My girlfriend and I visited the Napa Target on Soscol and we approached an employee to ask for assistance. This employee was Eric, a large man with a beard. He answered our question, but he leered at my girlfriend the entire time he spoke to us. If this wasn't bad enough, he followed us around the store whilst pretending to re-arrange merchandise...

Target improper refund/rude

On June 1, 2011 My fiance and I went into the Target shopping for a bra for our wedding in July. She had tried on 15-20 Bras before she found 2 of them that she liked but wasn't sure which one would fit better with her dress. One of them was 12.99 and the other was 16.99. We got home and she immediately tried them on and the one that she liked was the 12.99 bra. She placed the other in the Target bag along with the reciept so next time we are in Albuquerque we would return it.

On June 16, 2011 we went to Target to return the bra. The clerk stated they didn't carry this bra and never have. My Fiance informed that we got it here and a manager was called immediately. They stated the tag was wrong and that bra didn't come from there. Then a gift card was given to her for 9.62. We didnt buy anything for 9.62, the prices were 16.99 and 12.99. As stated on the reciepts.

I then went in and tried to talk to these people and again was told this item didn't come from this store. I advised we got the bra here and if the tag was wrong, it wasn't my fault. They need to be responsible for items in there and to make sure the items are marked correctly. I advised the clerk and Manager I used to shop here all the time but with their unproffessionalism I will not be in any more. And just before I walked out the manager suggested looking at the cameras to see the problem. I took that as I was lying or stealing. I found that very insulting. I have been in law enforcement for 12 years and wouldn't waste my time or anyone elses unless I knew I was right. Thank you for your time in this matter, Jason Hunter

I didn't want to waste my time looking at Cameras. I know what happened I was there. I have never stolen a thing in my life. For you to say its suspicous is ignorant.

And as for her trying on the bra and bringing it back, it was for our wedding and she had to see how if fit with her wedding dress and it didn't fit right. So this was the last day we go into any ### Target store. I guess your employees don't have to have a personality or an education to work. Your crap is overpriced junk anyway, cya

what were u afraid of? you couldve proved a point if the camera was wrong then, the management wouldve gave you your full refund. but the fact that you refused the offer made you more suspicious. target doesnt care if you were in iraq and killed osama bin laden. just because you were in the work force doesnt mean you cannot be guilty. you sound full of yourself.

also the only thing i can tell is if the bra were on clearance we usually dont take them back, tbh i think the clothing policy should be change, bra and underwear that is bought cannot be returned. i mean that gross your wife wore the bra to see if it would fit but decided to return it. yea if it was my store id say hell no.

Target bad experience

I purchased Leggs pantyhose and when I got home, I found they had snags in them. I returned them to the store and they would not help me because I had thrown away my receipt. The Customer Service Mgr. referred me to the 1-800 Guest Services number and they were no help either. I told the rep. there that I would no longer shop at Target if this matter was not resolved. All I want is an exchange of the product. Is $4.00 worth losing a customer for life? My family and I shop at Target all the time and usually your staff is interested in helping a client, but everyone I came in contact with in this instance wasn't the least bit interested in solving my problem. Is this how Target is in 2011!

Target customer service nightmare

My experience with Target was a nightmare! When I was looking for a specific hair coloring product, I could not find it. I tried to look for an employee to assist me, but had a hard time. Once I was able to locate an employee, she made an uncalled for comment, about how that specific Target branch did not carry the product because they targeted "ethnic" people. I was completely taken back by the comment. To me, it sounded racist and I did not feel welcomed.

That was just the beginning. As I was checking out, I had coupons for certain products. The cashier was utterly ignorant of the stores coupon policy and made rude expressions. The cashier kept rolling her eyes, making sigh noises, and putting her hand on her waist.

Instead of feeling satisfied with my purchase, I walked out feeling disappointed and frustrated. I could not believe the lack of customer service and lack of products available. I used to enjoy shopping at Target but after this occurred; I will not be shopping there anymore, until things change.

