when I called them. But then I found Support.hp (support.hp.com) and it was a game changer. They have a lot of helpful articles and videos that helped me troubleshoot my laptop issues. I was able to fix my laptop on my own without having to wait for customer support. The website is easy to navigate and the information is presented in a clear and concise manner. I also appreciate that they have a community forum where users can ask questions and get help from other users. Overall, I highly recommend Support.hp for anyone who needs help with their HP products. It's a great resource that saved me a lot of time and frustration.
Poor Customer Support and Product Quality: My Experience with HP
I had a problem with my Hp laptop and I went to support.hp.com for help. The virtual agent was not helpful at all. It kept giving me the same answers over and over again. I tried to find a phone number or an email address to contact someone, but there was none. I was very frustrated and disappointed.
I have two Hp products, a laptop and a printer. I regret buying them. The laptop is slow and the printer always jams. I have had to spend a lot of money on ink cartridges and paper. I wish I had bought a different brand.
I do not recommend Hp products. The lack of customer support is unacceptable. If you have a problem, you are on your own. I will never buy Hp products again.
Terrible Service: Charged $60 for No Help with Hard Drive and Photo Support
This service is the worst I have ever used! They charged me $60 just to tell me to look up the information myself because they didn't know how to do it. I wasted three hours of my time waiting for them to help me, but they were no help at all. I wouldn't recommend them for hard drive or photo support. It's better to do it yourself and spend the $60 on Recoverit instead. I was able to save my 8,500 photos without their help!
HP Laptop Review: Poor Customer Service and Delayed Repairs
I purchased a laptop from HP on August 2nd, 2018. Unfortunately, I was unable to use it for two weeks as I had moved away for school. When I finally started using it, I encountered problems with the speakers and the laptop freezing. I contacted customer support and after a long conversation and several attempts to fix the issue, the HP customer tech suggested that I send in my laptop for repair. Unfortunately, I had already passed the 15-day return period, so I was unable to return it.
I made it clear to the customer tech that I could not be without my laptop for more than a week due to school commitments. He assured me that this would not be an issue. This was on September 17th. However, it has now been a week without my laptop, and I was supposed to receive it back on September 26th. I then received a text message stating that the HP product was delayed until October 2nd and to call a certain number if this was an issue. I called the number, and the customer service tech assured me that this was incorrect and that I would receive my laptop back on September 26th.
However, on September 24th, I received another text message stating that my laptop was delayed until October 5th and to call if this was an issue. I called the number, but the customer tech said that there was nothing she could do as I could not talk to a supervisor because they were "closing soon" with only 20 minutes until closing. She suggested that I call back tomorrow. I was disappointed that they could not help me because it was only 20 minutes until closing time. I wish I could say that where I worked!
Now, I am expecting a call tomorrow to see what is going on with my laptop. I am frustrated with the delay and the lack of communication from HP. I would not recommend buying from HP. I had a Toshiba laptop previously for four years without any issues. However, I have had issues with this HP laptop from the first week of use.
Poor Customer Service Experience with HP Online Support: Language Barrier and No Resolution
I recently bought an HP Touchscreen Laptop and was excited to start using it. However, two days before my store warranty was set to expire, I discovered that one of the two 2.0 USB Ports was not working. I was disappointed but decided to contact HP Online Support to see if they could help me fix the problem.
I was connected to a technician who had remote access to my computer. Unfortunately, I found it difficult to communicate with him as his English was not fluent. Despite this, I was able to describe the problem and he attempted to locate the issue. However, after his attempts, neither of the two USB Ports were working. He informed me that it was a Bios problem and that he would have it fixed in no time.
The technician then went to HP's own software support page to get the update needed to repair the problem. However, the HP site was down for upgrading, and he wasn't able to get access to his own server. He told me that I could call back later and if HP's site is up and running, a tech will be able to help.
I then asked him in clear and concise English, "What is the name of the upgrade so I can install it myself?" I didn't want to have to go through another hour explaining the problem. However, the technician's response was not helpful. He said, "Don't worry, I will fulfill you." I was confused and asked again, but received the same response. I was frustrated and asked again, "What is the name of the update that will repair my problem?" However, the technician hung up and disconnected the remote service. I was disappointed as I wanted to request a transcript of our conversation, but never got the chance and now have no documentation of our hour and a half chat.
Service is just as important as the product you're purchasing, especially today when one out of three products purchased needs to be returned or have warranty service. Unfortunately, the language barrier made it difficult to communicate with the technician, and I was left with a laptop that had no working USB Ports.
I had spent two weeks learning Windows 10 and setting up the computer with the software and display the way I like it. Now, I have only one day until the store warranty expires, and I'm stuck with an HP Laptop with no working USB Ports. As a result, I have no option other than to reset the computer back to factory settings and hope that all my data is erased. I now will have to pack it up, drive to the store, exchange it, and spend time setting a new one up again.
If only the technician had understood my request for a backup plan to know the name of the update in case I couldn't find a technician that could locate and fix the problem. Whether you are buying a laptop or a car or insurance, if the support is not there, YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK!
