I am a user of the Tata Indicom USB Modem for the Laptop. I pu rchsed this item approxiametly 1 week ago and received already 2 bills. 5 days after the purchase my internet access was made off and I was told that I had to pay already a bill of 1700 Rupees. The plan that I chose was the 1500 Ruppes plan which they told me would give me unlimited internet access and 5 GB downloading. I took this and paid the bill. 2 days after the again activated my internet access I get now again a next bill to pay again 1047 Ruppes or my connection will again be made off.
I did not use my limit that I doont even have in 2 days.
Are you not ashamed of yourout tselves of cheatin people like this. I know many people complain about this. I will surely sue Tata indicom for this in court and many other people will surely do the same. This is not to take. You have to correct this immediately! What is this Tata Indicom Company only a ###ing bunnch of liars that cheat Indians of their money an d ignore it. This commpany will surely go down if it continues to cheat and ignore their costumers. You make the Indian country really look bad. Be ashamed of yourselves.

I have 6 years old intrument from Tata Indicom. Account# [protected] in MUMBAI
On many previous complaints TATA Indicom has changed the receiver and battery of that with USED ONEs. Due to that the instrument issues are not fixed permanently and come back after 3-4 months. One can bear for sometime but has to again contact the NON-RESPONSIVE tata indicom 121 line.
24th Nov - logged complaint for change of instrument
26th Nov - when the technician refused to change the intrument - logged another complaint and talked to the supervisor of the call centre.
2nd Dec - NO RESPONSE SO FAR for the new intrument - so talked to Nodal Office. Good lady promised quick action within 24 hrs and that a NEW instrument will be given to replace the old one
7th Dec - 5 days have passed and their 24 hrs are not over yet. Called again and told that they can not change the instrument to new one. And that I have to purchase a new instrument and pay for it.
VERY DISGUSTING and ANNOYING - THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER.
Piece of advise to all - DO NOT TAKE TATA INDOCOM CONNECTIONS - THEIR SERVICE IS PATHETIC.

I have a broad band connection from Tata Indicom. My internet connection is down since lat 12 days. I have complained many times. Every time I lodge a complaint it is closed after 3 days and I am informed that the complaint is resolved.
I do not know why this Tata company is cheating the customers.
There is no escalation mechanism and I am unable to go beyond the call centre.
Can anybody help me by providing me with e-mail adress or telephone of Rata Tata?

Tata Indicom Broadband internet service and support is really bad – Don’t buy !
In past 3 months my net service worked for just 30 days. The mails sent to tata indicom customer care team were not responded to for week at a time. Their nodal officer is gutless freak who says that no matter if service was not there.. I will be charged.
Its in their policy – No Refund!
I have exchanged some 200 mails and the copy paste working is inhuman. The response I get from them is way off the mark. They have ###s working in their team who have been assigned incentive to harass customers .
They don’t understand the word refund or disconnect! Their server shows me logged in even when their line is not connected!Isn’t that hilarious? I mean, if I can get net without their line, why the hell will I need to pay them?
Their engineers are great ! They have been ringing my door ball at 6:30 in the evening!
I don’t know what they do the whole day ! They close the service calls at their end and tata indicom seems to be helpless. I keep filing complaints and they either ignore them or close the calls without even checking up!
As a customer you will be required to coordinate between the customer service and engineer yourself, and damn, you won’t get paid for it either .
I was denied refund or disconnection! My fault – I asked the damn service to be removed as it was not working for 2 weeks and there was no response from their team !
Just imagine – Tata indicom charging all its customers on daily basis, even when they do not provide services . Isn’t it shocking! A policy that states that there will be no refund! Even when there is no service?
They play around to show usage on customer account to justify the charges! Damn, my system was not even switched on for a whole week!
After wasting many a hours sending mails and trying to show them some reason, I have finally stopped . I just want you to avoid such a service company and place your hard earned money elsewhere ! With Tata indicom you will only suffer nd get cheated . Tata indicom is a fraud company . Avoid it at all cost !