Target employee mistreatment

I do not know if this is the correct place to make a comment but hopefully it gets to the right person. I went to shop at your Scottsdale, Arizona location on 9000 E. Indian Bend. As I was walking into the store I noticed a woman who looked to be a manager, a woman by the name of Aly, speaking with the lot attendant. They were standing maybe 10 feet from the main entrance. The lot attendant is specials needs, a curly, red haired gentleman with glasses and I have seen him before. The manager was being so rude and condescending, I could not help but feel horrible and embarrased for the attendant. I could see the stress in his face because he knew she was unhappy. She was telling him he needed to make sure certain things were done properly. As I walked inside I walked to the clothing. About 5 minutes later, I walked back up because I was considering making a complaint, and she was STILL outside pointing her finger and talking loudly at him. I then walked over so I could see her name tag so I could write a complaint. I enjoy shopping at Target, but I couldn't help but be disgusted at how this woman treated a special needs individual. Especially right in front of the entrance where everyone and anyone could see. I have worked as a sales executive for many years and if a sales representative of mine acted this way, they would not be on my team. It was completely unprofessional and if this is how Target treats their employees, especially those with special needs, I will not shop there. I will also be writing to corporate and anyone who will listen.

Sound like a "What would you do?" situation. The fact that she spoke up and lodged a complaint means that she is not going to put up with treatment of any individual, whether they are special or not. In fact I have seen members of management treat their fellow co-workers badly. I am a secret shopper and often have had to grade retail shops by what I have seen done by management. When employed your manager is your role model, he sets the tone for the store. When moral is down, so is customer service.

Target horrible customer service

So i left the Target store in union, nj so dissatisfied the other day. This is what happened.. So i was looking at the bathing suits. I found one that i liked. I bought a size medium in the top and bottom peice. When i got home to try it on, i realized that the bottom peice was too small, so i decided to go back and get a large, which i saw about 4 of them displayed when i originally bought the medium. By the time i went back into the store with my receipt and original purchase (a week later), all the larges were gone. So i took my receipt up to guest services and asked the associate could he tell me if this union store or another store had this swimsuit in a large. The guy scans my receipt, scans the bathing suit and then tells me, "ummm well i think we have like 4 of them here, but i dont know if they are size large." Hmmmm, ok then, so i asked him if he could look up the large size, he said no. So then i asked him could he look up if another store had it, he said no. So i said, "well what am i supposed to do, find someone on the floor to help me?" He goes, "yea." Alright fine. I go back to the sales floor and what a suprise NO ONE was there. The place was like a ghosttown. I circled the clothes department a good 4 times, looking for someone to help me. No one. By this time, i was upset, I put everything i had that i was going to purchase that day down, and walked out. Keep it up, and i wont be back. Ever.

Target stupid employees

I purchased 2 bikes from the Vallejo Target about a month ago, due to bad weather, I was only able to take them out twice. During the 2 outings with these bikes my husband and I noticed some interesting problems. The first obvious issue, my husband attempted to slow down, low and behold, whichever wonderfully talented employee assembling bikes that day his was made, completely forgot to properly instal his brakes. Luckily, he was able to stop without a problem and he, being Mr. Fixit, solved this problem for himself. Now for the kicker. Up until the 2nd bike ride, I had found nothing wrong with my bike with the way it rode or with an inspection. Boy did I learn that looks can be decieving. I hooked up a trailer for two of my children (purchased at walmart, thank goodness, or that may have fallen apart too) and started riding. Within about a 1/4 mile, I started hearing a funny metal on metal clanking. Shortly after, the pedal nearly came off. It was so loose I felt that I could literaly pull it off. As I was attempting to stop, the handlebar grip came completely off, causing me to lose my balance since it was unexpected. To make along story short, I am picking myself up off the ground, screaming and cursing the day Target opened and swearing that if anything would have happened to my kids, I would have sued them until hell froze over. I have complained to Target directly and got an e-mail response saying, "Oh, I am sorry to hear that. I am forwarding the message to the Vallejo store." Well I dont give a hoot who you send it to, I want the problem fixed. I have complained with BBB as well. We shall see if they do what is right. Moral of the story? I guess you cant even trust the "professionals".

First time and last time that I ever go to the target that is located on sepulveda/Burbank. As I was walking on a main aisle there were two cleaning ladies/ employees cleaning the floor with paper towels(with no caution/floor wet sign posted) and as I was walking by with my cart and kids first thing that comes out of the employees mouth is"si se caen no es nuestra culpa para que andan de ensimosos" in English this means "if you fall is not our fault". My response to her was why don't you put some cones up. I went around her mess she was cleaning so why that comment? That's not something you say as you see a customer walking by. The rest of my visit at that store I was angry I was calling her very nasty names inside of me that she should be glad I didn't say to her face because I had my kids.

