online/phone sales system
Okay. I get it. It's a business and an industry: people need to make money, and ticket sales organizers are no different.
But this is some serious [censor] — tickets go on sale for a small venue with limited tickets at 12pm, and are *immediately* sold out online and over the phone. Customer reps at live nation take a century to answer the phone, and when you finally get them, they blandly read out what you can see for yourself on your own frikkin computer screen.
Okay. It's possible. A band like alice in chains playing a club venue is going to be in big demand.
But some please explain to me then why at 12:15pm, there were whole groups of tickets, ranging from 2, 4 and 11 pack sets of tickets for sale on ebay and craigslist and stub-hub for five times the ticket's face value?!?!?!
There are skeevy middle men making money off the band and off the fans.
Alice in chains, and other bands who have a contract with live nation need to get their management to peg tickets at a higher price. Don't say tickets are for $26.00, because guess what: your loving fans are going to have to shell out at least a $100 anyway, paying skeevy gits. We would rather pay you.

stubhub ripoff
I purchased Atlanta Braves tickets on stubhub. A comment on the listing said "755 club passes and gold parking". However, when I downloaded the tickets, no 755 club passes or gold parking were included.
I called stubhub and spoke with several customer service personnel. Their responses were all the same - stubhub is not responsible for seller comments, and that stubhub is just the middleman.
I will NEVER use stubhub again. Next time I will buy on ebay.
Follow up to my complaint above:
stubhub called me today. Apparently, the Braves tickets were indeed 755 club tickets, but the reprinted tickets did not include the 755 club access information due to a system error. stubhub called the Braves to make sure we get 755 access at the game tonight. As well, stubhub gave me a contact name with the Braves in case we have a problem getting into the 755 club.
stubhub has been aware of this problem since last week, in which stubhub-issued Braves tickets that are supposed to have 755 access fail to include the 755 access information on the printed tickets. stubhub thought that the problem had been previously corrected.
As for the gold parking, stubhub refunded me the stubhub fees, which will offset my parking costs for this evening.
stubhub also profusely apologized for the mix-up.
I am big believer that making mistakes is okay; how one recovers from those mistakes is what really matters. stubhub recovered nicely from this mistake and did the right thing. Hence, I will continue to purchase tickets from stubhub.com.
I would have deleted this posting, but this website does not appear to allow the deletion of previously submitted complaints.

fan protection guarantee fail
StubHub will not refund my money for the CANCELLED Lady Gaga show on 4/2/09 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC.
I purchased 4 tickets totalling $655 as a birthday present for my daughter. The show was cancelled. StubHub refuses to refund my money b/c they said it has been rescheduled for 4/2/2009. This is FALSE, there are no records or information confirming this is true. The venue has not booked the show for next year.
StubHub's 'FAN PROTECTION GUARANTEE' states that consumers will receive a FULL REFUND if a show is cancelled. Because they are saying the show has been rebooked, they don't have to refund the money.

Hi southchix04,
My name is Jennifer Norberg and I'm the Senior Supervisor of StubHub Executive Customer Care. I read your complaint and would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced when the 4/2/2009 Lady Gaga concert had been rescheduled.
I understand you may be concerned with StubHub's policies surrounding rescheduled or cancelled events. If at all possible, I would like the opportunity to address these concerns directly and also find out if there is anyway for StubHub to turn your experience around.
If you are interested in discussing this, you are welcome to contact me at StubHub via email: JNorberg@StubHub.com.
canadian buyers beware
From the 'Official Site of the Toronto Blue Jays' clicked on the Stub Hub advertisement to purchase ticket for a June game that appeared to be a great deal. Purchased great seats and received confirmation e-mail for $115 that would be charged on my card. Received tickets a few days later from a Canadian seller. Received credit card statement today and the charge was $144! They charged my card in US dollars. Called customer service. All they said was Stub Hub was an American Company and all the prices are in USD. I said that my confirmation e-mail did not indicate that, when I called to confirm my purchase over the phone it did not indicate that. Since i purchased tickets for a Jays game in TORONTO, from the Jays CANADIAN website, and received my tickets from a CANADIAN seller, wouldn't one automatically assume, without question, that the tickets were in CANADIAN dollars? As I went through the purchase steps, it doesn't say anything about USD. The customer service rep said if you scroll down to the very bottom of the page, in the tiniest print, it indicates it there. Stubhub's practices are very misleading- think twice before purchasing tickets from the. oh- and the shipping/admin cost is outrageous too.