To start with, I took this connection about an year ago or more than that. They didn't have any setup charges if I pay them a lump-sum for 6 months together, however I was never aware that is a catch all about and am landing to a biggest trouble in my life. I paid them the amount for 6 months, it took them 3-4 days to get it installed, I was happy spped was not that impressive but I had 24 hours connectivity to internet. Soon after sometime problems started when after every few days, there was one or the other problem.
I called up their customer-care services, number bot in use. Finally got the number after dialing "Dial-in services", then got connected to someone sitting in pune, who asked me all sorts of weird questions and at the end of it told me I am forwarding it to the relevant department, who will contact you shortly and will resolve your issue, gave me a reference number. I waited for few days nothing worked no one visited. Later on I called up there center again, now this time it was a girl I was speaking with, again asked me all sorts of weird question and said I am re-forwarding the request as the reference number you are giving me on my system it says the issue has been resolved already by the department, they visited your place as well and found everything ok. Which was a total lie as noone even visited nor the problem was sorted.
Now it was already 7th day... I was really getting frustrated I called up again now this time I was speaking to person in hyderabad, I suppose then I asked him that I would like to speak to supervisor, he said no supervisors are available, when I asked him when will they be available. He said I am not too sure, I asked him if they can call me back, he first said no, then after some time trying to finish my call, he said "I am sending the mail to my supervisor, who will call you in when they are free." I waited for 2 -3 days, no one turned up no calls been made, surprisingly problem automatically was sorted out... but it was not sweet for long, thereafter what happened at night problem arose again, now i was furious called and this time I was speaking to some1 in Delhi/pune I don't remember, but she was a manger as per what she told me, she said I've noted these details and she'll personally get this sorted out for me as there have been some line breakage in my area, I asked her a simple question why can't they inform their customers about it and moreover they must provide some alternative to their customer she apologized and told me you validity would be extended and would be sorted out very soon however refused to provide and specific time.
Problem was sorted out after 3 days finally after another couple of calls.
Then after few weeks again a problem, I have just lost it... now it was getting on my nerves... I no more required any solution-I called them and told them "Since the day I've taken this connection, I've always had one or the other problem, nothing been sorted out for me as yet, so I need my money back." They said as its a prepaid a/c we can't refund, no I've hardly used their connection... no services been provided and as per the inconvenience I've faced with TATA I should have got my money back. This is not all, after so many complaints finally I can use my connection and this was the time i used my connection for more than 20 days... the maximum time I would have used the connection continuously since the time I've bought this connection.
However now it came the day to renew it, so I just thought giving it another chance toTATa, and renew it finally rather than going for a hassle to take any other co.'s connection.
It worked all fine for few days... however again the link/no browsing problem started... they again gave reference numbers and said will extend validity everytime happed during weekends, I wonder why? And I m not too sure if they even added the value to my pack or just said like that. Now, about few days ago my another renewal was due on [protected] which has not come, however they says you have only Rs. 11 in your account, you cannot use it. I told the customer care representative you should have at least called me to inform about the renewal, no calls made, nor any communication made and you have suspended my connection, they had no answer to it.
Now I said I need to access it they said you need to renew it, I aid okay how do I do it instantly, the agent "Nitin" was his name---so called floor supervisor said you can renew the a/c oer the internet paying online, I paid thru my ICICI bank Netbanking as per ICICI they have made a payment straight-a-way to vsnl TAT indicom Broadband However as per VSNL they have yet not received the payment. They can't send me a written confirmation saying that they have not received the payment so that I would take it further with ICICI bank why payment is deducted from my account, I know they have that money and someone is not doing there duty. I told them to start my services again or return my money, they say they have not received the payment.

This is very pathetic situation, that we cannot expect from such a big customer caring company like tata. I have tata indicom broadband connection, and the same have been taken to work as remote for official purpose.
Now It has been 4 days, there is no broadband service to BTM Layout, Bangalore area. I already logged a ticket for this, and daily inquiring about the ticket, and I used to get same answer every day that " It will be ready by another one hour sir " , and now somany one hours over and till this time there is no way to hope its going to come.
Concern people are not picking up their cell phone, and now I am in trouble, since this is effecting my official work. Tataindicom has taken three months amount in advance, and now they don't have any issue because money is already paid.
This is such a bad situation I ever faced.

Same case here. Tata indicom service not available for 5 days and calling up their call centre is not of any help. Everytime they will say work is in progress. The call centre people dont even know what's the problem actually. Recently they installed the service at my home but they had put the D-Slam equipment in a nearby building without permission. Soon the building people switched it off and now our connection is lying idle. What will happen to the six month's amount paid in advance we dont know.

I have taken this Tata Broadband Connection (Infinity Plan) and i curse myself for doing such a stupid thing. I just warn everybody out there, please don't go for this connection.
The connection will be down once in every week and it will take ages to make it right. Tat 2 u mite have 2 call them and pester them more than 2 - 3 times a day.
Every time you call customer care they tell you that it is resolved and i can start using but the truth remains the same that i cannot browse...