Target the complainers.

I just want to take the time to say how rediculous some of the people are on here. I'm a GSTL at a Target in Washington. Everyday I go to work, I have to deal with customers who think they are better than us. That they deserve some sort of special treatment and that my life revolves around them. I got my first guest comment card saying I ruined someones day and was very rude yesterday. This woman had childrens toys hidden under a coat in the card and she was already almost done checking out. I said to her "oh, lets not forget the toys" and I put them into her cart. Another thing, I think the return policy is reasonable. 90 days as long as the receipt is legible is very leniant towards the customer. How hard is it to make sure nothing spills on the reciept. Once there is no way to read the reciept, there is nothing the cashier can do to help you. The only option is to do a no reciept return. The other thing that angered me the most is when people come after the store closes and demand to be let in. The store is open for like 16 hours a day, why can the guest find time to come in then? We've worked long days, we just want to go home. I stand up for my cashiers, if a guest complains about one of them, I always listen to their side and then make a little defense for my cashiers. I think that many of the people in this website are just trying to get themselves some attention, I think they are being unfair to Target and the Team members.

This is an UNCOMPLAINT in response to the complaint! My husband & I love Target. We shop there all of the time. The store is great. The hours are great. The pharmacy rocks. The prices are awesome. The return policy is very generous! The customer service is awesome most of the time, too. I'm sure that there are legitimate complaints about Target sometimes, too, as nobody is perfect. However, I guess some people just get pissy & blame the store when they can't have their way...even if they're being unreasonable. Having worked at Taco Bell (yum!) when I was younger & experienced rudeness for no reason other than being the "dumb kid" who worked there, I'm always extremely polite and friendly when I deal within anyone who is just trying to do their job. If they choose not to be polite or friendly back, well, that's their problem, not mine. Maybe they need to grow a personality, ha, ha. Anyhow, I agree with the idea that people need to stop acting like they're somehow entitled to have everything their way and that the world revolves around only them.

Target illegal refund practices

Target will not credit me in the same form of payment originally used for purchase on a split tender receipt.

For my original purchase of $115, I paid $78 using a gift card, and $37 using my Visa. When I tried to return $35 worth of merchandise, Target would only offer me a refund on my gift card and would not credit my Visa. Because the original receipt shows the amount charged to my Visa was $37, my Visa should be credited up to $37 for any items returned from said purchase. Target does not have the right to dictate the allocation of my refund to their own benefit. As a consumer, I have the right to be refunded in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase. I do not want store credit, I will never shop at Target again. I want my refund credited back to my Visa.

First of all, there is a way around this. The giftcard was obviously used first, so the system automatically refunds it that way. HOWEVER - do not blame the company for this! This is POOR training of a guest service team member. All the team member had to do was call the HelpDesk to get an override to credit your Visa card. Making slanderous claims that Target is practicing "illegal" return policies is bogus, and a bit of an outburst. Calm down, and then call Target Guest Relations instead of slamming companies over the internet.

Illegal? Maybe he meant not allowed. And for that he would be correct. That is dictated by the merchant agreement Target has with Visa. Solution - issue a chargeback.

Target manners

I was shopping in Rockville, MD Target on Sunday 2/27, and it might be my last time, i used to shop every weekend at this Target.
I am in a need of a vacuum cleaner, so i took down several vacuums from the display, trying to pick the one that will be good for me, I was with my 2 year old and my mom so maybe we didn't seem to look like a customer ? Anyway, the women "target employee" yelled from the other side to me: " When you finish, please put this vacuums back on the display" I said Yes, and end up not buying the vacuum.
What was wrong with the customer service? Why i was not asked to be helped, but asked to clean up! I do not work for Target. This is very rude! I won't shop at the Target anymore, big lost becasue on avarege i spend between 150-200 a week

There are two sides to this coin. In this case, from what is written the employee should have asked if the customer needed any help and maybe helped her choose. That's what professionals do, and it's the professionals who know how to work with the public who get promoted and make more money.. Great Idea ha. But, I can also understand how a target employee can respond this way. If you watch many customers who drag their un-tamed children into target for no other reason but to play, toss and break every toy and entertainment and candy item in the store and then walk out with a dripping soft drink leaving nothing but a disastrous mess. Target employees are judged on how well their areas of responsibility look. It could mean their jobs if the store is not presentable and managers don't care how many pigs bring their kids in and let'm loss. They are busy and have better things to do than to pick up after public slobs. I'm not saying everyone is a slob, but it must get old after a while watching their efforts to cleanliness be destroyed by visitors who don't care. To the lady buying the vacum, please don't take affence, just try to understand that working with the public is the toughtest job in town. I hope the vacume did the job.. PS. I don't work for target, I just shop there too.