I purchased last minute tickets for a show in New York City. I got to the window where Stub Hub instructed me to pickup my tickets and they informed me that there were no tickets under my name. Their entire customer service team is a group of belligerent employees who care only about their salary, not their customers. The complete opposite of how i run my company any company i would deal with. Stub Hub is refusing to provide me a full refund, despite the buyers guarantee stating very clearly that my tickets should have been ready for pickup at the designated pickup window. I am currently preparing to file a lawsuit and have the company investigated for fraud. Any interests in testifying?
tickets to wrong address
I ordered tickets on 1/13/09 for a concert event on 4/11/09. These tickets were meant to be a surprise for my wife's birthday. I left town and when I returned the tickets had not been delivered. I thought maybe with the long weekend they were just taking a while. Well then I received an email stating that the tickets had been delivered via Fed Ex... to my OLD address! I was upset because my old address is over 500 miles from where I live now. I have called Stubhub each day since then asking them to fix it. The only response I get is that they contacted Fed Ex to try and recover, this was unsuccessful so now I am SOL! I Keep asking where can I file a complaint? Who is going to take care of this? When am I going to get refunded? Each time I am told that this is my fault and there is no remedy. I specifically changed my Billing and shipping address when I placed the order, but apparently Stubhub does not beleive that is true. The IT department is looking
into it. I WILL NEVER use this service again, I cannot beleive how unwilling they are to try and help their customers when clearly an error has occured.
Damage Resulting = $319 for the cost of the tickets and the extended time I have spent on the phone trying to work with these people.

I bought two tickets for san Antonio Spurs vs Cleveland Cavs on march 27 th 2017, and I did not received them. Fedex said that they delivered them but I did not received them, I looked for them anywhere. I asked to contact the seller to reprint.them because he is the only who could do that and he did not answer, so if you could not get the tickets for me, I want you refund my money back please.
Exact same thing happened to me. I ordered tickets to the Final Four for my girlfriend and her brother and entered his address, since he lives in Houston that would be most convenient. But, for some reason they sent them to my girlfriend's old address where she hasn't lived for over a year. There's no way to delete old addresses either so it makes mistakes like this much more likely. Had a live chat with StubHub and they said they'd need to forward me to the special events department and they'd get back to me within 48 hours. The tickets are supposed to be delivered (to the wrong address) within 36 hours. I'm not sure what to do if they get delivered. I've already wasted so much time on this due to StubHub's mistake.
Right in-line with the previous observation, I ordered tickets to a sporting event here in Minnesota where I now live for my son and I. StubHub delivered the tickets to my old house... in Utah where I have not lived for a year! This was to be my 11 year-old son's first pro football game, and now due to StubHub it is a miss!
StubHub should be sued for their actions!
no customer service
Stub Hub basically took an entire day of my vacation in Texas from me. You talk to a different person each time and then they sincerely do not care. On vacation in Texas in an attempt to take my brothers to a hockey game. I had 4 tickets lower level (expensive). Here is a time line of my recent experience with your company. I recently traveled from San...