My ISP is TATA Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd., Mumbai (India). I have taken a Broadband Connection of 512 kbps from them. Their Plan is "Business 700 - 512 kbps" with 1:4 compression ratio. Firstly, I should get an real speed of 512 kbps, but they argues that as per compression ratio you will get 128 kbps speed, but then why they are advertising this as 512 kbps plan. Now as per them I should get 128 kbps speed, but in actual I am getting only 90, 80, 85, 60, 40, 9, 8, 6 kbps speed only. I lodged about 22 complaints with them, but none has been attended. I have tested their speed at various level, and have the records of all those tests. They are charging me about 1200/- Per Month, but giving only 60 kbps speed against my plan of 512 kbps. They are just cheating to public. I hereby warn public, not to take their connections.

tata indicom sold one haier cell phone to me 0n 18 feb. 10 with an offer of 1500 min free.tag. when I submitted my id. card ( driving licence, address proof and 1 photo, they asked 1150 Rs. which I paid. It was in Thana, Mumbai. MY NO. [protected].They promised immediately it will be activated. Even after 2 days it was not. I had to go to gallery again. They showed false surprize. Then one went inside and then gave me my phone back saying ' its ok. it is activated. It was he said time barred?After few days(4 to5) it is dead. The customer cell says either u have not given the needed papers or the gallery people have not sent it to the company. It tata shop, their own shop only.u dont bother us noe. It is your bad fate. go again to tata gallery in thane and ask them why papers are not sent. Have they lost or is there any play they are playing. I am without the phone. great Co. Great people. I now repaint and regret for choosing such an inefficient co.

For your kind information I would like to inform you that, my internet connection was expired on last week, and I received frequent call from your call center (Phone No. 011-[protected]) for recharge.
Four days ago when I received call from your call center I told her that u can send your executive to collect cash or cheque.
when your executive arrived, I asked that you need cheque or cash he told me that pay by cash, and I paid Rs: 2189/-when I asked about the receipt he told that we don’t have receipt we will recharge on the spot, after few second he told me that the system is not working so I will recharge within one hour, that day onwards I was a frequent caller to your customer care and the agent of our area, agent is not picking the phone, It took four days to get my internet to recharge. Today when I told your customer care person that I am going to write a letter to your organization, after that my connection was recharged, this is the way your customer are facing the problems with such a big organization like TATA INDICOM.
I was very much satisfied with the cable internet provided by the local cable network. I was disconnected that only because the name of TATA INDICOM. Here I would like to write the detail of the local agent who collects the money from me. Mr. Nitin Baisoya M/s. SLM Cable TV Network, P-169, Old Pillanji, Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi – 110023. I don’t know what’s intension behind this, but one thing is clear that, your after service is worst than any local network.
Unfortunately I paid the cash, if I pay by cheque then I will stop payment by my bank, any way I would like to inform you that, when my account expired, I am not going to give a chance to serve me any more, I will disconnect your great and sincere service. Hope your organization get the time to go through this letter.

I am using Tata Indicom since several years and never realized that my login and password has been shared to the others by tata Indicom service people for misuse.
several times I had to renew my account before the due date because of less memory balace in my account.
Today I got to know that there are many IP addresses using my internet connection using my login and password. Customer care executive says to lose the hopes and change the password and to renew the account again.
The worst part is Tata indicome site always shows error when we want to change the password.
I only use internet just to check emails but 7.5GB memory gets consumed in 3 months. I could not believe it but I used to continue because I was also working in TATA grooup.
Now I suggest everyone not to use Tata Indicom broadband or any services by that company.

The customer care of tata indicom is of no use. No one knows about their product fully. For example when I enquired about the std card named as india card launched by tata indicom was not known to the executives of customer care.
Even the customer care lines are not proper. As the voice says "Please hold while we connect to one of our representatives" the phone becomes unattended.
Haier handset never displays battery full even after charging it for the whole night.

Well since I am quite frustrated, let me be brief about it. I have a connection in Dombivli (E). Right from the start, the connection had continuous message of requested timed out. Even 9 months down the line they are not able to resolve the issue in spite of numerous complaints. The main culprit is that they are using the low quality lease line of the DIS (Dombivli Internet Service).
Additional when the complaint is supposed to be closed, they do not take the customer feedback as to whether the complaint is closed or not, which means they close on the complaints without attending them at all.

deepak baskandi did a booking for walky on 22/08/2007.Due to non availability of signal i was denied connection which makes it clear that although i was willing to get the walky installed it was your organisation which failed to provide me with a connection.On 05/09/2007 i gave an application to your franchise Dheer comn,shop no 3,rhea apts,aundh rd,khadki,pune 411003 regarding refund of my booking amt of Rs 561/-.Since then i have contacted them on numerous occasions and on 01/01/2008 again a mail has been sent to you by monisha aggarwal of dheer comn regarding my refund.I have given n number of call at your companies call centre but the responce has been discouraging.This behaviour on your componies part is not only pathetic but unethical.My CAF no is MHROMEWTR:235559.If prompt action is not recieved from your office i will not hesitate to publish your companies misdeed in national daily and approach consumer court to get justice.

i bought one tata indicom no. but the shopkeeper whom i bought my no. he didn't submitted the documents to tata, so my outgoings got barred but now when i visited nirman vihar's branch of Tata that person (shakar Sharma) he actually misbehaved that sory go to that shopkeeper he will do that he didn't entertained even for a single minute rather misbehaved that we cannot do anything u just get out, is this tata is sitting for .
then i called to customer care he there was a guy (vikas kumar) whom i said that i want to talk to ur manager then he said sory madam unless we didn't know the reason we cannot transfer the call, then i told him the reason then he said madam because we are not getting any responce we are dissconnecting but after so much ague he toldthat he is transferring my call and he put me on hold for half an hpur.