I do not believe you did anything wrong joandi. The target employee should have done the right thing by asking if you needed any help. That was very RUDE for the employee to yell that comment from the other side. However, if we do make a mess of the display, we need to put it back the way it is displayed.

Tommy, they are not moving their customer service overseas because it is the worst here. They do it for many reasons, most having to do with labor being cheaper in the other countries. And the poster was offended because she was told to clean up, and that is clear.

However I shall not stoop to your level and I thank everyone who has defended stealth and myself.

Displays are usually not for sale. So the PROPER thing to do was to put it back when YOU decide on the one you want to purchase. If you need help, you ask. Is that so difficult? The lady did nothing wrong

The 2 idiots above did not read the post...maybe they work for Target...LOL. The lady said that she was looking at them, not that she was not willing to clean up after herself. Customer service the worst in this country...no wonder everyone is moving the customer service side of their businesses to other countries.

Target associate charged me twice for an item on a promotion

I purchased one Bounty paper towel and one Cheer detergent and two Charmain Tissue
paper that was on a promotion. The Associate mistakenly charged me for an additional
Bounty paper towel. When I realize this, I turn right back and went back to the store and went back to the associate to look at the receipt because she charged me twice. She agreed, and initial the receipt and told me to go to customer service. I explain the matter to the associate and and she called a gentlemen over to go and check my story. I was gone for a while I thought talking with the associate double charged me. I was informed the reason he was taking so long was because he was looking at the video. To make sure. I fekt like a criminal. Then he returned and said to customer service associate that I only recieve one Bounty paper towel. Because of the promotion and receiving a gift cards with it, which I used to purchase a vacuum cleaner there. I was not going to get my full refund for what she charged me. What an injustice. Because I did purhase the four items to get (2) $5.00 gift cards. Target Stores I know you can do better than this. Don't make yur customer feel like a criminal. Can not find Target's complaint section on line.

Target wont produce copy of a receipt

I purchased 251.98 worth of Flex Spending medical products at target to use up FSA account balance at the end of the year. I sent my receipt to my insurance company and they claim they never received the receipt. Target will not produce a copy of the receipt when I bring my credit card to them, including the total purchase amount and transaction number. I should have copied the receipt in Target and put it in my LOCK BOX at the local bank, because I will never see that receipt again! I am not happy with TARGET and have spent THOUSANDS at their store over the years. I am PISSED! Target's customer service to loyal customers is a JOKE!

Target failed to properly activate gift card, now it's worthless

Thanks target for the awesome customer service... Have a worthless Visa Debit card purchased at Elk Grove, CA Target never activated by the cashier. Merry Christmas to me, $100 card worth nothing. Visa said to call Target, but Target says there is nothing they can do without a receipt. Well since it was a gift card, I didn't get a “gift” receipt and my brother didn’t keep his original. I have spent hours on the phone with various managers and customer service reps only to be still stuck with a worthless card that my brother paid $100 for. Their suggestion is to get with my brother, go to the Target he purchased the card at and try to resolve it that way. Well he is in another state, and the Target isn’t in the town where I live. Hope you enjoy the free money Target; I will never shop in your stores again!

Target return

I purchased a sewing machine at Target and was unable to use it right away. When I did set it up the bobbin mechanism was broken. I knew I was at fault for not opening it right away but I had not been using the product. Target was completely unsympathetic and refused an exchange even though I would take a $70.00 loss. I spend $400.00 a month plus at Target (bank records to show amounts). I will not shop there again. It amazes me that Target is willing to lose thousands of dollars rather than allow an exchange that could have been returned to the manufacturer. I really think they have little regard for their investors.