I was in a ticket auction for Yankee Tickets. The sellers comments on the tickets were: Wow, 2nd row above Yankee Dugout, Best Seats in the House. I won the auction. When I checked on the seats, they were at the top of the stadium. It was too late. I called over 4 times and never received a call back. They protect the seller but not the buyer even though they advertise a FAN PROTECT GUARANTEE against FRAUD! I tried to get in touch with their Corp. Office but every number you call connects you with Customer Service and they state that they do not know the Corp Office number. I disputed the charge with AMEX but Stub Hub is stating I kept the tickets even though I refused them. Now, FEDEX is involved since the info Stub Hub gave is inaccurate! It is a mess and I am out over $800.00!
rip-off!
I participated in a stub hub auction however the seller was not happy with the price he was receiving on the auction he called to have the auction extended three times. I talked to three different customer service reps who said an auction cannot be extended but finally they admitted that a supervisor made this decision. I have spent hour trying to get this problem resolved. I would have never bid on these tickets if I had known they would just keep extending the deadline to get more money. They only did it to get more commissions. There moto is all sales are final but I guess they are only final if they get the price they want. That is not how an auction works. They should have put the starting bid at a higher amount if they wanted to get a certain dollar amount.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Hi, I bought tickets and under the sellers comments it said $10 food voucher. After I paid for the tickets the food voucher was not part of the deal. STUB HUB only gaurentees the tickets and not what the seller says. Yet they know you can not get food vouchers or parking passes through them and they let the sellers say they are included! The whole thing is a fraud and they let the sellers lie and do nothing about it. Needless to say I called my credit card company and told them not to pay it was a fraudulent transaction! I will never use them again and I will tell everyone I know!
Why can't we get together and sue them?
scam and cheating
I wanted to reward a friend with tickets to a Yankee game - one of the final games of the year. I decided to purchase tickets from StubHub. I realizing the tickets had been marked-up; nevertheless, this was a special event.
Not including the tickets, I spent $4k to in hotel, air and more just to travel to and from NYC.
The "expensive" tickets: over $2k.
The original owner of the tickets: A Yankee season ticket holder. Ask me for his name.
When I attempted to use the tickets, the Yankees refused me at the gate. The tickets are invalid.
I telephoned StubHub. The phone rang and rang. I telephoned back and was placed on hold for - well, I gave up. How is a fan going to resolve a serious problem at the gate, when StubHub places us on hold forever?
I complained to StubHub. I was sent the Invalid Ticket Claim Form" and was tolded by Deju, "this type of situation is rare..."
Deju: "this type of situation is rare"
9-28-08
A StubHub representative, Sue at [protected], telephoned me prior to receiving the form. She encouraged me to complete the form and return it ASAP; she too stated this type of situation (selling tickets to fans that are fake or invalid) is rare. She said that she would be back in touch with me; that if I wanted to phone her I could...but that her voice mail (at customer service) doesn't work.

I am having a problem with StubHub. I will never use them again and I will advise everyone else to avoid using them at all costs. They charge exorbitant fees over and over again. They hold customers hostage by not giving them the tickets they purchased and the only way to get their money back is to resell them on their website so they get to charge more fees. They take no responsibility for anything! It’s everyone else’s fault and responsibility. I purchased tickets and didn’t know about the ridiculous fees and then I didn’t get my tickets. Meanwhile they charge my credit card that I am paying interest on and I don’t have any tickets! That’s highway robbery! They want to send the tickets the day of the event which is unacceptable and has proven not to happen and then you’re stuck in a location with no tickets! They say you can “resell” them like it’s so easy and yes of course they get even more fees for that so the ticket prices just go up and up. I despise them! I want my money back! I don’t have my tickets.
Sold tickets through stubhub. The buyer of my tickets resold my tickets. The buyer of my tickets claimed I sold the tickets multiple times. I m not going to get paid now. BEWARE. Stubhub protects buyer but not the seller.
since when is buying and reselling tickets at a higher cost not called SCALPING? this is [censor]ing illegal and should be stopped.
Ticketmaster is the way to go.
I've had some bad experiences with StubHub, too. That's why I mainly like Ticketliquidator or TicketsNow. Although, overall, I think Ticketliquidator has lower prices.
scam and cheating
On 9/23/08 my wife decides to surprise me with 49ers tickets. She does the best she can do, not knowing the best seating or how to purchase them, she goes to stubhub.com, suposively a scam free website to purchase tickets.
Long and short she browses the tickets and clicks purchase. Next it says 'They Buyer Requires You Contact Him Prior To Buying' So she emails him at the address provided. The guy tells her once she makes payment via western union she will receive confirmation via stubhub.com and tickets will be issued. So she does it, a few moments later she gets confirmation from stubhub, and awaits the tickets. Well they never came and stubhub has no record. My wife is out $279 and stubhub will hear nothing about it.
There response is our terms and conditions are at the bottom of each page. My response is the link is in 5pt and the buy now button is at the top of the screen so who is even looking at the bottom, when the top clearly says 'Fan Protection Guarantee!'
Its BS and I will be contacting the newspapers and radio, if we don't get results!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Well to tell you the truth...how do you feel about making a transaction that you know you have no way of tracking? I'm sure you've heard about people doing western union, plus your buying from stubhub, read the Fan Protection Guarantee, it's there for a reason, i'm sure if you had read it you would've notice that it says stub hub doesn't let buyer and seller communicate.

