To Whom It May Concern;
I was one of your clients last year and I wanted to inform you that I have reported you to the BBB for the inconsistency and lack of adequate service to which I received. I also have contacted the FTC about your service or the lack of service. I called last year and was told that my case was already closed out before anything was actually done on it (They explained that they only start the process). I have also contacted the Special Finance office to which I have been making payments to about the fact that you have already closed my case without any type of resolution done, so they are also looking into this matter. I paid you nearly $4000 for services which were not in my estimation satisfactory (nothing was actually done that I couldn't do myself), they explained to me that this will be investigated. (Why would I pay for something that has not yet been completed) I once asked your agent last year about the IRS forgiveness program which was and is still being offered for back taxes and heard nothing back from you all, in fact I understand that the agent that was handling my case has since QUIT your firm and there is now no POC and (again this is because my case is closed).
I want it known that this is no way to run a business and you are playing with individuals finances, personal assets and more. This is SAD that you treat others with no respect.
Desired outcome: I want my case RE-OPENED and some type of satisfaction.... I want to know what are my options if any. If this cannot be accomplished I want the collection of my fee's to stop IMMEDIATELY and I want my money that was paid refunded.

Deceptive sale pitch

Extremely extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the services. They did not provide the proper services to me, which is consistent with the previous concerns. I did not get a three-month review. The manager informed me that I did not require one because I did not own my own business.
They assured me that I would be able to comprehend the issue I was having with my taxes; however, this was not the case because they did not explain anything. I was just told to contact my human resources department for extra assistance and to claim zero.
There are no plans in place for how to proceed to avoid future tax issues. When I explained to the manager my complaints and how the services did not match the sales pitch, he basically said the case worker was right and the services were correct according to their contract in a sort of rude and demeaning way. In essence, they ought to be honest about the services that they are rendering and put an end to the deceptive sales pitch that they use. The business essentially established a payment schedule. It probably would have been better to work with the CBE group that was supplied by the IRS.

Tax issues
I contacted Tax Defense Network before Thanksgiving. I was told "Oh Yes We Can Help You". However, we need $200 and someone will call you on November 25, 2022, at 9 am. However, this never happened. I called the following week and of course, got the run around about it being the holiday, etc. I was told somebody would call me back. I waited for a call none came.
A person claiming to be Jason called approximately three days later claiming that 'IRS would not give them access to my account. He claimed that he would see what he needed to do to help me. I was VERY CLEAR that I had already been scammed by another company claiming they would help me and all they did was take my money. So here I am again with this company and the same thing has happened. I just want my $200 back as I have had to make my own arrangements from a fixed income with medical issues. It is unbelievable how these companies are allowed to do this when people really need help. Filing a complaint as well with Attorney General In my State.

Service not doing what they were hired for
I was a customer they had been working on my federal taxes for the past three years when I get a phone call from matt saying in order for them to finish my federal I would need to file my back state taxes it would cost $500.00 to file so I sent them the money three weeks goes by and he calls again saying it would cost $3,000.00 to file to complete it all. The 45 min. Conversation he spent telling us we be in so much trouble if we didn't do this right now we never would have any peace of mind so I asked if I could make payments he said no I had to pay it all right then so I sent the money. Five months go by and I get a call from someone who said they were the office manager and that I needed to call the state franchise board to get a poa so they can start to file my state taxes. Right then I said enough and that I wanted a refund of the $3,500.00 and my files sent back to me. Thats when they started ghosting me they wouldn't answer any calls, texts, emails nothing. Then the same office manager calls and acts like nothing happened and I needed to call the tax board again I said I just wanted a refund of my money and my files returned she said ok they would give me my money back. I am blind and it is a shame that a company is aloud to do this to someone. To this day I have not received my refund or my files. And they never even completed the federal taxes I orginally hired them for I did my sending the federal $200.00 a month. So they did nothing. Just took a lot of my money. Joseph muscarella

TAX Defense dropped off the map once they received my money.
After Tax Defense determined they could not help and told me my account would be closed and my monthly payments for the last five months would be returned and finance account with UFCS terminated, Tax Defense dropped off the map. My emails and phone calls were not returned and the finance charge continues to be drafted from my bank account. Phone numbers given to me were not working numbers. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY.