Sir/Madam,
1. I had a Tata Indicom telephone connection(telephone number [protected], now surrendered), taken during Nov 2007 from Nasik/Devlali.
2. When the connection was taken the salesman did not divulge to me the complete billing procedures which took me by surprise. Later on, disgusted by the response of the agencies/sublets regarding the billing procedure I surrendered the same connection during Mar 2008(vide cancellation request no [protected]).
3. The agency out here told me that the connection will be disconnected in due course of time. But during Apr 08 when I had gone to return the hand set, the agency told me that on some body else's request the connection had been reactivated, and I have a pending bill of Rs 15/-(Rupees Fifteen only) which again surprised me.
4. The thing which has worried me is how can such a reputed institution do such a thing to its customers. It is a known fact that in case I want to restart my connection I myself will give that authorisation, so how can the company act in such an irresponsible manner.
5. The name of the shop/agency is M/S Suyog Telecom, 1&2 Anand Mol, Near Kanya Kothari School, Jail Road, Nasik(Maharashtra), tele nos- 6515256 & 6515257.

I booked tata indicom bradband on Dec 30th 2007. While taking the connection the salesman said that there would be no problem in the process. My connection was supposed to come within 7 days. I did not come. After several calls and reminders, the people from TATA said that I cannot connection because i am a Bachelor, it seems that tata provides connections only to married people. anyways, it was fine till then. I asked them to cancel the connection and Return my cheque. Now after several calls, reminders repeatedly, still my cheque has not come. Its is almost 2 months now. I think konow i wolud have to take the next step if it is not returned, Lodge complaint in consumer forum.

I had a Tata Indicom Broadband conection in Delhi- post paid with Account No.ACCssss (user id shantasss. Due to very poor service, the connection was terminated by me around 25 July , 2006 and the CPE was collected after repeated attempts on August 12th, 2006. Now since then I have contacted all the people by e mail as well as the customer service centre to get my security deposit of Rs1000.00 back. But there is no indication as to when this will come. My last e mail dated Sept 5 has not been acknowledged by any one of the above gentlemen whose names have been given above. Although consumer are expected to pay bills on time , refund of a paltry amount like Rs1000.00 takes for ever. The customer service is horrible beyond description. E mails do not elicit any response or generate meaningless replies , calls get attended after being put on hold for 10-12 minutes on an average and the junior call centre employee taking calls cannot provide any redressal at all.

Pls look into the matter, my net is not working for last 15 days and nobody is responding to my complaints, I am being charged for every single day when the internet is not working. I have lodged numerous complaints but nobody is even ready to acknowledge the complaints.
We took a TATA Indicom BroadBand Connection on 22 Nov 2007 ( User id : rajesh_xuser@vsnl.net) and till this date we are just regretting on our decision as the internet has not worked fine even for one week. From 19th December 2007 it has completely stopped working and my numerous complaints via Emails and Telephone fall on deaf ears.
The call center executives are just courteous but in context of solving problem they are of no use.

After requesting Tata Indicom for more than 15 days to correct my interent nothing happened so I initiated a request through an email from rajesh_xuser@vsnl.net to customerservice@vsnl.co.in.
But after receiving no response I forwarded my request to
Nodalofficer.north@vsnl.co.in, nodalofficer.hq@vsnl.co.in.
Since no response came from their side also I raised the request with
appellate.authority@vsnl.co.in.
With again I got response I sent emails on 1st of Jan to
banik@vsnl.co.in, ravindran@vsnl.co.in.
Till date its been 15 days my net is not working, leave apart getting it rectified nobody is responding to my emails, I have paid advanced rent for 4 months and I have received bills also, they are deducting money as per schedule but they are least interested whether I am receiving the promised service or not. I am completely disappointed and frustrated by a company which is associated with TATA brand name which represents trust.
Pls look into the matter and help me.Pls get my connection disconnected and help me gte refund of my amount paid to Tata Indicom Broad Band. My contact detail is [protected]

I got a new broadband connection of Tata Indicom on 19th Oct 2007. It was a pre-paid connection for 6 months and I paid more than Rs.3000 for that. On 27th October, I found that the connection is not working and raised a complaint. They promised me service within 24 hours. Its 30th October already and there is no sign of service. When I call the customer care, they say that there is some cabling issue and they dont promise on any date by which they can fix the issue. On top of that, some customer care executives are very rude in their interaction and exhibit a sort of don't-care attitude.
My basic question is if they had cabling issues, why didn't they say that before giving the connection? They are very responsive till they get the money but, after that, they behave as if they are in no way related to our issue.
This is not the only reason for my anger. One of my relatives also had this connection and the service was so pathetic that it worked for only 1 day and they did not rectify the issue for more than a month. Then, they started giving lame reasons that they could rectify only if the account was renewed. They declined to provide a refund. Finally, my relative raised a cancellation request and even that is pending since 1 month.
If the consumer fails to make the payment by the specified date, he has to pay a penalty and the service provider may go to the extent of disconnecting. But, on the other hand, if the service provider fails to provide the service by the promised time, there is nothing to penalize them. They roam around freely cheating many more consumers. I think, we need to put an end to this, so that consumers have some means of penalizing the service providers for poor service.

