I purchased a TCL75R635 from Amazon back in November 2021. I know its 2024 but this issue has been going on for a while now, with no resolution. The problem started in early 2023. I was watching TV on this beautiful set when i noticed at the top of the set and the bottom a purple line going horizontally across. I decided to reach out to TCL to get some trouble shooting and hopefully the issues resolved. I mean the TV is only a year and half years old at this time. I called TCL tech support and spoke with someone who had me go over what issues I was having. They also asked if this was happening on any specific HDMI input, I let them know it was on not only the HDMI inputs, but every streaming app. Essentially everywhere. TCL Rep advised and assured me there were two steps we could take, one of them will work. The first is to do a power cycle. I followed their instructions and still the purple lines were on the TV. They then had me do step 2 which is a complete factory reset. I would have to call back after and let them know if it worked. I did the factory reset and for those who have had to do this know what a pain this is. It's not the act that stinks but reentering all your information back and downloading apps and custom picture settings. I preformed the factory reset to find out the problem was still there. I contacted the support team and went over this with them. They then asked if I purchased an extended warranty. I advised that I didn't and that frankly I have never needed to. They then said there is nothing we can do. I said the TV is barely over the time limit there has to be. There are always case by case exceptions. I'm in business there isn't always a black and white. I said I would even be willing to pay a difference if there was one. They said if I contact the seller they could and have helped before.

I knew this wouldn't work but what choice did I have. I contacted Amazon and spoke with a manager, and they were dumbfounded why TCL would suggest this and that Amazon only has a 30-day return policy. They gave me a different number to call TCL so I felt a little more optimistic. I called the number and this time spoke to someone who wasn't the most pleasant person to talk to. Went over everything with them to hear there is nothing we can do; I need to call the seller. They advised me to take to get repaired. I told them I live in a rural town; I don't have a vehicle big enough for this TV and that the repair center is over an hour from the house, and they aren't taking new stuff because of they are shorthanded. I asked if I could please speak to a manager. They put me on hold. Came back I think 20 minutes later to tell me all managers were busy, and rest assure someone will call me back.

I get a call back a few days later which to be honest I didn't think I would. This person was even less friendly and helpful then the last. I went over everything again and once again the same response. I explained Amazon doesn't know why you are wanting me to call them and that you should help. He robotically said sorry sir you are out of the warranty there is nothing I can do. I explained I have several TV's from your competitors and purchased TCL based off of word of mouth. I also said your product didn't even last two years. He said that I would need to take it to a service center, I explained what I told the last agent. I said again, I am willing to pay any difference, just please can you help me. There is nothing I can do; you can contact the seller. It's frustrating to think that a manufacture wouldn't stand by their product. There is no physical damage to the set, just this issue. It didn't even last 2 years. I'm writing this now because every day I watch television, I used to be in awe... The picture was amazing. Truly amazing. I don't have that anymore. All I see are the purple lines and remember the ridiculous service TCL extended me.

I have included pictures of the TV with an All-white screen to show how bad it is, and also what the lines look like when you are watching TV.

Desired outcome: I would like them to make this right. Thats it. Stand by your product especially your flagship products.