I posted four concert tickets I wanted to sell on their website. Stub Hub contacted me and told me there was a buyer who wanted to buy my tickets. They told me to send the tickets to them(Stub Hub) and they would send me the 200.00 dollars I wanted for the tickets. I sent them the tickets. I never received the money from them. When I asked Stub Hub where i...

I bought 2 very high priced tickets to see Coldplay at Verizon for 8/3 ($1900). These tickets were confirmed 3 months prior to the show. They were reconfirmed 3 days before the show. Then 2 days before the show, I was informed that the tickets weren't available. Either they were sold to someone else or the seller wasn't legitimate. Stubhub had no inventory to sell me comparable tickets so I was out of luck. I had paid airfare, rental car and hotel fees to see this concert, so a rebate isn't really helpful, really need the seats! Some graduation present for my daughter! The lack of professionalism by STUBHUB is not to be believed. I sense serious fraud here...
I purchased tickets for the Sweet 16 two weeks prior to the event. After going through everything, Stubhub said that my card had not been charged yet and that it was awaiting confirmation. I gave them several days to confirm the purchase, but no contact was made by Stubhub to let me know that it never went through. I had to call them to see why I didn't receive a confirmation and they were unable to tell me why it didn't go through. In the 5 days I was waiting for any word from Stubhub, comparable tickets went up 3 times the price at which I paid for. I've since learned that I'm one of many people to have been screwed over by this. Stubhub will post tickets and allow the sellers to pull tickets after they've already been purchased by people like me so they can sell them at a higher price. It seems to me like the tickets are not for sale, but up for auction. I've used Stubhub once before and I had a fine experience, but after this mess and hearing about all of the other complaints I will never use Stubhub again and will tell everyone I know to avoid Stubhub at all costs.

scam
Ordered tickets that said aisle.
Were not aisle and stub hub said they could not do anything about it. They said that it is the seller who lied but stub hub would not give me name to sue in small claims. It is a fraud what they are doing and take no responsibility for it.
Stub hub is knowingly selling tickets with false information In fact since the SF Giants gave their business to Stub Hub I will never attend a Giants game again. The Giants are to blame just as much, Can anyone say ignorance I mean steroids
Buyer Beware do not buy from stub hub.