Target unfair treatment

Lets organize a union for target employees. Target is forcing "best practice" and they have no clue what that is. The employees are not treated fairly during any wage reviews - the most you can get is 8 cents and that's it. The only other way to get more wage is to be an ### kisser and I refuse to kiss anyones. The employees are pulled in so many directions during one work shift that they are so burnt out by the end of their shift. They are kept late at night - after the store closes to do cleaning and straightening of the store. If you call in for your shift - even with a serious medical condition - you will be treated like crap the next day if you go to work. I personally have had management ignore me and if I say something they will not respond. I am so sick of being treated like I am a timeclock number. All target cares about are profits and trying to make their image look better than what it is by donating things to charities.In fact, I received a call from an organization one day and forwarded the message to a member of management - the response was "oh, (So & so) wants another donation. Go ahead and get that union! You'll be fired before you even have to pay your union dues (which can be really expensive)! Also, you should know that unions cannot guarantee higher wages (I was unionized last year and our wages were frozen due to the poor economy).

Anyways, you should just stick it out until you find another job, but you should know, there are a lot worse places to work.

Target red card

Is Target losing their way? With all of this Red Card promotion, I was skeptical of the long-winded application to fill out and how I was going to be considered for an unwanted credit card. Just wanted a debit card to save 5%. So, I found out I could apply at the store and brought in a voided check. Went through the app process and I was mystified why my approval was delayed. Rep had no idea either. I know have excellent credit and always pay bills on time. 100% on that. This is a simple DEBIT card.
So, today, I get an answer: Not being approved because it is the law that you have to provide a physical address with your app. The letter was sent to an ancient PO box that was changed early last year too. So, its the law, huh? Do your employees know what the law is? Did an employee ask for my physical address? No. Could I have easily provided it? Yes. So, instead of asking me to provide the physical address, they told me I had to reapply with with new blank voided check, fill out the long app form and suggested I do it "next time I am in Target." I sent back a respond on their denial stating, although I go to Target up to 3x a week, there will not be a "next time." Besides the lazy or uninformed of the law customer service person who was content with a PO Box, I am getting tired of moody and disinterested cashiers. I would rather go to Walmart. Has Target lost their way?

I called Target red card services and spoke with a representative who was very rude. When I asked to speak with a supervisor he kept asking why. After the second time that I had to tell him why, he finally put a supervisor on the phone. Her name is Kelly and she was really no better than him. I told her that there was a mistake on my bill and I was charged interest. I spoke with a rep. last week who told me that she would take care of it but she didn't. She told me that there was nothing that she would do.I have been a loyal customer even after my info. was compromised and I was never late on a bill prior to this month. She said that she would cancel the card for me, which she did. Up to this point, I shopped mostly at Target for all my household needs. No more!I will be shopping at Walmart from now.

Target Account Services are bumbling idiots. After opening a card in July...I still have not received my card (it's September)! The brainiac entering my address decided to send it to a city 200 miles away from me where I've never lived in my life. I receive letter after letter telling me to call their 888 number which I've done each and every time I receive the letter to confirm, reconfirm, then reconfirm again. I'm obviously getting the damn letter! Not only that, they sent me the bill in August for my first transaction when I opened the stupid card. But no damn RedCard! So they have the smarts to send me a bill but they don't know how to send me the actual card?! Then to top it off, I've made tons of purchases without the card since then bc the temporary expired. Defeats my purpose for getting the card.

Target illegal practices

I am really pissed off with Target.com. I ordered 3 items as gifts on 12/7 and were due to be delivered by 12/15 and never came. What made me so angry was that they debited my account on 12/7 and never shipped the itemsss.saying it is in transit. They gave me an UPS tracking number...but UPS said that they never got the package. This is an old shipping trick in order to get your money and hold onto it until they are ready to give it back to you. Retailers are not supposed to debit your account until the shipment has actually been shipped..it is against the law to do otherwise. When I called for a refund they kept telling me it was in transit but could not tell me where the package was. I told them I wanted a refund and no longer wanted the items. To make a long story short, they never put the refund in the first time and when I called a second time they finally processed the refund..which I will not receive until 10 days from their notice. Meanwhile they have held my money from 12/7 and I will not receive a refund until approx. January 3rd. This money was supposed to be for Xmas gifts. I will never, never order anything from Target.com again...they are the worse and everyone that you speak to in in India.
