Disappointed by TackleDirect's Sloppy Customer Service Game - A Review
Orderin' two thangs from TackleDirect on June 23, 2019, ain't been a smooth sailin' experience fer me. I'm still waitin' on my goods, and I done tried to contact their customer service department three times. Two of those times, I even left my number after waitin' a whole 40 minutes on hold. Ain't heard back from none of those calls still. It's a real shame that TackleDirect has such a sloppy customer service game.
What's worse, my neighbor had the exact same problem with his order. When they finally did contact him about it, he said "see ya" and canceled his order 'cause he done found what he needed elsewhere. If this is how they roll, then they're probably gonna lose a whole mess of customers.
I gotta admit though, I done ordered from 'em twice before and never had no issues with gettin' my stuff on time. But if there's any problems with my order, I expect to actually talk to someone 'bout it. Whole situation's got me feelin' real disappointed.
Unbeatable Prices, Exceptional Gear, and Outstanding Service: My Experience with Tackle Direct
I'm an experienced charter fishing captain from the stunning Port St Joe, Florida, just along the Gulf of Mexico. My livelihood relies on my equipment; it's crucial for my customers' overall satisfaction and an unforgettable experience catching fish. Thanks to Tackle Direct, I can always trust that my gear will perform as needed.
From top-quality rods, reels, braid, leader, terminal tackle, nets, gaffs to essential boat supplies, I buy it all from Tackle Direct without any second thoughts. Even though I'm not from the area, the staff never hesitates to lend their expertise, making sure that I buy the best fishing gear that suits the needs of me and my customers.
What I noticed and appreciate most about Tackle Direct is their unbeatable prices. I could go anywhere to find the best deals and availability, but I love shopping at Tackle Direct, where I can get everything under a single roof, and at a price that doesn't put a dent in my wallet.
And the customer service is just exceptional! They always pay attention to my needs and requirements, and I can always trust them to provide me with the right gear and advice without fail. Even though they may talk a little funny, these guys are genuine fishers at heart, and they always know what it takes to fill up that fish box.
As a charter fishing captain, countless factors can make or mar my reputation, but it's relieving to know that Tackle Direct has my back. Their equipment and service have made my job much smoother and efficient every time I hit the water. And now that piracy is rampant on online marketplaces, it's rare to find a vendor that has your best interests at heart. But Tackle Direct has always earned my loyalty and business through their excellent service, unbeatable prices, and exceptional gear.
TackleDirect: The Perfect Place to Buy Fishing Gear Online
TackleDirect (tackledirect.com) is a great website to buy fishing gear. They got all you need, from rods to reels and fishing lines. They even got some of them fancy lures that look like real fish!
I recently bought a reel from TackleDirect and boy, was I impressed! It was delivered to me faster than expected and looked just as it was advertised on the website. I could tell by just holding it in my hands that it was a good quality reel.
Their customer service was also great. I had some questions about the product and they were quick to respond and very helpful. They even gave me some tips on how to use the reel, which was really nice.
One thing I didn't like was that some of the items on their website were a bit pricey. But hey, quality doesn't come cheap, right?
Overall, I would definitely recommend TackleDirect to any fisherman out there. They got a great selection of products and the customer service is top-notch. Plus, you can't beat the convenience of shopping for fishing gear online. So, go ahead and give them a try! You won't be disappointed.
Good Products, Terrible Customer Service: My Experience with TackleDirect
I gave TackleDirect a one-star review for their poor customer service, but after finally receiving my order, I'll bump it up to three stars. Let me tell you, their customer service needs improvement. I was only trying to order four fishing tackle items, but somehow half my order was missing and the remaining items were on backorder. I waited for two whole weeks and still didn't receive the rest of my order. Even though all of the items were available at local stores, I thought ordering online would be more convenient. I was wrong.
Not only did I receive no response from their customer service after two attempts, but I also had to wait on hold for over an hour just to speak to someone over the phone. I even sent multiple emails asking about my order and still got no response. Thank goodness my order was small. I planned on making a larger purchase until I read all the negative reviews citing poor customer service. It seems like it's a common issue for them.