I ordered 4 Dallas Cowboys/Atlanta Falcons tickets through StubHub. During checkout, before I confirmed the order, the order screen explained the order would be confirmed by the seller within 48 hours, and that I would be emailed a confirmation and FedEx tracking number (they are charging me for 2 day fedex). I received the confirmation email, but no fedex tracking number. The confirmation email stated the seller does not have the tickets yet, and the estimated shipping date is October 21. That is 3 months from now, and only 4 days before the game. So I will not know if there is a problem until 4 days before the game. StubHub is misleading the customers by indicating the will have a fedex traking number within 48 hours, or the order can be cancelled. I called them and they said 'don't worry'. Well I am worried. Their 'guarantee' only makes them liable for a refund. I have friends flying in from out of town for the game so if StubHub doesn't come through we are out the airfare etc. What a scam!
I made the mistake of buying a concert ticket from StubHub.com, before learning that competitors were selling tickets for much lower prices. So I put my ticket up for auction on the StubHub website for a price considerably less than I paid for it (and less than even some other competing websites' prices) but haven't gotten any bids yet. I'm not completely sure, but I think they are selling tickets for prices above face-value. Don't get ripped off...
My first experience with StubHub will most definitely be my last.
Two days ago, I purchased Winter Classic Tickets. Or so I thought.
Apparently, when I clicked on "purchase", I thought that meant that I "purchased" them. But that's not the case. Because what that really means is that I have the "chance to purchase" them. The seller then gets to decide whether they actually will sell them to me.
In other words, I spent the last 48 hours feeling hopeless and rejected (watching deals fly by me), waiting for the seller to confirm the deal. No confirmation. Why would StubHub put its customers through such misery?
An hour ago, I logged onto eBay and found a similar pair of tickets from a seller of 100% rating. I emailed him about shipping them to me on time. He wrote back to me within 1 minute, saying "no problem, you'll get them overnighted". Now that's customer service. That's how business is done.
I'm a guy who will pay high prices for peace of mind. But that's just not possible with StubHub. Never again.
Bought tickets on StubHub, five days later they notified me the sale was cancelled by the seller, seller relisted them for more money. They are still holding my money. Fraud, encouraged by StubHub. Wouldn't it be great if you could hold a buyer to a price, and try to sell it for more, all at the cost to the buyer try Stub Hub. Now too late to get tickets from vendor.
Hi. I am following up on behalf of the Executive Customer Care Department at StubHub. I read your comment and can certainly understand your frustration with this StubHub experience. Regardless of the scenario our goal is to provide the best customer service possible while maintaining a safe, user-friendly and reliable secondary ticket marketplace. I would like to apologize on behalf of StubHub if you have not received the customer service you deserve and would also ask for the opportunity to provide it. While StubHub is a secondary ticket marketplace we do not own any of the tickets on our website. Rather we rely soley on our third party sellers to provide the ticket inventory that’s available on our website for all fans like yourself to purchase. Even though the tickets never belong to us, we stand behind every single transaction with our Fan Protect Guarantee. One of the fundamental aspects of that guarantee is that we do in fact guarantee the validity of your tickets. If for any reason your tickets are found to be invalid at the event, we guarantee to either find you comparable replacements or provide a full refund for the tickets that didn’t work.
Unfortunately, without knowing the specific transaction or user account involved in this situation, I am unable to provide a more detailed response at this time. I would like the opportunity to review your transaction to better understand what transpired and see if there is anything we can do to try and provide a more satisfying resolution. If you are interested in discussing this directly, please send an email to jcorey@stubhub.com. Please include the transaction number or email address that your StubHub account is registered with. I look forward to speaking with you! Jonathan Corey, Executive Customer Care Specialist
You were right to be worried, I hope everything worked out. I recently spent 1600.00 for six tickets to the Pittsburg/Miami game. We live in Tampa so had to travel to Miami for the event. We spent 600.00 on hotels, 200.00 for gas roundtrip, not to mention 500.00 in restraunt meals for the the two travel days...Only to have four of the six tickets be invalid at the gate. Stubhub only refunds the price of the invalid tickets. Their response was that we should have used the two tickets that were good. I guess they felt that my husband and I and my 70 year old parents would be fine spending 4 hours in the parking lot (temp that day, 60) while we waited for the two lucky ones to watch the game. They did however, apologize for the inconvience and frustration I experienced. I feel soooo much better.
Hello,
My name is Jackie Tincher, Manager of Executive Customer Care at Stubhub. I am sorry to hear that your first experience with our service did not meet your delivery expectations. You are correct, we do have the sellers confirm the orders to commit them financially to the fufillment. It certainly isn't meant to cause any inconvenience. Most sellers confirm the order within hours of the order being placed causing no delay in the fufillment or shipment. I can however appreciate this from your perspective - you hit the order button, you want your tickets. 99% of the time that is exactly what happens.
While I'm sorry our service didn't work out for you, I am glad you were able to find the tickets you wanted and hope you enjoy the event. Should you have any questions or would like to discuss this directly or further, please don't hesitate to contact me directly via our email address yourfeedbackmatters@stubhub.com attn Jackie. I'll be happy to assist you if I can.
Happy Holidays and enjoy the Winter Classic.
We are reaching out from StubHub Executive Customer Care. I read your review and appreciate the opportunity to clarify some information about StubHub. We are an online marketplace website where fans are able to purchase tickets from individual sellers. We are not a box office. Therefore, sellers are able to set their own prices for tickets listed on our site. Buyer market demand influences how sellers choose to price their tickets and also drive competition among those same sellers. We have several pricing formats (including auction) that can be used and sellers are allowed to edit their prices as long as a ticket has not been bid on or sold.
You are welcome to contact us via email at StubHub at: JNorberg@StubHub.com and jtincher@stubhub.com We appreciate your feedback and certainly look forward to hearing from you.
Your an idiot. SF Giants didnt "give " their business to StubHub. Someone who had tickets were selling they're tickets online for a profit (cyber scalping), which IS legal. You should try reading before you buy.
stubhub rip off
Found tickets on StubHub, seller noted difference in seating at venue from what was shown on ticket. Used StubHub website to verify seating chart. At concert found out that tickets were wrong and seating chart was wrong. Appealed to StubHub for partial refund because the listing on their website was inaccurate - they refused to honour their mistakes and even said that there was no record of my complaint which I made the business day after the concert. StubHub does not truly protect its buyers so beware.

