The newpaper still claims we owe a $86.04 invoice for delivery, but we paid that via a credit card on or before Oct
The newpaper still claims we owe a $86.04 invoice for delivery, but we paid that via a credit card on or before Oct. 14. We paid the Sun Sentinel $86.04 on or before Oct. 14, shortly after we renewed delivery of the newspaper to our house in early October, by charging that amount to our credit card. The credit card company transmitted the $86.04 to the newspaper on 10/14 and, as the credit card company told us today, that amount was posted to the newspaper's books as a customer payment. Shortly thereafter, we began receiving invoices from the newspaper in our mail, which claimed we still owe $86.04. Soon afterwards, we had a lengthy phone conversation with someone in their customer service department, who asked that to prove we paid $86.04 for the newspaper by credit card, we should send their billing department a copy of our credit card statement showing the $86.04 charge to our card for the newspaper, which we did. However, as of today no action has been taken by the newspaper to clear the $86.04. Moreover, beginning Dec. 24, we have not received five issues of the paper -- on Dec. 24, 25, 26, 27 and today, the 30th. Recently, we've called Customer Service several more times and have emailed them twice... they keep promising to expedite the matter, but so far, they have not contacted us to let us know the issue has been resolved, nor have we received credit for the five editions of the paper that were not delivered to our home. Their recorded message to us regarding our account is that we still have a balance due of $86.04. Earlier today, we initiated a formal dispute with the credit card company. We are dismayed that: (1). the newspaper still claims we have an overdue balance of $86.04; (2). despite promises that they would expedite the process to set things straight, beginning with the first time we called them - which took place at least three weeks ago - they seem to have done nothing to clear up the matter.

I am POA for my 89yo mother Faith R who receives the Sun Sentinel newspaper in ***, Florida. I live in ***. From 1/24 until 1/24/2022 my mother had funds debited from her bank account via autopay, yet did not receive a newspaper for the entire year. I only became aware of this when I happened to ask if she was still enjoying her newspaper.I have contacted the Sun Sentinel 9 times since 1/24/2022 and have been told each time that the *** would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. The newspaper did resume delivery the day after my first call showing that an action was taken to correct the delivery issue. My mother was billed:$159.91 on 12/11 (44 days prior to delivery failure, 41 days after delivery failure, approx $80 in non-delivered papers),$172.31 on 3/5,$176.08 on 5/25,$176.10 on 8/12,$176.10 on 11/2,For a total of $780.55 paid for newspapers never delivered. Her account was next charged $221.19 on 1/25/2022 prompting me to ask her if she was still enjoying her paper and thus making me aware that she was not receiving the papers she was paying for through her autopay.I have requested a refund check to be sent to Faith R c/o ***, *** several times. I have confirmed that they have the correct address to mail the check.I finally had to cancel delivery of the paper and the autopay debit on 4/29/2022 to prevent the next billing cycle due on 4/30/2022.On 5/4/2022 I informed the Sun Sentinel that I would be filing a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com if I did not receive a check...after my 9th call. I have waited another month before filing this complaint.Thank you for your assistance.-***, *** POA for *** address: ***, Florida *** Sun Sentinel Account #

The Sun-Sentinel has been charging me for multiple ( as many as 19) subscriptions for nearly two years on two credit cards
The Sun-Sentinel has been charging me for multiple ( as many as 19) subscriptions for nearly two years on two credit cards. My name is Willard ***. I am writing on behalf of my mother. I've been on the phone several times with customer service with no effect. I have emailed multiple times with no satisfactory result. My mother is 87 years old, lives on a small income, and has been a Sun-Sentinel subscriber for many years. She recently asked me to take over her finances due to her advanced age. I discovered that the Sun-Sentinel has been charging her for multiple online and paper subscriptions since approximately January . Sometimes she has been charged several times on the same day or within a few days of each other, over and over again. When I first spoke with the customer service representative Gabriel on 8/17 (after enduring their infernal automated phone tree), he verified that she had 19 (that's nineteen) Sun-Sentinel subscriptions. He immediately refunded those from the last month, leaving her with one account, #XXXXXXXXXX, which should be a paper subscription for Wed, Sat, and Sun. He was not able to do more, so I asked to be transferred to a higher-up. I was but got cut off. On 8/19, I called again, went through the phone tree again, and was finally connected to someone named Sally. After some resistance, she said she would investigate and get back to me within 24-48 hours. It is over a week later and I have not heard anything. Sally initially suggested I call back but I was not willing to go through my whole story again to try to reach someone who can rectify this situation, which I calculate involves several thousand dollars of "erroneous" subscriptions charged to both my mother's American Express (96 charges) and Visa (100s) cards. I gave Sally my email address (***@gmail.com) and she gave me a case number: #1155ZXXXXXX. I have not heard anything about an investigation and my email followups with customer service have received only vague responses, none of which even acknowledged that there might be an issue. My mother clearly has been unjustified in trusting the Sun-Sentinel. I believe the paper should have recognized that she had multiple subscriptions (she definitely was not getting multiple papers or online accounts) and owes her refunds on all the subscriptions over one each month back to January (she's had paper and online until this past week when she canceled online). I would appreciate hearing from you about how this issue will be handled and to hear from the paper's customer service department about when my mother's money will be refunded.

I would like to keep by subscription and would like to receive a paper regularly as advertised.

I began a subscription on 4/11/2022 and paid $95.29 for 3 months. I have called at least every other day with no results. They continue to appease and give me a run around and it's been quite frustrating. I have yet to receive one paper delivery. The paper is the SunSentinel. There telephone number is [protected]. They are located at 200 E. Las Olas Blvd. Ste 1000, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl 33301.
I am in my late 80"s and do not read online. Which they keep telling me to do but that is not what I am paying for. Can you please help me with this unresolved issue. My daughter is helping me with this and her number is [protected].
Thank you so much for all your help

undesired paper delivery
Sun Sentinel exposes me to would be burglars
Sun Sentinel drops a free press paper on my drive every Saturday morning. I am not in the least interested in this paper and never requested its delivery, As I travel often for weeks on end these papers tend to accumulate on my drive giving an sure indication to would be burglars that there is no one home. I have called Sun Sentinel offices many time asking for this undesirable practice to stop. I was assured each time that Sun Sentinel will do the necessary to satisfy me but in the end my requests get purely and simply ignored. I wrote to the Managing Editor for lack of attention from Customer Services which I called many times and apart from a short interruption this practice which exposes me to potential burglary continues unabated. I am asking Sun Sentinel to stop delivering "Deals Delivered" which I never requested on my drive once and for all.
I am supposed to get a daily delivery of 1 Sun Sentinel and 1 Wall Street Jourrnal. Instead I am getting 2 Sun Sentinels and 0 Wall Street Journals. Please correct this. Thank you very much.