Eventually, my remaining items arrived, but only after weeks of waiting. Tackle Direct needs to staff appropriately to handle these kinds of problems. Otherwise, they're just losing business to their competitors. Next time, I'm going to buy from Cabelas or Bass Pro, stores that have more established customer service departments. Saving a few bucks isn't worth all the hassle.
Poor Communication From TackleDirect After Order Issue
So, I gotta tell ya, my experience with TackleDirect started out pretty good. I placed an order for a couple of Seigler SGN Reels, and they arrived super quick. But then, I realized that one of the reels was missing the rod clamp, which made it totally useless to me. So, I called their customer service line on May 15th, and after waiting on hold for about 40 minutes (which is a long time, but I get it, they're busy), I finally got to talk to a real live person.
Now, I gotta be honest, this guy was pretty cool. He listened to my problem, and even though he couldn't fix it himself, he promised to talk to Seigler and get the missing part sent out to me. He even took down my phone number to make sure he could reach me when it was taken care of. So, I was feeling pretty good about the whole situation, and I thought everything would be resolved soon.
But, here's where things get kinda annoying. Two weeks went by, and I didn't hear anything from TackleDirect. No call, no text, no email. So, I decided to give 'em a call myself, and that's when things went south. They told me to email them a couple of times, but it's been crickets ever since. And let me tell ya, my customer ain't happy about it. He's been calling me non-stop, wondering where his custom rods are.
So, here's the deal. I get that mistakes happen, and I don't even mind waiting a little bit for the missing part to come in. But, I just wish TackleDirect would communicate with me a little better. I mean, is it really so hard to send a quick email or make a phone call? I'm starting to look like a real jerk to my customer, and I just wanna get this all sorted out.
My order number is 852867, and I talked to a guy on May 15th around 2:50-3:01 PM. It'd be great if someone from TackleDirect could reach out to me and give me an update. Until then, I'm not gonna be able to recommend 'em to anyone.
Mixed experience with TackleDirect - shipping issues and poor communication during pandemic
Aight, so let me tell ya 'bout my experience with TackleDirect. Now, I get that we're in the middle of a pandemic and things aren't normal. But, I placed an order on April 5 and my credit card was charged immediately. It wasn't until weeks later that I found out my items were on back order. I ain't gonna lie, I sent multiple emails and made a bunch of phone calls during this time. Only got one email back letting me know my stuff was on back order. I even tried to cancel my order but couldn't get through to anyone. Ain't that somethin'?
To top it off, I found out that TackleDirect charged me twice the shipping costs that their vendor would have charged me. That's over $100 just for shipping, dang. Finally, after 3 weeks of tryna get through to someone, my order showed up. They did refund half of my shipping costs, but still.
Now, I ain't saying TackleDirect is terrible or anything, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I ain't sure if I'd order from them again. I mean, I get that these are difficult times, but I order a lot of fishing gear and packages from other vendors are showing up daily at my house. No one else seems to be havin' the same issues fulfilling orders as TackleDirect.
I mean shoot, when Amazon can get me a package in less than 48 hours with free shipping, what's the incentive to buy from TackleDirect again? I dunno, maybe things will get better in the future, but for now I ain't entirely sure if I trust 'em.
Mixed Experience with TackleDirect Customer Service: A Review
When I placed my order for the rod and reel combo on TackleDirect, I was really excited to get my hands on it. But, it turned out that the item was out of stock. I felt pretty down about it, but I decided to reach out to their customer service to see what I could do.
At first, I was pretty concerned about how to proceed with my order. But, when I got in touch with the first representative from TackleDirect customer service team, I was amazed by their helpfulness. This representative talked me through all of my options and really helped me come up with a solid plan to keep my order.
After agreeing to keep my order, I felt pretty relieved. But, then things got a little more difficult. A second representative from the customer service team contacted me and told me that my order had been canceled. This was really frustrating, especially since I'd already agreed to keep it. But, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
I reordered the combo, with some hesitation. But, this time around, I received my order without any hassles. It did take a bit longer than I'd expected, but I was happy with the end result. I did however have to do some guesswork with delivery as the rod and the reel were sent separately, but that didn't bother me too much.
