agreed upon, as clearly outlined in the correspondence. However, StopIRS Debt went ahead and conducted an unauthorized charge in the same amount *** from my account as well, which they had on file for the sole purpose of paying monies to them toward a hefty *** service charge. Upon calling today (17 Apr 20) to resolve the matter, a representative of StopIRS Debt told my spouse that the previous Form *** that was initially completed by me on 11 Sept 19, gave StopIRS Debt the 'authority' to do so, which was never implied as a part of the specificity/terms of the power of attorney *** that was originally agreed upon by me. If StopIRS Debt "agreed upon" withdrawing monies directly from my account (without my authorization), then the choices offered above would have been a moot issue and instead the note should've read: "We will just withdraw the *** payment from the account we already had on file!" In which case, I would have been better informed & prepared. Their email speaks to the fact that this was not an informed consent, otherwise there would be only ONE choice: directly take the *** payment from the account on file! I am therefore at a loss as to why StopIRS Debt 'gave' me options, if they had already planned to withdraw the *** payment from my account. I was NOT aware of/prepared for that and am at a disadvantage especially now during this COVID-19 pandemic, as I am unable to reach the IRS (directly) to try and get this matter resolved. And StopIRS Debt did not offer a reasonable resolve, when spoken to earlier today - 17 Apr 20, about the matter. Again, to reiterate, it was my knowledge that these pre-installment payment efforts were to be conducted in the following ways (according to StopIRS correspondence): Please mail in the payment of *** that is due on 28th of each month till you receive a confirmation letter regarding the automatic debit. Send a payment 10 business days prior to the deadline. Write on the check your social security number, form 1040 and years 2012, 2013, 2017 & 2018. Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service Stop P-X XXXX Kansas City, MO XXXXX-XXXX Or you can make your payments directly on *** We chose to pay directly via irs.gov's direct pay system. This duplicated transaction is not only unauthorized and illegal to an extent, but also very unfair. I am not able to have duplicated and unauthorized charges taken from my account as StopIRS Debt sees fit. Therefore, I need this matter to be resolved and for me to be made whole again. Yours Truthfully, CPT/Mrs. ***, U.S. Army

My contract I was canceled by the lawyer in charge of my case and I am told I still have to pay
My contract I was canceled by the lawyer in charge of my case and I am told I still have to pay. In August , I contacted StopIRSdebt and spoke to a lawyer who said they would lower what I owe with the Irs. I explained that I had a payment plan and that I owed for 2019 but because of COVID my taxes were still processing. The lawyer said that we would do 2019 separately after dealing with 2017&2018. We proceeded and I was told to cancel all payments to irs. However, a few months after a levy was placed on my account and *** was garnished. I called StopIRSdebt and told them and they had no idea it had even happened. They explained that it shouldn't of happened because they had power of attorney and they would straighten out the matter. Two weeks later after calling them consistently I was told that it was a one time levy and they wouldn't do it again. I was extremely upset because I hired them for this not to happen. After a month I received letter from the IRS telling me to set up a payment plan which was 1,056.00 and I thought this might be because of StopIRSdebt. However, I received a call from StopIRSdebt telling me that the state wanted to set a payment plan for $800.00 and they were still working with the irs to find a payment plan. I told the staff member I had a letter from the irs for a payment plan and she said to ignore it because they could get a better payment amount. A couple days later a lawyer calls me and tells me that 2019 taxes are included and I will have to pay more for them to proceed with my case. I asked him how much and he said someone would let me know because he doesn't deal with that. I was told then from my case manager that in order for them to proceed working on lowering my interest I would have to setup payment plan for state and irs and still make a payment to them. At this point I was a bit frustrated because I had already spent $***+ and still had nothing resolved. A week later the lawyer in charge of my case calls me back and starts telling me that the amount is going to go up because of 2019 and I told him I wouldn't mind paying it but nothing has been done since august that not even a payment plan was set up and the irs have sent me paperwork on their on behalf. He then begins to yell and tell me that he's the reason the state is setting up a payment plan of $800.00 and that the Irs payment plan is also because of him. I begin to tell him he is wrong and that he wasn't even aware of the payment plan until I notified them. At this point my husband tells me to put him on speaker phone. We argue for a minute more before he yells you know I'm canceling the contract we will no longer work this case for you. It's done the contract is canceled. I begin to say how can you cancel my case and he said that he had every right. I decided to call and set up my own payment plans with the state and irs, which were completely lower than what StopIRSdebt had said they would be. A week later *** an employee from its debt calls me and tells me they were going to charge the monthly payment but it didn't go through. I explained to her that this lawyer canceled my contract and asked if he had the right to do it. She tells my that he had every right because he is in fact in charge of my case but she will find out what happened. Today March 16,2021 she calls me and tells me that I am still bound by contract to pay the remainder of what is owed. I told her the contract was canceled by them and she responded by saying that doesn't matter because they couldn't do anything because my 2019 taxes were included which changed everything. I would like my money back but in all honesty it's not worth the headache nor the time dealing with these people. They are not professional by any means and belittle you because they feel they know more than you do. They will argue and yell and forget that they are representing a professional business. However, after being discarded and then told I have to still pay, I refuse to let anyone else go through this and I hope they can sincerely investigate these ***.

We paid STOP IRS DEBT for IRS issue resolution but they failed to deliver and ceased cooperation.
We hired STOP IRS DEBT to help resolve an issue with the IRS, but after we paid, the company failed to do the work and refused to cooperate with us. My wife and I were clear from the start that the IRS was concerned with a specific Tax return. We communicated this via phone and fax, stating the IRS had no authority to file a Substitute For Return for someone who hadn't filed a Tax Return. Despite receiving our faxed documents, the company ignored them. Initially, they promised to obtain a printout from the IRS for all relevant years and required us to provide them with Power of Attorney, which we did. We informed them that no tax returns had been filed since a certain year and that we would not file any, as we believed the IRS lacked the authority to act against individuals who don't file tax returns. I provided proof that the IRS violated the law, but STOP IRS DEBT, or 'SID,' did not challenge the IRS on our behalf, breaching our contract. When SID refused to file past tax returns for the years we specified, we requested a refund multiple times but were denied. Our Case Manager was replaced without notice, and we were barred from communicating with him. Over hundreds of pages were faxed to SID, outlining our position based on facts and law, yet they still refused to assist us. We were told that within 90 days of signing up and paying, the IRS levy would be stopped, which was untrue. After months without a response from SID and only initial contact with the Case Manager who eventually stopped communicating with us, the company demanded we file past tax returns or they would close our file. My wife, a student for over 6 years after losing her job, was not in a position to file past tax returns. Despite having all necessary documents to dispute with the IRS, including an illegal IRS action and a lien filed with the county, SID did nothing. We consider STOP IRS DEBT a scam and demand a full refund for their failure to act according to law. We have attempted to get a refund multiple times to no avail. Sincerely

so far so good , they explained everything well before I hired them and seem to be acting very quickly to help us out .
I am extremely pleased with the job StopIRSdebt did for us. I contacted them toward the end of October and by the first part of November they had settled our account with the IRS. The IRS debt was deemed "closed - currently not collectible". Neil was so kind, encouraging and ON.THE.JOB! I can't say enough about this company. Thank you, Neil and StopIRSDebt.com.
Awful company! They are like vultures, calling 30+ times a day AFTER being told to take me off the call list. I do NOT recommend using them or giving them your information.