MY MOBILE IS AUTOMATICALLY CONNECTED TO TATAZONE INTERNET, AND BALANCE DEDUCTED. I SEND MAIL TO COSTUMER CARE BUT NO USE. EVERYDAY ITS HAPPENING.
I have 6 years old intrument from Tata Indicom. Account# [protected] in MUMBAI
On many previous complaints TATA Indicom has changed the receiver and battery of that with USED ONEs. Due to that the instrument issues are not fixed permanently and come back after 3-4 months. One can bear for sometime but has to again contact the NON-RESPONSIVE tata indicom 121 line.
24th Nov - logged complaint for change of instrument
26th Nov - when the technician refused to change the intrument - logged another complaint and talked to the supervisor of the call centre.
2nd Dec - NO RESPONSE SO FAR for the new intrument - so talked to Nodal Office. Good lady promised quick action within 24 hrs and that a NEW instrument will be given to replace the old one
7th Dec - 5 days have passed and their 24 hrs are not over yet. Called again and told that they can not change the instrument to new one. And that I have to purchase a new instrument and pay for it.
VERY DISGUSTING and ANNOYING - THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER.
Piece of advise to all - DO NOT TAKE TATA INDOCOM CONNECTIONS - THEIR SERVICE IS PATHETIC.

I have a broad band connection from Tata Indicom. My internet connection is down since lat 12 days. I have complained many times. Every time I lodge a complaint it is closed after 3 days and I am informed that the complaint is resolved.
I do not know why this Tata company is cheating the customers.
There is no escalation mechanism and I am unable to go beyond the call centre.

Tata Indicom Broadband internet service and support is really bad – Don’t buy !
In past 3 months my net service worked for just 30 days. The mails sent to tata indicom customer care team were not responded to for week at a time. Their nodal officer is gutless freak who says that no matter if service was not there.. I will be charged.
Its in their policy – No Refund!
I have exchanged some 200 mails and the copy paste working is inhuman. The response I get from them is way off the mark. They have ###s working in their team who have been assigned incentive to harass customers .
They don’t understand the word refund or disconnect! Their server shows me logged in even when their line is not connected!Isn’t that hilarious? I mean, if I can get net without their line, why the hell will I need to pay them?
Their engineers are great ! They have been ringing my door ball at 6:30 in the evening!
I don’t know what they do the whole day ! They close the service calls at their end and tata indicom seems to be helpless. I keep filing complaints and they either ignore them or close the calls without even checking up!
As a customer you will be required to coordinate between the customer service and engineer yourself, and damn, you won’t get paid for it either .
I was denied refund or disconnection! My fault – I asked the damn service to be removed as it was not working for 2 weeks and there was no response from their team !
Just imagine – Tata indicom charging all its customers on daily basis, even when they do not provide services . Isn’t it shocking! A policy that states that there will be no refund! Even when there is no service?
They play around to show usage on customer account to justify the charges! Damn, my system was not even switched on for a whole week!
After wasting many a hours sending mails and trying to show them some reason, I have finally stopped . I just want you to avoid such a service company and place your hard earned money elsewhere ! With Tata indicom you will only suffer nd get cheated . Tata indicom is a fraud company . Avoid it at all cost !