Overall, I know that times can be tough for businesses right now, so I'm not going to judge TackleDirect too harshly based on my experience. But, I do think that their communication could have been better. It took a bit of effort to figure out what was going on with my order, and I wish that it might have been explained more clearly from the outset.
TackleDirect's Exceptional Customer Service: A Review
Wow, where do I even start with my experience with TackleDirect? Let me just say, their customer service is out of this world. And trust me, I had a nightmare experience that was totally out of anyone's control.
I decided to splurge a little and venture into the higher-end fishing rods to see if there really was a difference between a $40 rod and a $200 one. So I purchased the Megabass Levante 2019, which, let me tell you, is one good-looking rod. But on the second cast with a Rapala DT6, it snapped. Confused and angry, I decided to call support.
To my surprise, the guy I talked to was understanding and helpful. He walked me through the process of getting the broken rod replaced and shipped back to them. Unfortunately, the exact model was out of stock, so they sent me something similar instead. Fast forward about two weeks, and I finally received my new Levante. But it was storming like crazy in Oklahoma, so I had to wait a bit before using it again.
Finally, I decided to tie on a Texas-rigged Senko and cast it out. And what do you know? The rod snapped again, this time on the very first cast. Frustrated, I called support once more and decided to switch to the St. Croix Mojo Bass line instead. And let me tell you, the customer service rep was so helpful in finding the right one for me. (I know it seems like I'm being sarcastic, but I promise you, these guys are actually great.)
I finally settled on the medium-heavy fast-action one-piece Mojo Bass, which even came with a free hat. I mentioned the hat to the rep, and he said he'd add a note to my order. Cut to over two weeks later, and the Mojo arrives in the mail. Except... it's a two-piece rod, and no hat to be found. At this point, I didn't want to complain about anything else. I was just happy to have a new rod that I could finally use.
Overall, despite a few hiccups along the way, I have to say that TackleDirect has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. I may have had a rough start with the Levante line, but the Mojo Bass more than makes up for it. (Plus, it's definitely a sight for sore eyes after all those rod replacements.)
Mixed Experience with TackleDirect.com: A Review of Live Target and Spool-Teck Lures
I bought several Live Target and Spool-Teck lures from TackleDirect.com. I think I may have ordered more than once because these lures are just that good! Overall, my experience shopping on TackleDirect.com was good. The website was easy to navigate, and I was satisfied with the products I received.
However, I did run into some issues. Some of the lures I ordered took a while to arrive because they were not in inventory at the time of my order. It wasn't clear to me when I placed the order that these lures were back ordered. Some of the lures shipped from the manufacturer to TackleDirect.com, and then to me, as I discovered when I followed up with customer service.
The Spool-Tek item I received was the biggest disappointment. All the previous lures I ordered came with a spare replacement tail in the package. However, the Spool-Tek lure I received did not have a spare replacement tail. I called customer service to inquire about this and the representative was very kind and concerned. She informed me that the manufacturer had changed ownership and they no longer include replacement tails with their lures.
I feel like TackleDirect.com should have notified customers of this change in product before shipping it out. It's not fair that customers receive a different product than what they ordered without any adjustment to pricing. Additionally, this issue happened in February, and the follow-up from customer service came in June. That's a bit late, don't you think?
Despite these issues, I was an active and paying customer of TackleDirect.com at the time of this experience. I hope that TackleDirect.com makes some improvements to their notifications and policies regarding changes in their products, so that future customers don't have to experience the same disappointment I did.
Sincerely,
Dave Moore
Detailed Categories Needed to Improve Website Navigation for Fishing Gear
The website is pretty simple and easy to navigate, but I think it would be so much better if they made more detailed categories for EVERYTHING! For instance:
Reels: spinning & casting
Rods: Spinning & Casting
Baits (above & beyond hard-baits & soft) get specific, so the customers can easily find what they are looking for and maybe discover new and different brands and styles that they wouldn't otherwise buy.