Tax relief
I signed up for TDN and did the finance option to pay for my service as funds are very tight for my spouse and I. We owe taxes to federal and state and was told on the phone after the assessment we would qualify for non collections so we wouldn't have to make payments. After signing up and it taking some time for someone to reach out to me, I am not at the point of getting no money back and the only thing that can be done for me is payment plans of $289 for the state and $80 for the local. I could have set these payments up myself as this is not a reduced rate whatsoever. And on top of the payment to state and local, I am now paying $370 a month for these services that got me no where!

Lack of communication regarding filing Federal and state taxes
I am a veteran, a business owner, and my husband is active duty. I contacted TDN to resolve business, federal and state taxes. They talked a pretty game but follow through was almost non existent. To sum it up I paid my contract fee, I asked for a status from the POC that worked at MoneySolver (it appears a sub of TDN) who I signed Power of Attorneys with and he said, "I don't do corporate taxes and I won't get paid for any other work so I am passing your case off." On to person number two at MoneySolver who was quick to initially reach out.
1. Nothing was explianed why he needed new Power of Attorneys.
2. I routinely emailed and asked if we could just have a brief conversation instead of trading emails.
3. Neither he or his staff could find my tax paperwork. It took me sending an email to all parties stating the issue for it to be resolved.
4. It was always one more paper I had to fill out, everything was so piece meal.
5. Finally, he/his communication faciliator said they had everything...Then, they tell me someone else is going to prepare the tax forms. To add icing to the cake, the new lady asks me for ALL the tax forms again.
6. I reached out to Tiffany, Chad's assistant, and requested a status update on 25 Jan. by the ed of the week. Zero communication. I even called and left voice mails. I then proceeded to forward the email I sent Tiffany to Chad and requested an update. Nothing. Finally Tiffany emails me this week and lets me know she had an extenuating circumstance, which one would think her manager would have replied and let me know. Nope.
7. I related the importance of addressing all the filing and asked for an update and did not receive one when I asked.
Desired outcome: 1. Filing of Federal and for Chrysalis 2019 and 20202. Filing of Federal for me and my spouse3. Filing state for 2019 and 2020 for me and my spouse

I contacted TDN in March when my bank acct. was frozen by the CA Tax Board. It was a communication struggle w/ TDN, but my bank acct was finally unfrozen. I had them prepare my taxes for [protected]. My bank acct has been seized once again by the State. I am getting threatening letters fm IRS now as well. It's now been a week & the person handling this is on vacation until next week! I can't get anyone to help me with this. I've emailed & called only to be ignored. I'm in debt to this company for over $8000. I need help!

I signed up for services to help reduce my tax debt I paid half of the cost up front with monthly payments that was Feb 5, 2021 I was sent emails welcoming me and I was assigned to Tyrone Taylor I spoke with Tyrone who stated that he usually checks in with updates about every three weeks. Tyrone was doing my 2021 tax return also and the forms he sent me were out dated and I tried contacting him to let him know and It wasn't until I sent him an email telling him I was dissatisfied and wanted to discontinue service. He contacted me I sent my information for taxes he prepared my return however there was incorrect information and mistakes in the return. I immediately contacted him received no response it wasn't until I waited about the three weeks and never heard from him I reached out again and he sent me what he said was the corrected and stated that he thought he sent them to me but must not of. I looked over the taxes again and it was still incorrect and I sent him another email and have heard nothing back as of this writing. I also explained my situation of having to go to court by my ex husband regarding the tax situation and that was in march and I explained that I was told by the judge that I would have to have taxes paid or a resolution by may 2021 which is the next court appearance I have to attend. I still do not have my taxes filed and I am very dissatisfied with the service I have received and I now have to get my taxes done and deal with the courts and IRS on my own. I'm requesting a complete refund due to lack of service and complete unprofessionalism. Please discontinue the payments you are automatically deducting and please refund the entire amount of monies that I have paid for thus far.

