Came down to resort 2 weeks after maintenance opened, to the wafting smell of gas coming out of the camper when we walked in. Propane tank was drained and freezer door was left open with a full thick sheet of ice build up. Contacted sun who sent them by to evaluate only for them to say they ‘may’ have left door open but not reason for gas leak then they left. No help. I had to call 2 places to see if someone could help detect gas leak. Independent contractor was set to come out following day. Long story short, ice sheet damaged valve behind our fridge/freezer unit causing gas leak. He was able to scrap replace the valve while new fridge was on back order. Our toilet was leaking and since he was already doing repairs he took a look. Only to tell us that bcs it wasn’t winterized appropriately, it freeze blasted the pipe and we needed to replace that as well. This is now $2300 in repairs for their incompetence. I’ve been emailing all summer, spoke with management once only to receive and email that said corporate would not cover damages since their crew didn’t evaluate first. UNACCEPTABLE. They DID evaluate and did nothing. I’ve since responded to set the record straight and have not received a response in return. Looks like they’ll have to respond to small claims court. Suggestions?