Hardbaits can get even more specific: Lipless, Shallow divers (0-4ft), Medium Divers (5-12ft), Deep Divers (12-25+ft)!
What about glide baits? Spy baits? and Top Waters?
The same goes for soft baits: Creatures, Worms, Paddle Tails, Stick Worms, Drop Shots!
And don't forget terminal tackle: Worm Hooks, Treble Hooks, Split Rings, Jig Heads, Swimbait Heads and Weighted Hooks.
They should also make a list of all the different categories for the weights that they carry: Tungsten, drop shot, nail Weights, and more. Get super specific!
Moreover, they could benefit from a much more elaborate detailing of each product. They should tell the customers why and when they should be fishing with Fluorocarbon over Mono and explain the benefits that each line provides.
They should also explain to the customers why they might want longer rods, heavier actions, and faster tapers, as well as reel sizes and speeds.
Don't misunderstand me, their platform is already great and has so much potential. But not everyone visiting the website has the same knowledge of the sport, and they require guidance, especially when there isn't always a customer service representative walking around to help them out, share tips, and introduce them to new products. When I made these changes to my MUCH MUCH MUCH smaller and unknown local tackle store's website, our sales went up drastically, and I started bringing in new products! It changed my whole world!
Anyways, those are just a few thoughts. But keep up the excellent work, guys!

Frustrating Experience with TackleDirect: Backorders, Delays, and Disappointments
I had a pretty frustrating experience with TackleDirect. I was really excited to order a specific item from their website, but unfortunately, it ended up being a huge hassle. I waited and waited for close to two months, constantly calling to check on the status of my order. Every time I called, I was told that the item was backordered and that I should expect to receive it in about five days.
After two months of waiting, I was finally refunded my money. I was really disappointed to hear that they no longer produced the item and that they couldn't get it for me. What's even more frustrating is that I checked their website today and it says that there are 10+ available from their vendors. It just doesn't make sense to me.
Luckily, I was able to find the item I wanted on Home Depot's website for a lower price. I decided to order it through them instead and was shocked when I received it just three days later. If I had known that Home Depot had the item in stock, I would have ordered from them from the beginning.
Overall, I'm really disappointed with my experience with TackleDirect. It's frustrating to wait for so long and then find out that they can't even get the item for you. I also find it strange that their website says that the item is available from their vendors when they told me that they couldn't get it. To make matters worse, I can't even attach my order to this review because TackleDirect still has it listed as processing and waiting for review. It's just a really frustrating situation all around.
Disappointing Customer Service: My Experience with TackleDirect
Yo, so I ordered this sick Loomis NRX Rod from TackleDirect for $525 and let me tell you, I was stoked. But bro, the worst happened - in the first week of using it to reel in a little bass, the dang thing snapped right in half. I called TD up and told them what happened, and they were all like "nahhhh you need to talk to Loomis about that warranty, dude." So then I had to pay out of pocket $40 just to ship the broken rod back to 'em and wait a whole freakin' two weeks for them to send me a replacement. Not cool, man. I mean, if it were me, I would've just replaced the rod with no questions asked since I literally only used it for a week before it broke.
To be honest with y'all, this kind of put a damper on my feelings toward TackleDirect. I mean, they have like a crazy-awesome inventory and they're right here in New Jersey, where I'm at, but like, if I'm spending that much money on high-end gear, I expect some better customer service, ya know? I want to feel like they actually care about their customers and their products, so I'm not too sure if I'll be buying anything big from them again anytime soon.
Disappointing Customer Experience with TackleDirect: A Review of Their Service
I recently purchased a reel from TackleDirect, and it wasn't the best experience. After waiting a few days, I received an email stating that my purchase had been shipped. The very next day, I received another email saying that it had been delivered. However, when I went to pick up the package, the FedEx representative told me that they had picked it up, but then delivered it back to the same place - what a nightmare!