To start with, I took this connection about an year ago or more than that. They didn't have any setup charges if I pay them a lump-sum for 6 months together, however I was never aware that is a catch all about and am landing to a biggest trouble in my life. I paid them the amount for 6 months, it took them 3-4 days to get it installed, I was happy spped was not that impressive but I had 24 hours connectivity to internet. Soon after sometime problems started when after every few days, there was one or the other problem.
I called up their customer-care services, number bot in use. Finally got the number after dialing "Dial-in services", then got connected to someone sitting in pune, who asked me all sorts of weird questions and at the end of it told me I am forwarding it to the relevant department, who will contact you shortly and will resolve your issue, gave me a reference number. I waited for few days nothing worked no one visited. Later on I called up there center again, now this time it was a girl I was speaking with, again asked me all sorts of weird question and said I am re-forwarding the request as the reference number you are giving me on my system it says the issue has been resolved already by the department, they visited your place as well and found everything ok. Which was a total lie as noone even visited nor the problem was sorted.
Now it was already 7th day... I was really getting frustrated I called up again now this time I was speaking to person in hyderabad, I suppose then I asked him that I would like to speak to supervisor, he said no supervisors are available, when I asked him when will they be available. He said I am not too sure, I asked him if they can call me back, he first said no, then after some time trying to finish my call, he said "I am sending the mail to my supervisor, who will call you in when they are free." I waited for 2 -3 days, no one turned up no calls been made, surprisingly problem automatically was sorted out... but it was not sweet for long, thereafter what happened at night problem arose again, now i was furious called and this time I was speaking to some1 in Delhi/pune I don't remember, but she was a manger as per what she told me, she said I've noted these details and she'll personally get this sorted out for me as there have been some line breakage in my area, I asked her a simple question why can't they inform their customers about it and moreover they must provide some alternative to their customer she apologized and told me you validity would be extended and would be sorted out very soon however refused to provide and specific time.
Problem was sorted out after 3 days finally after another couple of calls.
Then after few weeks again a problem, I have just lost it... now it was getting on my nerves... I no more required any solution-I called them and told them "Since the day I've taken this connection, I've always had one or the other problem, nothing been sorted out for me as yet, so I need my money back." They said as its a prepaid a/c we can't refund, no I've hardly used their connection... no services been provided and as per the inconvenience I've faced with TATA I should have got my money back. This is not all, after so many complaints finally I can use my connection and this was the time i used my connection for more than 20 days... the maximum time I would have used the connection continuously since the time I've bought this connection.
However now it came the day to renew it, so I just thought giving it another chance toTATa, and renew it finally rather than going for a hassle to take any other co.'s connection.
It worked all fine for few days... however again the link/no browsing problem started... they again gave reference numbers and said will extend validity everytime happed during weekends, I wonder why? And I m not too sure if they even added the value to my pack or just said like that. Now, about few days ago my another renewal was due on [protected] which has not come, however they says you have only Rs. 11 in your account, you cannot use it. I told the customer care representative you should have at least called me to inform about the renewal, no calls made, nor any communication made and you have suspended my connection, they had no answer to it.
Now I said I need to access it they said you need to renew it, I aid okay how do I do it instantly, the agent "Nitin" was his name---so called floor supervisor said you can renew the a/c oer the internet paying online, I paid thru my ICICI bank Netbanking as per ICICI they have made a payment straight-a-way to vsnl TAT indicom Broadband However as per VSNL they have yet not received the payment. They can't send me a written confirmation saying that they have not received the payment so that I would take it further with ICICI bank why payment is deducted from my account, I know they have that money and someone is not doing there duty. I told them to start my services again or return my money, they say they have not received the payment.
Beware!
This is very pathetic situation, that we cannot expect from such a big customer caring company like tata. I have tata indicom broadband connection, and the same have been taken to work as remote for official purpose.
Now It has been 4 days, there is no broadband service to BTM Layout, Bangalore area. I already logged a ticket for this, and daily inquiring about the ticket, and I used to get same answer every day that " It will be ready by another one hour sir " , and now somany one hours over and till this time there is no way to hope its going to come.
Concern people are not picking up their cell phone, and now I am in trouble, since this is effecting my official work. Tataindicom has taken three months amount in advance, and now they don't have any issue because money is already paid.
This is such a bad situation I ever faced.
Same case here. Tata indicom service not available for 5 days and calling up their call centre is not of any help. Everytime they will say work is in progress. The call centre people dont even know what's the problem actually. Recently they installed the service at my home but they had put the D-Slam equipment in a nearby building without permission. Soon the building people switched it off and now our connection is lying idle. What will happen to the six month's amount paid in advance we dont know.
The customer care are extremely rude. All they say is that the problem will be resolved but no one turns up.
The worst and the ever worst services provided by the tata indicom broadband, india.please dont subscribe if u expect a good services it will be the worst.
I have taken this Tata Broadband Connection (Infinity Plan) and i curse myself for doing such a stupid thing. I just warn everybody out there, please don't go for this connection.
The connection will be down once in every week and it will take ages to make it right. Tat 2 u mite have 2 call them and pester them more than 2 - 3 times a day.
Every time you call customer care they tell you that it is resolved and i can start using but the truth remains the same that i cannot browse...