Tax debt resolution / irs monthly payment plan
l decided to used Tax Defense Network March 15, 2017. l had recieved a notice from the lRS. l have been dealling with health issues so rather than handling this myself, l went to the internet and Tax Defense Network was listed as the top rated lRS service.
l was really unhappy from the start with the service and their unprofessional process and mannerism. Soon l just wanted out. The person handling my case stated that l was suffering from "buyer's remorse". But l had a talk with Lee Singleton and thought l would give them another try to see what would happen before considering not to use their services.
l had dealt with the lRS before, and what this company was doing was nothing more than what l had done myself. l knew all about the lRS's allowable expenses and the numbers they were telling me. That is basically how anyone can reduce their payments. But l was expecting something more. That was what l was paying them for.
No one ever gave me a time line. No one kept me updated. l went through weeks where l heard nothing from the company. l contacted them. No one ever went over the process of what l was paying for or what real advantage they offered. No one went through what options were possible and what options would work best for me and why. No one there realized that l would need to get my medical billing information or my actual pay stubs. They came to me late in the process indicating an urgency to meet the lRS deadline, not even apologizing for the lack of foresight and for the inconvenience and stress this might cause me. Not to mention the weeks l waited to hear from them where l could have provided that information before the deadline was near. And No one told me l would actually be represented by another person, someone who never had even spoken to me or had any personal connection to me whatsoever.
At this point l had had enough and decided to end their services.
l had felt all along that what they were doing was something l could have done myself. l had told them so several times and no one ever contradicted me. What they told me was that they had representatives that dealt with higher level agents at the lRS. This initially gave me the impression they could work out a compromise that would help me out in my situation. But l now l feel these agents just go through a list of cases in their meetings to streamline the process, and not for the benefits of their clients.
l now have a debt of thousands of dollars for a service l did not use, and ended up paying $400 a month, the same result they were shooting for. This whole process was even more stressful than dealing with the lRS myself. l am still hoping that l will eventually receive a refund. l could not accept their lack of information, their customer service, and their lack of foresight and failure to offer any options to help me in my situation, or go beyond what l could do myself.

The company Tax Network Defense, even by my own admission and comments, never did anything contrary to what they said they were going to do. They provide a service for people who need help with the lRS. Because of my health issues at the time, l couldn't deal with the lRS so l chose TDN because the were the highest rated tax resolution company. There would have been a problem with any company l would have dealt with because l am very familiar in dealing with the lRS and their processes. l previously had worked out several "hardship" payment plans with the lRS. TDN put in their time and effort while they represented me. ln the end, l just felt l would do better representing myself. However, they do help many people who have lRS tax issues. l have been communicating with TDN, and we have agreed to a fair agreement.
Incompetent tax attorney
Don't ever hire Tax defense network as your tax attorney. The tax lawyer that supposedly handled my case had absolutely no experience or understanding of the process he was supposed to be an expert. I should have seen the red flags after trying to find about info on my case and each time I called I was passed from one person to the next because nobody knew anything about what was going on with my case or even who I was. I am assuming the work was done by the lawyer they said was handling it, but it is possible my case was handled by an employee with no qualifications and the attorney was just a name and a face for marketing. Either way hiring Tax defense network was a terrible mistake they cost me a whole lot more than just their fee.

Fraud, Scam, Watch Out
I recently decided to confront my looming IRS problems, which I was very hesitant/embarrassed about doing. I chose Tax Defense Network because they had a good Better Business Bureau rating, although the representative was very rude on the phone-I should have ran away then! He told me I would be facing jail time if I didn't work out my issues-which I found out later was a lie. Once I hired them, they gave themselves power of attorney to sign documents on my behalf which I never approved. This resulted in the filing of papers that essentially make it impossible for you to make any payments or do anything tax wise for what can be years! It was a tactic used in order to prolong the process rather than reduce what I owed. It doesn't matter how much time passes-I will never be able to afford what the IRS says I owe. On top of these worries, I now have years and years looming over my head knowing I'll still owe the IRS just as much when all of this is over. When I called to tell Tax Defense Network about my disappointment they were extremely rude and refused to refund my money. They did not deliver on any of the promises they made and I am an extremely upset customer.

