Tan Your Hide Billing/credit report

I purchased a month of indoor tanning the second month I paid 2 days later I provided documentation for my doctor stating I can no longer tan and doors because of a severe health condition I was told by the owner Kim or Wendy they were sincerely apologetic for my health issue and told him not to worry about the contract and I will be refunded the money I have $65 for that month. Come to find out I was still being charged and it is now a negative hit on my credit report and they are responding with nasty rude emails the lies the rudeness and the unprofessional is absolutely disgraceful disgusting.

Tan Your Hide will not cancel membership, even for medical reasons!

I recently had a large chunk of skin surgically removed from my torso, because it was severely pre-cancerous. It was an emergency procedure that I had to get done the same day we discovered it, that's how bad it was. It was very traumatic. I went to the Aurora/Cornerstar location of Tan Your Hide and spoke to Lisa. After explaining everything, she informed me that I need not worry, and that she would make sure my membership was cancelled and that I would not even be charged a cancellation fee due to the medical nature of the issue. Lo and behold, I was still charged my $64.90 fee the following month for my membership. I spoke to Lisa again, and she said that she had "told me that I needed to get a doctor's note and send it to corporate" at their company email address. Even though she had not told me any of this previously, I went ahead and sent a copy of my medical claim to corporate and explained the situation. After many back an forth correspondences, they are still refusing to cancel my membership. This was very traumatic for me, having this surgery done, and I want nothing to do with tanning salons at this point. I cannot believe that a medical issue like this is not enough of a reason for them to cancel a membership. Especially given the fact that one of their own employees told me that they would cancel it. The lack of customer service and consideration here is unbelievable.

Tan Your Hide Poorly trained staff, inability to keep paperwork organized

Tan your hide does not, under any circumstances, allow you to cancel your membership. Whether it be pregnancy or relocation to an area where there aren't tan your hide salons available. Don't get yourself stuck in a contract like i am. I moved states and am still paying for a membership that i can not use.

My experience with the staff at multiple colorado springs locations has not been much better. Often, the woman sitting at the front desk is either snobbish or acts as if i am bothering her by coming in to tan. Terrible customer service.

As far as the cleanliness, it is decent. There have been several occurrences where i've had to go back to the front desk and ask the employee to clean the bed as she sent me to a room that was never cleaned.

Furthermore, the salons tend to be dark, so it is difficult to see how dirty it actually is. Protip: the dark lighting throughout (Yes, even dark in the bathroom!) and lack of mirrors in the tanning rooms trick you into thinking you're getting more tan than you actually are.

Just when i thought i was done with this place (Not actually done because my membership isn't up for five more months, but done with the rude, poorly trained staff), i received a phone call. About three months ago, i traveled back to colorado springs and changed the bank account that tyh withdraws my membership fee from. I had moved, so i switched banks and cancelled my old account. I filled out the paperwork with the information from my new account. Today, two months later, i received a phone call that i was being sent to collections if they don't receive my payment. I called back immediately to report that i had provided my new bank account number months ago. She said the company was switching over computer systems and there had been "glitches" occurring ever since. **don't threaten to send customers to collections when you can't get your computer system figured out. Why don't you get that straight and then start the phone calls?** anyway, she asked me for my new card number and information, which i was previously told i could not provide over the phone to change my account number. Good, she has the info. Done with this place. Five minutes later, i receive a voicemail. She deleted all my information by accident and needs me to call back and provide her with the card number again. This brand is a joke.

Please, do yourself a favor and search for a salon with knowledgeable staff, clean facilities, new bulbs, good ownership, and reasonable cancellation policies. I would recommend sassy suntan in colorado springs.

Tan Your Hide Business Practices

I signed a contract with Tan Your Hide. I understood the terms of the contract and had every intention of fulfilling my contract. However, my husband was laid off from his job and we were forced to move out of state. How can there be no way to cancel a contract? I will pay cancellation fees. I realize I am breach of the contract, but they absolutely will not allow any cancellations under any circumstances, not even if I die. I have never hear of this. I have read multiple reviews from people with similar circumstances. I wish Tan Your Hide was where I live, but they aren't. They just dismiss your request out of hand. How much money have they robbed from the customers. This is the worst way to do business. STAY AWAY from any contracts with Tan Your Hide, because if you die, they will keep charging your account. Nasty customer service, no suggestions to work this out. So now I set 50 dollars a month on fire. I can prove that I have moved. This place is a joke. I would seriously like to know how much money they have made from this underhanded, unprofessional business practice. I will continue to send out negative reviews and warn people to stay away.

Tan Your Hide unprofessional

the first time I walked into this salon. I thought it was a nice setup, then, I walked in and didn't feel like the employees cared whatsoever. I was asked my last name as soon as I walked in. I had to ask every questin, I asked the manager to be shown around, she didn't even show me the uv-free mystic. I wasn't told what the beds do for my skin. I asked her everything I needed to know about the membership because she didn't go into details about the membership and made me feel like, me, myself, couldn't afford a level three membership. The beds were not completely clean, mind you, the acrylics look like they will break at any moment. I brought my own eyewear because I don't feel the eyewear used by other clients are clean enough for my standards. The very next day I had an even worse experience with the tanning consultant behind the counter. I feel the customer service could have been way better. She looked like she just rolled out of bed, still had a bandana on, she just looked like she couldn't tell me how I could get the best possible tan. She didn't stand up, didn't greet me, again, just asked my last name. And she proceeded to have a complete attitude because on the computer it stated I owed money, but just the day before I pre-paid my membership. Then I asked her what type of eyewear was sold there, then she responded, goggles. I even knew the brands of eyewear they sold. She didn't know how to explain lotion nor the beds either. She proceeded to clean beds and after cleaning mine, it didn't even looke like it was even cleaned, so I took the solution myself and cleaned it. I just think the only thing going for this store is the bulbs getting changed on time. I still tan because I have a membership and it's close to my home, but, the customer service from the employees SUCK! I would love to be able to contact the corporate office myself because I feel like even if I write about my complaint it will not be resolved. But thank you for your time.

Tan Your Hide is ruthless! After previously being with them for 9 mos and then renewing my membership, Tan Your Hide showed no empathy for my personal situation. A month into my renewal, I found out that I was pregnant. And as any intelligent mother-to-be would do I emailed the corporate office in Colorado Springs to request my membership to be canceled...