My ISP is TATA Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd., Mumbai (India). I have taken a Broadband Connection of 512 kbps from them. Their Plan is "Business 700 - 512 kbps" with 1:4 compression ratio. Firstly, I should get an real speed of 512 kbps, but they argues that as per compression ratio you will get 128 kbps speed, but then why they are advertising this as 512 kbps plan. Now as per them I should get 128 kbps speed, but in actual I am getting only 90, 80, 85, 60, 40, 9, 8, 6 kbps speed only. I lodged about 22 complaints with them, but none has been attended. I have tested their speed at various level, and have the records of all those tests. They are charging me about 1200/- Per Month, but giving only 60 kbps speed against my plan of 512 kbps. They are just cheating to public. I hereby warn public, not to take their connections.

tata indicom sold one haier cell phone to me 0n 18 feb. 10 with an offer of 1500 min free.tag. when I submitted my id. card ( driving licence, address proof and 1 photo, they asked 1150 Rs. which I paid. Then one went inside and then gave me my phone back saying ' its ok. it is activated. It was he said time barred?After few days(4 to5) it is dead. The customer cell says either u have not given the needed papers or the gallery people have not sent it to the company. It tata shop, their own shop only.u dont bother us noe. For your kind information I would like to inform you that, my internet connection was expired on last week, and I received frequent call from your call center (Phone No. 011-[protected]) for recharge.
Four days ago when I received call from your call center I told her that u can send your executive to collect cash or cheque.
when your executive arrived, I asked that you need cheque or cash he told me that pay by cash, and I paid Rs: 2189/-when I asked about the receipt he told that we don’t have receipt we will recharge on the spot, after few second he told me that the system is not working so I will recharge within one hour, that day onwards I was a frequent caller to your customer care and the agent of our area, agent is not picking the phone, It took four days to get my internet to recharge. Today when I told your customer care person that I am going to write a letter to your organization, after that my connection was recharged, this is the way your customer are facing the problems with such a big organization like TATA INDICOM.
I was very much satisfied with the cable internet provided by the local cable network. I was disconnected that only because the name of TATA INDICOM. Here I would like to write the detail of the local agent who collects the money from me. Mr. Nitin Baisoya M/s. SLM Cable TV Network, P-169, Old Pillanji, Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi – 110023. I don’t know what’s intension behind this, but one thing is clear that, your after service is worst than any local network.
Unfortunately I paid the cash, if I pay by cheque then I will stop payment by my bank, any way I would like to inform you that, when my account expired, I am not going to give a chance to serve me any more, I will disconnect your great and sincere service. Hope your organization get the time to go through this letter.

My plan is 128kb unlimited for three months and after recharged it’s too Slow to operate
I am using Tata Indicom since several years and never realized that my login and password has been shared to the others by tata Indicom service people for misuse.
several times I had to renew my account before the due date because of less memory balace in my account.
Today I got to know that there are many IP addresses using my internet connection using my login and password. Customer care executive says to lose the hopes and change the password and to renew the account again.
The worst part is Tata indicome site always shows error when we want to change the password.
I only use internet just to check emails but 7.5GB memory gets consumed in 3 months. I could not believe it but I used to continue because I was also working in TATA grooup.
Now I suggest everyone not to use Tata Indicom broadband or any services by that company.

The customer care of tata indicom is of no use. No one knows about their product fully. For example when I enquired about the std card named as india card launched by tata indicom was not known to the executives of customer care.
Even the customer care lines are not proper. As the voice says "Please hold while we connect to one of our representatives" the phone becomes unattended.
Haier handset never displays battery full even after charging it for the whole night.

Well since I am quite frustrated, let me be brief about it. I have a connection in Dombivli (E). Right from the start, the connection had continuous message of requested timed out. Even 9 months down the line they are not able to resolve the issue in spite of numerous complaints. The main culprit is that they are using the low quality lease line of the DIS (Dombivli Internet Service).
Additional when the complaint is supposed to be closed, they do not take the customer feedback as to whether the complaint is closed or not, which means they close on the complaints without attending them at all.
deepak baskandi did a booking for walky on 22/08/2007.Due to non availability of signal i was denied connection which makes it clear that although i was willing to get the walky installed it was your organisation which failed to provide me with a connection.On 05/09/2007 i gave an application to your franchise Dheer comn,shop no 3,rhea apts,aundh rd,khadki,pune 411003 regarding refund of my booking amt of Rs 561/-.Since then i have contacted them on numerous occasions and on 01/01/2008 again a mail has been sent to you by monisha aggarwal of dheer comn regarding my refund.I have given n number of call at your companies call centre but the responce has been discouraging.This behaviour on your componies part is not only pathetic but unethical.My CAF no is MHROMEWTR:235559.If prompt action is not recieved from your office i will not hesitate to publish your companies misdeed in national daily and approach consumer court to get justice.
i bought one tata indicom no. but the shopkeeper whom i bought my no. he didn't submitted the documents to tata, so my outgoings got barred but now when i visited nirman vihar's branch of Tata that person (shakar Sharma) he actually misbehaved that sory go to that shopkeeper he will do that he didn't entertained even for a single minute rather misbehaved that we cannot do anything u just get out, is this tata is sitting for .
then i called to customer care he there was a guy (vikas kumar) whom i said that i want to talk to ur manager then he said sory madam unless we didn't know the reason we cannot transfer the call, then i told him the reason then he said madam because we are not getting any responce we are dissconnecting but after so much ague he toldthat he is transferring my call and he put me on hold for half an hpur.