I tried reaching out to TackleDirect as per their instructions, but unfortunately, I didn't get any response. After waiting patiently for five whole days, I decided to take the matter up with PayPal and file a dispute to get my money back. PayPal asked me to call TackleDirect, but when I tried the phone number they gave me, it was invalid! At this point, I was beyond frustrated.
Eventually, after much hassle, I did finally receive my reel but never heard from TackleDirect again until they asked me to give them a positive rating. Honestly, it was not a great experience, and I don't think I would order from them again.
While I understand that sometimes things can go wrong, and mistakes happen, I was very disappointed with how TackleDirect handled the situation. I hope they improve their customer service in the future.

Shipping Troubles with TackleDirect's USPS Option - Review
TackleDirect is a pretty darn good place to shop. Their stuff is good, and the prices are right. But I got a package delivered by USPS, and it was a mess. They wouldn't leave the package even though I asked them to, and instead they left a note for me to sign and get a re-delivery. The note disappeared, and so did my package. I spent two weeks trying to track it down. This was in San Diego, so I don't think I can trust USPS as a delivery option. TackleDirect really should consider some other delivery options so that customers can pick the one that works best for them. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'll order from TackleDirect again because the shipping is such a hassle.
TackleDirect Review: Slow Shipping, Missing Items, and Poor Inventory Management
Yo, I just gotta say, I waited a good couple of weeks to get my order from TackleDirect and when it finally came, a bunch of stuff was missin'! I mean come on, how hard is it to keep track of inventory and update your website, am I right? They said the stuff was out of stock, but like, why wasn't that on the site when I ordered it? It's weak sauce.
Anyways, the stuff I did get, I had already found somewhere else cuz I ain't got time to wait around for slowpokes. Now I gotta wait even longer for a freakin' return authorization sticker to send back the crap I don't need anymore. Ain't nobody got time for that either.
Listen, I get it, we're all strugglin' with this Covid stuff, but like, don't be slackin' on your website updates and inventory management. It's just not cool. Hopefully I can actually return this junk soon and get my money back. Not holding my breath though.
Word of advice to y'all - maybe double check that everything you order is actually in stock before you click "buy." Otherwise you might end up like me, waitin' around for ages and gettin' half your stuff.
Peace out,
Sam Block
TackleDirect: Horrible Customer Service and Incomplete Orders - Save Yourself the Headache!
Wow, where do I start with TackleDirect? I shopped on their website, tackledirect.com, and made a purchase for over $1500! That's right, I spent a lot of money with them. However, I only received items worth $1000! What happened to the rest of my order? They claim that they shipped everything, but why did I not receive my other items that were worth $550? They were in stock, so what's the hold up?
I've been trying to get in touch with someone at TackleDirect for over 35 days now! Believe it or not, I've called their toll-free number hundreds of times and sent multiple emails, but they haven't responded to me at all! It's like I'm talking to a brick wall. They've taken my money and left me without any answers or solution to my problem. It's been over a month and I still haven't received my entire order.
Honestly, TackleDirect has horrible customer service! It's a shame that they treat their customers this way. I'm extremely disappointed with them and their lack of responsibility. It's not right that they can get away with taking people's money and not handing over their full orders. This is why I highly, highly, highly don't recommend buying from here! Save yourself the headache and go to another company that values its customers and their purchases.
Sincerely,
Arjun
Poor Communication and Backorders: My Disappointing Experience with TackleDirect.com
Me go on TackleDirect.com think I find best online store for fisherman. But me was not happy with how they handle my order. Me buy some items and they take me money but then they tell me all items on backorder. Me wait and wait and no email telling me when me can expect my items. Me call TackleDirect and girl on phone seem like she have attitude and tell me they no tell people when item on backorder. Me not happy with this, but me wait two weeks like she say and call again. This time me talk to guy who nice and tell me my items coming on Monday. Me get two out of the many me order, but rest get cancelled with no communication. Me feel like TackleDirect not good with communication and me not happy. Me talk to eight other people in my fishing club and they say they have same problem and not order from TackleDirect again. Me pay more elsewhere for better service. Maybe one day, TackleDirect can work on their communication.