This is Fraud website!
I purchased my tickets for the Criss angel show in Vegas july 2nd. and i never received them and when I called to get my transaction cancelled they refused. They said all tickets are final sale even though it was not mentioned anywhere on the website or at checking out.
Ruined my trip and my day.
I listed tickets for sale. tickets sold, to some boggus user. stubhub charged me full amount for ticket replacement. I did not get any money associated with the transactions.
in other words... stubhub collects ticket money and fees from customer, and also charges ticket money and fees to me. essentially double dipping
Purchased tickets not arrived at agreed date, website link indicates tickets are still available.
Purchase was via net webpage order number [protected]
Purchase date was via stubhub website on 22/02/2023
Tickets supposed to arrive 01/03/2023
Stubhub claims they sent email for sold tickets. I didn’t get email and tickets were no longer available. They charged me $288 for not delivering.
I’m going to cancel my account and go to a reputable company to sell tickets and one that won’t steal my money.
I need to speak with whoever is in charge. Not customer service. I am going to the CEO, the BBB and to a lawyer over something so small. I will not rest until I speak with whoever I need to. My name is Nick Hill. My email is nhill923@gmail.com
tickets theft, seller sold fake tickets
I am really upset in finding out I have payed over double the price for worse tickets than I am seeing sell for on ticket master.ca. My total cost in CAD for my tickets came up to $307.00 on stubhub and the total for the same section or better on ticketmaster.ca is CAD $120.25 all fees included in both prices.
can we figure out a resolution please

Stay Away from Nation Tickets ! They will not let Fed-X leave your tickets even with a signed Door Tag. I made 4 calls to their BS Customer Service line only to be told every 15 seconds that "We appreciate your call, thank you for your patience. You are next in line. This went on for over an hour and 45 minutes. Horse Manure! One would think that given the fees they charge (as much as $55.00 per ticket) that they would actually hire somebody to answer the phone. They could care less about you after you pony up their $$$.

Hello bradleyp,
We are reaching out to you from Executive Customer Care (ECC) here at StubHub. We read your review and would really like to talk with you. We would sincerely appreciate your response as we recognize that you may have a misunderstanding of who we are, and how we work. We’d like to understand what we could have done differently to better met your expectations. Your time and feedback is certainly valued.
We are fans just like you and we started StubHub to provide a marketplace for all fans to buy and sell tickets. We genuinely want our customers to have a great experience when using our site and services but we recognize we’re not perfect. We can’t get better without your feedback and help. If you’d like to discuss your StubHub experience, you are welcome to email us at jnorberg@stubhub.com and jtincher@stubhub.com.
Thank you!
did you know stub hub is a subdivision of ticketmaster..?
ticketmaster is affiliated with them..
and ticketmaster will also hold seats.. and then relewase them at a later date for double or triple the price..
because the show is "sold" out..
they set up stub hub and let you resale the tickets, but ticketmaster gets a percentage of those sales...