1. I had a Tata Indicom telephone connection(telephone number [protected], now surrendered), taken during Nov 2007 from Nasik/Devlali.
2. When the connection was taken the salesman did not divulge to me the complete billing procedures which took me by surprise. Later on, disgusted by the response of the agencies/sublets regarding the billing procedure I surrendered the same connection during Mar 2008(vide cancellation request no [protected]).
3. The agency out here told me that the connection will be disconnected in due course of time. But during Apr 08 when I had gone to return the hand set, the agency told me that on some body else's request the connection had been reactivated, and I have a pending bill of Rs 15/-(Rupees Fifteen only) which again surprised me.
4. The thing which has worried me is how can such a reputed institution do such a thing to its customers. It is a known fact that in case I want to restart my connection I myself will give that authorisation, so how can the company act in such an irresponsible manner.

AWAY FROM VSNL/TATAINDICOM BROADBAND...
I booked tata indicom bradband on Dec 30th 2007. While taking the connection the salesman said that there would be no problem in the process. My connection was supposed to come within 7 days. I did not come. After several calls and reminders, the people from TATA said that I cannot connection because i am a Bachelor, it seems that tata provides connections only to married people. anyways, it was fine till then. I asked them to cancel the connection and Return my cheque. Now after several calls, reminders repeatedly, still my cheque has not come. Its is almost 2 months now. I think konow i wolud have to take the next step if it is not returned, Lodge complaint in consumer forum.
I had a Tata Indicom Broadband conection in Delhi- post paid with Account No.ACCssss (user id shantasss. Due to very poor service, the connection was terminated by me around 25 July , 2006 and the CPE was collected after repeated attempts on August 12th, 2006. Now since then I have contacted all the people by e mail as well as the customer service centre to get my security deposit of Rs1000.00 back. But there is no indication as to when this will come. My last e mail dated Sept 5 has not been acknowledged by any one of the above gentlemen whose names have been given above. Although consumer are expected to pay bills on time , refund of a paltry amount like Rs1000.00 takes for ever. The customer service is horrible beyond description. E mails do not elicit any response or generate meaningless replies , calls get attended after being put on hold for 10-12 minutes on an average and the junior call centre employee taking calls cannot provide any redressal at all.

Pls look into the matter, my net is not working for last 15 days and nobody is responding to my complaints, I am being charged for every single day when the internet is not working. I have lodged numerous complaints but nobody is even ready to acknowledge the complaints.
We took a TATA Indicom BroadBand Connection on 22 Nov 2007 ( User id : rajesh_xuser@vsnl.net) and till this date we are just regretting on our decision as the internet has not worked fine even for one week. From 19th December 2007 it has completely stopped working and my numerous complaints via Emails and Telephone fall on deaf ears.
The call center executives are just courteous but in context of solving problem they are of no use.

After requesting Tata Indicom for more than 15 days to correct my interent nothing happened so I initiated a request through an email from rajesh_xuser@vsnl.net to customerservice@vsnl.co.in.
But after receiving no response I forwarded my request to
Nodalofficer.north@vsnl.co.in, nodalofficer.hq@vsnl.co.in.
Since no response came from their side also I raised the request with
appellate.authority@vsnl.co.in.
With again I got response I sent emails on 1st of Jan to

Till date its been 15 days my net is not working, leave apart getting it rectified nobody is responding to my emails, I have paid advanced rent for 4 months and I have received bills also, they are deducting money as per schedule but they are least interested whether I am receiving the promised service or not. I am completely disappointed and frustrated by a company which is associated with TATA brand name which represents trust.

I got a new broadband connection of Tata Indicom on 19th Oct 2007. It was a pre-paid connection for 6 months and I paid more than Rs.3000 for that. On 27th October, I found that the connection is not working and raised a complaint. They promised me service within 24 hours. Its 30th October already and there is no sign of service. When I call the customer care, they say that there is some cabling issue and they dont promise on any date by which they can fix the issue. On top of that, some customer care executives are very rude in their interaction and exhibit a sort of don't-care attitude.
My basic question is if they had cabling issues, why didn't they say that before giving the connection? They are very responsive till they get the money but, after that, they behave as if they are in no way related to our issue.
This is not the only reason for my anger. One of my relatives also had this connection and the service was so pathetic that it worked for only 1 day and they did not rectify the issue for more than a month. Then, they started giving lame reasons that they could rectify only if the account was renewed. They declined to provide a refund. Finally, my relative raised a cancellation request and even that is pending since 1 month.
If the consumer fails to make the payment by the specified date, he has to pay a penalty and the service provider may go to the extent of disconnecting. But, on the other hand, if the service provider fails to provide the service by the promised time, there is nothing to penalize them. They roam around freely cheating many more consumers. I think, we need to put an end to this, so that consumers have some means of penalizing the service providers for poor service.