I agree with this; I recently had the same issue they told me they could removed or reduce my debt to the IRS they did neither. I was paying $150 a month for a tax settlement after paying Tax defense Network $2500 to handle my case I now have to pay the IRS $308.00 a month, there was no reduction of anything. From the amount of negative complaints I've seen across the internet I'm assuming something is up with TDN; however, this is the first post I've seen where TDN actually responded and offered to help. Ripped me off
I hired Tax Defense Network (TDN), Inc. to help me account for my losses on my 2010 tax return?. They promised me they could when I described my problem before hiring them". They did nothing about my losses and filed a return showing that I owed a lot of taxes!. When challenged, they said that there were problems including my losses; that was what I hired the turkeys for, to correct the problems/.
They left me holding the bag with the IRS and refused to return the $1950 I paid them to determine how to account for my losses (they never made any attempt) and tried to bribe me with $500 and a contract to not tell any one about their negligence, . I refused to be bribed!.
I reported the ripoff to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Florida; They claimed an A rating with the BBB as a selling point:. They should have an F rating!

Tax Defense Network Is no different than JK Harris or Tax Masters! I was Originally ripped off by Tax Masters With a sales pitch that promised me an Offer In Compromise With no results and an up front fee of 5 GRAND!
Well guess what. I called JK Harris and got the same answer to my Tax problems. Did not trust it for a second. So i kept looking for a reputable Tax Company. I called TDN and you know what? they told me the same thing as Tax Masters and JK Harris! FIVE Thousand Dollars for an Offer In Compromise that i knew darn well i wasn't qualified for.
Finally i got Help from Dave at US Tax Liberty He didn't try to sell me, but told me exactly what was up. And then told me they can't even quote a service fee until they contact the IRS and find out what can actually be done with my case. His number is [protected] if you still need help.
There is a simple rule to find a good tax help company. If they try to sell you with a reduction right there on the first phone call with that fee right away then STAY AWAY! Tax Defense Network, JK Harris, and Tax Masters are nothing but SCAMMERS!

I just got through my tax nightmare! I avoided this company by doing research before deciding on someone to represent me. The problem is they take your money before getting a clear picture on your situation with the IRS. Companies like Tax Relief Foundation conduct an investigation first. This is the only honest way to conduct business in this arena. Both you and your representation have realistic expectations. I would recommend them to my parents. That says a lot.
Why don't you report them to the FL Bar Association?
Sorry I mean TDN would not put me in touch with either the CPA and the Tax Attorney they so called have onsite. They coax you into giving them a deposit so they can start working with you. Any other CPA would never. I could have gone to HR Block and got the same results.
LOL...Consumer 9745 you work for the Company so stop writing comments to clear things up. TDN did my federal taxes and worked on an installment agreement. They did not guide me through the penalty abatement process and did not really care. I felt like I was doing everything while I gave them $2900 to just work on federal, not state. I asked for both then they wanted to charge me for state. I mean please, who charges 690.00 to get simple taxes done. I could have paid that to the IRS. They really just worked out a plan the IRS could have. I would have rather the IRS just take money out of my paycheck. Tax Defense Network scares you into working with them. The truth is the IRS has tax preparers and you can call them. You may not get exact results, but at least you are going to the source. BTW - I asked a number of times to speak with the CPA at TDN, they would transfer me...I asked to speak with the Tax Attorney...same thing. The only people I spoke with were uneducation people with no accounting degree. This company will eventually go out of business for fraud. How sad to take advantage of vulnerable people at a time when they are struggling to feed their children.
Wow, i used Tax defence network last year and had a pretty good experience. I had called jk and tax masters and got an icky feel in from them. They tried to sell me an offer too, the rep at tax defense network said that was not realistic for my case and wouldn't charge me for thar service. He said they would look into that but would also charge my case and try for a more realistic setlement. So i paid a much lower charge, the ex revenue officer on their staff said no way could I get an offer and comp. Instead, they lowered my penalties and interest by like 90 percent. So I saved ton of money and was happy.