My Disappointing Experience with TackleDirect: A Warning to Fellow Anglers
So there I was, finally ready to get some saltwater terminal tackle, and I spent a good chunk of time adding all the stuff I wanted to my cart on TackleDirect's website (tackledirect.com). I'm not gonna lie, I'm not the most tech-savvy person out there, but I managed to figure out how to log out and come back to my cart later when I was actually ready to buy.
Fast forward to a week or two later. I'm finally ready to make my purchase and I log back in to TackleDirect. And what do I find? My cart is empty! All that time I spent picking out the perfect gear, wasted. Needless to say, I was pretty upset about that.
But, being the persistent fisherman that I am, I decided to give TackleDirect another chance and spent even more time selecting my saltwater tackle again. This time, I made sure to double-check that everything I wanted was listed as in stock before I hit that "checkout" button.
Now, here's where things really went downhill. I paid for my order with my credit card (like you do) and everything seemed fine. Until I got an email from TackleDirect a few days later saying that not all my items were actually in stock and they were going to have to cancel some of my order. And get this- they had already charged my credit card before even shipping anything out! I was pretty steamed to say the least.
All in all, I don't think I'll be using TackleDirect again. They really dropped the ball on multiple occasions and left me feeling like they didn't appreciate my business. Save yourself the hassle and shop somewhere else, folks. You don't need that kind of frustration in your life.
Bumpy Road: My Experience with TackleDirect Gift Certificate
I gotta say, I had a bit of a bumpy ride with TackleDirect. I was all set to use a gift certificate that someone gave me, but for some reason, I had a tough time figuring out how to use it on the website. Every other site I've bought from, you enter the code when you're checking out - but not here. I had to get on the horn and call up customer service for some help. Finally, I managed to place my order and got an email to confirm everything. Only problem? They charged me the whole dang amount! What the heck?! I had to call customer service again just to make sure that my gift card had actually gone through. After a few tries, I finally hung up feeling pretty frustrated. I was pretty shocked to see that the full amount was yanked right out of my bank account and held there until the order was finally shipped. I mean, come on now - how does that make any sense? TackleDirect authorized the gift card when it was sold - so why am I left waiting for the credit to be given back to me? Honestly, this whole thing has me feeling pretty skeptical about ordering from these folks again.
Warning: TackleDirect Order Disaster - Don't Waste Your Time or Money!
I done ordered me summa them 20 packs o' 6 inch pumpkin seed lizards from TackleDirect on May 21st. They said it was sent out on the 22nd, but ain't no tracking number to be found! It's already June 12th and I still ain't got nothin'! Been emailing 'em but ain't gotten no response, and called 'em a buncha times only to hear some dang answering machine! Had to go and get my tackle somewhere else, and missed two fishin' trips 'cause of it! Ain't nothin' but a buncha bull! I know the virus is causing problems, but at least they coulda told me somethin', ya know? I don't even know if I got robbed or what the heck happened to my order! Don't want nobody else to go through this mess and end up spendin' more money than they got's to! 'Specially after lookin' at other reviews where people are havin' the same problem! Save yerself the headache and just stay away from this place!
Frustrating Checkout Experience: Yo Zuri Hydro Minnows Promo Deal Review
I gotta say, I was really excited about the promo message that I saw on TackleDirect for the Yo Zuri hydro minnows. I mean, who doesn't love getting a little extra something? So I decided to go ahead and try to purchase two of the minnows, hoping to get those bonus bone color ones as advertised. But man, let me tell you, the checkout feature had some serious bugs. Every time I tried to add the shipping costs in, it would refresh my cart and take away the promo discount. That meant I'd end up paying for three lures instead of just two - not cool, man. According to the promo, I should only be paying for the two lures and getting two free ones. But it seemed like the website just couldn't handle it. I tried everything, even cleared my browser cache, but the bug just wouldn't go away. It was so frustrating to keep updating my cart, and in the end, I just gave up and bought one lure. It's a bummer that I couldn't take full advantage of the promo deal. I really hope TackleDirect can fix these issues with their platform. It makes it a lot harder for customers to trust their website.
