On 3-16-24 I bought two tickets through the RISATRAVEL Travel Agency (Booking Ref. 37IRIM) to travel to Vienna;
28 April, Miami-Zurich (Flight LX 067)
29 April, Zurich-Vienna (Flight LX 3554)
A few minutes after Flight LX 067 took off, we smelled a smell of smoke in the cabin that alarmed everyone inside the plane and made the captain of the plane make the right decision to return to Miami Airport. When we landed we had to collect our suitcases and go to the Swiss counter, where they got us a flight to Madrid with AIREUROPA, we then had to go to the AIREUROPA Counter where they gave us only the Bording Pass for a flight to Madrid and they told us “that they could not give us the BOARDING PASS for the continuous flight to Vienna, that when we arrived in Madrid we had to collect our suitcases and look for the IBERIA Counter to arrange another flight to Vienna”. Faced with this new inconvenience and the possibility of not arriving in Vienna in time to join an excursion through three countries that we had already paid for with the EUROPAMUNDO agency, and that began its journey in that city on April 30 early in the morning, our daughter reserved and pay IBERIA (458.40 USD) for two Madrid-Vienna tickets. When we arrived in Madrid, we had to look for our suitcases again and go to the IBERIA Counter in another terminal for which we had to board a bus, there they gave us our BOARDING PASS for a Madrid-Vienna flight (the one our daughter had paid for), arriving then to Vienna instead of 12 at 7 pm (7 hours later).
Although I consider that we should receive a formal apology and some benefit from Swiss International Air Lines for the inconvenience and delays caused by the return of flight LX 067 to the Miami airport, I hope to receive the refund of what was paid by both of us. tickets on Flight LX 3554.
On 5-13-24, I sent a Request by Refund for both tickets, and a month and half after I have not received any answer.
After that, I sent to New York Office a new claim about this, and silent by answer,
What happened with my claim? Non one going to give me at least a satisfactory answer?
